A delicate intro with samples of bustling twilight life gradually eases you into Shadowplay, before a retrospective melody echoes around an uncertain soundscape. Light breaks and pads develop the vibe before the track transforms as the unmistakable Demon's Theme break returns, superbly crafted rolling amens taking you right back to 1992 in ASC's expertly executed, inimitable Spatial style.
A2 - Lacuna
Crisp, sharp breaks open Lacuna in rampant stuttering style, a sci-fi aura riddling this detailed piece with hi hats and machine gun kicks, quickly conjuring a suspenseful intrigue alongside constant pads and epic effects. Driven by deep sub bass and a haunting melody that captivates the listener, long cymbals and synthwork continue before the second half of the track deepens further before the breaks subside for a lush, calming outro.
AA1 - Dimensions
ASC delivers a stunning, deeply atmospheric track with Dimensions, introduced by swathes of elegant synthwork before the Hot Pants breaks begin, chopped elegantly while a heavy bassline drops and the coloured soundscape whooshes and swirls as yearning vocals reverberate. After a sullen breakdown the breaks return and switch up to a rolling 2-step pattern which will leave you and your dancefloor drifting to another realm.
AA2 - Southern Cross
Closing the EP we have Southern Cross, a pensive number with a delicate, intricate selection of breaks - refined with exquisite clarity - set to washes of pads and synths across the mix. ASC utilises a simple high note melody to punctuate proceedings over the swirling atmospherics and breaks, creating a subtle ghostly feel to the track - perfect for a mid set direction shift or an introspective set closer as well as mesmerising headphone material.

Borned In Ya zeigt Carpers langjährige musikalische Einflüsse ebenso wie ihre künstlerische Entwicklung und ihren Sinn für Abenteuer.

Neben ihrer bekannten Mischung aus Country mit Jazz, Blues, Soul und R&B setzt Carper auf dem neuen Album ihre subtile Mischung dieser Elemente fort und kreiert Songs, die die Genres kreuzen und an die "populären" Sounds einer anderen Ära erinnern. Von Refrains im Gospel-Stil über funkige Grooves, die an den klassischen R&B der 50er und 60er Jahre erinnern, bis hin zu Hillbilly-Jazz, Honky-Tonk und Country-Soul - Carper hat ein weiteres Meisterwerk geschaffen.
Melissa Carper wollte dem Old-School-Sound der 1940er- und 1950er-Jahre treu bleiben, den die Fans von ihren von der Kritik gefeierten Alben Daddy's Country Gold (2021) und Ramblin' Soul (2022) kennen und lieben, und gleichzeitig ihre einzigartige Mischung aus Blues, Soul, frühem Rock'n'Roll, Jazz, Western Swing und Country-Sounds einbringen.

Something Amazing" is a love song about finding magic in the everyday moments of a relationship. An ode to 90’s r&b, best heard with the windows down and someone you love in the passenger side. Inspired by the warm, super sunny feeling of Lucy Pearl, SAULT, and Moonchild, this Relyae produced track for Ariel is a love song about the time after you fall in love. That calm complete feeling you get when you really trust and connect with someone. This is RnB/Soul/Pop singer Ariel's Mello Music Group debut.

KEYS has just completed their second album, “The Grand Seduction”. This all-keyboard band is the brainchild of singer Jake E (Cyhra, Amaranthe and others) and keyboardist Mark Mangold (Touch, Drive, She Said, Michael Bolton, Cher, Paul Rogers and others) with Emanuel Bagge (Sweden’s Got Talent Finalist) on additional vocals and keys, Irwan Fabrien (noted keyboard guitar sound designer) with help of drum gurus Alex Landenburg (Kamelot, Cyhra and others).

Featuring live performances with three keyboardists and a huge battery of keyboards, this ambitious band brings keyboard and instrumental prowess to new heights while playing songs that run the gamut from scathing progressive melodic forays to catchy and melodic rock anthems …and Jake’s award-winning voice (Burrn Vocalist of the year 2020). Previous KEYS album also featured guest keyboard additions by Charlie Calv of Angel and others.

Though songs are first and foremost, this band shows the versatility of keyboards in this day and age. These artfully crafted songs are ripe with scathing synth, organ and “guitar” pyrotechnics, dazzling time signatures and drumming, bombastic choruses and “guitar” riffs (played on keyboards with the now available plug in’s that perfectly emulate guitars). As Mark and Jake are first and foremost award winning songwriters, they never lose sight of the composition and melodies, though couched in the very signature and hard to pigeon hole sound (isn’t that the whole point?) of this band and Jake's 4 octave vocal range.

Lovely work from Marisa Monte – perhaps a bit sweeter than some of her earlier stuff, but pretty darn catchy, and with some excellent production by Arto Lindsay! The tracks have a mellow breezy feel, with a compressed production style that includes a lot of flanged-out guitar, subtle electronics, and warm acoustic touches. As with most of Marisa's albums, the record's filled with work by famous guest stars – like Joao Donato, Arnaldo Antunes, Marc Ribot, Carlinhos Brown, and others. Titles include "O Que Me Importa", "Nao E Facil", "Perdao Voce", "Abololo", "Gotas De Luar", and "Agua Tambem E Mar".

The Punishment Of Luxury was Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark's thirteenth studio album, but surprised everyone commercially with the first album since 1991 to reach the UK Top 10. The album continued the sound they created with 2013's English Electric. A sound strongly tied to their roots, but this time a bit more stripped down. As Andy McCluskey describes it: ""There’s a little bit more sort of crunchy industrial sound in a few things, a bit glitchty-er. But you know, the bottom line is that have a sense of melody that we just can’t throw off"". Even after almost 40 years, the band are still able to surprise their fans, making The Punishment Of Luxury a must for all synthpop fans. The Punishment of Luxury is available as a limited edition of 1000 copies on blue coloured vinyl. The record is housed in a jacket with die-cut and includes a printed innersleeve.

'The Masquerade Overture' war das Album, das Pendragon 1996 zu größerer Popularität verhalf. Es verkaufte sich über 90.000 Mal und wurde zu einem Maßstab für melodischen Progrock in den 1990er Jahren. Das Album wurde ursprünglich als 2-CD-Set mit den zusätzlichen Titeln 'Schizo' und 'King Of The Castle' veröffentlicht. Diese beiden Fan-Favorites sind seit 1997 nicht mehr erhältlich, und wurden nun nochmals diesen 2LP-Reissue beigefügt. Das aufwendig von Simon Williams illustrierte und wertig verarbeitete Gatefold kommt inkl. fester bedruckter Inner Sleeves sowie einer Lederoptik! Die Band tritt im Juli beim 'Final Night Of The Prog'-Festival als Headliner auf.

"Moments To Remain" kann man als die Fortsetzung der letzten drei ACT OF CREATION Alben verstehen, dennoch sollte man es als eigenständigen Release betrachten.

Der ehemalige Type O Negative/Danzig-Schlagzeuger Johnny Kelly und der Gitarrist und Riffschreiber Dan Lorenzo (Hades/Non-Fiction) gründeten Patriarchs In Black Ende des Jahres 2021. Die Songs auf dem neuen Album "Visioning" vereinen Elemente des klassischen Doom Metals mit modernen Sounds sowie Ausflüge in den Hardcore/Crossover.
Gemischt und gemastert wurde das Album bei JROD Productions von Jon Cioicari.

Ihre Debütsingle "Demon of Regret" erschien im Januar 2022 und das komplette Album "Reach For The Scars" wurde am 1. Juli 2022 veröffentlicht. Ihr zweites Album "My Veneration" erschien am 6. Oktober 2023 mit mehreren Gastsängern und Bassisten.
Für das kommende 3. Studioalbum "Visioning" hat Dan Lorenzo zwölf neue Songs geschrieben. Neben Schlagzeuger Johnny Kelly sind wieder eine Reihe großartiger Sänger und Bassisten dabei, wie Dave Neabore (Dog Eat Dog), Karl Agell (Corrosion Of Confirmity), Eric Morgan (A Pale Horse Named Death), Mark Sunshine (Riotgod), Jason McMaster (Watchtower), Kyle Thomas (Exhorder) und viele mehr.

Die Songs auf "Visioning" vereinen Elemente des klassischen Doom Metals mit modernen Sounds sowie Ausflüge in den Hardcore/Crossover.

Continue As Amery is the debut album by Montreal-based artist Amery. Formerly recording under the moniker Alpen Glow, Continue As Amery sees the songwriter step out into a bold, colourful world full of pop hooks, snagging feelings of abandon and the mornings after. Amery Sandford began releasing as Alpen Glow in 2020 after years playing in punk groups in Newfoundland and as half of Montreal pop duo Born At Midnite (Arbutus). Recorded in Montreal by David Carriere (TOPS, Marci), Patrick Holland, and Kristian North, Continue As Amery is a blast of melodic joie de vivre. On her debut Sandford brings her punk and DIY credentials into sharp focus on 8 perfect pop odes to city living, making mistakes and figuring it out as you go along. Suffuse with powerful imagery and an almost uncanny talent at spinning out hooks brimming with humour and spirit, Amery’s soundworld is informed by friendship, experience and by her day job as a renowned illustrator and visual artist. Beginning Alpen Glow in a spirit of fun and now shedding the alias, Amery’s ready to hotwire the nite. Each song is rich with story. Mountain FM, named for the radio station in Sandford’s home town in the mountains of Alberta, launches into a tale of speeding, blasting the radio too loud, the giddy burning of rubber with no care in the world to slow you down. Featuring live band members Sarah Harris, Jack Bielli, and Frank Climenhage, the singer bristles to get out of her stifling hometown while lamenting the wide eyed adventurer who left for the big city. On Hotwire The Nite, Amery is out on the town, with imagery loaded with the night’s promise. Amery sings “Black candle / Dripping intel / Dagger hanging by an emerald handle / Holy roller that I just can’t have without my hand on an old flame,” diving in and out of fantasy and desire over a pulsating banger. Moments like these feel like a thesis on aural pleasure, with the production sleek and silky playfulness persisting throughout. Spirit Is Broken is a pep talk the artist is giving herself in the mirror. Only Amery could write something so joyous and harmonically glorious while singing about low ebbs. Every line shines with humour, the chorus starting with an exasperated “oh my god, alright” and the refrain nailing the bittersweet feeling of enjoying feeling down. It’s a mood continued on slow groover Ennui, a melter striking out at being stuck; same parties, same faces, daring to dream beyond. As an illustrator and visual artist, Sandford’s images detail dancing instrument-clad animals, party scenes that nod to historical image making heavy hitters like Hieronymus Bosch and Ludwig Bemelmans. On Miracles, Amery deals in bold pop production and her yearning to escape into fantasy, given wings by Korgs and drum machines. On Rocker Blues, originally by French artist FR David, Amery brings the heavy with synth-guitar and an undeniable chorus. C9 is in some ways the album’s centrepiece, a mid tempo funk jam and duet with Montreal stalwart Fireball Kid, it’s the party just out of reach on the horizon. Jerome Thomas kehrt zurück mit seinem neuen Album “Submerge”, das in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Produzenten Pitch 92 entstanden ist und nimmt uns mit auf eine zutiefst menschlichen Entdeckungsreise. Textlich setzt sich Jerome mit den Themen Schwarzsein, der Suche nach Sicherheit sowie der Komplexität von Liebe und Lust auseinander. Klanglich verbindet das Projekt musikalische Einflüsse der Vergangenheit mit einer zeitgenössischen Produktion und lässt uns eintauchen in eine Mischung aus Jazz, R&B und 70’s Soul.

Der in Hackeney, London, geborene und aufgewachsene Jerome Thomas ist bekannt für sein umfangreiches stimmliches Können und die Fähigkeit, Soul auf seine eigene Art und Weise einen zeitgemäßen Kontext zu verleihen. Er hat bereits mit Künstlern und Produzenten wie FloFilz, Talos, Blue Lab Beats, Joe Armon-Jones, Serious Klein, Maxwell Owin und Bluestaeb zusammengearbeitet.

Nearly a decade after their last album, Lilacs and Champagne picks up right where that record, Midnight Features Vol. 2: Made Flesh, left off. With bizarre excursions into pillowy, sentimental made-for-TV music - and children's choirs incanting the blackest dread-filled music the band has conjured to date - Fantasy World is both transcendent and traumatic. Despite sharing two founding members of Grails (multi-instrumentalists Emil Amos and Alex Hall) Fantasy World only peripherally resembles their core group. Lilacs & Champagne have exaggerated their early record's implications and accelerated their mercurial rearranging of music history by deftly incorporating live instrumentation and samples with equal amounts of deference and disregard. Previously existing primarily in a realm adjacent to instrumental hip-hop (J Dilla, Clams Casino, Madlib), Fantasy World exposes Lilacs & Champagne's deeper lineage as playful tape-collage culture jammers in the vein of legendary sound satirists, Negativland and Severed Heads. It embraces the effect of a child entering a dollar store: the immediate euphoria felt upon discovering the seemingly endless aisles piled impossibly high with novelty toys, utensils, party decorations, and toiletries eventually gives way to the overwhelming realization that they're actually just a tourist in a perilous mountain of colorful garbage. From those mountains, Lilacs & Champagne mold monuments to curiosity and confusion.
