Die Geschichte besagt, dass Christian und Sam 2015 zusammen in einem lokalen Restaurant arbeiteten.
Nachdem sie Dylan kennengelernt hatten, begannen sie zu jammen, bevor sie Richard in die Band einluden.
Über ihre Musik hinaus erstreckt sich ihre Verbundenheit sogar auf ihre jeweiligen Lebensumstände. Die
Freundschaft hat Vorrang vor allem - wie das Mantra ”Take Care of Each Other” beweist. Als sie 2019 bei
Fearless Records unter Vertrag genommen wurden, stellten sie sich auf ”Native Tongue” formell vor.

Toe is composed of Kashikura Takashi on drums, Yamane Satoshi on bass,
and Mino Takaaki and Yamazaki Hirokazu on guitar.

Vinyl. Ursprünglich 1997 veröffentlicht, war es das Album, das die Band zum Ruhm katapultierte und sich
weltweit über 15 Millionen Mal verkaufte und 6-fach mit Platin ausgezeichnet wurde. Das Album enthält
die Hitsingles ”My Own Prison”, ”Torn”, ”What’s This Life For” und ”One”. Mit diesen Songs dominierte
die Band jahrelang den US-Sender.
Die Jubiläums-Edition ist als 1LP erhältlich.

Originally released in 1984 'Fire In My Heart' fuses elements of disco, funk and new wave to create a mystical masterpiece. 'Won't Be Your Fool' has more obvious 80's leanings and the 12" closes with the Instrumental Dub of 'Fire In My Heart', stripping back the vocals and letting the bassline work its magic. Completely re-mastered for 2016 and distributed worldwide by Rush Hour.

On March 16, 1968, the United States Army killed over 500 unarmed
civilians in the hamlet of My Lai, Vietnam
The unimaginable brutality of the event impacted all those who witnessed it
firsthand, including helicopter pilot Hugh Thompson, who, against orders,
intervened to save Vietnamese lives. Thompson's story is the basis of the opera
My Lai, composed by Jonathan Berger (music) and Harriet Scott Chessman
(libretto) for Kronos Quartet, Vietnamese multi-instrumentalist Vân-Ánh Vanessa
Võ, and vocalist Rinde Eckert. This definitive recording of My Lai captures the
visceral, phantasmal depictions of Thompson's grief, horror, and guilt as he is
haunted by persistent memories of that cataclysmic day, half a world and nearly
four decades away. Tense and unforgiving, My Lai is "a gripping affair, beginning
to end" (New York Times). Presented here alongside recollections by Vietnamese
survivor Tran Van Duc, it is a memorial to all the My Lai villagers killed on that
grim day.

* The 7” A side, ‘My Homeland’, is a Sax/Hornz instrumental track and features top Jamaican Hornzman, Alvin Davis. The B side has a heavyweight Dub from Alien Dread.

Alvin is also well known ref Jazz and other musical areas, as well as Reggae and has worked with many Jazz, Soul and mainstream artists including: Andy Hamilton, Rose Royce, Prince, Edwin Starr, The Foundations, Neville Staples (Specials & Fun Boy Three), Jackie Graham, Nigel Kennedy and Reggae-wise, Alton Ellis, Macka B, Maxi Priest and David Hinds (Steel Pulse) and many others.

An alternate version of A side track will be featured on the forthcoming Alvin Davis & Alien Dread album: Dreadland (Iron Sound).

Bill Summers is a latin jazz percussionist from New Orleans who ventured in to jazz funk and soul in the 70s and early 80s. He also played with Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters and worked on film scores such as “The Color Purple”. He recorded four albums for the Prestige label from which these two rare groove vocal tracks are taken. The two-stepper “Come Into My Life” was written by Alphonse Mouzon and produced by Skip Scarborough (Earth Wind & Fire). Originals on both songs sell for £50 each, if you can find them, two for price of one here. “Don’t Fade Away” features vocals by Leo Miller and was produced by Ndugu (Chocolate Jam Company/The Crusaders). From The period, Bill Summers had a disco hit with “Straight To The Bank”.

UK proudly presents the fifth release for Howard Johnson on the label! “You’re My Star” is another winner from the man who, together with Kashif, brought boogie-funk to the forefront of popular soul music in the UK (and probably the rest of the world as well). The track is written by no one less than Leon Sylvers III and on the flip we find the laid back and smooth Yardley Mix. Definitely not to be missed as it is a limited UK press with full colour printed picture cover!
