He put so much love and passion into his work and found it hard to cope with the fact that not everyone can be pleased. Something needed to change. So, he reformed his life routines, took up meditation to calm the storm and did everything he could to negate the numbness. And what he ended up with was a newfound love for music and an incredible three-part album: Feel Again.

Das Debütalbum des Queer-Alt-Rock-Duos Arxx aus Brighton enthält neben den Singles 'Call Me Crazy' ft. Pillow Queens und 'Couldn't Help Myself' (bbc Radio 1 Introducing Track of the Week) auch die neueste Auskopplung 'The Last Time', produziert von Steve Ansell (Blood Red Shoes) produziert und gemastert von Katie Tavini (Arlo Parks). Der Song, ein ansteckendes Paket bittersüßer Emotionen, hüllt den Hörer in eine einfühlsame Decke aus kathartischer und doch ambivalenter Post-Herzschmerz-Wärme ein, indem es mit lyrischen Dissonanzen spielt und Gefühle von Niedergeschlagenheit, Selbstmitleid und Akzeptanz gegenüberstellt.

Purple/Black smoke vinyl. Limited 300 copies. Morning Again formed in the 90's and helped create the metalcore sound that is so popular today. The band become well known by combining different aspects of metal and hardcore with Politically charged lyrics and messages. Over the years the band has released Multiple 7", Ep's as well as a full length on Revelation Records. This new Ep contains the same energy, passion and aggression that the band has always had. Sonically this is their best recording to date and let's us hear what Morning Again sounds like with the most modern recording technology and an amazing producer/engineer once again. "Borrowed Time" was recorded by Beau Burchell from Saosin in Orange County, CA. He has also worked with The Bronx, Trash Talk, Underoath and Senses Fail. This new record has a song called "Resignation" which features guest vocals by Trevor Strnad from The Black Dahlia Murder.

Magenta/Black-Smoke Vinyl, limitiert auf 250 Exemplare. Die Metalcore/Screamo-Band Stick to Your Guns wurde 2003 von Sänger Jesse Barnett in Orange County, Kalifornien, gegründet. Die Band, die mit Größen wie Comeback Kid und Protest the Hero verglichen wird, wurde von Sumerian Records-Chef Ash Avildsen entdeckt, der die ohnehin schon angesagte Band auf ein Live-Showcase setzte. Kurz darauf unterschrieb die Band einen Vertrag mit dem Label. Das erste Album der Band, For What It's Worth, wurde 2007 veröffentlicht. Die Band wechselte im Anschluss zum Indie-Metal-Label Century Media, das im Frühjahr 2008 das Nachfolgealbum "Comes from the Heart" veröffentlichte. Comes from the Heart ist die zweite Veröffentlichung der amerikanischen Hardcore-Punk-Band Stick to Your Guns. Das Album erreichte Platz 33 der Billboard's Heatseekers Charts. Diese Vinyl Version enthält 4 Bonustracks, die bisher nur auf einer limitierten CD-Version erhältlich waren.

Show Me The Body ist ein in New York City ansässiges Hardcore-Trio, bestehend aus Julian Cashwan Pratt (Gründer; Banjo und Gesang), Harlan Steed (Gründer; Bass) und Jackie McDermott (derzeitiger
Schlagzeuger). Die Band organisiert seit 2015 nicht-traditionelle DIY-Räume für Jugendliche in New York und hat diese Arbeit seither durch ihre zeremoniellen Live-Shows, die Punk-/Hip-Hop-Mischtouren und
ihre CORPUS NYC-Plattform auf eine globale Bekanntheit ausgeweitet. ”Trouble the Water” ist der Höhepunkt von fast einem Jahrzehnt des Kampfes gegen die Gleichgültigkeit von New York City; zugleich eine Aufforderung an eine gleichgesinnte globale Gemeinschaft, die Alchemie der Familienbildung zu fördern.
Trouble The Water wurde komplett in den CORPUS Studios in Long Island City mit dem Metal-Veteranen Arthur Rizk (Code Orange, Power Trip, Ghostemane, Turnstile, Candy, Xibalba, Pissed Jeans) aufgenommen und von Studio-Mitbegründer Aidan Bradley mitproduziert.

Was Fettes Brot zwischen 2007 und 2011 mit ihrer Band called 'Das Nervenkostüm' in die Welt jaulten, kann nur in Emoji-Lingo beschrieben werden: fire fire fire. Zu 11t spielten sie sich den Rücken krumm. Festivals, Hallen, Clubs - alles brannten sie ab. Jeden Abend: Monster! Mutationen! Atomkraft, ja bitte! Seinerzeit brachten sie die Beweisbänder direkt auf zwei Live-Alben gleichzeitig heraus. 'Fettes' und 'Brot'. Ein blaues und ein oranges. Wer das hier liest, hält (bald) die auf ein einzelnes Album heruntergekochte Essenz des F/B Twin-Albums in Händen. Alle Hits bis 2010 sind drauf. Neben 'Nordisch by Nature', 'Schwule Mädchen' und 'Bettina' hagelt es Coverversionen von Rio Reiser, The Clash, Steve Miller und Superpunk (der Bonustrack!). Es ist ein Monolith unter allen FB Platten. Eine perfekte Pizza nach Art des Hauses. Abzulegen zwischen Beastie Boys, Dexys, The Specials. Alles Favoriten aus ihrer ewigen, allnächtlichen Tourbus-Disco. Nicht schlecht für ein Live-Album. Dem besten aus der Erde.

Der blitzartige Aufstieg von Freya Ridings mit ihren Singles „Lost Without You“ und „Castles“ aus ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum machte sie zu einem der internationalen Überraschungserfolge der letzten Jahre. Mit „Lost Without You“ wurde Freya zur ersten weiblichen Künstlerin, die einen komplett selbst geschriebenen UK Top-10-Hit seit Kate Bushs „Running Up That Hill“ im Jahre 1985 feiern durfte.

Das ebnete ihrem Debütalbum den Weg zu einem immensen weltweiten Erfolg: Platz 3 der britischen Charts, über eine Milliarde Streams und phänomenale 47 Platin- und Goldauszeichnungen aus aller Welt.

Das mit Spannung erwartete zweite Album ”Blood Orange” wurde von Freya geschrieben. Dazu kamen ausgesuchte Kollaborationen mit Steve Mac (Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi), Kamille (Dua Lipa, Little Mix), Will Bloomfield (Alfie Templeman, The Vaccines), LostBoy (Mimi Webb, Rita Ora), Phil Plested (Lewis Capaldi) und Scott Harris (Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes). Das Ergebnis ist ein Album, das in 14 lebensbejahenden Songs alles auf den Tisch legt, was sie ist, was sie durchgemacht hat und was sie geworden ist.

Los Angeles based pianist, producer, and songwriter John Carroll Kirby traveled to Pietrasanta, Italy in the summer of 2018 on a self-imposed writing trip. During his stay he composed Tuscany, a two side-long solo piano exploration of this particular geographical envelope, a place where nature is shaped into form.

Kirby would cycle 12 kilometers each day to Cascata di Malbacco, a waterfall with jade pools and silver stone, and the inspiration for Side A of Tuscany. His own Cascata di Malbacco tumbles and shimmers along the piano as a gorgeous eighteen-minute-long improvised piece, some of it polished and some moments left raw.

On a ride to Sant’Anna, twenty-something kilometers away, Kirby took a wrong turn and got lost among the hills, where he encountered several monuments memorializing the victims of the Sant’Anna di Stazzema massacre. The dark history of an abandoned mill house served as the inspiration for the album’s haunting Side B, a eulogy for all of those forgotten by time.

Although Side A is inspired by the natural beauty of a waterfall, and Side B by the cruelty that people can inflict upon others, both pieces revolve around the same seven-note bassline. The idea Kirby is iterating on is the realization that darkness exists inside light, and vice versa; Tuscany is an inquiry into this duality and its consequences.

John Carroll Kirby has recently released records on Leaving Records, Outside Insight and Pinchy & Friends. In the studio and on the road, he’s produced and/or played with Connan Mockasin, Blood Orange, Sebastian Tellier, Shabazz Palaces and Solange.
He recently signed to Stones Throw Records.

Patience is a new outlet for exploring further beyond the break than usual. Inspired by the music perpetually on rotation at HQ – with E2-E4 representing the format’s high tide mark – each release will be one artist’s deep dive down one inspirational wormhole spread across two sides of vinyl, or two side-long sojourns making full use of a round 12” piece of plastic. Giorgi Kolbaia (aka Downwell) & Giorgi Kharanauli are a good example of those talented georgian artists. They have made partnership as Initial Light to present a more relaxed work in relation to their solo acts stuff, “40 Degrees In The Air” is a blend of Italo, breaks, synthwave and modern ebm / new beat keeping a common pleasant industrial taste in the 6 tracks included in their vinyl debut.
