It all began in the late 1980s with *Calypso of House* by K.T.E. (released by Irma Records), a track that made history
in Italian house music.
The man behind the project, Francesco "Kekko" Montefiori, went on to collaborate with Claudio Rispoli (aka DJ
MozArt) under the name SOFTHOUSE COMPANY, creating cult classics like *What You Need*.
He later formed the duo Montefiori Cocktail with his twin brother, Federico "Chicco" Montefiori, touring the world together.
Now, the story continues.
Kekko Montefiori and Lorenzo "Meo" Meoni (resident DJ at BICIO PAPAO)
are launching OTUM Records to revive the Softhouse Company and Keytronics Ensemble projects.
The goal: to capture the original energy of the Italian House Music "Golden Age" and project it into the future.
No nostalgia—just high-quality dance music.
"Otum" means "excellent" in the slang of Italy’s Romagna region.

New The Hague based recordlabel Otherminds is landing with their first ever release ’Symbolic Language’, from local cosmox.

From day one OTM witnessed his obsession for electronics. Manifested by throwing countless raves, playing otherworldly dj-sets, co-running an atomic studio bunker & label and making mind-bending music. Now it’s time for his solo vinyl debut.

The 5-track EP is a blend between IDM, ambient and techno influenced pieces. A story which symbolizes a deeply shared connection and a transformative period in which the producer expands his palette further into the sonic realm.

A new Uk based label from a small collective of close friends with a keen interest of getting fresh music out on vinyl only. To get things going Jase steps up with a 2 track 12''. 'You Wanna Get Real' ... great little stomper with raw bass , raw drums & vocal samples. On the other side 'Whispers' a minimal banger with a cheeky side to it, tidy first release from Off The Map Records.

Be No Rain, the moniker of South London’s Sam Frankl is a project that was born out of a studio decked out with disco balls, fairy lights and fake ivy; a perfect aesthetic to the sound that followed.“It felt like there needed to be a character that could be as flamboyant as I wanted to be and remove the constraints that being human leaves you with” Frankl explains “It was incredibly liberating”.It’s about being trapped into that infinity loop of emotions, like a cartoon character wandering through a world he never quite understood”.The debut album from Frankl comes on the back of a collaboration with Armin Van Buuren on single Hollow. All album’s come signed by Frankl.
