Already affiliated with labels such as Token Records and WSNWG, and following his contribution to Veil Of Echoes II, Pierce returns with a release that further defines his voice, establishing him as one of the most eclectic and distinctive emerging artists in the scene.
The EP opens with Luminous, driven by a solid groove and a uniquely recognisable vocal, before moving into Sentimento, a direct and powerful cut built around raw, gritty synth work. Cassiopeia follows, darker in tone, carrying a sense of melancholic tension that sets it apart. On the flip side, Gunslinger delivers high-impact energy with a driving groove, while Twisted Fantasy explores a more chaotic and textural approach, shaped by distorted elements and unpredictable arrangements. Delira continues the journey with hypnotic vocals and an intense, immersive groove.

With this release, Pierce firmly positions himself as one of the most compelling emerging voices in the current techno landscape.

SILENCER's merciless emotional firestorm "Death – Pierce Me" is one of the few albums truly deserving the designation ‘cult’. From humble beginnings in the extreme underground, it rose to become a widely acclaimed masterpiece with a massive following.

To celebrate the album’s 20th anniversary, Lupus Lounge reissues this pioneering depressive metal milestone in lavish editions worthy of its legacy. "Death – Pierce Me" will be available as a 48-page hardcover CD book edition including a bonus track, and as part of a complete box set featuring a gatefold vinyl edition, a 12" version of SILENCER’s 1998 demo, and additional bonus materials.

When SILENCER released their sole full-length album under the same title as their 1998 demo, the time seemed ripe for an emotionally devastating strain of black metal incorporating doom elements and expressing bleak emotions of bereavement, loneliness, and despair. This emerging subgenre became known as ‘depressive black metal’, sometimes more extremely labeled ‘depressive suicidal black metal’.

Around 1998, this movement coalesced around Swedish acts SILENCER and SHINING, alongside Quebec’s MALVERY and US band XASTHUR, drawing influence from earlier pioneers such as Norway’s STRID and Germany’s BETHLEHEM.

While SHINING gained notoriety, SILENCER faded into obscurity, surrounded by rumor and legend. With only one historical interview, no live performances, and no follow-up album, the band became mythic. Through word of mouth alone, "Death – Pierce Me" continued to grow in stature, culminating in an IMPALA Silver Award in 2021 for 20,000 verified European sales.

Debuting on Token with his 'Blind Witness' EP, Pierce serves high-intensity cuts produced with finesse and flare. An architect of wide dimension, the producer works meticulously not only on the bite of his elements but the textures that glue everything together. Diving into immersion, Pierce executes four surgically precise tracks that burst at the seams and onto the dancefloor.



The balance of design to compliment each element is a tough feat, but Pierce funnels his expertise into very precise intention, making 'Blind Witness' a force to be reckoned with already so early in the year.

Pierce the Veil is an American rock band from San Diego, California. Formed in 2006, the band was founded by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes after the disbandment of the group Before Today. Other members of the band include Jaime Preciado (bass) and Tony Perry (lead guitar). To celebrate the 10-years anniversary from ‘A Flair For The Dramatic’ original release Rude Records is delighted to present the album in a new and refreshed format with remixed and remastered audio. The band extensive touring action saw them perform multiple times on Vans Warped Tour stage from 2008 on. Das Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project, das sich aus Teilen des legendären Gun Clubs, Freund*innen des Sängers Jeffrey Lee Pierce (1958-1996) und Fans des Künstlers zusammensetzt, präsentiert mit "Axels & Sockets" den dritten Teil eines außergewöhnlichen Projekts. Mit Künstler*innen wie Nick Cave, Debbie Harry, Mark Lanegan, Lydia Lunch, Warren Ellis, Mick Harvey und Kid Congo Powers sind hier viele bekannte Namen der ersten zwei Teile "We Are Only Riders" und "The Journey Is Long" vereint. Zum ersten Mal dabei sind keine Geringeren als Mark Stewart, Thurston Moore, Primal Scream, Andrew Weatherall und Punkikone Iggy Pop! Koordiniert von Pierce"s musikalischem Wegbegleiter Cypress Grove, schaffen es die Musiker*innen auch beim dritten Teil, aus Songskizzen, Demoaufnahmen, Riffs, Textfetzen und Soundschnippseln, die Pierce vor seinem Tod aufgenommen und niedergeschrieben hatte, neue und atemberaubende Songs zu machen.

Nach dem erfolgreichen 2009er-Debüt "We Are Only Riders" legt das Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project ein zweites Album mit zuvor unveröffentlichten Vorlagen des Gun-Club-Sängers Jeffrey Lee Pierce (1958 - 1996) vor, wiederum eingespielt von befreundeten Artists und Weggefährt*innen. Ausgangspunkt für viele Songs war eine Musikkassette mit Songideen von Pierce, die Cypress Grove, ein Musiker aus der späten Gun-Club-Phase, zufällig beim Aufräumen fand. Wie im von Pierce so geliebten Jazz, spielte beim Sessions Project jeder bei jedem, interpretierte oder bearbeitete man gemeinsam textliche und melodische Fragmente. The A-side is comprised of two songs by Spiritualized, and the B-side contains
dub- like versions of Stockholm- based musician Henrik von Euler's piano EP,
Hemskogen. As everyone knows, four songs are rarely enough for an LP. So, it
was time to dig up a few old favourites. "I have loved Spiritualized ever since the
release of their debut album, Lazer Guided Melodies, in 1992. I'm especially fond
of the slow songs and their abysmal bass lines. "Take Your Time" is one of them,
and the idea to make something with it has followed me for a long time. "I Think
I'm in Love" is here translated into "Jag tror jag är kär". The energy of it invites
irresponsible late-night driving", says Magnus Sveningsson.

The collaborative debut of American minimal techno pioneer Troy Pierce and Colombian audiovisual artist Natalia Escobar aka Poison Arrow was conceived in reverse: first they created a collection of shadowy surrealist videos, then wrote music inspired by them. This inverted process proved remarkably fruitful. Shatter is a simmering, slow-burn noir odyssey inspired by the Greek myth of Echo and Narcissus, traversing subtle shades of sleepwalker dub, metallic lament, broken beats, and erotic negative space. It's an effectively unsettling evocation of the legend's core theme: “There is nothing more complex than a shattered heart, or a heart that can't love.”

Considering their shared background trafficking in darkened dance floor modes, what's most striking about Pierce with Arrow's partnership is its rhythmic restraint. The album's 10 tracks seethe and shudder between glamor and gloom, with only occasional dread-steeped metronomes mapping the malaise to a grid. They speak of pursuing a “spatial approach” with this project, which manifests in the music's immersive design and patient execution, each mangled clang and rippling pool of bass allowed to reverberate

its full flickering waveform.

Guest appearances by austere techno producer Konrad Black ("Obsidian Glass") and drum n bass institution dBridge ("It's A Love Story, After All") flow seamlessly into the whole, subtle sculptural accents on a dimly lit descent through purgatories of longing and lust. But the shadows recede for the record's closing cut, "Narcissus," which swells elegiacally in a mass of devotional drones over a muted heartbeat, like Narcissus gazing upon his reflection in holy awe: elusive true beauty, finally beheld, by itself.
