In den späten neunziger Jahren war Wien Welthauptstadt der elektronischen Musik - Namen wie Kruder & Dorfmeister, Pulsinger & Tunakan, Waldeck, Electric Indigo oder Fennesz künden davon. Danach kam lange Zeit nichts, bis eine neue Generation - von HVOB bis Parov Stelar, von Dorian Concept bis Elektro Guzzi - sehr nachdrücklich eigene markante Sound- und Leuchtspuren setzte. Und nun kündigt sich abermals ein Zeitsprung an.
Zu große Töne gespuckt? Nein. Selbst Christian Fennesz zieht schon den Hut. Vor Drahthaus. Einer Band, die eigentlich keine Band ist. Noch nicht einmal eines der vielen Projekte, die immer und überall rasch entstehen und noch rascher wieder vergehen. Hier ist etwas radikal anderes im Kommen. Das 2015 gegründete Kollektiv Drahthaus ist ein Zusammenschluss diverser in Wien lebender Kreativer (Musiker, Künstler, Designer, Filmemacher, Techniker, Programmierer, Handwerker, Veranstalter und Kreativer jeglichen Geschlechts) mit der Vision, alte Strukturen in Frage zu stellen. Und Raum für gänzlich Neues zu schaffen.
Die Faktoren Lust, Neugier, Fachwissen und künstlerische Vernetzung sind mit im Spiel. Auch wenn Drahthaus den anarchischen Freiraum der Kunst mit präzisen, systematischen, analytischen Fragestellungen vermessen. Im April erscheint das erste Album - es trägt keinen Titel. Aber es wird die Elektroniksphäre aus den Angeln heben. Lokal, national, international. Willkommen im Drahthaus.

Absolute madness unearthed by Paul Ebhart and Florian Stöffelbauer aka Heap for Wiener Brut's third release
Chicago-meets-Vienna-vibes - music way ahead of it's time produced in the 80s by short-lived formation Aktionskunst Gerasdorf aka Athletico Kunst Gerasdorf, a project that is well known for it's contribution to the legendary Viennese sampler ‚Die Tödliche Dosis'.

808-driven beats programmed by René Radikal (R.I.P.) backing Melanie Delval's tender voice, with multiple guest musicians (e.g. Fritz Grohs) rounding things up and adding their spice to the laidback jams alongside stand-out musical heavy hitters. A composition of sound you never heard before.

* Another brand-new hot-shot from the ever-active Partial Records label, arriving in the shape of a production from Dreadsquad aka Marek Bogdański, who has been active on the reggae / dub / digital / dancehall scene for almost 20 years, collaborating with the likes of Tenor Fly, U Brown, Ward 21, El Fata, YT, Radikal Guru and more.
* This `real instruments’ steppers riddim features Dub Princess on vocals who although a relative newcomer, has already made her mark over the last few years, with a number of collaborations.

Finally we are ready for the big announcement!! MS050 - V/A - Moonshine Recordings 10 Years [Versions & Excursions] will be released in June. For this very special release we have compiled remixes and alternative versions of some of our all time favourite moonshine singles. Across 2x12” vinyl you will find remixes from the ones of Radikal Guru, Von D, Bukkha, RSD, J. Sparrow, Dub Conductor & Numa Crew. You could already hear some of the tracks being played on heavy rotation from dubplates during the last 2-3 years. Don’t sleep!

The polish dub master Radikal Guru is back to Moonshine Recordings with a heavyweight 12" vinyl on a 160bpm tip. This time he joins forces with two very talented MC's - Parly B and Baptiste to deliver yet another future classic. Tell dem fi run!

* Belia Winnewisser is returning to Präsens Editionen with Radikale Akzeptanz. The record is her debut album as a solo artist and it marks her second release on 'the curious label arm of Lucerne's zweikommasieben magazine.'

* Radikale Akzeptanz, a furious amalgamation of (synth-)pop references and more abstract sounds, combines long running traits from Winnewisser's practice in various band projects with rather new interests from her studies in sound art. Thus, bittersweet off-pop-hymns with bubble-y melodies can be found next to austere examinations. Add a good amount of time spent in clubs and you get a Skull Disco-esque banger at the end of this gutsy album.
The title Radikale Akzeptanz—or radical acceptance—stems from a concept in evidence-based psychotherapy. Even more than the concept as such that is about accepting uncompromisingly your situation, however, it is the expression's mere sound that is of interest to Winnewisser. Homey and adventurous, gentle and challenging, at ease with itself and full of tension(s).

We are extremely happy to welcome yet another talented crew from Italy in the Moonshine family. D-Operation Drop is a project born in 2010 thanks to the encounter of 5 university students wich found themselves sharing the same house and more importantly, love for music (In 2013 Zeemo joins the Crew, modifying the formation from 5 to 6 elements). After a couple of early collaborations, almost casual, Uniradio Cesena gives to D-Operation Drop the chance to lay the foundations of an underground music program on air twice a week. Thanks to this experience the group officially finds its frame and looks forward to its new goals such as producing, dj'ing and vj'ing. To date D-Operation Drop, after almost seven years of experience, has received support from Artists like J:Kenzo, Distance, N-Type, Icicle, Radikal Guru & many others. Releasing music with notable labels such as Lion Charge, Artikal Music UK, Subaltern and now Moonshine Recordings.
