veröffentlichen und die zehnmonatige Lücke seit der Veröffentlichung von Beggars Banquet zu füllen. Diese
UK-Only Version enthält den Track ”You Better Move On”, von der 1964 Debut-EP der Stones; sowie
auch ”Sittin’ On a Fence”, vom 1967 kompilierten Flowers-Album. Das Album wurde auf 180g Schwarzem
Vinyl gepresst und ist ab dem 12.07 erhältlich

Continuing the re-issue program on STD Black LP - Rolling Stones No.2 - The second UK Rolling Stones studio album, released in 1965 following the success of their 1964 debut album The Rolling Stones. A huge success in the UK, the album was number one on the charts for 10 weeks and includes the band’s cover of ‘Time Is On My Side’ and ‘Everybody Needs Somebody To Love’. The album also contains three compositions from the still-developing Mick Jagger/Keith Richards songwriting team (‘What A Shame’, ‘Grown Up Wrong’ and ‘Off The Hook’), with all the other songs being covers of American R&B and rock and roll numbers, like the first album. December’s Children (And Everybody’s) US - The fifth American studio album, released in December 1965. The last Stones album in which cover material accounted for 50 percent of the content was compiled from a variety of singles, British LP tracks, outtakes, and a cut from an early 1964 U.K. EP. The album demonstrates the continuing development of Jagger & Richard’s songwriting with a further two pop classics – the string-laden affecting ballad – ‘As Tears Go By’ and ‘Get Off My Cloud’.

In November 2002, the Stones arrived in Los Angeles to perform at a packed Wiltern Theatre, treating fans to a set heavy on rarities which feel right at home in such an intimate setting. While some of the hits are performed, this night at the Wiltern is for the rarely played classics, including “Stray Cat Blues”, “No Expectations” and a cover of “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love” featuring a guest spot by the legendary Solomon Burke, who opened the show that night.

Ein außergewöhnliches musikalisches Dokument zweier Novembernächte im Madison Square Gardens im Jahr 1969 - die rohe Energie von Sympathy For The Devil, Jumpin’ Jack Flash und Honky Tonk Women bestätigt ihren Ruf als größte Live-Attraktion jener Zeit, vielleicht sogar ALLER Zeiten! Lester Bangs, der das Originalalbum in der Novemberausgabe 1970 des Rolling Stone besprach, schrieb: ”Es ist noch zu früh, um es zu sagen, aber ich beginne zu glauben, dass Ya-Ya’s das beste Album sein könnte, das sie je gemacht haben. 1965 bewiesen die Stones mit Out Of Our Heads, dass sie in der Lage waren, klassische Rock-Singles zu schreiben, die ihre R&B- und Blues-Wurzeln aufgriffen, sie aber in einen gitarrenlastigeren, durch und durch zeitgenössischen Kontext stellten. Die amerikanische Version dieser Kollektion hatte ein anderes Coverdesign und eine andere Tracklist, um zwei der großen Stones-Singles zu präsentieren - The Last Time (und die bedrohliche, folkige B-Seite Play With Fire) und das klassische, riff-orientierte Satisfaction - einer der Schlüsselmomente der Rock- und Popgeschichte! I’m All Right (basierend auf einem Riff im Stil von Bo Diddley) zeigt den Sound von 1965 von seiner rauesten Seite, während The Spider And The Fly eine schöne, rollende Version des Blues ist.

Their Satanic Majesties Request - ursprünglich in den legendären Londoner Olympic Studios aufgenommen, produziert von Glyn Johns und mit Streicherarrangements von John Paul Jones - enthält einige ihrer fantasievollsten Klanglandschaften, darunter afrikanische Rhythmen, Mellotron, ”gefundene Stimmen” und volle Orchestrierung. Es ist ein innovatives und experimentelles Stück, das von Coltrane, John Barrys Spionage-Thriller-Soundtracks und klassischen Komponisten ebenso beeinflusst ist wie vom Blues und R’n’B früherer Veröffentlichungen.

18 Jahre hat die Welt darauf gewartet!

The Rolling Stones haben ihr neues Studioalbum „Hackney Diamonds“ für den 20.10.2023 angekündigt. Das Album wird 12 komplett neue Originalsongs enthalten.

Die erste Single heißt „Angry“! Sie erscheint am 8.9.2023 auf Maxi-CD und 10inch mit etched B-Seite.

Sie wurde vom GRAMMY ausgezeichneten Produzenten Andrew Watt (Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, Miley Cyrus) produziert. Begleitet wird „Angry“ von einem Musikvideo, bei dem Francois Rousselet (Nike, Diesel, Pharrell Williams) Regie führte und die Emmy nominierte Schauspielerin Sydney Sweeney (The White Lotus, Euphoria) die Hauptrolle spielt.

In den letzten Jahren haben die Stones immer wieder auf ausverkauften Welttourneen Rekorde gebrochen und 2016 mit ihrem Grammy preisgekrönten Album "Blue & Lonesome" die Albumcharts auf der ganzen Welt angeführt. Letztes Jahr begeisterten sie auf der Sixty-Jubiläumstournee fast eine Viertelmillion Zuschauer in Europa.
