Veröffentlichung ihres neuen Studioalbums ‚Afterlifelines‘ an. Es handelt sich um ein Doppelalbum mit insgesamt 21 Songs, inklusive Intro, Interlude
und Outro. Das Besondere daran: Die zwei Scheiben haben unterschiedliche musikalische Ansätze: „Die erste CD trägt den Titel ‚Afterlife‘ und besteh
aus Songs, die wir als Trio eingespielt haben, während die Songs der zweite CD ‚Lifelines‘ zusätzlich mit klassischen Orchesterarrangements
ausgestattet sind“, erklärt Sänger und Bassist Peavy Wagner. Wagner und seine beiden Bandkollegen Jean Bormann (Gitarre) und Vassilios „Lucky“
Maniatopoulos (Schlagzeug) haben mehr als 94 Minuten neuer Rage-Musik aufgenommen, darunter ein, wie Wagner es nennt, „20-minütiges Grand
Finale.“ Um die Wartezeit bis zum Album-Release zu verkürzen, werden Steamhammer/SPV bereits ab Januar 2024 drei Singles der neuen Scheibe

Hear the soundtrack to British filmmaker Carol Morley’s spellbinding Typist Artist Pirate King by BAFTA nominated composer Carly Paradis.

Carly scores BBC’s Line of Duty and since 2022 plays live keyboards for Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

The atmospheric score beautifully balances witty percussion and angelic voice for a road journey that Audrey Amiss, the typist, artist, pirate king herself, takes in the film, elegantly reflecting her expanded sense of reality and the uncanny delights of her abstract art.

The music features the experimental vocal group SHARDS led by Kieran Brunt, percussion extraordinaire Joby Burgess and Anna Drysdale on other-worldly horn alongside prepared piano and a one-holed flute.

Paying homage to the yellow electric car at the centre of the film, it’s pressed onto transparent yellow vinyl, with art design by Jane Pollard and Iain Forsyth (20,000 Days on Earth) and examples of Audrey’s art on the label and sleeve.

Epischer, gewaltiger Doom mit Anspielungen auf Candlemass, Bolt Thrower, My Dying Bride und Iron Maiden! Die US-Doom-Crew Stygian Crown aus Los Angeles kehrt mit ihrem lang erwarteten zweiten Album 'Funeral For A King' auf dem etablierten Label Cruz Del Sur zurück, einer beeindruckenden LP, die auf der Grundlage von epischem Doom- und Death Metal basiert. Der Nachfolger ihres vielbeachteten Debüts aus dem Jahr 2020 bleibt dabei der weitläufigen Doom-Vorlage der Band treu, die auch Elemente des klassischen Metal und Death Metal enthält, aber driftet gelegentlich auch in traditionelles Metal-Territorium ab. Nach einer stürmischen Headliner-Show beim PowerTrip Festival in Kalifornien kündigten die Metal-Götter Judas Priest am Wochenende auf der Bühne ein brandneues Studioalbum mit dem Titel 'Invincible Shield' an, das am 8. März 2024 über Columbia Records erscheinen wird. Die erste Singleauskopplung "Panic Attack" wird am Freitag, den 13. Oktober veröffentlicht. Judas Priest wird 2024 zudem auf Welttournee gehen. Die Tour beginnt am 11. März in Glasgow und führt die Band am 3. April 2024 in die St. Jakobshalle in Basel. Big Crown Records is proud to present the debut full length offering from Les Imprimés, Rêverie. The stirring and ethereal sounds of Les Imprimés have been making fans of anyone who hears them since their first 7" single hit the speakers. Morten Martens is the man behind the band. Born, raised, and working in Kristiansand, Norway, he keeps a low prole while making his heart felt, highly infectious, and unique music. This album is a long time coming for Martens and it is sure to make him a name to be reckoned with. The first thing you notice listening to Les Imprimés is the high level of musician-ship. Martens plays nearly every instrument on the recordings and handles the production and arranging. He has been making records for decades, winning a Spellemann Award (aka, the Norwegian Grammy) in 2006 for producing a HipHop album as well as getting nominations across three other genres. While awards and accolades speak to the level of his talent, this new album really shows who he is an artist on his own terms. Moving away from being a hired gun on the touring scene naturally led him to start doing more studio work. Slowly collecting gear and getting more experi-ence behind the boards he built his own studio on the island of Odderoya and was making a living playing with and recording other people's music. As the story goes, after those sessions would end he would work on his own project into the wee hours of the night. From these late night sessions, Les Imprimés was born and Rêverie began to take shape. However, "it wasn't until COVID, when things locked down, that I was really able to nd the time to focus on Les Imprimés" Morten says about creating and leading his own solo project. "It was a scary time. But I knew I had to do something with it." He took the sum of his inuences, combined them with his own vibe and got busy writing the music, playing the instruments, and singing the songs. "It's soul music, but I don't exactly have the soul voice," Morten explains humbly. "But I do it my own way, in a way that's mine. "It is his sound, his fingerprint, his sensibility, that makes his music hard to put in a box. The album showcases both Martens' range and his ability to make a cohesive album. The lead single "Falling Away" starts with a raw drum break and turns into a lushly arranged tune that paints the picture of love when it slips away. On "Still Here" he professes his resilience through life's twists and turns over a thundering track that puts a new spin on the B side ballad genre. Songs like "You" and "Our Love" mix tones from 60s and 70s Soul with arrangement nods to Doo Wop records while Martens' lyrics and delivery leave you singing the melodies long after they finish. "Love & Flowers" finds Martens in a moment of clarity with a song that ts the niche sub genre of happy break up tunes, the four on the floor track will move the dancefloor or while the message will resonate with anyone who put too much effort into the wrong situation in their lives. However, it is songs like "Muse" and "Chess" that really encapsulate the uniqueness of Les Imprimés as they push the boundaries of genre, one a profession of love for music and the other a cover of an electronic record respectively. Martens' lyrics, emotion, and delivery truly make the whole thing come together and stand out from any of his peers. There's an infectiousness and a pop sensibility in the writing that is done with the utmost class and taste giving Les Imprimés the rare quality of immediate attraction that only deepens the more you listen.

DJ ROSS and ERIKA present “Who I Wanna Be”, an uptempo song inspired by Eurodance 2000, with both techno trance influences and sounds and an ethereal piano, all crowned by Erika's sweet voice.
This is not a tribute to the past, but a novelty that will make their fans dance again.

DJ Ross and Erika have collaborated on several musical tracks in the past, they have reached the top of the charts not only in Italy, but in many countries around the world and which has led them to perform from Brazil to the United States, in several European countries, from 'Egypt to Russia.

The first was "Relations", then "Save My Heart", "Ditto" and "I Don't Know", among the most representative of the 2000s. Subsequently, in 2015 they also collaborated on the song "I Think About You", published with Warner Music and which reached the official Italian top 50 airplay.

In general, the collaboration between DJ Ross and Erika has always been very positive and gave birth to some of the greatest hits in dance music which are still among the most danced to today together with the HITs of that time.

Big Crown Records is proud to present the debut offering from the newest artist to join the label, the man on trumpet, Dave Guy. Dave is a long time friend, collaborator, and contributor to a boatload of songs on the label and far beyond it.

A member of The Roots, The Dap Kings, and The Budos Band, he has lent his talents to the music of everyone from Amy Winehouse & Lizzo to Lee Fields & Charles Bradley. Now Dave steps to the front of the stage with a debut record that could have only come from a seasoned veteran. Teaming up in the studio with fellow long time collaborators Homer Steinweiss & Nick Movshon, who handle the production as well as play on the recordings, the set of songs on this 7" are telling of what's to come.

Side A, "Footwork" is a Latin inspired tune that gets you up from the intro drum fill and is sure to soundtrack many a dancefloor from Soho to Harlem and far beyond the city that inspired it. Dave's trumpet lines are infectious, something about his playing walks the line of jazz and vocal arrangement. The choruses are moving, the verses are gorgeous, the backing band couldn't be sharper as they push the tune down the tracks making this an instant classic. Side B, "Morning Glory" is drenched in swag. The trumpet line repeats to great effect over the walking beat and the arrangement takes you through all the changes while staying entirely in the groove. It is easy to draw comparisons to 70s soundtrack music a la Marvin Gaye's Trouble Man but Dave's music is clearly contemporary pulling the best influences from the past and pushing them forward.

Limited to 300 Hand-Numbered Copies Pressed on White, Black and Red Splatter Vinyl OT The Real & araabMUZIKís new collaborative album Zombie is now available as a limited edition vinyl release. The 12-track project, released through Black Soprano Family records, was executive produced by Benny The Butcher and features appearances by several Black Soprano Family members. The BSF boss has been a fan of the Philadelphia based rapper since they met while recording “Coke & Guns” (off the album Broken Glass) and when he had the chance to put together a full project with OT and the MVP of the MPC, Benny seized the opportunity, bringing both OT and araabMIUZIK out to the BSF studio in Buffalo to record what would ultimately become “The Crown,” the first single off of Zombie featuring Benny The Butcher & ElCamino. The guest appearances on Zombie were carefully curated, purposefully tapping artists that hadn’t yet collaborated with OT (outside of Benny) and araabMUZIK in order to deliver something new to fans, including 38 Spesh, Conway The Machine, ElCamino, Rome Streetz, LIHTZ and Amir Ali.

Iterum Nata ventures deeper into the abyss with “From the Infinite Light”, melding folk serenity with black metal mysticism. Under Jesse Heikkinen’s (The Abbey, Henget, ex-Hexvessel) craft, each note harbours both hope and despair. With guest apparitions by Matron Thorn and Rob Coffinshaker – plus the arcane lore of Richard Kaczynski – it is a concept album narrating a soul's desperate quest into the recesses of the human psyche. This is Iterum Nata's heaviest, most ambitious odyssey yet.

FFO: Watain, Valkyrja, Ondskapt

Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, die mysteriöse Steel Pan Band aus Hamburg, hat sich weltweit einen Kultstatus erspielt. Mit einer Reihe von klassischen 7" Singles und drei hochgelobten Alben haben sie die Messlatte für sich selbst hoch gelegt, die sie mit diesem neuen Werk noch weiter nach oben schieben wollen. Auf ihrem vierten Album BRSB sind Bacao zurück mit mehr vom Gleichen, aber mehr vom Gleichen ist bei ihnen von Natur aus anders. Sie covern Songs aus verschiedenen Genres, von Megahits bis hin zu Underground-Songs, und machen sie sich mit ihrer einzigartigen Herangehensweise an die traditionellen Steel Pans aus Trinidad und Tobago zu eigen. Während ein Teil des Reizes eines neuen Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band-Albums darin besteht, herauszufinden, welche Songs sie covern, ist es ebenso faszinierend zu sehen, welche originellen Melodien sie ausgeheckt haben – denn dieses Album ist ebenso voller herausragender Originale. Der Opener des Albums, "In The Crosshairs", ist ein rauer und harter Midtempo-Kopfnicker, während "Grilled" und "Treasure Quest" das Tempo mit starken afrikanischen Funk-Einflüssen anziehen. Bacao geht mit "Hazy Memories", einem basslastigen Slowburner, der zwischen Hypnose und Hype wandelt, in die Tiefe. Mit ihrem Covern von Claudja Barrys Disco-Klassiker "Love For The Sake Of Love", die sie in eine synchronisierte Version umwandeln und sogar den Titel in "Love For The Sake Of Dub" ändern, fügen Bacao ihrem Lebenslauf einen weiteren zertifizierten Dance-Floor-Filler hinzu. Aus dem Bereich der zeitgenössischen Smash-Hits covern sie Drakes "Hotline Bling" und "Love$ick" von Mura Masa & A$AP Rocky. Dann gehen sie mit dem "Stranger Things Theme" einen sehr unerwarteten Weg, indem sie den Synthie-lastigen Titelsong der Hit-Show nehmen und ihm einen hypnotischeren Ton geben als dem Original. Wenn BRSB fertig ist, hat die Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band den Hörer auf eine Reise mitgenommen, die eine Vielzahl von Energien, Tempi und Stimmungen umfasst, aber alles unter einem Dach hält.

Die australische Dark Folk & Blackgaze-Szene hat einen neuen Namen: SULDUSK!
Das von Ausnahme-Talent Emily Highfield gegründete, australische Dark Folk/Blackgaze-Projekt SULDUSK machte erstmals 2019 mit dem Debütalbum
Lunar Falls auf sich aufmerksam. Mit diesem „Killer-Debütalbum“ (Folk N Rock) verblüfften SULDUSK nicht nur Hörer/innen und die internationale
Musikpresse, sondern auch das Rock- und Metal-Imperium Napalm Records, das die Band 2023 unter Vertrag nahm.
Am 1. März 2024 veröffentlichen SULDUSK nun ihr zweites Studioalbum mit dem Titel Anthesis und machen dort weiter, wo sie mit ihrem packenden
Debüt aufgehört haben, jedoch musikalisch eine ganze Spur komplexer. Einst als Ein-Frau-Projekt gestartet, rekrutierte Highfield für Anthesis fünf
weitere Musiker, um die Vision eines Akustik-Sounds zu einem intensiven, kraftvollen und harten Album weiterzuführen. Anthesis entführt in eine
düstere, magische Welt, das eine ganze Vielfalt unterschiedlicher, dunkler und extremer Sounds zu einem ganz eigenen Klanguniversum vereint. Laut
Highfield bedeutet Anthesis „Blüte“ und handelt thematisch von Trauer und Akzeptanz. Von den „Mythical Creatures“ über Single-Auskopplungen wie
„Crystalline“ bis hin zum Album-Titeltrack überzeugen SULDUSK auf ganzer Linie durch eine ganz eigene Synthese von Dark Folk-, Blackgaze-,
Post-Rock-, Prog-, Doom- und sogar Black-Metal-Elementen und Emilys Stimme, die zeitweise durch eine sanfte Zerbrechlichkeit beeindruckt.

Kashkaval - Is a cheese originating from the Balkans. When producing this electro track, it all came together quite swiftly, to be honest. I only needed one final element to complete it. Coincidentally, my dad was discussing this cheese at the time, so I recorded him talking about it on my phone and seamlessly integrated it into the track. I applied various effects and kept it subtle in the mix, making it almost unrecognizable in Albanian. The chords fell into place after that.

Constant Sorrow - This song took shape during the pandemic. I had nearly completed the concept, and for some time before that, I had been in conversation with producer and vocalist Keith Caden. I believed his vocal talents would be a perfect fit for this track. I shared the track and its title with him, and he subsequently wrote the vocals, even contributing harmonica and a few other embellishments. I'm particularly fond of this electro-style track, and Keith's vocals truly bring a unique and special dimension to it.

From The Ashes - Electro played a significant role in this album. When I mention electro, it's not the typical style of tracks but rather a more unique approach. The vocals on this album truly infuse profound meaning into the songs, and I have a deep appreciation for the way the chords resonate and create a dynamic bounce in the tracks.

Crown Royal - There's an amusing backstory to the essence of this track. "Crown Royal" harkens back to a liquor we used to enjoy back in the day. We'd have our Crown Royal and pair it with those Black & Mild cigars – quite the combo! This track was born from the memories of those late-night drives back home from the club.

Complete Album + 6 Bonus Tracks. Known as the "King of the Slide Guitar," Elmore James was the most influential slide guitarist of the postwar period. His music went far beyond his premature death in 1963 at the age of forty-five. He was credited with helping to invent blues rock and his style influenced a generation of blues-rock players like Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Duane Allman, and The Rolling Stones. Blues After Hourswas James' debut album, and one of the greatest blues albums of all-time. "Blues After Hours, originally released on LP by Crown in 1960, was Elmore James' first long- playing record. Big Crown Records is proud to present Zero Grace, Liam Bailey's sophomore album on the label. Following the success of 2020's Ekundayo album, the tried and true chemistry of Bailey and producer Leon Michels (El Michels Affair) is on full display again as they take the sound they established and push it further. On Zero Grace they lean more into the bleeding heart singer-songwriter side of Liam. The result, much like Bailey himself, is impulsively honest without reserve. Born and raised in Nottingham, England, the son of an English mother and 2nd generation Jamaican English father, Liam will admit his early childhood was fairly chaotic and filled with "all the cliche racism that happens when people started mixing up in the '80s in England." Liam got his early influences from his mom's record collection. Bob Marley and Dillinger, Stevie Wonder and The Supremes, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix would eventually shape the singer/songwriter we know today. Fast-forward to 2005, Liam is in London performing at every open mic and acoustic night he could, hustling with hopes of landing a record deal. It was through this time that Liam first teamed up with Michels, musician/producer luminary, and the co-founder of Brooklyn's own Big Crown Records. Liam flew out to New York and those first sessions together produced the now classic tunes "When Will They Learn" and "I'm Gonna Miss You" which still gets spins at Reggae spots around the globe and were co-signed by heavy hitters like David Rodigan & Don Letts. That first trip to NYC brought a lot of industry attention to Liam, including being noticed by a just-famous Amy Winehouse who heard one of Liam's apartment-made, lo- recordings, and liked what she heard. Regardless of the audio quality, Liam's particular sound shone through - all guitar, warm-rough and genuine soul. They already had an idea of the Liam they wanted to make, promote, and push With the typical large advance enticement, Liam did his best to trust that path. "Maybe I can make it work,' that's what you're thinking," Liam remembers, "but, you quickly find out that you can't." The debut album of soul singer, Maiiah is also the third full-length by Hamburg collective, Angels of Libra, following on from the success of their collaboration with Irish singer, Nathan Johnston.

Maiiah is a singer with roots in the Balkans but residing in Düsseldorf, the city of the legendary Unique Club and the label of the same name. Soul left its mark on her early on, and when she met Hamburg producer, musician and composer Dennis Rux (Hamburg Spinners/Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Studios) during the pandemic, the two realized they shared a similar musical vision. Their common love of soul music and old rhythm & blues brought them together, and they started recording music together in Hamburg with the Angels of Libra. Lo and behold, their first single together "Obey" got into rotation at tastemaker station Radioeins and confirmed them as a winning team.



Following in the footsteps of many a classic soul tune, second single, "No No No (I'm So Broke)" is a social critique and commentary. In it Maiiah literally wears her heart on her sleeve, as she sings about the back- breaking job she was working at the time and the poor earnings as a hotel service employee.



But naturally life has more to offer than just work and so a large part of the songs on this record revolve around love. Maiiah gives her own spin to the classic "I'm A Good Woman", which the spirited singer has performed live many times. The story goes that the late DJ and Unique Records label owner Henry Storch sent Maiiah the original song by Barbara Lynn to comfort her after a heavy heartbreak. The song thus holds a very important place in Maiiah's heart, and it was released as the third advance single, recorded during her tour with Nathan Johnston at Bekegg Studios in Rastede, Lower Saxony.



With Dennis Rux at her side and the powerful arrangements of the Angels of Libra, Maiiah has found the right partners for her personal debut. On "Kava" & "Plenty of Life", Hamburg's jack-of-all-trades Carsten Meyer aka Erobique is featured as a guest on the keyboards, so here the rhythm section of the Hamburg Spinners comes together again. The love for old soul, rhythm & blues and the analog sound of the sixties is also fully expressed on this album. The longings and deep feelings in Maiiah's lyrics are carefully picked up musically, whether as a classic R&B song as in "Please Come Home" or in boogaloo party mode as in the Croatian-sung "Kava", the fourth single. "Plenty of Life" is a song for self-cheering and a call to open up to the beautiful sides of life despite all adversity. In "I wanna go", on the other hand, Maiiah longs for her Croatian homeland. The crowning finale of the album is the intense "Infinity" about life's phases and the recurring ups and downs as the essence of human existence.



The ingredients of Maiiah and the Angels of Libra's recipe are authentic lyrics, to the point arrangements, tight horns, rousing background vocals and the spirit of the golden age of soul music, as it was shaped by labels like Motown and Stax. Recorded in part with original equipment from the 50s. Producer Dennis Rux says, "We wanted to create a record that people would go dance to at the Komet" (a neighborhood club on St. Pauli in Hamburg, the band's second home). The joint album combines the Hamburg soul of the Angels of Libra with the passion of Maiiah, who can fully live out her temperament on the mic.

They're baaaack_.. While Brainstory is in the studio finishing their sophomore full-length, they treat us to this bombshell of a 7" as a taste of what's to come. They teamed back up with El Michels Affair who is handling production on the whole album and everything about this is leveled up. This show stopping plug & ballad two-sider is clear evidence of that. Night Crowned's beständiges Streben nach musikalischer Exzellenz kennt keine Grenzen, denn sie verschwendeten keine Zeit mit der Veröffentlichung ihres mit Spannung erwarteten Nachfolges "Hädanfärd" am 9. Juli 2021.

Inspiriert von einer Geschichte des Sängers K. Romlin, taucht "Hädanfärd" in Begegnungen mit dem Tod ein weitreichendes Konzept ein, das während des intensiven Demo-Prozesses akribisch entwickelt wurde. Die neun atmosphärischen Tracks des Albums, begleitet von K. Romlins schriftlichen Interpretationen und Erklärungen, bilden einen höllischen und düsteren Monolith, der Night Crowned als eines von Schwedens bestgehüteten schwarzen Death Metal-Geheimnissen festigt.

Am 11. Oktober 2023 erscheint das mit Spannung erwartete dritte Album der Band, erneut über das renommierte Label Noble Demon. Live in Brooklyn was recorded at the iconic Brooklyn Bowl in New York on December 22nd 2022 at Matisyahu’s annual Festival of Light. The release features live versions of his hits such as “One Day” and “King Without A Crown”. As well as cover tracks, written by his son Laivy, that they perform together. The first single, “One Day” will be released on June 2nd. The album will be released on June 30th, which is Matisyahu’s birthday. This show was also recorded visually. We will have individual clips of each track to post to socials ahead of the release. This release also takes place at the end of a 15 stop tour, and one week prior to his opening slot for 311 at Red Rocks.
