Alle Tracks wurden von King Jammy, Romeo 'Shemmo' Facey und John John fachmännisch aufgenommen und abgemischt.

Using a variety of tape stocks, Black Swan creates a haunting atmosphere that evokes the sensation of uncovering long-lost, sacred recordings hidden in time on his ninth album, Ghost.

The New York-based artist reveals that he was inspired by musique concrete and ambient while making the record, which is made up of 20 pieces that all form a continuous suite. Each track varies in length and complexity from short and sweet sketches to more elongated studies and that are made from intense layering and harmonic surges using an array of tape stocks.

The result is a haunting, unearthly atmosphere that sounds perfect in this cassette format.

From Karma Recordings comes their fourth EP. They are continuing their trend of getting their heroes from the 90’s to remix their original sound. Jumpin’ Jack Frost is able to blend modern drum n bass with the original jungle sound of DJ Ande’s original. Flip the vinyl over for an incredible track by DJ KOS entitled The Drifter and a dreamy remix from the very talented Sync Dynamix.

Allt wurde 2020 gegründet und ist eine progressive Metalcore-Band aus Karlskoga, Schweden, die für ihr audiovisuelles Storytelling und ihre innovative Herangehensweise an Metalcore bekannt ist. Nach ihrer zweiten EP "The Seed Of Self-Destruction" aus dem Jahr 2022, die als genreübergreifende Metalcore-Veröffentlichung gefeiert wurde, sind Allt nun dabei, ihren charakteristischen Sound mit ihrem Debütalbum "From The New World" zu festigen. "From The New World" ist eine akribisch ausgearbeitete musikalische Reise der Selbstfindung nach der Zerstörung. Das Album ist inspiriert von den Spannungen und Ängsten in der Welt und erforscht Themen wie Zusammenbruch und Widerstandsfähigkeit in der Folge eines nuklearen Ereignisses und der emotionalen und philosophischen Landschaft, die darauffolgen würde. Um sich voll und ganz auf den kreativen Prozess und die Themen des Albums einzulassen, verbrachte die Band einige Zeit isoliert in einer Waldhütte. Jeder der 10 Tracks von FTNW erzählt eine einzigartige Geschichte von Verlust, Hoffnung und menschlichem Durchhaltevermögen, eingerahmt vom kosmischen Mysterium des Fermi-Paradoxons. Vom ersten Track, "A Flash of Light", bis zum letzten Track, "Cycles", geht es darum, sich durch das Chaos zu bewegen und in einer chaotischen Welt Sinn und menschliche Verbindung zu finden. "Über solche Themen zu schreiben, erlaubt es uns, unsere Gedanken und Gefühle zu verarbeiten, während wir unseren Zuhörern einen Raum bieten, ihre eigenen zu erkunden. Es geht darum, mit unserem Publikum auf einer zutiefst persönlichen und universell relevanten Ebene in Verbindung zu treten". Das Album vermischt mechanische und organische Klänge und beschwört sowohl die Trostlosigkeit als auch die stille Schönheit des Lebens inmitten der Nachwehen. Der Sound ist eine Mischung aus raumgreifenden Synthesizern, die alles von den unheimlichen Qualitäten von Radiowellen bis hin zu riesigen Maschinen mit immenser Rechenleistung nachahmen. Die dynamische Instrumentierung, der kraftvolle Gesang und die organischen Elemente verankern die Musik zusätzlich in einer greifbaren Realität. The wait is over, Return To The 37th Chamber is El Michels Affair's highly anticipated follow up to 2009's underground cult classic Enter the 37th Chamber. Churning out classic records since then for the likes of Lee Fields, The Arcs, The Shacks, and tons more, it is clear that EMA's signature sound is stronger & sharper than ever. This time, in addition to re-interpreting the Wu compositions for a live band, EMA pays homage to the production and sonic fog that makes a RZA beat so recognizable. Producer and bandleader Leon Michels recorded the album completely analog, sometimes hitting 6 generations of tape before it was ready for mixing, giving the Return to The 37th Chamber it's own hazy sound. Adding to the unique fidelity, the record is laced with psychedelic flourishes, John Carpenter' synths, heavy metal guitars, triumpha0nt horns, and traditional Chinese instruments that make up for the lack of the Wu's superlative vocals. From start to finish it's a dark trip that walks the line between RZA's timeless hip-hop aesthetic and the cinematic soul EMA has become known for. El Michels Affair tackles some classics like 4th Chamber and Wu Tang Aint Nuthin to Fuck Wit, as well as some deeper cuts like Ol Dirty Bastard's Snakes, Raekwon's Verbal Intercourse, and Shaolin Brew, Wu-Tang's contribution to the St. Ide's Hip Hop endorsement campaign from 1994. This time El Michels brings some of the Big Crown family along for the ride. Lee Fields handles vocal duties on Snakes and is joined by Shannon Wise of The Shacks for their version of Tearz, which pays as much homage to the Wendy Rene sample as it does to the Wu-Tang Clan. Lady Wray makes an appearance on the cover of Method Man's hit, All I Need, lending her vocal prowess to what gave the Wu one of their biggest hits of all time. Interspersed throughout the record are some original interludes that are like the rug that ties the room together,' giving Return To The 37th Chamber a cinematic narrative that makes it a proper El Michels Affair record and not just a collection of covers. From the music to the presentation, this album is a perfect example of what can only be achieved through diversity. The end result is as much a kaleidoscope of influences and multiculturalism as the city it was recorded in. El Michels Affair is once again, sounding out the city' that raised them, pulling elements of art and culture from across the country and around the globe to create an album truly unique in it's own right.

Whether for the stereo or the sound system, the LP moves from the upfront bounce of ''The Apocalypse is Now'' and ''Raymond Tuesday's Big Day Out'' to the shimmering reverb of ''Starry Night'' and the birdsong-infused ''Ringfort.'' Listeners will find themselves in familiar Automatic Tasty terrain, rich with psychedelic exploration. According to Jonny, ''What to say about this record? I don't really know and it hardly matters. I wrote them on different bits of gear; ye olde faithful Roland SH101, my MC202 (pencil and paper de rigeur), a battered x0xb0x 1.0 (thx Daniel!), a beloved Yamaha Cs-5, a similarly beloved Roland SH5, a truly hammered Juno106, a Roland JX3P, a Nord something or other, an MPC2500, my TR606, and a Vermona DRM1 MKII being sequenced via a bedraggled TR626. Also Jay's TR808 is on there (thx Jay!) and a TR8 being squashed through a Mutronics Mutator (wheee Damo!) and a Zoom H4n recorder. I edited them on a dilapidated laptop, with no headphones or monitors, steering by the tiny speakers on the computer and playing them in my car, twiddling the mix as I went. Flip it over to showcase DJ Ande’s seventies revival with Six Million Dollard and DJ Terraces Slippin’ Time which skillfully blends hardcore and jungle seemlessly together.

WORLD“ kehrt die britische Pop-/Rock-/Wave-/Gothic-Band zu einem Sound zurück, mit dem viele Fans
sie kennenlernten. Daher wird dieses Album insbesondere für Fans der ersten Stunden ein wahres Highlight.

Die Rückkehr der Winston Brothers nach der Veröffentlichung ihres Debütalbums ,Drift" (2022)! Zwei neue Songs, gepresst auf eine perfekte 45rpm 7" Single. Die A-Seite, ,Straight Shooter", ist nichts anderes als das und wurde komplett analog mit einem Fostex 8 Track aufgenommen. Eine rollende Funk-Eskapade, mit Gitarren, Bläsern und Drum-Breaks. Die Energie ist hoch, kantig und von der Rolle. Die B-Seite, ,Island Travel", ist eine dramatische und kinematische Flucht. Dieser chillige Afro-Beat-Jam lässt den Kopf zum hypnotischen Groove mitwippen. Durchdrungen von Elementen des Ethno-Funk und Spiritual Jazz enthält "Island Travel" ein verträumtes Flötensolo von Kimo Eiserbeck und bietet den perfekten Kontrast zu "Straight Shooter".

The Tunnel EP features 3 cuts of late night club techno. The A side is dancefloor tested at Pittsburgh’s Hot Mass, with a driving bassline, a twisted lead that morphs throughout, and a melodic breakdown that brings some release before the track descends deeper. The “Dark” version drapes the bassline in distortion and locks in a percussive groove with sharp chord hits and claps to work the floor. The “Light” mix ends things with a steady chord groove and lush strings for a bit of brightness.

Though allegedly a Texas native, Milton Davis first recorded in Los Angeles in 1967 as a member of The Four Tempos. When that act split, he trekked up the coast in stages, eventually settling in Portland. Here he secured the lead vocal role for local scene heroes, Slickaphonic. Though a full album of their own was taped, another reel of material was cut centred on Milton as a solo artist. Neither set of tracks saw release in their day, but from the latter collection we've pulled a bona fide 1977 disco-soul smasher and a mid tempo flipside with a sheen that belies its depth. First time ever on 7" 45, dinked centre hole with picture sleeve, 500 numbered copies only.

Northern Front Records 7th vinyl release by Response & Pliskin is a somewhat oppressive sounding record with a dark atmospheric presence running throughout the tracks. The full artwork sleeve by Mark McGuinness compliments the sound of the record and it’s title given it’s bleak look.
