Das neue Album von HENGE aus Manchester liefert einen Sound, der einen Raum irgendwo zwischen Rave und Prog-Rock einnimmt, von dem niemand wusste, dass er existiert - mit Robotergesang, donnernden Trommeln, Hyperdrive-Bass, roher Gitarre und schwebenden Synths, die sich zu einem euphorischen Soundtrack für einen Weltraumstart vereinen. Während die 2CD im ausgefallenen Gatefold die Tracklist mit zwei verschiedenen Enden präsentiert, lässt sich die B-Seite des limitierten Ecomix-Vinyls auf zwei unterschiedlichen Rillen abspielen, die die beiden unterschiedlichen Enden enthalten. Ausserplanetarisch!

Prolapse wurden Anfang der 90er Jahre in Leicester gegründet, heute sind die Bandmitglieder über ganz Großbritannien und Skandinavien verstreut. Das fünfte Prolapse-Album "I Wonder When They"re Going to Destroy Your Face" erscheint bei Tapete Records und stellt die ersten neuen Aufnahmen der Band seit ihrem letzten Album "Ghosts of Dead Aeroplanes" dar, das vor 26 Jahren veröffentlicht wurde. In mancher Hinsicht aber fühlt es sich an, als hätte es überhaupt keine Zäsur gegeben. Im Jahre 2018 entschlossen sich im schottischen Edinburgh, fünf Death Metal Lunatics, die Fahne des britischen Bulldozer Death Metal nach den Vorbild der zu Grabe getragenen BOLT THROWER, weiterhin hoch zu halten und gründeten DEATH KOMMANDER. Es folgte eine 4-Song EP (2018) und das Debüt Album "Pro Patria Mori" im Jahre 2021. Aufgrund der Pandemie-bedingten Beschränkungen war es beschwerlich, das Album auch live zu promoten, weshalb man sich auf das Schreiben neuer Songs konzentrierte.

Each artist will release a recycled cassette and digital format. We plan to release one cassette each month from November through June, aligning our releases with the ideal growing period. Each physical release will precede its digital counterpart by a few months, allowing the music to be experienced in its intended form first, with the tangible connection of a cassette and seeds before becoming accessible to a broader audience in the online sphere. This staggered release allows listeners to engage with the music more profoundly and intentionally, akin to the patience and care required in gardening. In the Northern European culture these ideas are encapsulated in the term wyrd, as opposed to notions of free will and self-determination. The main theme is expanded and explored across the album's ten tracks following a narrative thread which unites some of the most fascinating female figures of classical mythology, European folklore, and history-from the Norse Norns to Macbeth's witches serving Hecate, from the Greco-Roman Furies to the fearsome Thessalian necromancers. As with Crawling Chaos' previous works, WYRD is full of literary quotes and easter eggs, offering subtle nods to the most curious among the listeners. Musically speaking, the album is uncompromising, heavy, and very dark.

It's been 35 years since the first release of the iconic track Risin' To The Top', yet the track sounds as timeless as ever. Now Keni is about to embark on a '35th Anniversary Tour' in the UK and will include this song, which has now been sampled by over 80 artists. These include Mary J. Blige, L.L. Cool J, Doug E. Fresh, 50 Cent, and KRS-One. This 7' version is also now extremely rare, original copies exchanging hands at vast sums. Hang Tight' also comes from the 1982 Changing' album, another classic which will be performed as part of the upcoming tour and was the original B-side to the first UK issue of Risin' To The Top'

Pharoah “Farrell” Sanders was a leading figure in the world of jazz and his tenor saxophone playing earned him a legendary status among jazz circles.

This 2LP compilation Welcome To Love features the master saxophonist playing straight-up jazz ballads and includes the bonus track “Moonlight In Vermont”. Sanders is accompanied by William Henderson on piano, Stafford James on bass and Eccleston W. Wainwright on drums.

Welcome To Love is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on yellow coloured vinyl.

The rediscovery of Terry Callier is of the high points of in the history of Acid Jazz Records, who present the reissue of the 7” version of the song that started it all - ‘I Don’t Want To See Myself (Without You)’. A true classic of the modern soul scene.

‘I Don’t Want To See Myself…’ was the final release from Callier, whose career encompassed recording for Prestige, Chess’s Cadet label and Elektra, before this one- off single on the independent Erect label.

Despite the record fetching huge sums by the 1990s, his career had been largely unexplored, until Acid Jazz founder Eddie Piller decided to track him down. After several attempts, Eddie finally found him working as a computer programmer, and in July 1990 Acid Jazz reissued the single.

Over the next decade Terry resumed his recording and performing career, releasing new music, and was finally recognised for his brilliance as an artist. In 2006 Eddie found himself once more in conversation with Terry and they agreed on releasing a 7-inch version of the single, with an edit created by Andy Lewis.

This single is long since deleted, and now sells for upwards of £30, so with the full co-operation of his daughter Sundiata and licensed from Terry Callier Music, it is set for reissue in March 2025, backed with ‘If I Could Make You’.

Canadian disco-soul outfit The Spandettes were in sparkling form when they laid down their stunning covers of Lemuria's Hawaiian groove classics 'All I've Got to Give' and 'Hunk of Heaven.' Both now appear on this limited-edition double 7", which will bring some summer heat to any set you play. Fronted by three powerhouse female vocalists, the cultured band blends lush harmonies with irresistible rhythms as they revive a couple of free-soul gems for a new generation of ears. 'All I've Got to Give' first appeared on a sold-out P-Vine 7" back in 2015 and is a sentimental swooner that is super loved up, while 'Hunk of Heaven', taken from the debut album Spandex Effect, here makes its debut on 45rpm. It's a more upbeat and swooning funk gem with gorgeous vocals.

New label alert: Tuff Funk makes its debut here with, indeed, a tough funk workout built on raw and ragged breaks from a pair of well-schooled artists. Mighty Delrokz kicks off with blazing horns lighting up the rhythms of 'Renegade', which is a devastating tool. 'Scratch Loop' is a twisted mix of vocals drawn out for DJ deployment, and on the flip Netwerk comes through first of all with 'Mustard Break,' which has a rousing sense of power with mumble rap bars, live drums and a new school vibe. His seance is 'Doechi Break', another crucial tool with soulful vocals and yet more big breaks.
