DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to present WHIRLWIND’s highly anticipated second album, 1640, on CD and vinyl LP formats. WHIRLWIND was originally conceived as a studio-project by Mark Wild, from Körgull The Exterminator among other extreme metal bands, to satisfy his will to make a classic heavy metal album, a style that changed his life during his childhood – influenced mostly by ‘80s German metal bands like early Running Wild, early Helloween, Accept, Heaven’s Gate, Gravestone, Tyrant, Grave Digger, Steeler, and Stormwitch among others, but also all kinds of classic heavy metal like Mercyful Fate, Manowar, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest. In 2022, WHIRLWIND released their debut album, 1714, marking the band’s beginning. WHIRLWIND also established a live lineup to bring their songs to life onstage, with musicians from other known bands, like Redshark, joining as permanent members of the band. The album immediately generated a big buzz in the underground scene and led them to perform at some of the best-known festivals in Spain like Pounding Metal Fest and Skulls of Metal, alongside such bands as Visigoth, Attic, Omen, Tentation, Mindless Sinner, Witchtower, IRON CURTAIN, and Phantom Spell. Now arrives WHIRLWIND’s second album, 1640. Like its predecessor, the album is focused on historical and epic episodes of their homeland; specifically, this album revolves around the Thirty Years War that took place around Europe and the inner conflicts within Spain.

Musically, WHIRLWIND deliver a masterclass in cruising, classy Teutonic metal, running from more traditional-minded mid-tempo stompers to surging, up-tempo gallops of glory. Riff and lead form a lethal tandem, balancing both energy and color, while the rhythm section stays locked in no matter the dynamic. The production, too, of 1640 honors the mid ‘80s with authenticity – underground in spirit, Big League in execution. All told, the album is true heavy metal for true heavy metal people: no more, but definitely no less. By the blood in their veins, WHIRLWIND are marching to victory, ready to explode!

Als Global Kryner 2004 die erste CD präsentierte, stand die Musikwelt Kopf. Es war Liebe auf den ersten
Blick. Die Idee war genauso einfach wie genial: man nehme den legendären Oberkrainer-Sound eines Slavko
Avsenik, verschmelze ihn mit Welthits, nehme eine Prise Jazz und jede Menge Spielwitz dazu und fertig
ist die Rezeptur. Die Süddeutsche Zeitung machte Luftsprünge und fabulierte gar von einer „eierlegenden
Wollmilchsau“ in Sachen Musik. Und mit „verkrynern“ war obendrein ein neues Zeitwort geschaffen. Was
folgte war ein Ritt durch alle Radio- und TV-Formate, wie er selten gesehen wurde. Hunderte Konzerte in
Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Benelux, Frankreich, Italien, Slowenien, Kroatien, Serbien, Ukraine bis
nach Mexiko. Nach heißen und durchaus fordernden Jahren des Tourlebens verabschiedete sich die Band
2013 von der Bühne.
Doch die Liebe ist nie erloschen. Im Gegenteil. Jetzt kommt: Global Kryner „2nd Love“! Bereits
im Sommer 2024 beschlossen die Global Kryner rund um Musikkabarettisten und Klarinettisten Christof
Spörk und Oberkrainer-Akkordeon-Urgestein Anton Sauprügl, neu durchzustarten. Posaunist und NeoFischzüchter Martin Temmel musste nicht zweimal gefragt werden. Markus Pechmann, mittlerweile einer
der gefragtesten Jazztrompeter des Landes, engagierte mit Sängerin Miriam Kulmer ein veritables Stimmwunder. Neu zur Band gesellte sich außerdem „Mister Groove“, Jazzgitarrist und Liedermacher Andreas
Haidecker. Aber Obacht: es wird kein Abnudeln alter Hits geben. Die Band bereitet sich in akribischer Kleinarbeit auf ihr Comeback vor. Neue typische „Verkrynerungen“ müssen dabei sein, ja, natürlich!
Aber diesmal gibt es eben auch eigens komponierte Songs zu hören. Man darf gespannt sein. Alles mit
viel Liebe zubereitet, nur eben nicht zum ersten Mal, sondern quasi „2nd Love“!

Lo Recordings is proud to present a brand new compilation by Russian electronic producer/composer OID, spanning 25 years of music that blends in and out of focus, inhabiting styles from dub techno to ambient, vaporwave, space gamelan, electronica and beyond. The album is both a retrospective and a celebration, a journey into a singular world that exists only in OID’s imagination, available digitally and on Ltd cassette from 24th April 2026.

“I first met OID in an illicit ‘Sky High’ bar in Moscow. It was a club for people who liked to jump from high buildings. OID played the piano whilst a tea ceremony took place. It was all like some kind of strange dream. The music he creates sounds like that kind of dream. Some of the tracks are reminiscent of the music released by ALEXANDROID on the ‘False Starts’ album way back in 2003 - a legendary album, in our minds at least. Alex tragically passed away in 2009, leaving only OID.

Buster Williams is a man with a strong sense of purpose and a very clear sense of his musical direction. He is also a musician of prodigious gifts - which is implicit in the fact that his years of professional bass playing have included work with Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, Art Blakey, Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Betty Carter, Freddie Hubbard, Herbie Hancock, Chet Baker, Woody Shaw and McCoy Tyner. He is unquestionably one of the giants of the double bass, and his status is a product not only of his natural aptitude, but also of his natural attitude - because Buster Williams is a man who believes in setting himself the highest creative goals. Williams composed five of the seven pieces and wrote all the arrangements. To bring the music to life he had the services of some most distinguished associates. It would be redundant to recite the credentials of Herbie Hancock , Wayne Shorter and Al Foster. This is a most refreshing and exhilarating album to which Buster Williams has brought a high level of creativity and total integrity.

Formed by vocalist and guitarist Andy Yorke, bassist Jason Moulster and drummer Nigel Powell, the band crafted an album that stood apart from the late-Britpop rush with a sound that was intimate, melodic and emotionally direct.Songs such as "Solved," "Higher Than Reason" and "Angel" showcase Yorke's plaintive vocal delivery and the band's gift for dynamic build-ups, moving from hushed reflection to soaring climaxes without losing their understated core. Critically noted for its cohesion and lyrical sincerity, Almost Here established Unbelievable Truth as a thoughtful counterpoint to the era's louder guitar bands. Joe Fujinoki centered the compositions of his latest album Glass Torso round the idea of the fragility of the human body. Fujinoki described the narrative thread of the album as that of “holding the shape of a human body as if it might shatter like glass”. The precariousness of the body, the essence of the body as defined by Fujinoki as the torso, and the object relations between the boundaries of dialectical exercises pack themselves into his creative process.

Fujinoki recorded Glass Torso exclusively with analog synthesizers, stumbling in and out of structural loops to find space for accidental discoveries. The ten pieces of recorded material feel somewhere on the edge of typified form, feeling like a vascular system pumping in and out its undulating liquidities. Maybe this is the hollowed space held together by Fujinoki’s notion of the torso where you hear a microscopic world, dubby and generative. Fujinoki is adept at organizing this realm of subtle sound sources, giving proper considerations of shared tonal space. Seemingly, this handling of the precarity of sonic material elucidates Fujinoki’s mature attention to detail.

Ambient music genre tropes often affirm the listeners vessel for escape and dissociation. It provides an intoxicating allure by respite from an overwhelming exterior reality far outside the listeners controls. Here this space becomes apolitical, or its protest vocabulary softer and subtle. Fujinoki does not aim to tackle hyperobject topics on how to course correct the world, but he does something increasingly rarer to come across. On Glass Torso an alternative space is created not as shelter, but as a meditation on negotiation and compromise. This twenty eight minutes of audio lays down a foundation for imagination, for imagining how to negotiate the fragility of the self. Zoomed out, the implications of his negotiative sonics can be a playground for broader reflections on distributive care and attention.

Fujinoki says he feels “alert” to his physicality and placement in the world amidst vast digital cultures creating impositions on him and his surroundings. On Glass Torso he creates a concretized space on a vinyl record, where the virtual and the tangible antagonize one another that create the spectacle of the listening experience. This spectacle is a soft one, a considered one, and an utmost enjoyable one. Fujinoki juggles opposing forces brilliantly, and formulates an exquisite palette of soft passing music so he can also help the listener with the exquisite burden of their own Glass Torso.”

El Pulso del Acero: Shinkansen is Esplendor Geométrico's electrifying new album, blending trance-inducing industrial rhythms with bold voice and noise collages. Featuring 16 tracks, it revisits the raw power of their 80s classics while exploring futuristic industrial sounds, with recordings from Tokyo (2025) and a rare previously limited tracks now on vinyl for the first time. After over 40 years of continuous innovation, the influential Spanish duo continues to shape industrial, techno, and experimental noise music worldwide. Available on double vinyl and CD digipack. The raw power of their early work is also present here in some brilliant reconstructions of 80s tracks turning out very different from the originals (Rotorama, Trybuna V, Shinkansen, Héroe del Trabajo 2025, or Introspectivo). Songs such as Auto Reverse will be especially appreciated by the most avid fans of EG's early sound. Other tunes of futuristic industrial music closer to their previous album, Strepitus Rhythmicus, are also included (Experiencia AV, Isla, Por un Perro_) Ten tracks were recorded in 2025 in Tokyo, where Arturo Lanz (founding member of E.G.) currently resides. The other six were released, only on CD,in an ultra-limited edition shared with the group De Fabriek in 2023, long sold out, now finally on vinyl for the first time. Born in 1980 as a trio, and currently a duo formed by Arturo Lanz (founding member) and Saverio Evangelista (member since 1991), Esplendor Geométrico is an influential and international electronic cult band and also a rare case in the Spanish music scene, as they have developed their own independent path aside from tags, fashion or trends, in spite of being often classified as industrial music. Their career for more than four decades hasn't had interruptions. They haven't stopped composing, releasing albums or playing live.Their influence has marked many later artists, usually classified in the so-called industrial music or rhythm & noise, as well as artists from current techno and certain types of experimental noise music.

Evighet proudly unveils its fifth release, EVIGHET005, featuring the Sky City EP by Dave N.A., the prolific producer from Yerevan known for his refined sound design and emotionally resonant compositions. With a catalog that spans labels such as Typeless Records and Uppers & Downers, his work continues to bridge precision and sensitivity, exploring the borders between rhythmic architecture and ambient introspection. On Sky City EP, Dave N.A. constructs an intricate sonic landscape where lush atmospheres coexist with fractured breaks and IDM-inspired rhythms. Rooted in the traditions of Jungle and Breakbeat yet unbound by genre, each piece reveals a narrative built from texture, movement and space. His music invites reflection while maintaining a dynamic forward energy, evoking the sense of motion through memory and dreamlike transitions. A central moment in the release is “Bloom”, which features a collaboration with Hayk Karoyi on flute. His performance adds an organic depth and melodic fluidity, weaving through electronic layers with warmth and clarity. The result is a delicate interplay between human breath and machine pulse, blurring the boundary between the natural and the synthetic. Sky City EP marks a new chapter for Evighet, reaffirming the label’s dedication to sound as a medium of exploration and storytelling. Through this release, Dave N.A. captures both emotional immediacy and compositional detail, expanding the label’s evolving narrative with a vision that feels deeply personal yet universally resonant.

MM/KM is German producers Kassem Mosse and Mix Mup who make experimental house and techno fusions that are frayed and rough, lo-fi but high class. It has been quite some time since we heard from the pair so this release on Chicago's Kimochi Sound is a real treat. 'Ford Sierra In Dub' is a flickering late-night dub with loosely outlined rhythms and melancholic sine waves tumbling through the mix. 'Gedanken' is a lone, rugged synth that sounds lost and curious, then 'Velours is perfectly weighted, well swung dub minimalism for heady backrooms. 'Delphinpanik' pairs jazzy cymbals and scattered synth daubs to make for a sparse ambient sound. Typically unique from this duo.

Amore Libero – Free Love marks the first film score composed by Fabio Frizzi, written in 1974 for the movie of the same name directed by Pier Ludovico Pavoni. Set against the exotic backdrop of the Seychelles, the film tells the story of Simo, a free-spirited young woman played by Laura Gemser in her cinematic debut, blending sensuality and the spirit of liberation so typical of the 1970s.

Frizzi’s score perfectly captures the film’s atmosphere, weaving together evocative melodies, funky grooves, and progressive textures — an elegant, psychedelic soundscape that reflects both the tropical setting and the film’s themes of freedom and desire. The recording features the Goblin in their classic line-up: Fabio Pignatelli (bass), Massimo Morante (guitar), Walter Martino (drums), and Claudio Simonetti (keyboards), with Vince Tempera handling arrangements and orchestral direction.

Long regarded as a true holy grail for collectors, now, for the first time ever, it is officially reissued on vinyl, bringing back to light a fundamental chapter in Italian film music and progressive sound. A magus is a wizard…a sorcerer. Magus, the band, is certainly interested in such things (who isn’t), but the name is especially apt due to the band’s approach to alchemy, the blending of rock, gothic, proto metal, and psychedelic styles to create a sound that is, ultimately, unique. Part of that uniqueness comes from the instrumentation. While guitar is often a dominant instrument of the rock oeuvre, the Fender Rhodes generally plays a supportive role. Not so here, where Jessica Weeks’ deft use of the keyboard dovetails with Greg Weeks’ more standard six-string approach. Not standard is the band’s sound. Doomy yet inspirational, dour yet vibrant, the duo’s tunes map sinister realms whose subjects span metaphysical creatures to enigmatic portals. You know, the typical stuff that rubs elbows with a magus.

Formed in late 2024, Magus sprung from a desire by both artists to experiment with darker, heavier sounds. Long enamored of artists like Flower Travelling Band,, Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple, the duo delved deeply into trance like riffs and euphoric solos to create the backbone of what has become their debut album, Music for Mandrax. This thirteenth Language of Stone offering features grounded, metronomic grooves, organic, lugubrious synth lines, and tandem vocals (supplied by both Weekses) that, in total, weave a heavy, trancelike spell sure to entice fans of bands as disparate as Sabbath is to Pink Floyd. Recorded at Weeks’ Hexham Head studio (to analog tape, of course), the band enlisted long-time counterparts Jesse Sparhawk (bass) and Ben McConnell (drums) to round out their sound and lock down the grooves that propel the album.

Mixed by Brian McTear and Amy Morrisey at Miner Street in Philadelphia, the band’s fully realized vision came to fruition, which left only the album art to contemplate. The band, wishing to further the gothic aesthetic of their sound, enlisted fashion designer and artist extraordinaire Hogan McLaughlin (Game of Thrones) to create the starkly beautiful line drawings of the front and back covers. The duo travelled to Salem, MA to complete the package with Courtney Brooke Hall, who shot the moody and evocative photographs that grace the gatefold release’s inner panels.

Stell dir vor, die atomaren Songs dieses Trios hätten aus den Plattenläden und Autoradios in ganz Boston, an der gesamten Ostküste und in ganz Amerika gedröhnt. Johnny Angels Beschreibung von La Peste als ,Black Sabbath meets Wire" trifft jetzt voll ins Schwarze: große, fette, dreckige Riffs zu einem umwerfenden Beat. Mit "Alles und Nichts" veröffentlichen Eckstein am 17. April ihre erste EP - eine Sammlung, die das bisherige Schaffen des Wiener Duos bündelt und zugleich neue Kapitel aufschlägt. Die EP vereint die vier bereits erschienenen Singles "Einbruch","Reigen", "Ein Ganzes Leben" und "Zinnober" sowie die bisher unveröffentlichten Songs "Tyrann" und"Kirchenglocken". Ergänzt wird das Werk durch eine intime Akustik-Live-Session des Stücks "Hund". "Alles und Nichts" zeigt Eckstein in ihrer ganzen Spannweite: existenzielle Dringlichkeit, zarte Melancholie, eruptive Emotionalität. Sänger Hagen Eckstein verbindet poetische Bildsprache mit einer Stimme, die zwischen Verletzlichkeit und Wucht changiert. Multiinstrumentalist Jannik Rieß erschafft detailreiche Klangräume, die organisch, atmosphärisch und zugleich präzise komponiert sind. Eckstein stehen für eine spezielle Form deutschsprachiger Musik, die Ambiguität nicht auflöst, sondern zelebriert. Shrunken Elvis ist ein Trio aus Nashville, bestehend aus Spencer Cullum, Sean Thompson und Rich Ruth - drei erfahrenen Musikern, die ihre Liebe zu genreübergreifender Instrumentalmusik verbindet. Die Gruppe entstand aus langen Autofahrten durch Europa, Winter-Jam-Sessions und dem gemeinsamen Bestreben, Musik eher aus dem Bauch heraus als aus Ambitionen heraus zu machen. Cullum, ein in East London geborener Pedal-Steel-Gitarrist, spielte bereits mit Angel Olsen, Lambchop, Miranda Lambert und Billy Strings gespielt und zwei Solo-Folk-Psych-LPs bei Full Time Hobby veröffentlicht. Thompson kam mit Gnarwhal und Promised Land Sound in der DIY-Szene von Nashville groß heraus und tourte später mit Margo Price und Skyway Man. Ruth schafft unter dem Namen Rich Ruth (Third Man Records) immersive Soloarbeiten, die spirituellen Jazz, Ambient und Post-Rock miteinander verbinden. Ihre Anfänge gehen auf eine Europatournee im Jahr 2022 zurück, die sie im Rahmen von Cullums Soloalbum unternahmen. Mit einem kompakten Setup aus Gitarren, Pedal Steel und Synthesizern in einem VW Passat zusammengepfercht, begannen sie unterwegs zu komponieren - und entwickelten eine gemeinsame musikalische Sprache, die sie in ihre Wintersessions in Nashville mitnahmen. Sie nahmen in einem Studio in einem Schuppen um einen Heizstrahler herum auf und fingen den Geist dieser Reisen mit Spontaneität und Vertrauen ein. Ihr Debütalbum zielt nicht darauf ab, individuelle Fähigkeiten in den Vordergrund zu stellen, sondern die Instrumente zu etwas völlig Neuem verschmelzen zu lassen. Mit der Einstellung ,keine Ziele, nur Ideen" schufen sie Musik, die sich ungezwungen, explorativ und lebendig anfühlt. 1991 erschien das bereits 1989 aufgenommene Debütalbum der Lokalmatadore aus Mülheim an der Ruhr mit fünfzehn Titeln. Die CD-Version und die Vinylversionen sind seit Jahren vergriffen. Die Gesamtauflage beider Formate hat die 10.000 überschritten. Da immer wieder nach Vinyl gefragt wurde, gibt es nun endlich wieder eine LP-Version. Der Bandschriftzug auf dem Cover-Artwork hat eine andere Farbe als bei früheren Veröffentlichungen. Nach einigen musikalischen Experimenten während der 80er Jahre hatten die Lokalmatadore 1989 ihren Sound gefunden und fast schon perfektioniert: Erdiger Punkrock britischer Prägung mit gelegentlichen 60s-Einflüssen und Texte aus dem prallen Lokalmatadore-Ruhrgebietsalltag. Gleich der erste Streich wurde ein Meisterwerk niveauvollsten Prolltums und Basis für die Erfolge der Lokalmatadore bis heute. Das Debütalbum, aufgenommen 1989, veröffentlicht 1991. Das Slade nachempfundene Cover ist schon mal ein Hingucker, die Musik bestens produzierter Punkrock alter englischer Prägung, die Texte schon typisch eigener Lokalmatadore-Stil. Als Debüt direkt ein Meisterwerk niveauvollsten Prolltums!

Pariah’s cult debut re-issued! “The Kindred” brings you pure old school Thrash Metal fury! Satan changed their name to Pariah in 1988-1989. Satan’s evolution for the time being came to an end here with this band, Pariah, in 1988. What Satan were going for with “Suspended Sentence”, could definitely be seen as a hint to the direction they would take as Pariah. That raspy, ill-tempered, aggressive Michael Jackson (indeed) is still here on vocals and these guys really wanted to tear things apart with this album. The main lineup here is entirely the same from Satan and Blind Fury (vocalists aside).

Simply put, one could easily say they took “Suspended Sentence”’s interesting idea of “NWOBHM meets Thrash Metal” and basically focused on being even more aggressive this time. We might be throwing out the obvious here again, but if you are new to Pariah or perhaps Satan, familiarize yourself with the fact that guitarists Russ Tippins and Steve Ramsey are truly an insane duo. For the most part with “The Kindred” their guitar work is pretty thrashy and extremely melodic. Then out of nowhere those classic NWOBHM solo’s, dual harmonies, and majestic melodies come into play all over the place and they manage to make it work incredibly well in between the thrashy antics. The production and mix seems to be an improvement over “Suspended Sentence” and here the guitars tend to have more of a sharper edge, Jackson’s vocals are constantly in the clear and never overpowered by anything else, and overall there is a tougher vibe surrounding this.

Everything here is pretty damn heavy. While Tippins and Ramsey are really out there in a realm of their own, there’s great performances again by Graeme English on bass and Sean Taylor on drums. Overall you’ve got a whole package of virtuous musicians here that really mastered the beauty of balance. All in all “The Kindred” goes all the way with every track being fast and aggressive. Satan and Pariah are all typically made up of the same core members and definitely created some timeless and unique Heavy Metal.
