Die mehrfache Grammy-Award Gewinnerin Taylor Swift veröffentlicht „Speak Now“ (Taylor’s Version) eine Wiederveröffentlichung des von ihr 2010 veröffentlichten Albums „Speak Now“. Das Album, welches alleinig von der Sängerin geschrieben wurde, zeichnet sich durch brutale Ehrlichkeit und tagebuchartige Bekenntnisse aus. „Speak Now“ (Taylor’s Version) markiert die dritte Wiederveröffentlichung ihrer ersten sechs Studioalben. Zuvor veröffentlichte Taylor Swift „Fearless“ (Taylor’s Version) & „Red“ (Taylor’s Version).
Ihr letztes Studioalbum „Midnights“ erreichte sogar Platz 1 der deutschen Charts. „Speak Now“ (Taylor’s Version) enthält zusätzlich zu den bereits 2010 veröffentlichten 16 Songs noch 6 Titel ( From t he Vault), auf welchen unter anderem die Band Fall Out Boy & Hayley Williams von Paramore zu hören sein wird. Die mit mehrfach diamant-ausgezeichnete Künstlerin nahm das Album im Alter von 32 erneut auf, was einen Bezug zu den Lyrics ihres Songs „Never Grow Up“ („32 and still growing up now“) herstellt.

Sweat It Out now offer up a 7 inch purple vinyl edition of ‘Hypnotized’ complete with picture sleeve containing the funk-fuelled original mix, alongside an alluringly ethereal acoustic version that perfectly displays Sophie and the Giants heavenly vocals behind emotive pianos and deft acoustic guitars.

Studioalbum, bestehend aus 11 Songs und vom Schweden Daniel Bengtson produziert. « Palomino » est le cinquième album du groupe suédois First Aid Kit. Écrit et enregistré dans leur pays d'origine, la Suède, « Palomino » a été créé pendant cette période sombre de pandémie mondiale, mais s'avère être l'album le plus pop de First Aid Kit à ce jour. Composé de 11 titres, il a été produit par Daniel Bengtson. «C'est le premier album que nous enregistrons en Suède depuis notre premier album « The Big Black & The Blue » il y a 12 ans ! Nous avons travaillé avec le producteur suédois Daniel Bengtson dans son charmant studio Rymden à Stockholm. C'était une expérience super amusante. Nous nous sommes vraiment laissé le temps d'enregistrer, nous ne voulions pas nous précipiter. Les morceaux ont été principalement écrits pendant la pandémie. Durant cette période compliquée, la musique était synonyme d'évasion, une bouffée d'air face à ce qu'il se passait dans le monde. Nous voulions que cet album soit plus optimiste et joyeux que notre album précédent, « Ruins », qui était un album de rupture. Ce nouveau projet est probablement notre album le plus pop à ce jour. Nous avons trouvé de l'inspiration partout - auprès de groupes tels que Fleetwood Mac, Carole King, Tom Petty, T Rex, Elton John, mais aussi Angel Olsen, Whitney et Big Thief.''

DJML & Jerod S. Rivera debut Later Version project with ‘Swim Domain’ EP on Third Place

Later Version is made up of Oakland-based artists Dan Letson and Jerod S. Rivera, whose debut EP lands on London-based Third Place this April.

Across the 12”, the duo’s natural flair for hi-res IDM-tinged electronica is on full display, with four colourful and playful originals accompanied by a stellar (digital only) remix from Jacktone co-owner, Dark Entries and Tartelet Records affiliate, and Beats Unlimited member Doc Sleep.

Released in the UK in January 1967 by Decca Records and February by London Records in the US – Between The Buttons was the Stones’ fifth British and seventh US studio album. Released as the follow-up to Aftermath, this album marked a high point in the band’s career, continuing their ventures into psychedelia and baroque pop balladry, it is among the band’s most musically eclectic works. Brian Jones sidelined his guitar on much of the album, instead playing a wide variety of other instruments including organ, marimba, vibraphone, and kazoo. Piano contributions came from two session players: former Rolling Stones member Ian Stewart and frequent contributor and studio legend Jack Nitzsche. It was the last album produced by Andrew Loog Oldham, the band’s manager and producer of all of their albums to this point.

The album has one of the most striking sleeves of the period, featuring a classic Gered Mankowitz image on the cover. The photo shoot took place at 5:30 in the morning following an all-night recording session at Olympic Studios. Using a home-made camera filter constructed of black card, glass and Vaseline, Mankowitz created the effect of the Stones dissolving into their surroundings – according to Mankowitz… ""to capture the ethereal, druggy feel of the time; that feeling at the end of the night when dawn was breaking and they’d been up all night making music, stoned.”

The songs continued Aftermath’s lyrics of acute social observation and savage insight, their earlier raw, rootsy power enhanced by other influences of the period – notably The Beatles, The Kinks, and again Dylan. It is one of their strongest, most varied LPs, with many great songs that remain unknown to all but Stones devotees.
The inventive arrangements and innovative instrumentation on brooding near-classics like All Sold Out, My Obsession and Yesterday’s Papers brought a new dimension to the music. She Smiled Sweetly shows their hidden romantic side at its best, Connection is one of the record’s few pieces of more conventional driving rock and album closer Something Happened To Me Yesterday includes Keith’s first solo vocal.

The US version includes contemporaneous hits – the two songs that gave the group a double-sided number one in early 1967: the shameless and controversial Let’s Spend The Night Together and the beautiful, melancholy Ruby Tuesday.
