Brand new Manchester imprint, 160 Street Recordings is excited to announce its first vinyl release, Evolutions EP, by the dynamic production duo of Response and Buda. With a reputation for carving out a distinctive uncompromising sound, the pair return with a gritty, dark collection of tracks that channel the deep, raw energy of early 90s Jungle and Jungle Techno.
Drawing influences from the breakbeat-driven sub-bass and atmospheric elements of that era, the Evolutions EP fuses heavy basslines, classic breaks, and dark, rave-inspired energy.

The EP opens with the title track, ‘Evolutions’—a driving, atmospheric tune full of breakbeat intensity and underpinned by weighty sub bass. Kicking off with a memorable rave stab melody, the track builds with powerful percussion and a haunting, evolving soundscape that moves between light and dark.

“Break, show ‘em something, but not too much….” ‘Fintons Dub’ brings a laid-back dubbed out groove, with a selection of classic breaks and a deep sub-bass foundation. An atmospheric pad and cinematic Kung Fu movie sample add depth to this cut, the breaks building gradually with delays as the track rolls out..
B1. Fintons Dub (Double 0 Remix)
No introduction is needed for Double 0, co-founder of legendary London club night Rupture and one of the pioneering figures of the original Hardcore Jungle Techno sound. His remix of ‘Fintons Dub’ takes the track back to his Doncaster warehouse roots, unleashing thunderous bass and breakbeat energy, a twisted mentasm and techno infused stabs. A true dancefloor weapon that embodies the true spirit of Jungle Techno.
B2. Acid Vein
Rounding off the e.p. is ‘Acid Vein’ a 303 led breakbeat bomb that infuses rolling breaks with a pounding sub bass and haunting jazz samples. Slower in tempo than the previous tracks and more reminiscent of the more formative years of rave, Acid Vein will also appeal to the wider breakbeat community.

Back in 2014, the story was first whispered; A mythical jaunt set to a motorik rhythm, played out in an overgrown forest of ideas: Jane Weaver’s ‘The Silver Globe’ was a conceptual delicacy – “a synth-ridden post-apocalyptic prog-pop opus based on tightly embroidered, non-linear recurring themes inspired by esoteric stories, cosmic imagery and re-filtered past experiences”. Since those heady beginnings, our heroine has time travelled to darker times and been celebrated for her glorious ‘Modern Kosmology’ (top album of 2017, here, there, everywhere).

Doris Brendel & Lee Dunham take an unexpected yet electrifying turn into the world of Blues with their latest album, Big Blue Sky. Tone Def were one of the original batch of artists to sign to Moving Shadow back in 1991, who brought there early demos into the studio with label head honcho Rob Playford, releasing 4 records on the label between 91-92. At the same time Rog from the band was also building speakers and installing club and free party sound systems. His skills were unchallenged and he soon went on to be one of the top speaker/system makers in the UK, if not the world with his company Void Acoustics.

But not all the band’s music from back then ended up on Moving Shadow … some of it was lost to ¼” tape and forgotten about until 2019 when Vinyl Fanatiks reached out to the band, being that we are all Bournemouth based. Rog dug out the tapes and went through them, finding many tracks which have been released on Vinyl Fanatiks and sister label Acid Boom.

This is the final chapter of the lost tapes – two tracks written in 1992, finally getting a release after 31 years!

House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 is the fourth studio album by American rock band Stone Sour. It is the first Stone Sour album without bass player Shawn Economaki, who left the band in 2012, his studio replacement was Rachel Bolan from Skid Row. Musically, Corey Taylor also described the album's sound as "Pink Floyd's The Wall meets Alice in Chains' Dirt". House of Gold & Bones – Part 1 was released on October 22, 2012 and debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200 music album charts. The album has sold just under 130.000 copies in the United States alone and got raving reviews all over the globe. The album hasn't been available on vinyl for over 10 years and is now available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on gold coloured vinyl and includes a 4 page booklet.

Hey, hard rock and metal fans—ready for another classic, early ‘90s album that never before made it to vinyl here in the States? Did we hear you say “Yeah!?” Then may we present Tyketto: Don’t Come Easy! This is another great, rockin’ record that got lost in the grunge craze that swept the music industry, and, just like our recent reissue of Wildside’s Under the Influence, it’s the debut release from a band that should have blown up much bigger than they did. You no doubt remember their single “Forever Young;” but the rest of the album offers melodic hard rock of the highest order, especially on tracks like “Burning Down Inside” and the power ballad “Standing Alone.” Excellent vocal work from former Waysted frontman Danny Vaughn, too. Goed nieuws voor punkfans en nostalgische herrieschoppers: BLPRecords brengt de eerste twee LP's van Belgian Asociality opnieuw uit! De legendarische albums 'Belgian Asociality' (1989) met nummers als Boederie, Miep Miep en Keerbergen en 'Astamblief' (1991, met klassiekers als Bompa Punk, Jupiler Reggae en Stagedive zijn opnieuw verkrijgbaar op vinyl, allebei in een beperkte oplage van 500 exemplaren op gekleurd vinyl.

Gewapend met snedige teksten, genadeloze riffs en een onmiskenbaar Belgisch gevoel voor absurdisme, groeide Belgian Asociality uit tot een van de meest iconische en eigenzinnige punkbands van het land. Met hun unieke mix van punk, hardcore en maatschappijkritische humor schopte de meest asociale punkband van Belgë vanaf eind jaren '80 keihard tegen de schenen van de muziekscene. De groep onstond in 1988 in Mechelen en Keerbergen en is tot op heden een band met een stevige live-reputatie. Belgian Asociality is nog steeds zien op de Belgische concert - en festivalpodia.

Thomas Newman became the ninth composer in the James Bond series history. His score for the 2012 movie Skyfall won the BAFTA Award for Best Film Music. In 2013, it became one of two Bond scores to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Score. Skyfall (2012) is the twenty-third spy film in the James Bond film series. It features Daniel Craig in his third performance as James Bond, and Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva, the film's villain. The movie was directed by Sam Mendes and centers on Bond investigating an attack on MI6. The attack is part of a plot by former MI6 agent Raoul Silva to humiliate, discredit and kill M as revenge against her for betraying him. The film sees the return of two recurring characters to the series after an absence of two films: Q, played by Ben Whishaw, and Moneypenny, played by Naomie Harris. Skyfall is the last film of the series for Judi Dench, who played M, a role that she had played in the previous six films. Skyfall is available as a limited edition of 1500 numbered copies on translucent red coloured vinyl. This 2LP package comes in a gatefold sleeve and includes a 4-page booklet.

"Return of the Giant Slits" is the second studio album by the English punk band The Slits, released in October 1981 by CBS Records. This album marked a departure from their earlier punk sound, embracing a more experimental approach influenced by afro-pop, dub, and world music. The album was produced by Dennis Bovell, Dick O'Dell and The Slits. Upon its release, "Return of the Giant Slits" received mixed reviews, with some listeners finding its experimental nature challenging. However, over time, it has been re-evaluated and appreciated for its innovative fusion of genres. -Pitchfork described it as "a slippery, glorious mess that will infuriate anyone expecting the Slits to revisit their debut." this MOV release comes as a Limited edition of 750 copies on red & black marbled vinyl.

2CELLOS are back with their third album Celloverse, which returns to the sound and concept of their self-titled debut, building on Luka Sulic & Stjepan Hauser's unique ability to re-imagine current and classic rock and pop songs with their own extraordinary energy — blasting instrumental music off into a whole new Celloverse. The album includes audio recordings of their YouTube releases of "Thunderstruck" and "I Will Wait" as well as new takes on songs such as Avicii's "Wake Me Up," Iron Maiden's "The Trooper" and another Michael Jackson favourite "They Don't Care About Us." How many albums virtually upend a genre? And how many erstwhile bluegrass bands top a contemporary jazz chart?! The answer to these questions, is, one, very few, and two, only Béla Fleck & the Flecktones! Their second album, 1991’s fancifully entitled Flight of the Cosmic Hippo, did indeed top Billboard’s contemporary jazz albums chart and scored a couple of Grammy noms. But more importantly, this record really made explicit the Flecktones’ bebop leanings, as they devised the term “Blu-Bop” to describe their unique fusion of bluegrass and jazz. Stylistic whiplash has never felt so good or sounded so sweet; check out their warm, instrumental wizardry on chestnuts like “Michelle” and “The Star Spangled Banner”…and don’t miss Béla’s banjo power chords on “Turtle Rock!” We had Mike Milchner at Sonic Vision remaster this classic for vinyl for maximum fidelity, and gave it a repress in cobalt blue vinyl limited to just 900 copies. Essential!

In 2005, the Grand Rapids band Still Remains dropped their first studio album Of Love and Lunacy, and since that time its reputation has only grown as one of the great lost classics of the metalcore genre. Now, with full support of the band, we at Real Gone are releasing Of Love and Lunacy on vinyl for the first time to celebrate its 20th anniversary. It’s not just the musicianship that sets this record apart, though this band’s ability to punctuate pummeling passages with fantastically progressive melodic interludes is definitely one of its calling cards. It’s also the impassioned poetry of the lyrics, which often employ startling, spiritually-tinged imagery to express extreme states of emotion. Too sensitive for some? Maybe. But it also rocks like all get-out, especially in this remastered-for-vinyl (by Mike Milchner at Sonic Vision) edition.
