Im Laufe ihrer ersten beiden Alben "Cosmovore" und "Providence" haben sich Ulthar eine einzigartige Nische im Spektrum des Underground-Metal geschaffen, indem sie eine grotesk-elegante Mischung aus technischer Death-Metal-Alchemie und den stechenden Eiswinden des Black Metal schmiedeten. Fast 3 Jahre nach "Providence" hat ein Ausbruch von tödlicher Kreativität zu ZWEI neuen Alben geführt, die nun gleichzeitig veröffentlicht werden.

Während das Schwesteralbum "Anthronomicon" ein 8-teiliges Puzzle aus labyrinthischem Tumult darstellt, nimmt "Helionomicon" diese Elemente und erschafft zwei hoch aufragende 20-minütige Monolithen von strahlender Avantgarde-Unermesslichkeit. Jeder der beiden Tracks mit den passenden Titeln "Helionomicon" und "Anthronomicon" entführt den Hörer auf eine ausgedehnte Reise durch ein psychozerebrales Spektakel, in dem bisher ungeahnte Landschaften Gestalt annehmen und seltsame, nicht greifbare Strukturen das sich auflösende Firmament durchdringen. Trotz der beträchtlichen Länge dieser beiden Tracks wird es nie langweilig; jeder besucht unzählige neue Ausblicke und Perspektiven über die Zeit hinweg. Im Grunde ist "Helionomicon" eine Synthese des gesamten bisherigen Schaffens von Ulthar in Form von zwei kulminierenden, ambitionierten Epen.

Das Trio, in Rio de Janeiro gegründet, ist stark vom englischen und italienischen Prog Rock der 70er Jahre inspiriert, aber auch von traditioneller und populärer brasilianischer Musik beeinflusst, was ihnen einen besonderen und ziemlich einzigartigen Sound verleiht. Caravela Escarlates drittes Album ist eine neue Reise in alte Progressive-Rock-Wege. 'III' erinnert an historische Themen in verschiedenen Kontexten - Römisches Reich, Mittelalter, präkolumbianische Zivilisationen und Zeitalter der Entdeckungen. Das Cover-Artwork ist ein Gemälde des britischen Künstlers J.M.W. Turner, das den Ausbruch des Vesuvs darstellt, der Pompeji im Jahr 79 n. Chr. zerstörte. Musikalisch liefert die Band eine tiefe Melange aus Orgel und Synthesizern auf einer soliden Grundlage von Drums und Bass. Sieben Tracks (zwei Instrumentals) befeuern den einzigartigen Ansatz von Caravela Escarlate, der universell Einflüsse inkl. brasilianischem Akzent im Prog Rock mischt.

Runnin' Out of Fools is the sixth studio album by the American “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin, originally released in 1964 and arranged and conducted by Belford C. Hendricks. The album features cover versions of Dionne Warwick “Walk On By”, Betty Everett “The Shoop Shoop Song (It's In His Kiss)” and Mary Wells “My Guy” amongst others.

Hollie Kenniff's second LP for Western Vinyl, We All Have Places That We Miss, is a gallery of cloudlike synths, seraphic strings, and humming guitars, all coaxed into cohesion by Hollie's own wordless singing. The album's 2021 precursor, The Quiet Drift, landed on Bandcamp's Best Ambient list alongside the description "Drawing on the deep tones of drone, dream pop harmonies, and new age's bright tranquility, Kenniff evokes the forests, lakes and rivers of her past and present surroundings with a zen patience." Here on Places_ she strides even further into reminiscence, seeking and commemorating the fondly tragic ache of half-remembered locales lost to time: A grandparent's dim living room from an ambiguous decade; a lonely clearing beside a trail we can't remember if we walked or just dreamt; the calming light of a movie that aired years before we were born though our feelings insist we were there with the characters. We All Have Places That We Miss transmutes such glimmers into a palpable sonic kingdom that can be revisited at will, recalling the pedal-board ambience of Windy & Carl, Adam Wiltzie, and Liz Harris.

When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going is the second studio album by English new wave band Bow Wow Wow, originally released in 1983. It was produced by Mike Chapman, who previously worked with Pat Benatar and Blondie amongst others. It is the final album featuring all four original members of the band and the first album that had no writers other than the band members contributing. At the behest of guitarist Matthew Ashman, vocalist Annabella Lwin wrote all the lyrics on the album. The lead single, “Do You Wanna Hold Me?”, reached #47 in the UK, but fared best on the Dutch charts, where it peaked at
#3. With the help of a video in heavy rotation on MTV, the song achieved success in the US.

The British shoegaze band Chapterhouse released two albums during their existence, Whirlpool (1991) and Blood Music (1993). Blood Music spawned the single “We Are The Beautiful”, which was released during that same year and also appeared as a 12”.

The 1993 EP We Are The Beautiful features the title track, a mix of the title track, and two additional tracks: “Frost” and “Age”. Except for “We Are The Beautiful”, none of the tracks have been released on Chapterhouse’s studio albums.

We Are The Beautiful is available as a limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on gold & black marbled vinyl.

Mit der Geburt ihres ersten Full-Length-Albums "Lone" im Jahr 2019 tauchte das atmosphärische Death-Doom-Duo OAK aus Portugal mit einer langsamen und stetigen Kraft auf - wie Wurzeln, die durch Beton brechen. Nach vier Jahren Schlummer ist die Band wie die alten Götter erwacht und bereit, mit ihrem zweiten Werk "Disintegrate" völlige Verwüstung auf die Massen loszulassen. Endlich ist es soweit: das Breakout Indie-Pop-Phänomen Benee veröffentlicht ihre beiden EPs auf Vinyl.

Das Album „Fire On Marzz / Stella & Steve“ beinhaltet sowohl Benees im Juni 2019 veröffentlichte Debüt EP „Fire On Marzz“ mit den Hits „Glitter“ und „Soaked“, als auch die im November 2019 erschienene EP „Stella & Steve“.

Über ihren aktuellen Hit „Supalonely“ ft. Gus Dapperton, der ebenfalls auf dem Album zu hören ist, sagt die 20-jährige Neuseeländerin, dass es ein super selbstironischer Song ist, bei dem sie sich einfach über ihre Traurigkeit lustig macht.

Benee, die mit eigentlichem Namen Stella Rose Bennett heißt, gewann bereits vier New Zealand Music Awards. Sie nahm die Auszeichnungen für Best Single („Soaked“), Best Solo Artist, Best Pop Artist und Breaktrough Artist mit nach Hause. Über die Inspiration hinter dem Titel für „Stella & Steve“ sagt Benee "Ich bin Stella, und mein Auto heißt Steve".
