Da sie dieses Mal nicht in der Lage waren, ihre neue Musik
direkt unter die Leute zu bringen, beschlossen sie stattdessen, sich erneut mit Begeisterung in den kreativen Prozess
zu stürzen.
Das Endergebnis all dieser Kreativität ist dazu bestimmt,
eine der großen progressiven Platten des Jahres zu werden.

In the late 1950s, Tina Turner (née Anna Mae Bullock) caught a performance of Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythm at St. Louis nightclub and practically begged Ike to let her sing with the band. Ike refused, as only men were allowed to sing in his group at the time, but she persisted, and once he heard Tina sing he wouldn’t let her stop. Since that fateful meeting, the world of R&B has never been the same. Ike & Tina Turner’s Kings of Rhythm Dance is their second long player, originally released in 1961, and it is full of stompers, rippers, and all around rocking R&B magic. Ike’s guitar tone and style are the perfect complement to Tina’s unmistakable voice. Now nearly impossible to find an original LP at a reasonable price, Destination Moon once again saves the party by putting another R&B classic back in print. Sought-after Brazilian classic originally released in 1974, "Molhado De Suor" is the first solo effort by Alceu Valença, mixing traditional northeastern Brazilian music and rhythms with folk rock and psychedelia. Aided by Lula Cortes and Geraldo Azevedo, Valença's rich vocals combine with driving guitar work, moody arrangements and unusual trips. Reissued again after years unavailable. DESCRIPTION In the early '70s tropicalia was going strong, a challenge to both the music establishment and the state. Música Popular Brasileira (or MPB) was firmly established. Up in the northeastern corner of Brazil, centered in Recife, was another exciting strain of Brazilian culture called Udigrudi. "Molhado De Suor" is the first solo effort by Alceu Valença, mixing traditional northeastern Brazilian music and rhythms with folk rock and psychedelia. Rising UK duo Mia Mendi returns for their second outing on Watergate Records with the retro-tinged Robosynapse EP.

The label debut of Mia Mendi was a notable 2021 highlight for the Oberbaumbrücke imprint. Titled 'Ubi’, the EP was a collaboration with Thomas Gandey and demonstrated their full-bodied dancefloor approach, injecting their unique sound signature into a modern progressive house palette.

‘Robosynapse’ is no less exciting (or fun). The title track is a plump nu wave houser, driven by soaring retro synths, a gutsy electro bassline and an 80s guitar solo. ‘Simulated Reality’ buzzes and hums, seven minutes of emotional electro and crispy drumlines, before handing the baton to ‘Cyborg String’, which continues the dreamy throwdown.

Alan Dixon makes his first contribution to Watergate Records and re-fashions ‘Robosynapse’ into a glistening cosmic-tinged beast, amplifying the focus on the guitar lead. Fresh off her label debut with the excellent ‘Mind Control’ EP, Henri Bergmann makes a welcome return to re-work ‘Simulated Reality’ into a powerful melodic gem, heightening the focus on the synths. An added bonus to the pack, Musumeci delivers a supreme chugging re-work of ‘Ubi’. Game on!

This explosive set of 22 floor filling synth-italo-tech-disco blasts from the past charts the rise and heyday of the synthesizer in Finnish pop music. Compiled by renowned Helsinki DJ and music historian Mikko Mattlar, these 22 choice cuts from 1978 to 1992 include many cult hits and impossibly rare tracks, such as the Fenno-Italo-disco cult classic Satan in Love by Emilia and the synthetic experiments of Argon and Syntax.

The name COLD EMBRACE has stood for heavy, epic Doom Metal for over 24 years now. Lyrically, a lot revolves around nature-loving paganism. But there are also everyday experiences about people on the lyrical menu. The band was founded by Andreas Libera (bass, vocals). The first permanent line-up came about in 1998 during the recording of the third demo through a collaboration with Michael Hahn
(INCUBATOR, ex-RHYTHM JUNKIES (guitar, vocals)), who was in charge of the recording as a producer, moreover, who recorded some lead and melodic guitars. The was the result of the collaboration was the debut „Ode to Sorrow“ from 1999, which triggered positive reactions from the press (Orkus, Metal Hammer etc.). After the release, COLD EMBRACE got the opportunity to accompany New Orleans sludge doom legends CROWBAR on their German tour dates. In 2001, the second album, Age of Doom, a thoroughbred epic Viking Doom record, was produced. They were not idle at all and already in August
2003 they recorded the compositions for the EP „Buran“. Some of these were songs that were not included on the two albums. Since no label could be found, the hitherto successful band and project slowly but surely fizzled out. At some point the involved partners sat together and listened to the „BuranEP“ after a long break. It was concluded that a few new songs and a qualitatively adjusted remaster would be a good start.

So „Buran“ was remixed, mastered and new songs were added. The result will be released in 2022 by the authentic label ALLEGRO TALENT MEDIA under the album title „Versus Recentem Mundum“. At the same time, it should serve as a prelude to the fourth full-length album, which is scheduled for release in 2023.

There’s a lyric in ‘Sorcerer’s Fate’ that mentions ‘past and future both aligned,’ and that became the concept here. The whole thing is presented in reverse chronological order. That way, you get a sense of where SPIRIT ADRIFT is headed, but you’re also taken on a journey back in time through our most fundamental influences. Born in march 2000, ANGELUS APATRIDA became in few years one of the most important Spanish thrash metal bands. Many demos and band members passed through the history of ANGELUS APATRIDA but it was in January 2003 that the band decided to write pounding thrash metal , mostly influenced by like Pantera, Megadeth, Overkill, Anthrax or Annihilator. Theodore Lee Croker is an American jazz trumpeter, composer, producer and vocalist. He is a Grammy Award nominee, three-time Echo Award nominee, as well as a Theodore Presser Award recipient.

As the grandson of trumpeter Doc Cheatham, Theo Croker has jazz music in his DNA. Escape Velocity is his fourth studio album, originally released in 2016. He was discovered by singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, who became his mentor and can also be heard on this album (“Love from the Sun”). Croker thinks big and plays big, along with his equally talented band. His songs are full of interesting twists and turns but remains very cohesive, ensuring that this album never gets boring.

Escape Velocity is available as a limited edition of 500 individually numbered copies on crystal clear vinyl and includes an insert with liner notes.

Working with his long time visual partner Antoine Schmitt, ATOTAL is an audiovisual performance aiming to reconstruct in order to better deconstruct the processes of imposition of will by repetition and absolute synchronism, to propose a breach to a potentially life-saving decoincidence. The total work of art, when pushed to its paroxysm of absolute coincidence of the perceptions of a captive spectator, is similar to the techniques of mental manipulation of totalitarian regimes, proceeding by annihilation of the critical mind, repetitive semantic pounding, subliminal messages. The ideal of a deterministic universe of Newton in which everything rationally stems from its causes, in which everything is predictable like a totality for Laplace’s daemon, where everything can be considered already written, has been undermined in the infinitely small of the uncertainties of Heisenberg which tell us that it is impossible to know everything about a particle, in the quantum mechanics of Schrödinger which reveals to us that the looker affects the looked-at, and in the infinitely abstract of Gödel’s incompleteness which explains to us that certain things are literally unexplainable. Coming out on July, Jazz Codes is Moor Mother's second and latest album for Anti- and a com?panion to her celebrated 2021 release Black Encyclopedia of the Air. Jazz Codes uses free jazz as a starting point but the collection continues the recent turn in Moor Mother's multifaceted catalog toward more melody, more singing voices, more choruses, more complexity. In its warm, densely layered course through jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, and other Black classical traditions, Jazz Codes sets the ear blissfully adrift and unhitches the mind from habit. Through her work, Ayewa illuminates the principles of her multidisciplinary collaborative practice Black Quantum Futur?ism, a theoretical framework for perceiving and adjusting reality through art, writing, music, and performance, informed by historical Black ontologies.The songwriter, composer, vocalist, poet, and educator Camae Ayewa spent years organizing and performing in Philadelphia's underground music community before moving to Los Angeles to teach composition at the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music. She released her debut album as Moor Mother, Fetish Bones, in 2016, and has since put out an abundance of acclaimed music, both as a solo artist and in collaboration with other musicians who share her drive to dig up the untold. She has performed and recorded with the free jazz groups Irreversible Entanglements and the Art Ensemble of Chica?go, and made records with billy woods, Mental Jewelry, and YATTA.
