a fascination flows down the chemical gradient. songbirds take flight from a colonial square in montevideo and fall as acorns in the foothills of the sierra nevada. the moon aches, holding a teeming darkness to the edges of the clearing as we make quick work for the machines. first a pulse, then an armature is spun up around it while the whipping plasma of virtual half-thoughts cools and hardens into something more familiar. a gleaming clash of frogsong begins to reveal its cadences, unspooling into regular striations. it forms a grid in the air, the water rises to meet it, and pressed between these mirrored planes of disappearance we find our vector and glide towards the horizon.

FJAAK return with FJAAK014, a four-track EP packed with their signature analogue energy, funk-driven grooves and unmistakable Detroit-inspired synth work. This release is raw, percussive and unapologetically dancefloor-focused: Across four tracks, FJAAK once again prove why they remain one of the most vital voices in electronic music. The EP kicks off with 'Soulfriction', a cut built on a groove where power house meets jungle. It's a pure body-mover, all pulse and propulsion, with layered percussion that nods to classic warehouse sets while pushing things forward in true FJAAK fashion. On 'Run To Me', the duo bring soulful vocals in, weaving them into a driving rhythm that fuses housey breakbeats and thick analogue grooves. The B-side starts with 'Keep The Balance', a track that strips things down a touch. More introspective, but still locked into a deep, funky flow. Liverpool-based DJ and production duo North 90 channel the raw energy of classic electro on their new EP, Panorama, via M.A.D Records. Fusing punchy drum programming, funk-laced basslines, and icy synth textures, the release pays homage to the genre’s old-school roots while keeping one foot firmly in the modern club landscape.

The complete collection of her elementally inspired series channelling Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. Scotland’s own Mha Iri completes her elemental journey with the announcement of her first long player, the Four Elements album – a special vinyl collection bringing together the full force of her Earth (Leader of the Pack), Fire (Elements of Dance), Water (Come With Me), and Air (Fury) EPs. Out on vinyl on December 5, the album marks the culmination of an 18-month sonic and creative exploration through the natural elements that have defined her rise as one of techno’s most commanding new voices. The vinyl release will feature eight stand-out tracks and is pressed on black vinyl and presented in a spined single outer sleeve with printed inner.

Magnificent Fall, The Notwist's new rarities compilation, compiles some special and wild moments from this unique German indie group's rich history. They've always snuck gorgeous songs and thrilling remixes onto split singles, extended plays, and other formats, across their career, and pieced together here – compiled thoughtfully, with sensitivity to flow and the listening experience – these thirteen selections work as a kind of ‘shadow narrative’ of The Notwist, an alternative index of the possibilities this shape-shifting group uncovered during their time together.

They've been smart to let go of chronology when sequencing Magnificent Fall, so the songs here move across phases and stages of The Notwist's career, helmed by brothers Markus and Micha Acher. This approach makes plenty of sense, as this music compiled here abstracts from two impulses – to push forward and not repeat what has come before, while building from the group's very specific musical language. Just one example: the loveliness of the instrumental “Avalanche”, from 2020's Ship, follows elegantly from the happy-sad glitch-pop of “Blank Air”, from a 2010 split with former member Martin Gretschmann's project Console. Different phases, different memberships, shared concerns.

The Notwist have always been interested in and open to community, and one of the many ways they reach out to others is through the remix. There are three here, sent back to The Notwist from different corners of the world, both aesthetically and geographically: Grizzly Bear take on “Boneless”, Ada tackles “Run Run Run”, and Odd Nosdam submerges “Sleep” in noise and clatter. Another connection, of course: Odd Nosdam is part of The Notwist's extended family, through Markus and Micha Acher's 13 & God project with fellow Anticon artists Themselves and Subtle.

So, the music on Magnificent Fall traverses varying terrain – abstract hip-hop, chamber pop, sweet and simple folk song, indietronica, free-floating improvisation. There are several unreleased songs, as well, drawn from across the group's history. Core to it all, though, the thing that makes The Notwist so singular, is the thumbprint of the Acher brothers, their gently poetic way of moving through the world and welcoming other musicians and artists into the fold, expressively and with generosity.

Historically aware without being nostalgic, Magnificent Fall is the perfect way to introduce The Notwist's reissue programme with Morr Music, too, including a box set, and the group's eight albums, documenting their three-and-a-half decades of music and community-making. Looking back to move forward? It's a very good idea.

Born in Sant Cugat del Valles, Spain, Rosalia has spent the last decade reshaping the language of pop by folding flamenco's emotional gravity into experimental production. Her fourth studio record pushes that ambition further. Recorded at London's Studio 13 with the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Daniel Bjarnason, Lux is conceived as a four-part suite exploring "feminine mysticism, transformation and transcendence". Across its eighteen tracks, she blends classical orchestration with industrial textures and devotional themes. The lead single 'Berghain' - featuring Bjork and Yves Tumor - fuses cathedral-scale electronics with liturgical chant while 'La Rumba Del Perdon' pairs Estrella Morente and Silvia Perez Cruz in a near-sacred lament. Sung in English, German and Spanish, it's Rosalia's boldest statement yet.

It's ten up for Ira James's so-far-so-superb Vessel Recordings Group label as the duo of Nonfiction and Kid Enigma step up for a fresh new single. 'Make It Look Good' is an instant house classic with all the key elements nailed: the drums are deep but driving, while the percussion adds texture and bite. And who better to add some further layers of house authenticity than the one and only Chicago don DJ Sneak. First up he goes raw and loop as you would expect, then dubs things out with his second offering. Another doozy from this imprint.

Abgeleitet vom sambischen Wort für 'Zukunft', verwebt 'SOGOLO' den von der Garage inspirierten Psych, Funk und Rock, den WITCH in ihrer Blütezeit in den 1970er Jahren buchstäblich miterfunden haben, mit dem experimentellen Geist des Augenblicks. Die Geschichte von WITCH ist fast zu außergewöhnlich, um sie zu glauben. For the 25th anniversary of the release of Strange Attitude on Sony, TMS Records has decided to re-release the album in a deluxe version (new artwork by H5) on vinyl, as well as digitally on October 24, 2025.

Title track ”Scottish Piano” amalgamates a million shared moments on Scottish dance-floors and living room afterparties. On the flip, Ultra-Free samples the vocal hook from the ultimate Scottish old skool rave anthem ”Obsession” by legends ‘Ultra-Sonic.’ Hardcore pianos meet gated synths and thumping solid bass, the sound of many a misspent youth.

Through the haze of smoke and strobes, the Close Proximity Trance Mix recalls the wildest, most ecstatic, face-melting moments from the legendary Metro and Hangar 13 clubs. Positions of Power is the debut EP of Berlin-based DJ and producer Souci. This love letter to Detroit pays homage to the foundations of house and techno, and features several of the Motor City's rising stars. Following up last summer’s dark and driving ‘Amotik 013’, Amotik returns with the hypnotic rhythms of his next instalment on his self-titled label. For the ‘Amotik 014’ EP, Amotik is joined by Tina Ramamurthy, whom Amotik previously worked with on his 2020 Bpitch record and his second album ‘Patanjali’ in 2022. This time, Ramamurthy joins Amotik for the entire ‘Amotik 014’ EP, with ‘Chauhattar’ starting things off with psychedelic spoken word vocals over dubbed-out hits and a chugging beat.

The track is neatly followed by ‘Pachattar’, which continues that early 2000s drummy, New York feel on the B-side of Amotik’s ‘Amotik 014’. Here, Tina’s vocal echoes through cavernous halls while its massive low-end-heavy drums keep steady in a real trip. ‘Chihattar’ then emerges from the darkness, bright pads and subtle percussion accompanying poetry recited by Tina Ramamurthy, evoking the familiar comforts of nostalgia and closing this three-track EP from the husband and wife duo.

For its debut release, Echoform presents a sonic palette of the shapes and colors that define its events.
The journey begins with Circles, a tension-packed peaktime driver. Built around a deep bassline, layered leads, and emotional pads, all tied together by a vocal that calls for love.
Next is Squares, a raw, heads-down groover made for sweaty dancefloors. Dreamy FX meet stripped-back rhythms in a hypnotic blend.

Primediv.space presents Hypnosis, the latest statement from New York producer Vincent Fiore. A stripped two-tracker built for late-night floors, the EP dives into hypnotic techno pressure with precision and force. Waves of repetition and drive unfold across the title track, while the included locked groove distills Fiore’s vision into a raw, endless loop. Pure, functional, and deeply entrancing - this is techno at its most focused.

François X closes The Skin Between Us with a final chapter that sharpens his vision.

Where Part I explored heritage and tension, Part II brings clarity — two new tracks that affirm his belief in techno as something lived, not abstracted.

Before I Knew The World is immersive and weighty, built on reverberant kicks and magnetic pads. In Memory Of is more direct — a driving, knight-like piece balancing percussive force and tenderness.
