WORM's zweites Album, das Anfang 2020 erschienene "Gloomlord", ist der direkte Vorläufer des massiven "Foreverglade", welches 2021 die Welt erzittern lassen sollte. "Gloomlord" war im Vergleich zum Debütalbum ein großer stilistischer Sprung nach vorne und verschaffte der Band eine breitere Aufmerksamkeit, und ihr Funeral Florida Doom hat seitdem eine eigene kultähnliche Anhängerschaft angehäuft.

Bis jetzt war "Gloomlord" schwer zu bekommen und oft nicht erhältlich. Da die Band nun fest auf 20 Buck Spin zu Hause ist und ihre ersten Live-Auftritte für 2023 plant, war es an der Zeit, die steigende Nachfrage zu befriedigen und "Gloomlord" für die breite Masse zugänglich zu machen.

Als zusätzlicher Bonus wurde das Album von Greg Chandler von den Funeral Doom Legenden ESOTERIC in den Priory Recording Studios in Großbritannien komplett neu gemastert. Und wie schon bei den Vinyl-Veröffentlichungen von "Foreverglade" und "Bluenothing" liegt auch der Neuauflage von "Gloomlord" ein großes Poster bei. Pünktlich zum 30. Bandjubiläum erschien "A Secret To Hide", das achte Album der deutschen Konstante im Prog-Metal/Prog-Rock. Nach der Veröffentlichung des erfolgreichen Vorgängers "Spiral Of Fear" im Jahr 2016 und der gemeinsamen Tour mit Psychotic Waltz war die Band schnell wieder zurück im Arbeitsmodus.
Herausgekommen ist ein musikalisch facettenreiches Werk, das immer wieder Ausbrüche aus den Genre-Grenzen wagt. Es ist harte melodische Rockmusik, die mal mehr "Rock" ist und auch mal deutlicher in Richtung "Metal" geht. Die Band prägt ihren eigenen Stil, nimmt sich die Freiheit, ihre Songs detailreich auszuarbeiten. Dabei zeigen Poverty's No Crime ein konsequentes Gespür für eingängige Melodien und sie wissen ihre Fähigkeiten an den Instrumenten immer in den Dienst des Songs zu stellen. "A Secret To Hide" beeindruckt durch viele Details, präzise ausgearbeitete Instrumentalpassagen und schlüssige, knackige Hooklines. The Beths' Warm Blood is a strong contender for the catchiest record you've never heard. Formed when four jazz students at the University of Auckland bonded over their shared love of the pop-punk sounds of their youth, The Beths bring new energy to the genre. EP, black vinyl Death doom metal group Kuolemanlaakso's most recent album Kuusumu, released to much critical acclaim in March 2022, will be followed up by a limited three song EP Kuolleiden laulu in December. Both the album and the EP were recorded in the same studio session in 2021, both share lyrical themes and cover art based on art by Evelyn De Morgan (1855-1919). "We knew already when entering the studio that we're going to record more than an album, as we had plenty of material to work on. When all ten songs were done, it felt natural to compile the album of the heavier epic songs and put the more unusual and catchy tracks on the EP. These three songs have contagious hooks and clean vocals", comments guitarist-songwriter Laakso. The title track on the EP is the band's most radio friendly track to date with a smoother production and an infectious chorus plus guest female vocals by Lotta Ruutiainen, who also performed on the album. The slow and menacing second track "Juuret jalkojeni alla" is a more complex composition, whereas the EP closing number "Rautasiivet" pays a visit to the same melancholic but catchy territory that Kent and Katatonia also inhabit. "The three songs on Kuolleiden laulu differ from one another considerably, and they present new sides to the band. Lyrically all three songs are fictional stories based on the 10-year volcanic winter that begun in 535 and has been described by historical scholars as 'the worst time to be alive'", comments Laakso. Aleksi Munter (ex-Swallow The Sun and Insomnium) plays keyboards on the EP, and it was produced, recorded, mixed and mastered by V.Santura (Triptykon), the man responsible for producing everything Kuolemanlaakso has released thus far.

Defiance is the Californian thrash metal band that consisted of Ken Elkington, Dough Harrington, Jim Adams, Mike Kaufmann and Matt Vander Ende. After issuing a demo, the band signed with Roadracer Records and traveled to Vancouver to record their debut album Product Of Society with Annihilator guitarist Jeff Waters. The album cover art was made by Ed Repka.

Product Of Society is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on translucent blue coloured vinyl.

The American-based funk/disco band Heatwave formed in 1975 and its lineup originally consisted of Johnnie Wilder Jr., Rod Temperton, Roy Carter, Mario Mantese, Ernest (Bilbo) Berger and Eric Johns. Their most popular hits include “Boogie Nights” and “Always And Forever”, which both feature on the 1976 debut album Too Hot To Handle. “Boogie Nights” charted at #2 on both the UK Singles Chart and the Billboard Hot 100 and was certified Platinum by the RIAA. The track was covered many times, including by KC and the Sunshine Band, Will To Power, 911 and The Weather Girls. The album Too Hot To Handle is produced by Barry Blue, who also produced for Andrea Bocelli, Diana Ross, Celine Dion and The Wanted amongst others.

Too Hot To Handle is available on vinyl for the first time as a 2LP expanded edition, featuring 8 bonus tracks, including 2 alternative versions of their disco classic “Boogie Nights”. Circa 1995: Thorrs Hammer was a short-lived doom/death metal band from Seattle, Washington, USA. The group consisted of Runhild Gammelsæter, a Norwegian exchange student living in the US, on vocals, guitarists Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson, bassist James Hale, and drummer Jamie Sykes.

The band played 2 shows and recorded "Dommedagsnatt" before splitting, with Runhild opting to concentrate on her education (she now has a Ph.D.) while O'Malley, Anderson, and Sykes went on to form Burning Witch. O'Malley and Anderson also perform as Sunn O))).

"Dommedagsnatt" will be an upcoming Decibel Magazine Hall of Fame inductee!

Ready for a bit of new rocking punk with just a touch of garage psych thrown in for good measure? Well, if you are, then The Mundaynes debut album 'Love It' should do the trick. Recorded during Summer 2021 on the front line of Bexhill-On-Sea, 'Love It' is stuffed to bursting with 15 great new songs. During lockdown, Bevis Frond frontman Nick Saloman, having little else to do, found himself writing loads of songs. Some were used on the Fronds’ ‘Little Eden’ album, many were discarded, and some were kept with a view of doing something with them in the future. Nick felt that a batch of these songs were pretty good, but not really suitable for The Bevis Frond, maybe being a bit too punky. However, wanting to record these songs, he called up his mate Tony Page, the former lead singer with vintage punk bands The Ploy and Apocalypse, to see if he fancied doing some vocals. Tony was only to pleased to take part. Then Nick asked bandmate Paul Simmons if he’d do all the guitar parts. Paul agreed and the three of them went into Bexhills’ Graffite Studios and laid down the tracks. The results were so good that the trio decided to put them out as an album. The impromptu band needed a name, so they became The Mundaynes, thought up by Tony because it was a Monday! Bearing in mind that all three guys played in punk bands, Tony as mentioned above, Nick with The Von Trap Family & Room 13, Paul with The Cravats and Jello Biafra, and, of course his own band The Alchemysts, the pedigree here is pretty solid. So what do we have here then? I guess it’s a loud, angry, melodic, wry punk rock album full of great tunes. Hope you ‘love it’, and if you don’t, well, that’s life.

THE FRIIMEN MUZIK COMPANY (also known as FRIIMEN) was formed after the Biafran war in 1973-1974 in the town of ABA in the eastern part of Nigeria. Aba was the Number 1 Music Hub in the entire Eastern Region of Nigeria. While bands and artists like ‘Ofege’ and ‘Fela Kuti’ ruled the LAGOS scene, bands like ‘Friimen’ and ‘The Apostles’ were ruling the ABA scene. Before forming the band, most of its members were already working together as freelance session musicians backing up solo artists on several recordings and concerts (or were playing in military bands that gradually became civilian bands because the war had just ended). FRIIMEN members’ credits were numerous and they played, wrote or performed on recordings from well-known acts like The Funkees, The Jets, The Apostles…and countless others. When they started concentrating on writing their own songs, the group instantly took off and became an overnight hit that resulted in them doing multiple successful nationwide tours. FRIIMEN would go on to record three albums: Free Man (1976), We Can Get It On (1978) and Merry Man (1979). All three albums were released on the Aba based label Anodisc Records (THE key label to be on if you wanted your music heard and out there), Anodisc also released hit records by ‘Sweet Unit’ and ‘Voice Of The Cross’ but The Friimen Muzik Company was the label’s signature band. The album we are presenting you today (Free Man from 1976) was recorded at the famous Decca Studios in Lagos and comes swinging right out of the gate with a set of no less than EIGHT monster tunes. Expect nothing less than crazy afrobeat and over the top melodic funk influenced by a wide array of artists (both local and international). Mesmerizing solos, captivating grooves, impeccable sequences that turned many heads…everything you need to get a dancehall into a complete uproar. The musicians’ skills are just plain incredible! FREE MAN is a quintessential record that every serious collector or fan needs to have in his/her collection.

Das neue Album "Risiko" von Steiner & Madlaina ist einmal mehr eine sehr persönliche Angelegenheit, die sie aber hin und wieder mit einem rotzigen Statement gehörig aufmischen. Nora und Madlaina haben sich für die Aufnahmen der zwölf Songs des neuen Albums neun Tage lang mit ihrer Band in das französische "Black Box Studio" in der Normandie zurückgezogen. Dort wurden alle Takes live eingespielt und zusammen mit Giuliano Sulzberger produziert.

Oan Kim, the revelation that transcends jazz. Oan Kim is a French Korean awarded saxophonist, filmmaker and photographer.

As a film director, he recently won awards for his documentary about his father: the famous Korean painter Kim Tschang-Yeul (Silver Horn prize in Poland and the Emerging Documentary Filmmaker Award at the DMZ International Festival in Korea).

As a musician, experienced with numerous bands (Film Noir, Chinese Army), it was during lockdown that he composed and recorded his first solo album, ‘Oan Kim & The Dirty Jazz’.

This project immediately got the attention of JeanPhilippe Allard through Artwork Records, a new label created with PIAS.

Oan Kim is a multi-faceted contemporary artist, as comfortable in galleries as in concert halls, who plays a unique music beyond the boundaries of jazz.

Oan Kim has been described in the French media as “The missing link between Portishead and Che Baker.”

My Kid Brother - Christian Neonakis (Gesang, Gitarre), Piano Whitman (Keyboard, Gesang), Sam Athanas
(Schlagzeug), Dylan Savopolous (Gitarre) und Richard Smith (Bass) - verbinden auf ihrem aktuellen Album für Fearless Records -Klavier, wehmütige psychedelische Melodien, schräge Gitarren, drahtige Grooves,
schillernde Harmonien und das Zusammenspiel von männlichem und weiblichem Gesang.
Die Geschichte besagt, dass Christian und Sam 2015 zusammen in einem lokalen Restaurant arbeiteten.
Nachdem sie Dylan kennengelernt hatten, begannen sie zu jammen, bevor sie Richard in die Band einluden.
Über ihre Musik hinaus erstreckt sich ihre Verbundenheit sogar auf ihre jeweiligen Lebensumstände. Die
Freundschaft hat Vorrang vor allem - wie das Mantra ”Take Care of Each Other” beweist. Als sie 2019 bei
Fearless Records unter Vertrag genommen wurden, stellten sie sich auf ”Native Tongue” formell vor.

Das Album ”Disclaimer” von Seether wird am 20. Januar 2023 mit einer erweiterten Neuauflage auf
Vinyl, CD und digital gefeiert. Diese enthält das ursprüngliche 12-Track-Album mit Hits wie ”Gasoline”,
”Fine Again” und ”Driven Under” sowie eine bisher unveröffentlichte Live-Show, die 2003 im Hampton
Beach Casino in New Hampshire aufgenommen wurde. Abgerundet wird das Bonusmaterial auf Disclaimer
(Deluxe Edition) durch eine seltene akustische Live-Coverversion von Nirvanas ”Something in the Way”
aus dem Jahr 2002, die ursprünglich als B-Seite veröffentlicht wurde. Einmal mehr begeistert die Band
Seether ihre Fans mit ihrer Mischung aus Alt-Metal, Grunge und Lyrik mit Herz auf dem rechten Fleck.

Iowa’s blackened punk 4-piece outfit, DRYAD, are the latest band to join Prosthetic Records roster. Featuring crusty dual vocals and relentless buzzsaw riffs, DRYAD is an anomalous combination that eludes easy classification, using elements of d-beat punk, old school death and atmospheric black metal, along with their own touch of bizarre, blackened forest filth. Since the debut of The Black Pullet EP in early 2017, DRYAD has emerged from the basements of Iowa’s DIY scene to perform regularly with a wide variety of acts like Dawn Ray’d, Street Sects, and Drugcharge. Their second offering, The Silurian Age, was released to cassette in June of 2018, and has since been quietly gaining momentum in the underground metal scene across the globe. Inspired by the earth’s ancient glacial lakes that once covered Iowa and fossil-covered cliffs that now remain, the album deals mostly with themes of ecological and political disaster and is a timely reminder of the earth’s inevitable revolt against its most destructive creatures. Sacrifice is Motörhead’s 12th studio album and was originally released on 27th March 1995. It is the second, and last album to feature the four man line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell, Würzel and Mikkey Dee. Lemmy, proud of the album is quoted as saying “This is a very good album. Put it in your system and your girlfriend’s clothes fall off.” The title track was still a live favourite up until the band came to an end. BMG are reissuing this album as orange vinyl and digipak.

The British heavy metal band Fastway formed in 1982 by former Motörhead guitarist “Fast” Eddie Clarke. He recruited Humble Pie drummer Jerry Shirley and vocalist Dave King, who later founded Flogging Molly. Their debut album was originally released in 1983 and features the two singles “We Become One” and “Easy Livin’”. Despite not being released as an official single, the track “Say What You Will” became one of their biggest hits to date.

Fastway is available as a 40th anniversary edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on red coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

Producer, singer and instrumentalist Al Jourgensen founded the American industrial metal band Ministry in 1981, which became one of the pioneers in their genre. In 2004, they released their ninth studio album Houses Of The Molé. The musical style of the album is more thrash metal-oriented than previous Ministry-releases. It is noteworthy for being the first Ministry album not to feature bassist and longtime collaborator Paul Barker, but also the first to feature Mike Scaccia on guitar since 1996. The album spawned one single, “No “W””, which features Rey Washam as a guest performer.

Houses Of The Molé is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on gold coloured vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve.
