It has nothing to do with George Orwell's magnificent book but it could remind some of how the apocalypse might sound one day.

1984 is as sweet as the very first track, Little Raver, of The Golden Ravedays album but it stresses the fact that even though Superpitcher produces music mainly intended for the dance floor, he creates sound that is bordering on the shamanic.

1984 might as well be the meeting of a group of supersonic bottlenose whales that are overly excited to see each other after being separated by many an ocean and moon.

Side B of this edition brings us Pocket Love.

Because we believe this is nothing other than a gift to us all.

Over 3 years ago, Casey Tucker was thrust into the limelight after 15 years in the shadows. Never truly getting the recognition for is Detroit influenced and post rave sound in the 90s, For Those That Knoe reissued some of Casey's classic material and unearthed some gems on DAT in 2013. Fast forward to the current day and a recent treasure trove was uncovered and some fresh DATs untouched since the late 90s were discovered! Ben promptly bought a DAT player on Ebay and shipped it to Casey's home for the un-dusting to commence. FTTK has worked with Casey to present another round of authentic material spread across a further three EPs.The track Carpet Dancer has been in demand since the Fine Balance Recordings gained deserved attention. Originally featuring as the A Side on the very first fine Balance EP, it evokes all of the emotions that Casey's music can muster.Juxtaposition is a slower groovy effort with meandering chords, trademark fizzy percussion and topped off with a lush string finale.Whatever Comes to Mind rounds off the EP with a rolling percussive bassline, delicate arps and smooth sweeping pads.

Maurizio Martinucci (aka TeZ) is being warmly welcomed back into the Frigio fold. Following his work with Most Significant Beat, a partnership with Saverio Evangelista of Esplendor Geometrico, this Italian artist, and member of Clock DVA since 2010, is flying solo on new wings: Pragma.Martinucci examines, scrutinises and magnifies mechanics. And under such inspection all things change. Drums blossom into serrating melodies. Snares, hi hats, toms blur into one as they are distilled into a heady brew. At times this reduction is sour and sharp, as in the cruel cud of 'Ospel', at others its strangely smooth like in 'Dusk.' The lines that divide electronics and techno all but disappear, dissolved into insignificance under Pragma ´s barren palette. 'Espex' is stripped. Percussion is dipped in distortion, bass bleached by hiss as the reductionist manifesto is applied. An artist cut from the same caustic clothe closes.Arturo Lanz of Esplendor Geometrico amplifies the fuzz and static of 'Espex', shaving away all decoration to leave all but a harrowing husk of cables, wires and pain.

HPLS 002 sees the concept unfold a little bit more by showcasing six of the different collaborations featured on the forthcoming releases. The highlight would be indeed the collaboration with all time favourite ,and Fabric DA , Craig Richards.

The result captured perfectly the mind bending essence that you usually encounter in his early morning or after party sets .Tracks with Volkan Akin , Josh Tweek and Jesse Morrison will fit perfectly in more conventional narratives , when the live saxophone from Yonatan Yudkovitz compliment a more down tempo and experimental exercise.

Ron Bacardi joins RNT with a 4-track inferno of disco edit heat! The A-side races out of the gate with the galloping 'Back For More,' followed by the soulful bounce of 'Circles,' which loops a gritty guitar-driven hook to perfection. The B side kicks off with 'Music Play,' an easy-breezy synth-string, electric piano, and horn-laden affair. Swirling percussion and soaring falsettos take us home on 'Never Dance,'but don't get it twisted: with Señor Bacardi at the controls, dance you WILL!

Few artists have created a body of work as rich and varied as Prince. With each album he released, Prince has shown remarkable stylistic growth and musical diversity, constantly experimenting with different sounds, textures, and genres. Occasionally, his music can be maddeningly inconsistent because of this eclecticism, but his experiments frequently succeed, no other contemporary artist can blend so many diverse styles into a cohesive whole.

A hotline to the gods! Kagura is a thousand-year-old form of Japanese Shinto sacred music and dance, accompanying the chanting of myths; the word "kagura" can be translated as "god-entertainment". Passed down over countless generations, the music is rare and recordings even rarer. Shigeo Tanaka was a master of the yumi (bow), an uncommon single-string percussion instrument, which is a true bow: arrows are fired off at the end of each ceremony to fend off evil sprits. The instrument is difficult to play; it's hard to draw out the proper sound and maintain the rhythm.
Yumi kagura is the oldest of all the various forms of kagura. The Tanaka family, based in rural Joge-cho, Hiroshima prefecture, has passed down this yumi kagura tradition for hundreds of years; this lineage continues to this day in the person of his daughter Ritsuko Tanaka. The Joge-cho yumi kagura, which prays for family well-being, bountiful crops and good fortune, was designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property in 1971. The piece featured here, "Takusa saimon", based on the myth "Ama no iwato" (The Rocky Celestial Cave), is mesmeric, reaching back across ages to the time before time, with Tanaka's voice and yumi, accompanied by flute and metal percussion, drawing us closer to the primal activities of the gods. Listeners may find affinities with aspects of musics as diverse as German electronic minimalism like E2-E4, certain Ethiopian music, "spiritual jazz" and more, all tapping into the deep root of forever. Previously available only on a ridiculously obscure 1990 cassette release, Yumi kagura is the first collaborative release by EM Records and Riyo Mountains, a Japanese folk song research team. Available on LP and CD, with the CD featuring a bonus track: "Inagahachiman jinja yumi kagura hono" recorded in 2016 by Tanaka's daughter and successor Ritsuko Tanaka.

A real rarity! 1977's "Stepping Out" by obscure Oliver Sain produced Funk/Soul outfit The 13th Floor has always been a tough LP to catch, the only release by this lesser known St.Louis outfit showcased a unique blend of jazz, funk and soul that has intrigued hardcore collectors of rare grooves and black music since it's release. Released on the highly collectable Blue Candle sub label of Miami's TK Disco empire, "Stepping Out" features lots of different musical flavours - from the languid, Ohio Players-esque "Hang loose" and the incessant mid-tempo burner "Leanin" to the dance-floor groove of "Sweet thang", the LP showcases across it's 9 tracks show a band at the top of it's game, completely in tune with each other and firmly in the pocket. This should be no surprise when you consider the opening track of the album is co-written by a young Chaka Khan and members of the band went on to form parts of her band Rufus and played alongside artists such as Patti Austin, Maxayn Lewis, Ronnie McNeir and High Voltage. The overall feel of the album is one of amazing musicians keeping it gritty, soulful and most of all, funky! This album has always demanded high prices on the second hand / used vinyl market and is a truly lesser spotted gem, which is surprising considering the eye catching sleeve artwork!
This is the first time that The 13th Floor's "Stepping Out" has been reissued on vinyl, fully remastered from TK's original tapes, represented the way the the LP was issued in 1977 with all original cover and label artworks intact. Now, almost 40 years after it's original release the album has now been made available again for 2016, fully licensed in conjunction and with the full permission of Henry Stone music / TK Disco, Miami, FL.

Awa Poulo is a singer of Peulh origin from Dilly commune, Mali, near the border with Mauritania. Largely pastoral and often nomadic, Peulh- (or Fula-)speaking peoples are found from Senegal to Ethiopia but predominate in the Sahel region of West Africa. Awesome Tapes From Africa is proud to release Poulo's newest recording of highly virtuosic folk-pop, fresh from the studio, broadcasting her vision of Peulh music beyond the grazing grounds and central markets of her remote home region in southwestern Mali. It's not very common to find a female singer performing publicly among the Peulh. But Poulo's mother's co-wife is Inna Baba Coulibaly, who is a celebrated singer most Malian music fans know. Coulibaly herself was brought into music by forces outside her control when a regional music contest required an entry from her village and she was chosen to be a singer. So, set in motion by a surprising series of events, young Poulo's entree into the music world was auspic ious as she gained popularity across the region. After several locally released tapes and CDs, this record is Poulo's first internationally-distributed record. On Poulo Warali, she and her band combine the hallmarks of Peulh music—warm flute floating over cross-rhythmic n'goni (lute) riffs and resonant calabash gourd hand percussion—with broader Malian sounds like lightly-distorted guitar and a heavier, rollicking inertia. Shapeshifting layers of rhythm and woody overtones match Poulo's commanding voice in a jocular yet deliberate dance. This is a relatively rare example of Malian Peulh music played in a modern, cosmopolitan context, reflecting the mixed society of Dilly, where Bambara, Soninke and Peulh-speaking people live among each other. Poulo's conscious lyrics about community concerns speak to the distinctive identity of her broadly-flung people. While Peulh represents less than 10% of Mali's melting pot of languages, the dynamic music here powerfully resonates well beyond the linguistic borders.

LumièresLaNuit is glad to welcome back French Berlin-based music producer and live performer Roisner. One year after his Piano
Roll EP (LLN003) that was released on the occasion of LumièresLaNuit's I anniversary, Roisner delivers this time a more dance floor-
driven EP while keeping some basic components that make his Piano Roll release so poignant and touching.
On the A side, Interstellar is a collaboration between Roisner and the French artist Sibéri. Interstellar is a journey that starts as
an invitation into a meditation state of mind, then slowly the rhythm takeover the pad, the kick and an other layer of percussions
bring you "back to earth".
Then, the B-side opens with Comet that proposes here a more dance floor mood with strong linear rhythms and dreamy melodies.
The gripping sub-bass line is the result of experimenting a patch of the modular system. Finally, the EP concludes with Shooting
Star, a rather mind-blowing and rocking song with a soft melody. Shooting Star remembers us directly of Roisner's Piano Rool, a
poignant and gut-wrenching track.

TS07 is the 4th EP of the TONE SERIES project and in line with the previous three releases TS08, -09 and -10. However, while MACHINE DREAM freezes you up with its winter grooves whilst on your way to the club, KEEP THE BOMB warms you up as soon as you get inside. Whereas MACHINE DREAM unveals shamanik percussions driving a tribal acid vibe with a big amount of pads that make the track ramping crescendo up, KEEP THE BOMB establishes itself as a major dance floor tune with its killer beast, cruising vibe and staccato voice percussion. With regard to the artwork, as shown on the cover, each track has its own colour. There is neither a A nor a B-side. The same applies to the record vinyl itself. Each track stands on it own. As a result, MACHINE DREAM and KEEP THE BOMB distinguish themselves from each other through their vibes and colours, although they remain in the same spirit. Truus de Groots return to her Plus Instruments project after a 30 years break saw the label pick up her off-kilter House roller, Love Is Enough for one of our (e)special remixing packages. Here then, we turn out attention to everyones favourite, the Dubs. Starting with label mainframe, Jamie Paton, his Cloudy Dub-Out pulls his mix through modular prisms for heads down basement rumble. Echo chamber vocals, twisted syncopations and a bass to breakdown walls, this is Patons true calling - dub to get lost in and rightful to kick off the EP. Next guest remixer de jour, Luke Solomon stays close to his original bumpin remix, warping the vocal with skatntrippin wonk, all atop a funk bass line and riding shuffle percussion. Cha cha cha. On the flip, Khidja triumph again with a tougher version. Not a straight up dub of their remix, this pushes a nod to colder (wave) vibes, with industrial percussion riding high on their trademark production. Hard kick atop refrained synths, growing out of Eastern protoid routes to glimpse their future. Finally, mystery man Alphonse comes in from the dark to close with a killer breaks inspired dub. Utilising the originals bass with an angular break, the intricate cut up percussion, Theremin and vocals all glide, keeping the head and feet (jazz) dancing for some (free) party sound system love. Now after received a wave of icredible feedback from "Alcatraz", the bird returns to ARAS with a bunch of remixes of the hypnotic track "Mathilda". Time to welcome Mike Shannon and Jacek Sienkiewicz to the ARAS family. This remixes will be a blast at the club by its very deep and reduced, futuristic interpretations. Mike, as head A&R of Cynosure and formerly Revolver Canada Recordings over 10 years, has shown an uncanny ability to select and produce tracks which have become go-to fixtures in the sets of the industry's best DJs. Far from pursuing the next one hit wonder or sound of the season, his steadfast curatorial vision and passion for the music have earned him the trust of discerning music connoisseurs the world over. Alongside DeWalta, Mike impressed lately with his album "Residual" on Cynosure/ meander back in March 2016. Jacek Sienkiewicz lives in Warsaw and he is a key figure in Polish electronic music scene. He holds Recognition since 1999, one famous label based in Berlin. With one foot deep in classic Detroit and Chicago dance scene, and the other in modern jazz and classical music, Jacek's tracks for the past ten years always try to find a right balance between the avant-garde and dancefloor, between primal emotions and highly sophisticated sonic wizardry. His latest album "Hideland" has been released in August 2016 on Recognition.

Limited edition remastered LP of an unknown group from Venezuela : Grupo Almendra, they released only one Album in 1978 today very hard to find containing a powerful mix of jazz latin funk and cosmic disco. Each song is unique!

The artist described the EP as being inspired by many of the heavy concepts that have been concurrent in his life during the process of making the tracks. The sounds have adopted elements of the music that have been experienced during his trips to play out in Berlin's unique music scene. Key to the penning of the tracks are the loss of distinctive sounds, expressive emotion and unparalleled feeling that was once so prevalent in the many of the lesser known and iconic works produced in the earlier years of House music. Channeling the desire to bring back what has been missing in today's formulaic music production design, Traela hopes to find the listeners once again looking inside the content of the music. Finding the emotional substance displayed through healing and the release of lost love, Traela's message on the making of this release: " Many ideas were prevalent during the process of the EP but the most important during this exercise was finding yourself, learning to express and learning to love yourself in order to love others'.

Clemens K. is taking us on a journey from brazil-infused downtempo over heavy jungle rhythms to psychdelic disco and soul. Dorado (Downpitch) created a remarkable reinterpretation of the Intro Track "Estate" that is opening up the clouds to 80s space. Photographer Carolina Pimenta has created limited edition art prints for the EP, that will be available at the release party in Lisbon as well as in selected partner stores.

Michigan artist John Beltran's 13th studio album and 3rd on Delsin is his most complete and personal work yet. Written largely on modular synthesizers for the first time, it melts 90s intelligent techno with post rock and ambient with leftfield downtempo. The seventeen tracks draw on his expert knack for sound design; for melody and atmosphere and make for yet another hugely absorbing affair.

It is extremely difficult to detect an 'Extrasolar Moon' and this analog dub techno cut has been proved to be as close to the free-floating planet as possible. Its bassline-driven raw jacking acid techno is perfectly aligned with grad_u's signature heavily echoed dub, and the only thing that protects one from escaping the orbit is flipping to side B. There one'll find yet another 10+ minutes of goosebumps, this time erected by 'Geomagnetic Storm', a pure and emotionally vigorous dubbed out bomb.

The 12" from Redscale is an ultimate equity between the outer space of a dancefloor and the inner self of the mind. Last but by no means least is the fact it has been mastered at the legendary Dubplates & Mastering in Berlin.

Moving across the dynamics of feelings and rythms of matter, Oltrarno Recordings presents 'Observing Organic Structures', a mini LP produced from the duo Raccoglimento Parziale.
The breath of analog machines tarnishes the infinite mirrors of possibilities. Our duo wants us to absorb their work not only with the ears, but through all our pores. Attention becomes our antenna.
To refine this package, long time friend of the duo Spacetravel, who just released his debut double-EP on Perlon, elaborates his personal view with a full galloping remix.
