“Coffee & Clouds” EP is the latest release from Sam Hutton and Al
Wreaves AKA South-London soul duo fika, collaborating with songwriter, vocalist and artist Bambie.

Co- produced by Berlin- based producer Fabich, the EP features previous singles “How Can I Love? (When I Can’t Get Away From You)” and “Love Like Mine” which have seen the duo garner support from the likes of Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1), Jamz Supernova (BBC Radio 1Xtra), Jess Iszatt (BBC London Introducing), Nabihah Iqbal, El Train, Rob Da Bank (Worldwide FM), Stereofox, Mystic Sons and
IGGY Magazine. Stemming from a two-day session between fika and Bambie, the “Coffee & Clouds” EP was co-produced by Berlin-based producer Fabich. The EP expertly balances nuanced musicality with generously open song writing. fika’s ever-growing community of collaborators and irresistible releases has seen them perform at the legendary Ronnie Scott’sand garner support from BBC presenters
Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1), Jess Iszatt and Abbie Mac (BBC Radio Kent) and from the wider radio community including Jyoty (Rinse FM) and El Train (Soho Radio).

At the end of 2021, they will be appearing at The Jazz Café alongside BBC Radio 1’s Victoria Jane, Raquel Martins, Ruby Francisand Kara Marni. The duo have also seen press and online support from the likes of TRENCH, Indie Shuffle, Notion, Acid Stag, Beautiful Buzz, Somewhere Soul and Discobelle. A project born out of collaborative joy and mutual admiration; the “Coffee & Clouds” EP is set to further
cement fika’s place as a one- to- watch in the realms of Neo- Soul, Hip Hop and Contemporary RnB.

Episode 4 of the Baroque Sunburst saga features Belgrade Ambassador Zarko Komar - aka Feloneezy - whose personal and intimate Uptempo production-style has previously found a home on Hyperdub.

"Axis to Axis" is a four-tracker that goes hard on resampling, blending Jungle and Juke with field recordings. The EP captures us in a hypnotic psychedelia, lubricated by moments of Dub and Jazz, with the unexpected fragments of vocals interrupting to drag the listener back to Earth.

Brooklyn-based duo Julian Duron and Michael Sherburn are Earth Boys, connoisseurs of heady house music that warms you with soft summer heat. Returning to Shall Not Fade after the success of their sellout LP Earth Tones last year, Automatic EP continues the Bristol label's new Classic Cuts series. It beautifully blends jazz instrumentation with deep house energy, creating sophisticated and unique dance music.

The title track is absolutely not to be missed - it's something a little different from the duo, centralising completely infectious vocals that are guaranteed to circulate your head for hours, a clean cut hit. Jazz sax meanders over the laidback house beat and into the next track "Okokok," which nods to Middle Eastern disco, this time the sax solos pair with a throbbing acid bassline. This acidic edge is brought to the forefront in the hard hitting business of "Revolution 420", a rave ready number infused with laser cut synths and dreamy pads.

Floating flute samples bring in the B side, the hazey natural breaks but disco influenced bassline making "Hush" both muted and danceable. Earth Boys bring master house producer JT Donaldson on board for the closing track, a sound soaked with funk n soul influence in its chunky slap bass and crooning female vocals. "Love Got You" winds the EP to a close with style - both cool and romantic, understated and glittering with character.

Previously unissued 1999 live set from Alex Chilton (The Box Tops/Big Star) and Hi Rhythm Section Hi Rhythm Section has performed on seminal recordings from Ann Peebles, Ike & Tina Turner, O. V. Wright, Otis Clay, and Al Green Packaging contains liner notes from Memphis Mayhem author and Producer David Less “I never saw him have so much fun on stage. Without rehearsal, Alex called songs and the band locked in. The horn section consists of top Memphis session guys who huddled together when each song was called creating parts on the fly. The pure joy of playing this music so freely with such legendary musicians comes across in every groove of the record.” —David Less, from his liner notes Memphis is a city with music in its blood. When Fred Ford, co-founder of the Beale Street Music Festival, was diagnosed with cancer, David Less organized Fredstock, a fund raiser to help with his medical bills. Less contacted Memphis legend Alex Chilton (The Box Tops, Big Star), who was living in New Orleans, to ask him to participate. Alex said he didn’t have any musicians to play with in Memphis, so Less suggested the Hi Rhythm Section (the band behind classics from artists including Ann Peebles, Ike & Tina Turner, O. V. Wright, Otis Clay, and Al Green). Alex replied, “That will work.” This previously unissued live set contains versions of soul classics from The Supremes and Otis Clay, rock numbers from Chuck Berry and Little Richard, and even a cover of the KC & The Sunshine Band title track. Peter Green’s genius has its main roots in musical influences from a chidlhood spent in London’s working class East End.

This intense collection features several of his best successes with the 1968-70 Fleetwood Mac — before their move torwards pop stardom – and some interesting

tunes from his tormented solo career throughout the 70s and the 80s.

Eternal Tears of Sorrow's long career kicked off with the more thrash metalish debut album in 1997, but it was on the 1998 follow-up Vilda Mánnu ("Wild Moon" in the Sami language of indigenous Lapplandish people) that the band really carved their own niche amid the crowded metal scene. Hailing from Finnish Lappland, ETOS are best known for well-crafted, fierce but melancholic melodic death metal with symphonic overtones, of which this album, their Spinefarm Records debut, is a prime example. This pressing comes in a gatefold sleeve and has been carefully remastered for vinyl.

Recorded in 2011 in a dusty, beloved barn, ‘Even Your Drums Will Die’ is a time machine, a real one, to a moment packed thick with Richard Swift’s singular, crackling liveliness. Where Swift’s studio recordings are marked by texture, tone and mood, ‘Even Your Drums Will Die’ puts a spotlight on Swift’s voice, his lyrics and his songwriting.
Running through all of Swift’s tunes is a certain agitation - a fidgetiness, a restlessness. It’s clearer than ever now, over two years after Swift’s passing, that he used his music to let a little pressure out of his tire. ‘A Song for Milton Feher’ nods to all this, its namesake coming from the professional dancer and director who taught his students to release their “habits of tension.” The song feels like a skeleton key to Swift’s oeuvre, a clear look into the wild wheels spinning inside his big old artist noggin.
On the flipside is ‘Lady Luck’. The classic. The revived ghost of a lost 45 that never existed, or maybe always did, but that only Richard Swift could make real.
If you know these songs, you will find them set alight here. If you don’t, ‘Even Your Drums Will Die’ is an incomparable snapshot of both art and artist. It is a genie, a real one, let loose from the lamp with Richard Swift’s explosive energy, imagination and mischief.

Swift was a celebrated recording artist, collaborator (The Black Keys, The Shins, the Arcs) and producer (Nathaniel Rateliff, Kevin Morby, Guster, Pretenders).

The release consists of dense floor slammers from Bionoid, modular synths enthusiasts based in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Every track is recorded at once during a jam session on analogue setup. They do not bear any signs of 'rave' or 'trance', but the cyclic and raw sound with minimalistic groove typical for Detroit techno.

All these pressed onto a thick 180gm crystal clear tasty piece.

Rian Treanor returns to Planet Mu for his raw and energetic second album "File Under UK Metaplasm". The enigmatic, sweaty energy of Tanzanian singeli and Chicago footwork are juxtaposed with slick, high-def bass weight which sits at the centre of the album. Opening track 'Hypnic Jerks' is the perfect example of this, with crinkled percussive loops cut through by machine-gun kicks and acidic wobbles. Elsewhere, 'Vacuum Angle' takes Sheffield's Warp-ed legacy and brings it crashing into the future, with rhythms collapsing into static and noise but never deconstructing or losing the flow. 'Debouncing' meanwhile folds gliding square synths into rattling dancehall kicks, joining the dots between SND, Equiknoxx and Wiley with a neon Sharpie. "It's using all those formulaic dance structures but just slightly mangled or messed up," he says. "I'm still focused on making dance music for clubs, but how far can you push that before it's just no."

Formed in '92 with voice, distorted bass and drums. Band's symbol comes from a sign placed on witches graves, which is jolly. This is music from the heart and for the heads, pensive and propulsive, loose and liquid, raw and rising. 'One of our biggest inspirations is the Rush Hour films. We're the best Black and Asian duo since those guys.'
