Jeder, der mit dem zähneknirschenden, blutigen Punk-Knurren von Kid Kapichi vertraut ist, kennt ihre „Fearless Nature“, daher sollte es auf den ersten Blick keine Überraschung sein, dass das vierte Album der Band aus Hastings diesen Titel trägt. Der erste veröffentlichte Track, „Stainless Steel“, wird von Frontmann Jack Wilson als Brücke zwischen dem alten und dem neuen Kid Kapichi beschrieben. Mit seiner tödlichen, straffen und kraftvollen Effizienz trägt er zwar eindeutig die Handschrift des klassischen Sounds der Band, aber die Reife seiner Sichtweise und der Mut in seiner Verletzlichkeit sind etwas Neues. Das hört man auf dem gesamten Album „Fearless Nature“, das von Momenten der Selbstzweifel durchzogen ist und von einer Band stammt, die nach Jahren an vorderster Front mutig genug geworden ist, die Einschusslöcher in ihrer Rüstung zu zeigen. „Fearless Nature“ ist auch im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes eine Brücke zu einem neuen Kid Kapichi.

Im Mai 2025 gaben Gitarrist Ben Beetham und Schlagzeuger George Macdonald bekannt, dass sie die Band verlassen würden – eine Entscheidung, die sie bereits etwa sechs Monate zuvor intern getroffen hatten. Die Entscheidung fiel einvernehmlich, und „Fearless Nature“ steht an der Schnittstelle zwischen zwei Generationen: Die Songs wurden mit der alten Besetzung geschrieben, aufgenommen und produziert (Co-Produktion: Beetham und Mike Horner), werden nun aber mit der neuen Besetzung auf Tournee gehen. Gitarrist Lee Martin und Schlagzeuger Miles Gill sind beide langjährige Freunde von Wilson und Bassist Eddie Lewis und Veteranen unzähliger hart spielender Bands auf der Live-Szene im Süden Englands.

Die politische Botschaft der Band mag unverändert geblieben sein, aber mit „Fearless Nature”, das ihr Repertoire erweitert, hat sie nun Gesellschaft bekommen. Confessor's genre defying album Unraveled reissued in January Confessor is a progressive doom metal band from North Carolina that made its mark on the underground metal scene in the late 80's by combining some of the genre's essential elements in a way that no band had attempted before. Once dubbed "the world's most obstinately technical metal band", Confessor's technically complex interpretation of traditional doom gained them a reputation also within the progressive metal circles. Their grand sophomore album Unraveled from 2005 will finally be reissued after two decades on January 16th via Svart Records. Following the release of their 1991 debut album, Condemned, Confessor disbanded in 1994 while they were already planning a second album. Sadly, in 2002 the band's guitarist Ivan Colon passed away, and in tribute to Ivan, the band re-formed in order to play a benefit show for him. Things went so well, that they decided to continue after almost a decade apart. Their second full length Unraveled followed in 2005; an immensely satisfying and unique blend of majestic Doom Metal raised to the next level.

Greywind is an Irish emo/alternative rock duo from Killarney, formed by siblings Steph and Paul O’Sullivan. "BEN BEKELE does not exist. At least not the one I'm thinking of.


It's a mix of memories and fantasies from the mid-80s when it was my father who visited Ethiopia, returning with two small drums, a couple of pictures and tons of tales.
One of them was a story of a boy named Bekele, who taught him a traditional Ethiopian song.

Father passed this song on to us, as best as he could - now I'm having doubts as to what the message is actually about - but back then I was fascinated. Many years later, when I was preparing a song for a compilation "Portrety" at U Know Me Records, I realized that the bass line that I created resembled a fragment of that exact song. Apparently the melody buried itself somewhere deep in my subconscious and unexpectedly revealed itself at that moment. Therefore I decided to honor the memory of my deceased of 30 years dad (whose friends called him Ben) naming the composition: "The Life and Death of Ben Bekele". The song turned out to be very happy to me - its success definitely exceeded expectations, while in my head an idea to go further after Ben Bekele began to form.

This time I didn't want to work alone. I invited Kamil Piotrowicz and Igor Wiśniewski to cooperate with me. Incredibly creative, sensitive artists and wonderful companions on stage as well as off it. The music on this album is similar to a small extent to the "founding" piece.
It has however a couple of common features, with focus on the rhythm as the form-forming factor at the forefront. It's also organic, emotional, at times trance-like and illustrative.

I sincerely hope that when listening to this record, for these tens of minutes you'll escape from the surrounding us not-so-pleasant everyday life."

Nearly 40 years ago A.O.A. and OI POLLOI joined forces to condemn what they saw as an Unlimited Genocide. Fast forward to 2025 and nothing has changed for the better, with everybody witnessing a genocide unfolding in front of our eyes daily, while humanity hits rocks bottom. So Sealed Record decided it was the right time to bring back this classic slice of Scottish punks and skins protest music.
Originally released on the ever impressive Children of the Revolution Records Unlimited Genocide features the hardest side of the OI POLLOI vast catalogue. Full of rage and anger, tensely tuneful with earnest anarcho conviction. With A.O.A. On the flip side delivering seven tracks of full in your face hardcore punk, carrying the torch of the DISCHARGE influenced thrash of the era.
The record has a strong 80’s production and touches on green and environmental issues, apartheid, nuclear power, religion, vegetarianism and much more. It’s raw, direct and a great snapshot of an era that is often mimicked but never bettered.
This reissue has been remastered and includes a printed inner sleeve as well as a slightly altered artwork.

"Ensomheden Vi Deler" ("The Loneliness We Share") is the result of a dialogue between the collages and the music of øjeRum, initiated by IIKKI, between December 2024 and July 2025.

øjeRum is Copenhagen based musician and collage artist Paw Grabowski.

With his collages, the distinctive feature of øjeRum's works is their ability to combine different historical and artistic periods, such as ancient sculpture, medieval frescoes, classical painting and photography, and to make them interact with one another. øjeRum is also renowned for his work as a musician, where he stands out for his surreal, mysterious and poetic universe. His music and art are closely linked. These two sides of the artist's work are constantly intertwined.

In his øjeRum guise, he plucks and strums his treated acoustic instruments, sounding at times like church bells, at times like angelic harp, at time like drones, and suspends the listener in the magic of his melodies. With a deep back-catalogue of releases since 2014 - spanning labels such as eilean rec., Room40, Line, Opal Tapes and many more - he continues exploring his minimal, textural and deeply personal style of ambient music.

The collage and music project "Ensomheden Vi Deler" ("The Loneliness We Share") is an exploration of loneliness, closeness and distance. A meditation on the fragile architectures and hidden shapes of human connection. This is his second release on IIKKI.

For this release, we feature three original tracks from Sancturu, an Argentinian artist releasing his first EP in physical format. It also includes a collaboration on the A1 track with vocalist Lourene and a powerful rework by Light Blue File, a close friend of the Error404 team and reowned producer.

"Temporary" entstand im Verlauf von vier Jahren in Russells Londoner Copper House Studio und während einiger zusätzlicher Sessions in Tottenham, Cumbria, Dorset, Los Angeles und Las Vegas Es schließt an die vorangegangenen Releases wie das 2018 für den Mercury Prize nominierte Debüt an. Auf dem neuen Album erfährt Russells musikalische DNA allerdings ein Reboot: Sein Cut & Paste Approach reicht in die Zeit vor Sampling-Helden wie The Bomb Squad und Prince Paul zurück bis hin zu Innovatoren wie Steve Reich, Robert Rauschenberg und William S. Burroughs. Während Russells Musik bislang geprägt war von Rhythmus, Worten und Melodie - in ebendieser Reihenfolge - tauschen zwei Aspekte diesmal ihre Rollen. Der Rhythmus tritt zugunsten der Melodie in den Hintergrund. Musikalisch ist "Temporary" vom Gedankenexperiment "what if folk music had "gone digital" in the 80s, just as reggae had?" geleitet, während sich in spiritueller und lyrischer Hinsicht vieles um Trauer und den Verlust von Freunden, Familienmitgliedern und Kollegen dreht. Im Ergebnis stehen leuchtende und gelassene Kompositionen, auch dank der faszinierenden und vielfältigen Gästeliste, die "Temporary" mitbringt. Die fragilen, zärtlichen und stillen Tracks liefern vielleicht eines der sanftesten Alben, die je über den Tod geschrieben wurden. "Das Album zu machen, war erfüllend, eine Art, das Leben zu heiligen", so Russell. "Temporary" ist die erste reguläre Veröffentlichung von Everything Is Recorded nach über vier Jahren. In der Zwischenzeit war Russell allerdings nicht untätig. Obwohl sie ständig zu arm sind, um abgezockte Biere in den letzten Kaschemmen zu trinken, fällt es HOLGRAMS aus Stockholm so gar nicht schwer, das Gift im Strahl auszukotzen. Ihr saures Aufstoßen geht wohl mehr auf das Unwohlsein zurück, das wohl eher von der Knechtschaft in schwedischen Lagerhäusern resultiert denn aus dem Alkoholmissbrauch, was es auch spannender macht, durch die Reste zu wühlen. Obwohl ihre Instrumente am untersten Rand des Existenzminimums vegetieren (und zusammen vielleicht ein Handvoll Kronen wert sind), strahlt aus HOLOGRAMS eine fast unverschämte Energie. Ihr Sound vermählt die Plackerei des täglichen Lebens mit der Lust auf etwas Besseres und erinnert dabei an die aggressive Katharsis des Punk sowie an den elektronischen Schimmer des New Wave der frühen 80er. Ihr Sound ist viel zu weitläufig für die staubigen Bürgersteige und die leeren Straßen von Stockholm, was doch die perfekte Einladung dazu ist, uns zusammen noch ein wenig mehr zu betrinken.

The album long sought after by Mountain Goats fans is finally back in print and features new liner notes by John Darnielle. Released on the precipice of the Mountain Goats' breakout albums All Hail West Texas and Tallahassee, The Coroner's Gambit is an introspective epic that stands as one of Darnielle's best outings in any era.Darnielle on The Coroner's Gambit:There are few records in the Mountain Goats catalog that are closer to my heart than The Coroner's Gambit. It bears a sonic thumbprint shared by none of its brethren (Panasonic RX-FT500, Marantz PMD-222, and sessions in Omaha probably recorded to a Tascam Porta-One) and while two of those sources appear on several later releases, none of the other records really sound like it. Although it contains exactly no autobiographical songs, it feels personal to me_intimate, diaristic. I have vivid memories of the songs I wrote and recorded in Colo, and foggy memories of the Greyhound trip to and from Omaha. I was taking Greyhounds across Midwestern state lines to record songs with friends when I made The Coroner's Gambit, is what I'm saying. You can maybe hear the exhaust of the Greyhound in the songs if you listen close.

Das Album "SANGUIVORE" hat Creepers ohnehin schon überlebensgroße Ambitionen auf neue Höhen geführt, was zu den positivsten Kritiken ihrer Karriere führte und in ihrem ersten Headliner-Konzert in der OVO Wembley Arena in London gipfelte. Historisch gesehen schließt die Band am Ende einer Creeper-Ära den Sargdeckel, um sich erneut neu zu erfinden. Doch dieses Mal trotzt die fünfköpfige Band den Erwartungen, indem sie das kreative Universum des Vorgängeralbums erweitert und am 31. Oktober mit "Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death" aufs Neue ins Vampir-Universum eintaucht.

"Sanguivore II: Misstress Of Death" ist eher eine thematische Fortsetzung als eine direkte Weiterführung der ursprünglichen Geschichte. Wie eine klassische Horror-Anthologie spinnt es eine neue Geschichte aus derselben Blutlinie wie das Original, diesmal mit dem blutigen Vampirherz als roter Faden, um eine brandneue Erzählung einzuführen.
Die Geschichte führt uns zurück in die moralische Hysterie der Satanic Panic und ihre Auswirkungen auf die Welt des Hardrock und Heavy Metal der 80er Jahre. Es war eine Zeit, in der der verstorbene Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne und Judas Priest von Gerichtsverfahren verfolgt wurden. Iron Maiden spielte tief im Herzen Amerikas, während W.A.S.P. und Mötley Crüe mit ihrer skandalösen Theatralik und Dekadenz die Gemüter der Konservativen erhitzten.

Wie schon das Original wurde auch "Sanguivore II" von Tom Dalgety (Ghost, Rammstein, Royal Blood) produziert.
