NEW RELEASE FROM THE TRIP 'CLUBDANCE 2025'

The Trip return for their first solo release of the year with four brand new summer tracks. As always they take inspiration from 90's and 00's house music, with each track covering a different corner of the dance floor. The new EP launches on their in-house label Tessellate in September 2025.

Cultivated Electronics Ltd For The Floor series began in 2022 and features split EPs available on vinyl (only) with Electro tracks aimed strictly at the dance floor, bringing together CE regulars and new artists. Volume 5 features Umwelt on the A- side and DJ MELL G x Unklevon on the flip, as well as a remix by label head, Sync 24 alongside Controlled Weirdness. New Flesh founder, Umwelt is known for his dark, industrial-leaning techno that blends dystopian atmospheres with driving rhythms. Here, the French producer delivers two hard-hitting cuts in Memoryscape & Morphing Sequence to open the EP. DJ MELL G from Juicy Gang Records brings a raw, high-energy fusion of electro, breakbeat and techno; fast paced and with bold sound design. She teams up with Unklevon who produces sleek, futuristic electro with crisp drum programming most notably for Boysnoize Records, on Get Down. While Sync 24 & Controlled Weirdness close out the EP with their tough and wonky rework.

The latest edition in the Summer Sampler series offers 12 tracks from an assortment of global artists who are all connected by their chilled-out styles.

After the stunning re-release of Eminesence in March, Vince Watson recruits 3 of Deep House’s legendary artists to give their interpretations on this modern classic. First up is Cee ElAssaad with a spiritual journey into the finest house music around, endless solo’s and the type of track you will hear in Claussell, Trent of Vega’s sets. After this. the magician Atjazz with his typical chunky bass and dubby vibes, the perfect dub version of this piano track. Renascent' marks the long-awaited return of legendary Manchester outfit The Durutti Column, their first new studio album in over fifteen years, produced by Keir Stewart.
Around the guitar work of Vini Reilly, the album plays between sonic atmospherics and structure: warm ambient washes, piano, beats and guest vocal turns by a new generation (Caoilfhionn Rose on " Agonistes" and Lucas Elliot on CD bonus track "All they See is Fire ).
Both contemporary and otherworldly, and with a swathe of new champions citing the band as an influence (Blood Orange, Harry Styles, The Avalanches, Mark William Lewis), 'Renascent' is a timely and vital rebirth for The Durutti Column.

As WARNING prepares to release Rituals of Shame - their first new music in twenty years,vocalist/guitarist Patrick Walker is self-effacing about what led to this moment. Over the last two decades he continued to write and release music, satisfied that he had achieved what he set out to do with WARNING. In those intervening years, interest in WARNING swelled, organically gathering an ardent fanbase. In particular, the 2006 album, Watching from a Distance, has gained a cult following. In response to a transformative period in his life, Walker turned towards writing new songs, and it soon became apparent that these belonged to WARNING. In early January 2025, he started with a completely blank canvas, and piece by piece, he started to fill it with ideas that evolved to become the songs that make up Rituals of Shame.

His immersion in the project became a full-time pursuit. After successfully demoing the five songs, Walker retreated to a remote house on a hill outside Florence, Italy, to refine the lyrics. Recording took place at The Arch Studio, a 140-year-old former church in Southport, UK. Chris Fullard (Idles, Sunn O))), Ulver) handled the recording and mixing. Walker's lifelong musical inspirations can be traced through Rituals of Shame. The ambitious structural arrangements harken to Marillion’s complex but soaring episodic songs. They retain a sparsity that is reminiscent of June Tabor’s economic arrangements; thick with melody but with a diaphanous air to them. Citing John Brenner of Revelation as an enduring inspiration, Patrick credits him with introducing the idea of how to infuse heavy music with significant emotional depth. Often reluctant to discuss the minutiae of his lyrics, Walker does acknowledge that making this album was a direct response to the immediate concerns of his current life period. Rituals of Shame also echoes the enduring themes and fixations that have marked most of his work: guilt, shame, personal failure, obsession, longing, and separation, but, most of all, he says, love. Originally released in 1991 on Ron Allen and Hayden Andre’s cult label Strobe Records, ...The Second Phase... contains three tracks ranging from deep house to garage passing through rave vibes. This reissue brings back an all time classic for the underground clubs.

Quantum Vacuum /ˈkwɒn.təm ˈvæk.juːm/ — The fundamental state of a quantum system, corresponding to the lowest possible energy level, in which no real particles are present but fluctuations of quantum fields persist, making the vacuum a dynamic state that is never completely empty.

Abo Abo’s first solo vinyl EP carefully assembles minimalistic techno structures pushed at pace, sci-fi rhythmic mutations and psychedelic pressure that refuse resolution. Synthetic sweeps rise and vanish, environments where form appears only to disappear. Nothing is static. Nothing is empty. Microscopic movements surface continuously from apparent void.
DR018 marks the eighteenth release on DE RIO and the label’s sixth vinyl output.
