La Dispute is an American post-hardcore band formed in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2004. The band consists of vocalist Jordan Dreyer, guitarist Chad Sterenberg, drummer Brad Vander Lugt, bassist Adam Vass, and guitarist Corey Stroffolino. Known for their intense and emotionally charged sound La Dispute has released five studio albums to critical acclaim, including “Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair” (2008), “Wildlife” (2011), and “Panorama” (2019). Their music often explores themes of loss, grief, and human relationships through a series of interconnencted stories. La Dispute has developed a devoted fanbase and is known for the powerful, unforgettable live performances.

"Amazzonia" was written, arranged, produced, and recorded by Alex Puddu, who plays all the instruments on the album himself. He was assisted by two of the best bassists on the Italian nu-disco and Balearic scene: Domenico Andria—who has played with Pellegrino/Zodyaco and worked closely with Alex Puddu on several releases—and Daniele Labbate, who has performed as a session bassist for artists including Nu Genea and Mystic Jungle.

Decades into his prolifc career, though, Andriano is just as in love with the process as he was in those early days of sweaty clubs and cramped vans.

On Andriano's new Epitaph Records album, Dear Darkness, that unceasing passion is evident on this solo, self- produced project, which follows his 2015 release (as Dan Andriano in the Emergency Room) Party Adjacent, fnds Andriano venturing into deeply personal lyrical territory while also pushing the limits of just what his unclassifable sound can be.

Die ultrararen Home Recordings sind eine Mischung aus Spoken Word, Folk und Gospel, die direkt auf Kassette aufgenommen wurden und von FRIERSONs religiöser Kindheit und seiner Karriere im Musikbusiness beeinflusst sind, die 1970 jäh unterbrochen wurde, als er als Soldat nach Vietnam gesendet wurde. Die Tapes waren nicht weit gekommen: ursprünglich wurden sie in Eckläden und auf Musikfesten in der Umgebung von Memphis verkauft, wo FRIERSON weiterhin auftrat und eine Gospel-Radiosendung moderierte, während er hauptberuflich als Mechaniker, Hilfsarbeiter und Lehrer arbeitete. Die sieben Songs auf ,Have You Been Good To Yourself" sind offenkundig religiös; einige, so wie ,Out Here On Our World", sind durchdringend und eindringlich; andere, wie das selbstkritische ,Have You Been Good To Yourself" sind eher meditativ. Plants Dub is an art project of the homonym collective based in Lecce - Italy formed by Maria Teresa Santoro, art historian and light designer, Francesco Andriani De Vito aka Dubin dj and producer, and Andrea Presicce aka NoFinger Nails, dub master and producer. They work in Plants Dub project in a mutual exchange of skills so as to be able to research in a way where art and science has no borders. Plants Dub connects electronic music and bio-acoustic researches. Through samplings and synthesizers Plants Dub produces an inter-species communication in order to form a complete human-plant audio exchange. The album was composed using melodies generated by plants thanks to a special sound device that allowed the translation of the plants' electrical impulses into sound. Plant sounds were recorded between March 2018 and July 2019 in Salento. The musical production has followed a double register: in Acanthus Mollis, Morus and in Phoenix Canariensis the vegetable melodies overlap to specially composed dub rhythms, in Laurus Nobilis, Olea Europaea and in Quercus, the tree melodies are translated into ambient sounds.

The era paved the way for many of the household names of Malagasy music today including Jaojoby, D'Gary and Lego.
