Those Once Loyal is the eighth and final album by the British death metal band Bolt Thrower. It was released on 11 November 2005 in Germany, 14 November 2005 in the rest of Europe and 15 November 2005 in the United States by Metal Blade Records. It was recorded and mixed at Sable Rose Studios in Coventry, England. It is produced by the band and Andy Faulkner. With Bolt Thrower deciding against releasing a follow-up to Those Once Loyal, it was Bolt Thrower's final studio album before breaking up a year after drummer Martin Kearns' death in September 2015. Like all of Bolt Thrower's albums, Those Once Loyal deals with war, specifically World War I. The cover shows a World War 1 QF 18 pounder field gun and its crew in action and is based on an original WW1 photograph. The picture is also found on the back side of the Guards Memorial in St James's Park in London.

Mercenary is the sixth album by the British death metal band Bolt Thrower. It was recorded at Chapel Studios, Lincoln, England, December 1997 to January 1998. The album was produced by Bolt Thrower and Ewan Davis. It was released on Metal Blade Records in 1998. The cover painting is titled "Contact – Wait Out", which is also the first track on the next album, "Honour – Valour – Pride".

The new album “Rust and Bones” of the german Death Metal institution MY DARKEST HATE will be released on November 7, 2025. It sounds like a perfect cross-section of the band‘s previous work and contains 10 new songs. The album was produced by the band and Andy Classen (Legion of the Damned, Krisiun, ...), who was also responsible for mixing and mastering! Last Retch is a death metal band hailing from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. UK death metal gods Cancer burst onto the UK extreme metal scene over thirty five years ago, & quickly amassed a strong global following over the course of their early careers which later resulted in a stint with major label EastWest under Warner Music. After a period of inactivity, Cancer returned for 2018's Peaceville debut, 'Shadow Gripped', followed up by 2025's new opus, 'Inverted World'. 'To The Gory End' was Cancer's debut studio album & was released in 1990. Along with sophomore opus 'Death Shall Rise', 'To The Gory End' became a firm genre classic with its influential display of sonic savagery containing fittingly shocking topics to match.

The album swiftly established Cancer as one of the highlights of the rising UK death metal scene alongside such bands as Bolt Thrower & Carcass. 'To The Gory End' was recorded at Loco Studios in the winter of 1989, with legendary producer Scott Burns (Death, Obituary, Sepultura) overseeing the recording & also mixing duties, which subsequently took place at Morrisound in Florida, itself synonymous with the creation of many classics of the genre. The album also notably features a guest appearance by John Tardy of Obituary on the track 'Die Die'. This edition of 'To The Gory End' marks the album's 35th anniversary & is presented on limited red galaxy vinyl.

"Purification Through Sacrifice" is a title that reflects the intent of the band to evolve musically, the themes range, as in the previous chapter, from films to crime news stories through visionary and bloody episodes. This time the sound is further enriched with technique and violence while remaining faithful to old school death metal.

Das Doom-Kommando um die Sängerin Kat entwickelt sich deutlich weiter und kann den Vorgänger "Incantation Rites" noch toppen. Die epischen Texte tun ihr Übriges, auch die Vocals sind noch eine Stufe vielseitiger als bisher. Als Gast stößt beim Song ""Sacrosanct Grounds"" Daniel Kaufman (ex Mindrot, ex Dystopia, ex Eyes of Fire, Destroy Judas) an den Vocals hinzu.

Asinhell ist eine Band, kein Nebenprojekt. Vor Volbeat hieß Michaels Metalband Dominus, mit Morten Toft Hansen, ebenfalls aus Ringsted, am Schlagzeug. Michael war Dominus' Leadsänger, Booker, Manager und Buchhalter. Als Poulsen Songs für das Volbeat-Album 2021, Servant of the Mind, zusammenstellte, schrieb er eine Reihe von Death-Metal-Riffs. Als er mit dem Volbeat-Album fertig war, begann er, Songs für seine neue Death-Metal-Band Asinhell zu schreiben, deren Debütalbum Impii Hora (lateinisch für Ungodly Hour) eine Hommage an Poulsens Lieblingsgruppen der alten Schule ist. Die Songs basieren auf krachenden Riffs, sind jedoch mit starken Gitarrenhooks und Shout-Along-Refrains versehen. "Bands wie Death, Entombed, Bolt Thrower, Autopsy, Dismember, Grave, Mercyful Fate, Possessed und andere Bands der alten Schule sind der Grund, warum wir das überhaupt machen können", sagt Poulsen. Obwohl er stolz darauf ist, seine Einflüsse auf seinen Ärmeln zu tragen, hat Asinhell seine eigene Identität entwickelt. "Bei Asinhell habe ich versucht, Songs ohne Regeln zu schreiben, aber weil ich so sehr daran gewöhnt war, mit Volbeat zu schreiben, konnte ich nicht wirklich verhindern, dass ich Bridges, Hooks oder eine bestimmte Art von Refrains schrieb", sagt er. "Ich denke, die Kombination aus Old-School-Death-Metal-Riffs mit ein wenig Struktur macht die Songs wirklich stark."

Es gibt nur wenige Bands in der Metal-Szene, die als Pioniere, wahre Wegbereiter und Anführer musikalischer Bewegungen gelten können. Als PANZERCHRIST 1996 mit ihrem Debütalbum "Six Seconds Kill" eine geschwärzte Form des Death Metal in Skandinavien einführten, machten sie sich neben Vader und Bolt Thrower einen Namen unter den Stilpionieren in Europa. Im Laufe der folgenden Jahre hinterließ das dänische Kollektiv ein gutes Dutzend unerbittlicher Alben, die keinen Gegner auf der Strecke ließen und zahllose Truppen in ihre Reihen holten, darunter auch begeisterte Pressevertreter. Leider wurden auch Panzerchrist von Lineup-Schwankungen geplagt, so dass es nach "7th Offensive", das 2013 erschien, ein Jahrzehnt lang still um die Band wurde. Das neue Album "Last Of A Kind", das in den Antfarm Studios aufgenommen und von Tue Madsen produziert
wurde, löst beide Probleme - die Stille im Panzerchrist-Lager und die Lineup-Instabilität - indem es neues Blut mit Erfahrung in der Szene und genug Blutvergießen im Kopf hinzufügt, um ein Album zu machen, das den Namen der Dänen verdient... Und dann noch etwas. Die Wut, die Härte und die Schnelligkeit, die die Seele von Panzerchrist ausmachen, sind hier, unberührt und gekrönt von einem neuen Sinn für Bösartigkeit, verkörpert von Sonja Rosenlund Ahls bösartigen Vocals. Ja, Sir, Panzerchrist sind zurück, aber nicht nur zurück: sie sind zurück mit einer Rache und einer wahnsinnigen Menge an Interessen in Bezug auf die einjährige Schuld, die sie uns schulden!
