//… april 2025… a digital message arrived from shtpan… facing the window in southern italy, near the sea… to process audio data recorded in a neukölln club in berlin… i wasn’t sure about sharing this material as it was… opted for a process of audio transfiguration / layer superposition… four pieces emerged… then these four tracks were layered with memories from the same year’s recording archive… hunting through the record, you can hear the voices of Mohamed Dali Talif on “Materialism” and Dakn داكن on “Surrounded Postponed” and “Walked Uncertainty”…//

The latest report from the SMM0000 record label. A remote
collaboration between Big Hands and Banishsh. A-side: Original
production by Big Hands (Andrea Ottomanni). B-side: two versions by
Banishsh (Simone Guido Izzi). Somewhere between bass-oriented
electronic music, jungle, drum and bass and techno with an
experimental and unusual perspective. The rhythmic pattern of the Aside collides with the sparse, glittering synth arpeggio. Unexpected
narrative paths are layered over repetitive percussive drum sounds.
The B-side versions take the original ideas and turn them into a more
abstract sonic machine, forecasting glitchy rain, micro-tonal shifting
melodies and poly - rhythmic drum sessions

On SMM0000105, Soreab locks into glitchy, percussive dub framework with Ilbiryani, combining tension with intricate rhythmic detail. The original thrives on steady, intentional dub experiments, balancing density and clarity with precision. In contrast, Banishsh completely deconstructs the track into polyrhythmic abstraction. The low end deepens into an almost DnB-weight sub, and the rhythm unravels into something unstable yet narcotic. Where Soreab’s mix defines control, Banishsh finds beauty in disarray. Together, they engage a dialogue between cohesion and entropy — two sides of the same sonic idea, equally substantial in their own language.
