Corn On The Cob
Anorexia

7About the many collaborations between Marco Bellini and Alberto Bertapelle, this is probably the oddest and rarest. Built on a Minimoog bassline that evoked the sound and image of someone eating corn on the cob (that’s where the project’s name came from), the track evolves over a head-nodding breakbeat while a modified TB-303 intervenes with a sick, filtered bassline.
Marco Bellini was in Venezia and went to the studio the day after. With the instruments still plugged in, the samplers loaded, and the levels already set, it felt natural to immediately record a second version arranged by him.
The two tracks were assembled and recorded in one night in 1996 at Madhouse Studio in Mestre (set up in Alberto Bertapelle’s attic), with the help of studio engineers Sandro Viola and Carlo Natale.
The record was released in 1996 and pressed on a 10" vinyl.
