With La Force d’une Ombre – Act I, Davodka returns with an album that places his character at the heart of the metaphor of the shadow.

A discreet shadow, rarely in the light, but always present. It observes, lives, explores, and recounts the world around it, with that lucid, sensitive, and incisive perspective that characterizes Davodka’s writing.

Across the 10 tracks, the artist explores different facets of his world: dreams and disillusionments, memories, everyday life, personal struggles, but also that constant desire to move forward and rise back to the surface.

This album thus traces the journey of an artist who has long preferred to let his lyrics speak for themselves rather than put himself on display.

Always driven by technical, vivid, and straightforward lyrics, Davodka chooses to go it alone and delivers a deeply rap-oriented project, where the shadow is ultimately not an absence of light: it is the vantage point from which he has chosen to observe the world.
