Released in October 1983, “North Of A Miracle” was Nick Heyward’s first solo album after leaving Haircut 100. Produced by Geoff Emerick (The Beatles, Elvis Costello, Badfinger, America, Supertramp and many more), the album features the hit singles “Take That Situation”, “Whistle Down The Wind”, “Blue Hat For A Blue Day” and “On A Sunday”. The album went on to sell over 100,000 copies in the UK, earning a Gold Disc Award.

Deluxe 3CD Edition:
Expanded to a Deluxe 3CD Edition, Disc One features the original album mastered from the original stereo tapes, Disc Two features the various 12” mixes, instrumental versions and non-album B-sides, while Disc Three, entitled “Recordings 1984”, features Nick’s 1984 single releases “Love All Day” and “Warning Sign”, along with the tracks from their accompanying 12” singles. Also featured are three previously unreleased tracks: “Teach Till You Reach” (an unreleased single), “Give Love More Time” (an alternate instrumental version of “Love All Day”), and “Kiss Those Tears Goodbye” (an unfinished recording featuring the backing vocals only). Annotated by author and journalist Daryl Easlea, based on a brand-new interview with Nick Heyward, this 3CD set is presented in Deluxe 7” Packaging, with a 20-page booklet.

Preceded by some of Bolan’s most fondly-remembered singles, “Children Of The Revolution”, “Solid Gold Easy Action” and the classic “20th Century Boy”, 1973’s Tanx was the first T. Rex album to make full use of the ever-expanding range of studio gadgets. And while the album represented a new musical departure, several tracks maintained a direct link to the old sound.

The album reached number 4 in the UK album charts and has gone on to influence numerous musicians from Suede to Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore. This edition includes the complete album remastered by producer Tony Visconti and Ted Jensen.

Demon Records presents, for the first time on double 140g green and
yellow translucent vinyl, the complete narrated TV soundtrack of ‘Doctor
Who: The Crusade’, with linking narration by William Russell.
The TARDIS travellers materialise in 12th Century Palestine, where
English Crusaders are engaged in a holy war with Saladin, ruler of the
Saracens. When Barbara (Jacqueline Hill) is abducted in a Saracen
ambush, the Doctor (William Hartnell), Vicki (Maureen O’Brien) and Ian
(William Russell) find themselves guests at the palace of King Richard
the Lionheart (Julian Glover).
First broadcast in March and April 1965, the story has become a noted
classic among Doctor Who historical adventures, with a guest cast
including Julian Glover and Jean Marsh.
Only two of its four episodes survive in the BBC TV archive, but this vinyl
release features the complete audio soundtrack. Includes beautifully
illustrated individual sleeves featuring Radio Times-style billings for each
episode.
This release is dedicated to the memory of narrator William Russell, who
died in June aged 99.

Im Rahmen unserer fortlaufenden Suede 30-Kampagne wird Demon Records die fünfte, sechste, siebte und achte Single von Suede als sammelwürdige 7inch Picture-Single herausbringen. Die sechste Single der Band erschien am 12. September 1994 und war 'We Are The Pigs'. Der erste Song, der vom sensationellen, zweiten Album 'Dog Man Star' veröffentlicht wurde, wurde von The Times kommentiert: "Angetrieben von einer der besten Riff-Akkordfolgen von Bernard Butler und befeuert von den alptraumhaften Visionen von Brett Andersons Text, stürmt der Song mit einem herrlichen Refrain nach Hause, der altmodischen Mitsing-Charakter mit einer faszinierend finsteren Note verbindet." Die Single erreichte Platz 18 in den britischen Charts. Die B-Seite war 'The Killing Of A Flash Boy'. Dieser Song erschien nicht auf dem Album aber zuletzt Hat Sänger Brett Anderson kommentiert, dass er das Lied im Nachhinein in die Titelliste des Albums aufgenommen hätte. 'Dog Man Star' wird zum 30. Jubiläum am 04.10. als Deluxe-LP und CD erscheinen.

Demon Records präsentiert eine Special 50th Anniversary Edition dieser damals nur in den USA erhältlichen Veröffentlichung von Ende 1974, die ursprünglich auf dem erst ein Jahr zuvor gegründeten Label Casablanca Records (Kiss, Donna Summer etc.) erschien. Marc Bolan und T. Rex hatten in den USA acht Titel aufgenommen, die für die Veröffentlichung auf dem 1975 in Großbritannien erschienenen Album 'Bolan's Zip Gun' bestimmt waren. Das vorherige Album 'Zinc Alloy' war jedoch in den USA noch nicht erschienen, und Bolan wollte unbedingt ein neues Album herausbringen. Also kombinierte 'Light Of Love' die acht neu aufgenommenen Titel mit drei weiteren aus dem 'Zinc Alloy'- Album: 'Teenage Dream', 'Explosive Mouth' und 'Venus Loon'. Zu den neuen Titeln gehörte auch 'Till Dawn', Bolans letzte Zusammenarbeit mit Tony Visconti, der für das Streicherarrangement des Titels verantwortlich war. Gepresst auf orangefarbenem Vinyl und mit Original Artwork sowie Inner Sleeve!

Für 'Love Is' aus dem Jahr 1992 taten sich die britische Pop-Ikone Kim Wilde und ihr Bruder Ricki, der Produzent, Autor und Musiker war, mit dem legendären amerikanischen Plattenproduzenten und Songwriter Rick Nowels zusammen. Zu dieser Zeit war Nowels auf dem Höhepunkt seines Erfolgs mit Belinda Carlisle - seine Arbeit für Belinda und Kim war der Beginn einer herausragenden Karriere, die Madonna, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, Florence & The Machine und andere umfassen sollte. 'Love Is' macht mit einer der besten Kim Wilde-Singles aller Zeiten, dem gemeinsam von Rick Nowels und Ellen Shipley geschriebenen 'Love Is Holy', den Anfang, und von da an ist es eine stets selbstbewusste und stimmige Sammlung klassischer Pop-Songs. 'Now & Forever' wurde 1995 ursprünglich nur auf CD und Kassette veröffentlicht. Kim und ihr Bruder und Producer Ricki entfernten sich dabei vom Pop-orientierten Sound früherer Alben und gingen einem zeitgenössischeren elektronischen Soul-Vibe entgegen. Eine Zusammenarbeit mit dem in London ansässigen DJ-Produzenten und Remixer C.J. Mackintosh (M/A/R/R/S, Nasty RoxInc.) bei vier der Tracks half dabei, ein Album zu schaffen, das Einflüsse aus Gospel House, Dance und Loop-Beats enthielt. Issued on vinyl for the first time and pressed on 2 x 140g black vinyl, Juno Reactor’s 2004s album, ‘Labyrinth’, their 6th long player. Ben Watkins is an essential innovator of modern electronic music and a pioneer of Trance. Over the course of nearly 30 years, Watkins has created a unique driving fusion of electronica, orchestral and global music executed on an epic & symphonic scale. Juno Reactor was formed as an art project in 1990. Ben Watkins wanted to collaborate with other artists, producing exciting projects that were not commercially driven. He wanted to create experimental music and non-musical soundtracks that would work with installations, art pieces, and film projects. Labyrinth ranges from orchestral, industrial, and techno as well as containing Juno Reactor's trademark tribal sound (possibly as best featured in Conquistador II). The album also features two songs from Watkins' collaboration with The Matrix composer Don Davis on the films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, "Mona Lisa Overdrive" (from Reloaded) and "Navras" (from Revolutions). As well as releasing a string of influential albums as Juno Reactor, Watkins’ tracks have been placed in numerous highprofile feature films, television programmes and computer games and Ben Watkins composed large sections of the original score for the films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, as well as composing the entire orchestral score for Japanese anime feature film Brave Story.

The funkiest release on the HDH label and last album from Detroit soul group Chairmen of the Board saw a concerted movement away from harmony soul towards the psychedelic funk-rock sound of Funkadelica.

and formed Heaven 17 in 1980. Named after a fictional band in Anthony Burgess’s “A Clockwork Orange”, they

Holland, Dozier and Holland are arguably the greatest songwriters ever. More prolific than Lennon and McCartney, they shaped “the Sound of Young America” and propelled the Motown sound in the mid-1960s into a creative stratosphere unmatched by any other independent music label. This time around, the series kicks off with ‘Classic Disco’ and ‘Disco Fever USA’. Doing exactly what it says on the tin, ‘Classic Disco’ mixes 12 undeniable dancefloor landmarks on 140g orange vinyl, from recognizable names like Change, Manhattan Transfer and Cheryl Lynn, with deeper cuts from exotic names like Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band (an early incarnation of Kid Creole!), The Peter Jacques Band and Double Discovery. Demon Music are happy to present – Electribe 101 - ‘Electribal Memories’, this stunning half-speed master vinyl edition cut from the original tapes by Barry Grint at Air Studios. Formed when Hamburg-born / London-based, sometimes S’ Express member Billie Ray Martin hooked up with four musician / producers from Birmingham, Electribe 101 instantly hit upon a sound heavily influenced by the de rigueur deep house sounds of Chicago and Detroit but with a distinctive European twist. With Billie Ray up front, with a voice like ice on fire and looking as if she’d stepped forward in time from a circa-1966 Mary Quant catwalk, the band were instantly snapped up by Mercury Records, and taken under the wing of Pet Shop Boys manager Tom Watkins. The band released five singles in the UK, and all featured on their debut album ‘Electribal Memories’ – ‘Tell Me When The Fever Ended’, ‘Talking With Myself’, ‘You’re Walking’, ‘Lipstick On My Lover’ and an incredible cover of Odyssey’s deep soul classic ‘Inside Out’. When the album arrived in 1990, it was an instant hit with critics – immaculately produced, poised, luxurious and soulful, it was difficult to believe it was a debut record at all. After ‘Electribal Memories’, Electribe 101 called it a day. Since then, the album’s reputation has grown in stature and many of its’ singles’ attendant remixes have become sought-after rarities. The cultural earthquake prompted by the late-1980s arrival on these shores of house, acid and rave prompted many a legendary club night and a generation of superstar DJ / producers. While there were a myriad of great club tracks produced in that heady period between 1988-1991, classic albums from the scene were rather more of a rarity. One towering exception was the debut by Electribe 101…

Reissued on vinyl for the first time, Juno Reactor’s 1997 ‘Bible of Dreams’, also newly mastered and available of
double black vinyl.
‘Bible of Dreams’ was Juno Reactor's fourth album. It had a very different sound from the group's previous albums,
and moved away from the traditional dance beats by implementing tribal influences. The band collaborated with
Amampondo, a traditional South African percussion act, on the single ‘Conga Fury’. Watkins and Amampondo went on
a five-week tour of the US, opening for Moby.
Featuring music from the film soundtracks The Matrix Reloaded, Animatrix, Mortal Kombat Annihilation and Beowulf.
Composer, producer, musician and performer Ben Watkins is an essential innovator of modern electronic music and a
pioneer of Trance. Over the course of nearly 30 years, Watkins has created a unique driving fusion of electronica,
orchestral and global music executed on an epic & symphonic scale.
Juno Reactor was formed as an art project in 1990. Ben Watkins wanted to collaborate with other artists, producing
exciting projects that were not commercially driven. He wanted to create experimental music and non-musical
soundtracks that would work with installations, art pieces, and film projects.
As well as releasing a string of influential albums as Juno Reactor, Watkins’ tracks have been placed in numerous highprofile feature films, television programmes and computer games and Ben Watkins composed large sections of the
original score for the films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, as well as composing the entire orchestral
score for Japanese anime feature film Brave Story.

As part of Demon Music’s Suede30 campaign, the label are issuing Suede’s first four singles as seven-inch picture discs, reproducing the original arresting cover images on the discs.

The fourth, and final, release in this series is ‘So Young’, originally issued on Nude Records on 17 May 1993. It reached No 22 in the UK singles chart.

The B-side to ‘So Young’ was ‘High Rising’ which didn’t appear on the Suede album. The new picture disc is strictly limited to 1000 units worldwide and is only available via the SDE shop and the official Suede store.

The ‘So Young’ seven-inch picture disc is released on 5 January 2024 via Demon Records. The far away release date is probably in part because ‘Metal Mickey’ (sold out) and ‘Animal Nitrate’ (still available) have both been delayed slightly. Sam Weiss started SAM Records in Long Island City, New York in 1976. Sam, and his brother Hy, were born in Romania before moving to the Bronx in New York City when they were young. Sam and his brother were no strangers to the music business having been in the industry since the mid-50s running labels Old Town and Parody Records. • During the mid-1970s Disco took New York by storm and emerged into a revolutionary musical force that re-shaped the face of the City. It was however a genre major labels largely ignored initially. It was the smaller, independent labels that led the way in disco’s early years. Founded in 1974, Salsoul was the first. Sam’s new label SAM Records arrived a year later, followed by West End and Prelude in 1976: four labels from which umpteen disco classics emerged. • This compilation compiles all of the classic material that SAM release during the years 1975 and 1983. Offering up a treasure trove of disco essential this compilation features tracks from Gary’s Gang, John Davis & The Monster Orchestra, Komiko, Rhyze, Convertion, Vicky “D”, Greg Henderson alongside deeper cuts by Lucy Hawkins, K.I.D and more. • The audio used here has been sourced from the SAM archives and in many cases the mixes are appearing in their truest 12-inch form. • Boston born, John is one of the truly legendary DJ's and
remixers of the Disco era. John got his break at Epic by
overdubbing percussion from salt shakers and spoons
onto a promo and then passing them back the tape. This
resulted in him being flown to New York, and put in a
studio (of his choice) to mix and produce Melba Moore`s
“You Stepped Into My Life”. From this point everything he
touched was a hit. He went onto remix Disco classics by
Jackie Moore – “This Time Baby”, Dan Hartman “Vertigo
/ Relight My Fire” and Patti Labelle “Music Is My Way Of
Life”.

• John, however was not afraid of remixing artists that
didn’t fit into the disco genre and this attitude is borne out
by the tracklisting of this compilation on which Gladys
Knight and The Pips rub shoulders with ZZ Top and Billy

The whole of the UK mourned when Chas Hodges passed away in September 2018, and the parade of stars (including Eric Clapton, Joe Brown, Gary Brooker, Ralph McTell and Albert Lee) who performed at the tribute concert in December that year is testament to the regard in which Chas and his musical partner Dave Peacock are held.

The influence that 80s gay nightlife had on electronic music, pop music in general and the evolution of clubbing for
subsequent generations is pretty much incalculable. In spite of the shadow of AIDs and reactionary political and media
forces both at home and in the USA, the period 1980 – 1990 bore witness to a dazzling explosion of dance music that
artfully drew a line from the peak of late-70s disco to the emergence of house and its 90s glory days. The art of the
12” single, the thrill of the remix, the rise of the superclub, the electronic spark of chart pop, the challenging of gender
barriers… all had their origin in the gay clubs. It’s not unreasonable to make the claim that by the end of the 80s,
virtually ALL chart pop music sounded like it had its origins on the dancefloors of Heaven nightclub!
Over 4LPs and 24 tracks, ‘Box Of Sin’ strives to tell the story of that decade, and to tease apart the strands of 80s gay
clubbing to show a period of unrivalled creativity and disco diversity. Via the box’s themed discs it shows how highenergy became house, how gender-bending synth bands took over the pop charts, how pop stars the whole world
over found a route to fame via the gay clubs, and how the era’s biggest producers aimed their masterworks purely at
the dancefloor. High energy, deep house, Eurobeat, synthpop, divas, acid house… all combine to paint a picture of a
rich and vibrant lifestyle. Along the way, ‘Box Of Sin’ unearths some overlooked gems rarely compiled today:
meanwhile some of the decade’s biggest names in club music gather to get into the picture – from Whitney Houston
to Dead Or Alive, Bananarama to Bronski Beat, Aretha Franklin to Inner City.
Based on the actual club charts at the time and with a stunning design package inspired by the small ads section of
80s gay press, ‘ Box Of Sin’ comes fully annotated and with an introduction by renowned gay author Paul Burston.
Throughout, it’s illustrated with photography documenting 80s gay clubbers in action, provided for Demon by The
Bishopsgate Institute, the UK’s LGBTQ+ archive. The project also resurrects the much-loved brand ‘Disco Discharge’, a
recognisable hallmark of quality among collectors and aficionados of club music heritage.

Speziell in Deutschland hatte die 1966 formierte Beat-Band um Gitarrist Eddie Phillips eine treue Fan-Gemeinde.. Stilistisch nah bei The Who und den Kinks wurde The Creation von deren Produzenten Shel Talmy produziert. Bis sich die Band 1968 erstmalig auflöste, entstand kein reines Studioalbum, aber jede Menge Single-Hits. Später wurde das legendäre Label von Alan McGee nach ihnen benannt. Das luxuriöse 2CD-Set im 7inch Format hält nochmal alle Klassiker bereit, die die Band in den 1960er Jahren aufgenommen hat. Following a greatest hits compilation in the late 90s the Human League signed to the Papillon label. The line-up
of Philip Oakey, Susan Sulley and Joanne Catherall recorded the “Secrets” album, with keyboard player Neil
Sutton, who co-wrote most of the songs with Oakey, and programmer David Beevers providing the trademark
Human League sound.
• The album’s release in 2001 was preceded by the single “All I Ever Wanted”, but both the single and album lost
promotion and sales when Papillon ran into financial difficulties and was closed shortly after the album’s release.
• This 2LP new edition has been expertly mastered by Cicely Balston at AIR Mastering from the original stereo
tapes using precision half-speed mastering. Half-speed mastering is a vinyl cutting technique that improves
groove accuracy and transient information creating an incredibly detailed stereo image with a natural high
frequency response.
• Presented in its original sleeve, pressed on 2 x 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl, featuring an obi strip and
housed in a poly-lined inner sleeve, with all the lyrics and credits on the 4 page insert.

In dem brandneuen 2CD-Set zum 40-jährigen Jubiläum enthält CD1 das Originalalbum, während die Bonus-CD drei Non-Album-B-Seiten, zwei erweiterte 12inch-Versionen, einen Live-Track und drei Single-Edits enthält.
