The story follows a protagonist through an alternate-history space race, imagining a future where humanity settles on the moon and leaves a dying Earth behind. Musically, the record delivers the tight, energetic, hook-driven sound that appeals to fans of Delta Sleep and Snooze. This special edition includes the 10" record in a proper 10" outer sleeve and a custom 12" slip mat in its own 12" outer sleeve. The artwork of the 10" aligns with the slip mat design to create the appearance of an ink or blood stain when displayed together. Only 50 copies were produced.

The record captures the raw electricity of their live performances while revealing surprising moments of melody and restraint. Tracks like "Bastard," "Reptilian Brain" and "Professionalism Debunked" showcase the band's volatile edge, while "Holy Building Tourist" offers a brief but memorable shift in tone. Its members have deep roots in 90s and 2000s mixed-bill shows, basement gigs, and tours that crossed paths with the broader Midwest DIY network. Collectively they've played in projects like Towers, Stillwell, Engines, Ghost Towns, Sore History and others, giving The Feat a seasoned musical identity that blends melodic punk, indie rock and emo without fitting cleanly into any single lane. Their songwriting leans heavily into emotional grit, sharp guitar work and the kind of lived-in perspective that comes from decades in the community

Their sound was sharp, tense and emotionally immediate, and though short-lived, the band remained a memorable part of the Midwest DIY scene. The original self-titled CD was released on the underground label Ed Walters Records in 2003 , circulating primarily through shows and the regional emo/ math- rock community. Dipterid Records now brings the material to vinyl for the first time with the self-titled 10". The updated 10" artwork pays homage to the original CD design while being rebuilt to better suit the new format. After MRB ended, members went on to form Denude and later Thyone , continuing the same lineage of heavy, math- leaning Midwest underground music

Recorded and mixed by John Paul Peters at Private Ear Recordings and mastered by Jon Markson, the album showcases the band's collective songwriting and meticulous musicianship. Critics have praised Repose for its "brilliant ideas and exceptional musicianship" (Thoughts Words Action), and Fecking Bahamas ranked it #13 in their Top 100 Math Rock Albums of 2022 , cementing its place as one of the year's standout underground releases. Across ten tracks, Fox Lake balance technical precision with heartfelt energy, making Repose both a document of the band's growth and a highlight of Canada's underground scene.
