As a DJ I vividly recall the euphoria it sparked on dancefloors with its complex yet catchy Trance melodies - igniting a frenzy of hands-in-the-air moments. Fast forward to today and I've had the incredible opportunity to reimagine this timeless classic. Julia Govor, Amotik, Yogg and Electric Indigo, all of them close friends to the label, dive into the broken-beat territory, offering their particular vision of the genre, as personal and varied as interesting, and not only dance floor focused.

We are proud to bring DJ Gemini onto the Vinyl Fanatiks roster with this gigantean 12" and originally released in 1993 on Liquid Wax. This release was engineered back then by Alex Reece when he was assistant engineer to Jack Smooth at his Sound Entity Studios.

New Parisian label, Disques Messager, presents its new and second release. As its name suggests, the label has a simple leitmotiv: to place itself among the best messengers for rarities and sought-after gems of the international rare groove. A mission which began like fire last year with a 7inch reissue release including two Brazilian Disco bangers by Cristina Camargo. For this second efforts, the label doesn’t deviate from the artistic and quality path taken, however also making quite a U-turn, this time presenting 2 underrated kind of musical UFO, both from the French scene.
Not many info can be found about Yoanson & Karamie, two young artists from the French African diaspora, who randomly met with Nessim Saroussi and his label Ness Music in the late 80s. Nessim himself doesn’t remind much about the 2 guys, except that he quickly offered to produce them, which resulted in their only EP release, Kalimba (1988). Part of this EP, “African Leaders” is a stunning track melting Afro-Tropical percussions, Disco bass, Early-Electro beats and Leftfield vocals in a way that could remind of Doctor L or Arthur Russel productions.
On the contrary, Philippe de Lacroix-Herpin (aka Prof Jah Pinpin) has a long musical career started in the mid-70s and became a renowned saxophonist playing and recording for many famous French acts such as Jean-Jacques Goldman, Alain Chamfort, FFF, or even rap band NTM. In 1994, he moved definitely to the Reunion Island where he quickly launched the Prof Jah Pinpin 4tet, in his own words willing to play “free/funk/jazz/rock/tropical” music… Quite a vast and large musical tag, but which immediately make sense when listening to the surprising “The Final Bird” track. Only released as CD in 1996, this instrumental production has indeed a unique sound and flavor mixing all kinds of elements together (even samples of Weather Report).
Well as you can understand, words are not the best way to describe these 2 hidden treasures, so we strongly recommend the spinning to make your own view!

Am 13. Oktober 2023 verabschiedete sich die Melbourne-Band Camp Cope mit einem letzten Auftritt vor einem begeisterten, ausverkauften Publikum in der legendären Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. Zwei Jahre später haben Run For Cover & Poison City Records ,The Final Show - Live at Sydney Opera House", um diesen besonderen Moment der Band bei ihrem letzten Live-Auftritt zu feiern. Die Vinylversion dieser Veröffentlichung enthält neun Songs aus dem letzten Auftritt, darunter Titel aus jedem der beliebten Alben der Band. Begleitet von einem Chor aus Freunden auf der Bühne und einem ganzen Opernhaus voller Fans, die mitsingen, wirken die letzten Zeilen des Songs über anfängliche Ablehnung wie eine erfüllte Prophezeiung: ,See how far we've come not listening to you."

Final Error is a death- thrash metal band from Lippstadt, North Rhine- Westphalia
(Germany), founded in 2014. The original lineup included Jens "Hammer"
Schillhammer (bass), Chris Krause (guitar), Achim Kietz (vocals), and Michael "Mieke"
Joachimsmeier (drums).
In 2016, they released their frst EP, "Sick of Your Lies". After several lineup changes -
Krause and Kietz both left - the band evolved further toward a pure metal sound,
moving away from their early hardcore punk infuences. New members like Fabian
Sendfeld, Juan Manuel Fuentes, Nico Paiva, and Andreas Kramer shaped this new
direction.
Their debut album "The Blind Lead the Blind" was released in 2019 via Dedication
Records, followed by the EP "Dead Man Walking" (2021) on KKR Records, both
accompanied by professional music videos directed by Matthias Kollek. In 2022, they
released their second full- length album, "Necromantic Rituals". After Kramer's
departure in 2023, the band welcomed seasoned drummer Burkhard "Borgy" Fabian

Citirax's next outing takes the form of a debut album from Los Angeles-based duo OP-ART. This pair, like so much great music of recent times, is born out of the creative isolation of lockdown and features Andrew Clinco, who you may know for his work with Drab Majesty. The alias they have adopted is an acronym of "Oblique Pleasures Amidst Rough Times" which they say reflected the challenges of their formation. Musically the duo is inspired by the 1960s visual art movement so embraces layered, psychedelic soundscapes with a minimalist approach and takes cues from New Wave artists like John Foxx and early OMD. OP-ART in particular focuses on analogue synthesis and gear like the Arp Odyssey and Moog Rogue while exploring time, romance, and existential themes with real emotional depth.

Der isländische Multiinstrumentalist und Komponist Ólafur Arnalds hat bereits mit seinen früheren Alben
„For Now I Am Winter“, „The Chopin Project“ und „Island Songs“ große Erfolge gefeiert.
Doch mit dem Soundtrack zur dritten und letzten Staffel der britischen Krimiserie Broadchurch“ beweist
Ólafur Arnalds einmal mehr, dass er noch viel mehr kann. Das Erfolgsdrama mit David Tennant und Olivia
Coleman in den Hauptrollen erreichte mit rund 10 Millionen Zuschauern den Status der meistgesehenen
Serie auf den britischen Inseln.
Die Euphorie, die die Serie ausgelöst hat, spiegelt sich auch in den 13 Millionen Streams des Soundtracks
wider. Die Musik von Ólafur Arnalds haucht der Serie Leben ein und kann als ihr künstlerisches Fundament

sich dessen schmerzlich bewusst, als sie im Juli 2021 ihren legendären Sänger und Frontmann Mike Howe
verloren. Von 1988 bis 1994 und noch einmal ab 2015 war Howe der Frontmann einer der meistgeliebten und
geschätzten Metal-Institutionen Amerikas und nahm bahnbrechende und essentielle Werke wie "Blessing in
Disguise" und "The Human Factor" auf.
Mike Howe war ein herausragender Sänger, ein charismatischer Frontmann und für viele die Stimme des
amerikanischen Heavy Metal. Am 26. Juli 2021 starb Howe im Alter von 55 Jahren in seinem Haus in Eureka,
Kalifornien. Die Welt hat an diesem Tag eine einzigartige Stimme und ein einzigartiges Talent verloren. Sein
Vermächtnis wird natürlich weiterleben, in seinen vielen Freunden, Anhängern und Fans, in seinen klassischen
Alben und in den Erinnerungen seiner Bandkollegen. Zum dritten Jahrestag seines tragischen Todes wird
Reaper Entertainment seinen eigenen Beitrag zum Gedenkaltar einer wahren Ikone leisten: ein Live-Album mit
dem Titel "The Final Sermon", aufgenommen bei seinen letzten Auftritten - am 24. und 25. August 2019 im Club

alltägliche Realität eindringen. Mitglieder und Fans der amerikanischen Metal-Giganten Metal Church wurden
sich dessen schmerzlich bewusst, als sie im Juli 2021 ihren legendären Sänger und Frontmann Mike Howe
verloren. Von 1988 bis 1994 und noch einmal ab 2015 war Howe der Frontmann einer der meistgeliebten und
geschätzten Metal-Institutionen Amerikas und nahm bahnbrechende und essentielle Werke wie "Blessing in
Disguise" und "The Human Factor" auf.
Mike Howe war ein herausragender Sänger, ein charismatischer Frontmann und für viele die Stimme des
amerikanischen Heavy Metal. Am 26. Juli 2021 starb Howe im Alter von 55 Jahren in seinem Haus in Eureka,
Kalifornien. Die Welt hat an diesem Tag eine einzigartige Stimme und ein einzigartiges Talent verloren. Sein
Vermächtnis wird natürlich weiterleben, in seinen vielen Freunden, Anhängern und Fans, in seinen klassischen
Alben und in den Erinnerungen seiner Bandkollegen. Zum dritten Jahrestag seines tragischen Todes wird
Reaper Entertainment seinen eigenen Beitrag zum Gedenkaltar einer wahren Ikone leisten: ein Live-Album mit

von Funker Vogt. Nach dem Ausscheiden von Chris L. im
Sommer 2021 hat man zunächst eine einjährige
Schaffenspause eingelegt, bevor Gerrit Thomas und René
Dornbusch den Sänger und Shouter Bastian Polak zum
vollständigen Trio rekrutieren konnten. Der „Neue“ am Mikro
dürfte vielen bereits durch das Duo Intent:Outtake bekannt
sein. Da Komponist und Produzent Gerrit Thomas bereits für
diese Formation Gesangsaufnahmen sowie Mix & Master
getätigt hat und man sich daher schon kennen und schätzen
lernte, war es für einige Fans sicher keine große
Überraschung, dass Bastian Polak für Funker Vogt angeheuert
wurde.

Der Sound auf „Final Construct“ dürfte reichlich Epos mit sich
bringen, da sich die Band stark auf das Songwriting konzentriert und den hymnischen Charakter mehr denn je in den Fokus gesetzt hat. Nahezu jeder der insgesamt 19 neu komponierten Titel hat den sogenannten Single-Charakter. Herr Polak beweist auf allen Songs dieses Albums und dessen

'Final Symphony II' erkundet weitere beliebte Musik aus der Final Fantasy-Reihe, aufgenommen vom dem Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1983, Justin K. Broadrick (Godflesh, Jesu, Council Estate Electronics, The Sidewinder, etc.) has been producing largely solo, but sometimes collaborative, work under the Final moniker. Beginning as a more obviously power electronics-inspired project it has during the past two decades or so evolved into one which still retains that sonic intensity but has a more expansive sound. I Am the Dirt Under Your Fingernails is the latest album, closely following It Comes to Us All on Alter in July 2022 and the now mostly o/p CD version already released in October 2022. Comprising nine tracks each named and numbered after the album’s title, IATDUYF violently pushes us through a murky world of suffocating textures, crepuscular guitars, serrated noise and what appear to be random bursts of sawmill grind which together create the perfect backdrop to today’s newscape. This is a relentless sound that’s absolutely unforgiving as it hammers home anger and despair with little respite, illustrating very clearly that JK Broadrick has been one of the very few to contort the uncompromising approach of early power electronics into wholly new and contemporary forms rife with greater possibilities.

They were very popular all over the Bay Area and appear on countless early posters of the period, but they never released anything. FINAL GASP unleash their debut album Mourning Moon! A harrowing journey through all things Hardcore, Metal, and Goth, Mourning Moon drags the listener through the dark in 12 thrilling tracks, and drives a stake right into the heart of 2023's most compelling releases. With Mourning Moon, FINAL GASP emerge from the shadows, and step into the forefront of extreme music's new guard.

SPLIT's debut vinyl EP is a tour de force of German Dubstep, featuring masterfully crafted original tracks and expertly executed remixes from Jafu, Zecher, and Schulzone.

From the opening track, the listener is taken on a journey through a soundscape of deep, driving basslines and mesmerizing melodies that are sure to leave a lasting impression. SPLIT's unique style is evident throughout the EP, blending elements of traditional Dubstep with a fresh,

Das Album ”Final Straw” von Snow Patrol feiert dieses Jahr sein 20-jähriges Jubiläum und wird neu veröffentlicht. Die Jubiläumsausgabe wird auf CD und Vinyl erhältlich sein. Alle Formate enthalten drei bisher unveröffentlichte Tracks aus den Album-Sessions, sechs Original-Demos des Albums und neue, ausführliche und aufschlussreiche Liner Notes, geschrieben von Snow Patrol’s Leadsänger Gary Lightbody.

Die 2LP wird auf farbigem Vinyl (gold) in limitierter Auflage gepresst, mit einem silbernen Laminat-Effekt auf der Klapphülle. Die 2CD enthält außerdem die 11 Final Straw-Tracks, die für den DVD-Konzertfilm Live at Somerset House von 2004 verwendet wurden.

A classic NYC club anthem gets a re-work from Charles D. 'Final Chapter' by Mike Macaluso was first released in 1999 on Dieselgroove and immediately became an omnipresent classic. "I would hear it all the time on every house music mix CD I got my hands on," buzzes Charles D. "Once I started actually going out in the mid-2000s, it was still being played at legendary clubs such as Sound Factory, Tunnel, Pacha and Avalon. It was quite literally the soundtrack to New York nightlife at the time."

The original, clocking in at over nine minutes, is a golden dancefloor trip taking in elements of house, trance and Hi-NRG, and is famous for its rousing bell sample throughout. It's an iconic sound signature that brought many a dance fan to a weepy state of delirium.

Paying due respect to the original, Charles D gives it a modern techno touch up, retaining elements of the melody and famous bells throughout.

Cosmic afterburners dialled up to the max, Pamela Records voyage out to the ends of existence with their latest four track trip from Jo Sims. Taking the lead leap of faith is esteemed producer, remixer and DJ David Holmes, who provides a signature cinematic remix of the title track ‘Bass – The Final Frontier’. Like the climax of a sci fi space odyssey, Holmes molds the track into a synthtastic epic with otherworldly vocal refrains ringing around your brain and body. The original mix is up next, a new beat flexing stomper that will have any crowd begging for more.

Flip it for darker, twisted chugathon in the form of ‘Demons Of Dance’ before the trip hop tinged, downtempo delight with a distinctly space age touch ‘Mumbo Jumbo’, takes the final slot.

“Final Departure” is the debut album by J-Shadow, a widescreen vision expanding out on an event horizon before us. Built using influences from London’s rich electronic, pirate radio and black music lineages (jungle, grime, hip-hop, electronica etc), the album twists and turns, lifting listeners up towards a more ethereal plane. “I see beauty in the complexity of life from the cosmic scale to the quantum,” he explains. “From all that we can observe, this world stands as a uniquely multifarious sphere in which we just happen to exist.” “I love to take ideas and attempt to conceptualise them into an audible expedition,” he explains. “I find that music serves as an extraordinary medium to project my perception of the universe.” “Sometimes I will reach for certain influences and deconstruct them into an amalgamation of conscious experiences that reflect my vision of how I see the world.”

James 'Perturbator' Kent and Cult of Luna are the masters of their respective worlds. Over the last decade, the French maestro has become the most expectation-breaking name in synthwave, transcending its '80s video game aesthetic with metal and post-punk.

Meanwhile, the Swedish sextet have affirmed themselves as post-metal's biggest stars. Seismic riffs, earth-quaking growls and brave collaborations with everyone from Julie Christmas to Colin Stetson have ensured they're as blistering as they are forward-thinking.
Eclecticism and violence are married in Final Light: Perturbator's team-up with Cult of Luna singer/guitarist Johannes Persson. The pair's self-titled debut album is the perfect conglomerate between seemingly incompatible sounds.

On its opening track, the insidious "Nothing Will Bear Your Name", synths bubble to construct an arresting opening half. Then, release. Johannes' roar strikes and guitar chords boom as computerised beats anchor the chaos.

"It Came with the Water" echoes Cult of Luna's 2013 titan Vertikal, invoking images of an urban dystopia as its deep guitar melody grinds beneath sci-fi electronica. The title track's distorted EDM beats, on the other hand, are all James 'Perturbator' Kent, capable of invigorating the seediest of underground nightclubs. Both parties are clearly playing to their strengths - but for them to do so in such perfect harmony is, in itself, a genre-demolishing feat.

Lyrically, Final Light seethes with anger. "There was so much that I was so fucking pissed about," Johannes explains. "Some of my friends were dealing with a poisonous person: a narcissistic, crazy person. I was walking around full of anger and hate, so I think that came out in those lyrics."

The tandem's story began in 2019. Walter Hoeijmakers, the artistic director of the Netherlands' lauded Roadburn festival, approached James 'Perturbator' Kent with the opportunity of doing a commissioned piece with any musician of his choosing. As soon as the pair began work on their boundary-decimating songs, they knew that they had to be immortalised as an album.

"It was immediate," states Perturbator. "It's a project that I really want to share; it's not only the fruit of a collaboration between me and one of my favourite musicians, but also very unique and once-in-a-lifetime."
They wrote and recorded together in Paris before the start of the pandemic. Covid, which postponed the Roadburn festival at which the band would have debuted, gave them time to perfect what they'd crafted.
Johannes recorded additional vocals at Cult of Luna's resident studio in Umeå, Sweden, fully capturing the rage of his apocalyptically harsh voice.

Borders were built to be shattered. This is the sound of their destruction. Single-handedly, Final Light have birthed a new, bleak breed of experimental metal.
