Originally issued in 2002, from the band formed by UFO vocalist Phil Mogg with guitarist Jeff Kollman (Cosmosquad/Mogg/Way), drummer Shane Gaalaas (Glenn Hughes/Uli Jon Roth) and bass player Jimmy Curtain, soon after the release of UFO studio album Sharks. Sparkling with melody, this album combines guitar-based rock and soulful blues perfectly.

'This Is Mod' ist Teil einer neuen Serie, die sich an Vinylkäufer richtet, die eine genrespezifische Compilation suchen. Originally released in 1972, You Are the Music... We're Just the Band was recorded with producer Neil Slaven. The line-up of Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Mel Galley (Whitesnake), and Dave Holland (Judas Priest) recorded this album before disbanding later that year when Hughes left in 1973 to join Deep Purple. You Are the Music... We're Just the Band also featured a wide range of guest performers, including guitarist B. J. Cole, pianist Rod Argent and saxophonist Jimmy Hastings. You Are the Music... We're Just the Band has not been released on vinyl since 1978 and now has been fully remastered and comes on white, red and black twist 180-gram vinyl and beautifully repackaged (limited to 250 copies pressed – gatefold sleeve).

Vacation In The Underworld entzündet eine mitreissende aus Thrash-Feuerkraft, Rock-Swagger und hymnischem Arena Donner.

Soul Music in Los Angeles was nearing its peak in 1966. The pre-eminent company was of course the giant Capitol Records and the uptempo songs that they released at the time still retain great power and attraction for many dancers today. But there were several small, private concerns making soul music, looking for that one big hit, and singers who were trying to find the break that would take their careers onto a new and higher plane. This album nods towards Capitol but concentrates on the varying styles of soul that the smaller, more agile labels released at the time. Many of these have been overlooked for far too long now, but here is the perfect opportunity to find out just how strong and varied the West Coast soul scene really was in the middle of the 1960s.
