(2x12", 140g vinyl) Max Durante's first LP in a 30 year career, 'The Experiment', is a new, left-field direction for an artist whose history traces from the birth of techno, through IDM, industrial and electro. Spread over four sides of vinyl, 'The Experiment' consists of beatless pieces (which reveal another character when slowed to 33RPM), broken-beat techno and straight-up dancefloor trips.

Max is back for his third EP for Sonic Groove. Titled the 'Art Of Rage' Max returns this time with a heavier syncopated synthesized sound in comparison to his previous two rhythmic industrialized techno releases for SG. Twisting and turning the sound of early 90's EBM , classic rave techno and acid vibes into the perfect modern day sound track. What else can one expect from a 30+ year veteran of the Techno scene!

Active for over 25 years , Max Durante is a legendary figure in the Italian Techno scene. An early 90's innovator in combining the sounds of Techno , Acid and Industrial with his old school project on the legendary Italian label ACV/Hot Trax. His project 'Automatic Sound Unlimited' with D'archangelo of Rephlex Records fame was ahead of the game back then. So like glove fits hand. Max fits perfectly on Sonic Groove with a cutting edge , menacing time bomb of an EP. Sharp as a razor , hard as steel this is seriously powerful stuff for those that like there techno uncompromised.

Japanese sound sculptors Steven Porter (aka Katsunori Sawa and Yuji Kondo) sign two striking productions to Kynant, with a pair of remixes completing the 'Reservoir' EP. 'A Need For Distance' on the A-side is abrasive and hard-hitting but not without moments of melody. Fellow Japanese purveyor of tripped-out techno Iori mines a lean, highly-effective groove on the remix. 'Romance Tip' takes a slower, endlessly-detailed approach with sharp percussion and mindbending atmospherics; Max Durante, who recently released his debut LP on Kynant, contributes a broken-beat workout to finish the record. Four tracks from that menacing beast have been given the full-on remix treatment and oh boy, what a bunch of hard as nails remixers are on this obliterating follow up release. The Scottish contingent kicks proceedings off with Duellist at the helm followed by Argentinian duo 909distortion & AxggaA literally melting the wax it’s printed on their remix is that fierce. It continues at a relentless pace with Canada’s Patrick DSP mangling the howls of ‘AAIRAA’ to ravenous levels and the mechanical mind of Italian Max Durante finishes the release off with borderline hardcore vengeance.

The six boxes released in recent years include 56 records with over 300 tracks from artists from every corner of the world. Some warehouse copies have surfaced of the 5th 808 Box, and these will be available individually. These are new copies in perfect condition, with the original sleeves printed with the classic Roland TR-808.
