Phara returns with a second project under his In Glass alias. In 'Scratching the Surface', we're light years away from the heavier, more instructive dance records that have become synonymous with Phara's style. In this EP, the Belgian artist reaffirms his celestial, delicate sound in four tracks that delve further deeper into the emotional soundscape proposed in the first EP.

'Sally' begins the project with the most dance floor oriented of the four tracks, proposing an intoxicating blend of styles that bloom throughout its six minutes. Soft pads and bright keys twinkle along a cradling rhythm as In Glass delivers a truly musical piece that sifts through memories. Percussion is then taken out of the equation as 'All Things (424 Version)' comes and lands softly on the center stage. Lush, ambient waves come lapping at the shore of 'Scratching the Surface', describing nothing but space and serenity - a breath from everything. The dreamy tone of 'All Things' oscillates along reassuringly into the B side, keeping the tempo low and the sound design organic. Here, we step into In Glass's world of dub techno and adjacent sounds that defined his first record last year. 'Plateau' rises slowly from the wax with a round low end and suspended chords that hover high above. Opening stabs over a harmonic bassline make a head massage of a track that sways along. The raw emotion behind In Glass's music is inviting, flashing by as ethereal synths open and close to install a personal, meditative experience of electronic music. The percussion remains discrete, allowing the harmonic information to wash over the listener into the last track of the EP. He concludes with 'My Idle Hands', pressing further into the dub techno sound that echoes through a cathedral of memories. Blurry shapes pass by over a more determined rhythm section, confirming the intimate nature of In Glass's music. The music wanders along, its head in the clouds but with a full heart, telling stories of being lost and finding home.

N.O.B.A. returns on Vibes Addikt with a raw and hypnotic vinyl only release, crafted for the most intense moments on the dancefloor. Blending driving techno energy with dark trance influences, the track unfolds through pounding kicks, razor-sharp synths and relentless tension before descending into an enchanting break layered with haunting Gregorian chants. A cinematic and almost mystical sequence before the track erupts back into full-force rave energy.

Following the identity and collector spirit of previous Vibes Addikt releases, this 10’’ edition fully embodies the label’s vision: dynamic, emotional and entirely dedicated to vinyl culture. This new volume of Casquiat diesel into the streets of LA and mixes up the raw realities of life and plenty of lyrical and production innovation across mutant rap, hip-hop, breakbeat and dub sounds. 'Mexican Illegals' is a big opener with distorted bass blasts and ice-cold analogue beats with a stylish delivery up top that twists and turns between the drums. 'Fuck Ice (bonus beat)' is menacing and full of swagger with saw tooth synths and infectious syncopation, then 'Pistol Grip Pump' (Casquiat remix) is an early rap sound made freaky with sci-fi production touches and larger than life bars.

After shaping a strong identity through our first three releases, this new record marks a tighter and more assertive expression of our influences through new sonic explorations.

This EP reflects the journey Triple Phase has taken so far. Inspired by one another, our music has grown denser and now moves toward something more physical, rawer, and more club-oriented.

Karates trotziges und letztes Studioalbum rundet eine 12-jährige Diskografie ab, die von harDCore-artiger Katharsis bis hin zu feedbackgesättigten Improvisationen reicht. Dieser Klassiker aus dem Jahr 2004 verzichtete auf die Friendster-Migration zugunsten eines zurück zum Wesentlichen gerichteten Songwritings, das von Jazzphrasierungen und beatinspirierter Lyrik durchdrungen ist. Mit Chris Brokaw, dem Gitarristen von Codeine/Come, wurde ,Pockets" von den originalen Analogbändern neu gemastert und kommt in einer Deluxe-Hülle mit reproduzierten Songtexten.

Neues, viertes, Solo-Album vom dänischen Psych-Rock-Zauberer Uffe Lorenzen aka Lorenzo Woodrose aka... Seit zehn Jahren interpretiert Uffe Lorenzen (bekannt von u.a Baby Woodrose und Spids Nogenhat) auf allen seinen Alben ein altes dänisches Lied. Das gilt für seine drei Soloalben und die beiden Alben seiner aktuellen Rockband Lydsyn. Auf seinem neuen Soloalbum Glemte Spor ("Vergessene Spuren") hat er ein komplettes Album mit 10 Interpretationen von Liedern aus den Jahren 1967 bis 1999 aufgenommen. Einige davon sind dänische Klassiker, andere sind eher unbekannte Lieder, die er sich zu eigen gemacht hat. Viele davon können als Protestsongs betrachtet werden oder haben einen anti-war Charakter. ,Ich habe festgestellt, dass ich die Herausforderung, Songs anderer Leute zu interpretieren und sie zu meinen eigenen zu machen, wirklich mag. Sie zu verändern, zu interpretieren und vielleicht sogar zu verbessern. Viele der Songs werden den meisten Menschen unbekannt sein, während andere dänische Klassiker sind. Was sie gemeinsam haben, ist, dass sie mich irgendwie zu dem gemacht haben, der ich bin", sagt Uffe Lorenzen. Das Album wurde zusammen mit Morten Hart Grabowski in einem kleinen Studio in Kopenhagen aufgenommen. In mehr als 20 Sessions haben sie zusammen eine Liste von 50 Songs auf die zehn reduziert, die schließlich auf dem Album gelandet sind. Laut Lorenzen fanden die Aufnahmen in einer sehr entspannten Atmosphäre statt: ,Wir haben etwas Gras geraucht und Rotwein getrunken, was den Prozess sehr entspannt gemacht hat, und ich glaube, das hört man dem Endergebnis auch an." Später übernahm Flemming Rasmussen den Mix und das Mastering in seinem berühmten Sweet Silence Studio. Glemte Spor erscheint am 24. April bei Bad Afro Records und die erste Auflage ist auf 1000 Exemplare auf schwarzem Vinyl limitiert.

From anti-nuclear activism to the Gaggeldub performances, Toni's dug deep into the Dub universe: from Dubstation to Rootsbase to Subardo. By 2012, Toni became a respected operator of Leipzig's Plug Dub Soundsystem. Soon after, he didn't hesitate to create the very own solarpowered Sunplugged sound. Toni's live dub sets hit with all depth and energy of low bass sound culture, shaking the foundations with refreshing freakuency adventures. Als Dublins Gurriers 2024 ihr Debütalbum Come And See veröffentlichten, bewiesen sie eindrucksvoll, dass sie eine der drängendsten und unüberhörbaren neuen Stimmen der boomenden irischen Punk-Szene sind. Aufgenommen in Donegals Attica Studios und den Holy Mountain Studios in London, produziert von Mark Bowen (Idles) und Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter), engineered von Chris Fullard (Idles, Sunn O)))) und gemixt vom weltbekannten John Congleton (St. Vincent, Modest Mouse, Swans) – allein das Team, das sich für LP2 zusammengefunden hat, spricht Bände. Gurriers nehmen alles, was sie von Anfang an großartig gemacht hat – die musikalische Chemie, den klugen, analytischen Blick auf die Welt – und schrauben es konsequent auf das nächste Level.

Von der vibrierenden Spannung der ersten Takte des Titeltracks, die sich in einem kakophonischen, kathartischen Finale entlädt, bis zum Ende: Nobody's Coming To Save You überführt den Geist des schwitzenden Kellerclubs in Stadiondimensionen. According to the court ruling in the lawsuit brought against the band, allegedly by a former technician, this album should have been released under a different name for the group. Perhaps as a provocative nod, the individual who appears on the cover wearing a nut as an oppressive turban is struck on the back cover by the hammers of Justice and the Law. However, the group ignores this and continues to sign as it has been doing since 1983. The musical arrangements are more powerful, with the guitars taking precedence over the rest much more than before. The drums are also more present. The soundscape takes centre stage, even over the lyrics. The opening track, 'Monopoly', is representative of this, with its fast-paced rhythm provided by galloping guitars. Originally released in 1994, it is surprising how, almost ten years after their debut, La Polla Records were still capable of making albums of such intensity.

California Sky is a psychedelic, acoustic ode to Samavayo's 2025 US tour, captures a paradoxical longing for the American desert landscape. It evokes a sense of spiritual belonging in the vast emptiness of Joshua Tree, while reflecting a deep yet helpless emotional connection to the United States and all its contradictions.
