Belgian electronic body-music pioneers A Split-Second deliver an expanded reissue of their influential 1987 debut Ballistic Statues, a landmark of the New Beat and EBM movement. Blending dark electronics, cold-wave tension and precision-driven sequencing, the album helped define a pivotal moment in the late-80s European underground.

This new edition brings together all tracks from the original album and enhances them with essential recordings from the same era, including the band’s complete 1986 debut EP (A Split-Second), the cult Smell of Buddha, and additional period material.

Pressed in a limited run of 500 copies (200 on clear blue and 300 on black vinyl) housed on a gatefold sleeve with a reproduction of the original lyrics insert, an exclusive poster and one postcard.

Ballistic Statues remains a defining statement—raw, innovative and far ahead of its time. This reissue brings together the core foundations of A Split-Second in one essential collection making it ideal for both long-time followers and new listeners discovering the band.

Diese 6-LP-Box enthält den kompletten Soundtrack, der vom langjährigen Komponisten der Serie, Akira Yamaoka, komponiert und sorgfältig arrangiert wurde. Besonderes Augenmerk wurde auch auf die Verpackung gelegt, die Gedanken des Komponisten in einem Buch mit Linernotes enthält.

Yamaoka hat den Soundtrack für das von der Kritik gefeierte Remake von Bloober Team komplett überarbeitet. Brandneue, neu eingespielte Cues für SILENT HILL 2 aus dem Jahr 2024 fangen die unheimliche Atmosphäre der titelgebenden Stadt perfekt ein, indem sie Elemente von Trip-Hop und Industrial Rock mit düsterer Atmosphäre und Musique Concrète verbinden. Für Fans der beliebten Survival-Horror-Serie ist der neue Soundtrack vertraut und neu zugleich.

Der Score führt Yamaokas unnachahmliches Sounddesign und seine ätherischen Arrangements zu neuen Höhen und zeigt seine kreative Entwicklung seit der Veröffentlichung des Originalspiels im Jahr 2001. Brat pack crossover stars Charlie XCX loved Altern 8 rave generation anthem FREQUENCY so much they not only sampled it for the remix of their smash 365 but started their live shows with the remix.

The resulting renewed interest in FREQUENCY has led to four 2025 remixes of the gem which was originally released as a 10,001 numbered limited edition in 1991. That sold out instantly and is now acclaimed as one of the Rave scene’s most enduring classics.

Altern 8’s Mark Archer links up with long time collaborator Shadow Child for the A1 M.A.S.C Extended Remix which delves into the tougher strata of House. A2 comes from Tenerife’s DJ Jonay who delivers a stunning old skool influenced breakbeat mix. A3 is the Aires remix. This was done especially for Altern 8’s appearance at Glastonbury and various other summer festivals where IT WENT OFF! A4 Kin’s Back To 91 Remix is full on drum & bass.

Label artwork is a “tribute” to Charlie XCC graphics - the samplers got sampled and repaid the compliment. Limited edition vinyl.

Following up last summer’s dark and driving ‘Amotik 013’, Amotik returns with the hypnotic rhythms of his next instalment on his self-titled label. For the ‘Amotik 014’ EP, Amotik is joined by Tina Ramamurthy, whom Amotik previously worked with on his 2020 Bpitch record and his second album ‘Patanjali’ in 2022. This time, Ramamurthy joins Amotik for the entire ‘Amotik 014’ EP, with ‘Chauhattar’ starting things off with psychedelic spoken word vocals over dubbed-out hits and a chugging beat.

The track is neatly followed by ‘Pachattar’, which continues that early 2000s drummy, New York feel on the B-side of Amotik’s ‘Amotik 014’. Here, Tina’s vocal echoes through cavernous halls while its massive low-end-heavy drums keep steady in a real trip. ‘Chihattar’ then emerges from the darkness, bright pads and subtle percussion accompanying poetry recited by Tina Ramamurthy, evoking the familiar comforts of nostalgia and closing this three-track EP from the husband and wife duo.

Amulets is the solo project of Portland-based audio and visual artist Randall Taylor. Amulets employs handmade cassette tape loops and live processed guitar loops to create live, lush soundscapes and immersive drones. Through the recontextualisation of cassettes, sampling, field recording, and looping, these long-form compositions blur the genres of ambient, drone, noise, and electronic music. Amulets has steadily built a catalog defined by tactile intimacy and patient exploration. Deeply immersive, the album navigates the dreamy boundaries between the tangible and the ethereal, where sound behaves as memory itself: unstable, layered, and quietly transformative. Known for his ability to weave soundscapes that evoke powerful emotions with minimalistic instrumentation, Taylor's newest project is a masterful exploration of mood, atmosphere, and texture.Throughout the ambient soundscapes is introspection, melancholy, and an almost hypnotic calm. The album resists forward motion, instead inviting the listener to linger inside its evolving textures, to sit with what's left behind rather than rush toward resolution. Central to Amulets' identity is Taylor's insistence on working, quite literally, outside the box. While many contemporary experimental artists rely heavily on software, Taylor's process remains rooted in physical interaction with sound. "This album differs from previous albums because it's a lot of found sounds, song fragments, and other samples that I have that I wanted to fuse together. I also heavily relied on a lot of ambient guitar and live guitar recording to marry all the sounds together." Turbotito and Ragz's electrifying Naya Beat label has curated a cultured list of remixers to add their spin to the work of legendary Indian vocalist Asha Puthli. This essential remix album features Yuksek, Maurice Fulton, Psychemagik, Kraak & Smaak, Jitwam, and Turbotito & Ragz.

Naya Beat, which translates from Hindi as 'new beat', is focused on uncovering foundational electronic sounds from the subcontinent and South Asian diaspora through reissues, remixes and compilations. It found quick success with its first release, 'Naya Beat Volume 1: South Asian Dance and Electronic Music 1983 - 1992', followed by a rare 1985 Hindi New Wave album by Pinky Ann Rihal and more recently a ground-breaking compilation ‘Awaaz’ uncovering Bollywood electro and leftfield 80s original soundtrack recordings.

Hot off their highly sought after EP of Dimitri From Paris’ seminal remixes of Asha Puthli’s iconic track ‘Space Talk’, the label now offers up the first of two full-length releases based around her music. Cosmic disco pioneer, Studio 54 icon and jazz improviser Asha Puthli has recorded, sung or shared the stage with the likes of Roy Ayers, Alice Coltrane, Grace Jones, Barry White, Andy Warhol and many more. From David Mancuso's The Loft, to Giorgio Moroder's early work with Donna Summer, to hip-hop where she has been sampled extensively, Asha's musical influence and impact is profound. She was the first artist of South Asian descent to successfully crossover and make a mark on dance, jazz and pop culture in the West.

For this LP, Naya Beat tracked down the long mythologised original stems and recordings of Puthli's most seminal albums, including ‘The Devil is Loose’, and working closely with Asha, they have tasked a series of producers inspired by her work to remix her music.
Yuksek opens up with a pumping disco remix of 'I Am Song (Sing Me)' awash with uplifting synths and big claps next to the original vocals, which soar to the heavens. The seminal 'Space Talk' is remixed by Maurice Fulton into super steamy and late-night territory. The live drums and jumbled percussion are lit up with soulful chords as Puthli's carefully delivered vocals seduce up top. 'Lies' (Kraak & Smaak Remix) rides on fat-bottomed drums and bass that unfold with a dub swagger beneath a nebulous eco-system of cosmic synths and dramatic vocals. Label heads Turbotito & Ragz flip 'One Night Affair' into a leggy disco celebration with sweeping synths and bright effects, and Psychemagik's 'Right Down Here' is a pulsating mix of dark, snaking bass and drums with deep space ambience and raw hits making for a turbulent and tense atmosphere. Lastly, Jitwam closes out with a smooth disco sound laced with dynamic drums and cruising chords next to another sensuous top line from Asha Puthli.

Chris Stussy ‘A Glimmer Of Hope’ EP in now being re-issued due to demand on LTD edition transparent red vinyl.

Amsterdam based producer and DJ Chris Stussy has become one of the most eminent figures in the contemporary house scene of the Netherlands and across the globe over the past 10 years, racking up releases on the likes of Eastenderz, Moscow, PIV, Contstant Sound and most recently his own Up The Stuss imprint.

Leading the release is ‘Central Frenzy’, laid out across six and a half minutes with skippy percussion, a snaking bass groove, intricate synth sequences and sweeping vocal chants. ‘Riva De Biasio’ follows and tips the focus over to airy atmospherics a jazz-tinged bass groove and squelchy acid licks atop swinging drums.

‘Deviant Shadow’ opens the flip-side and merges an amalgamation of expansive dub chords and bouncy sub bass tones with a robust 4/4 rhythm. Lastly to round things out is title-cut ‘A Glimmer Of Hope’, wrapping up the release on a deeper tip courtesy of ethereal pad swells, metallic synth licks and shuffled drums.
