2024 Repress

Holden's third release on SK_eleven, Dust, showcases a striking evolution of his signature dark, driving sound. Rhythms are as urgent and rooted in the dancefloor as ever, but melodies have grown more haunting and emotive. This release sees Holden charting new sonic territory with two ambient tracks to open and close the record. Opener "Dust" brings melody and harmony to the foreground to set the emotional tone for the peak-time techno tracks that follow, while the closing track, "Frost", ends the EP on a more hopeful note, its yearning melody disappearing into the mist beyond the sunlight.

Coming in with four warm groovers, GRECS005 belongs to James Andrew. James is a familiar face to many and has been refining his craft for years. This EP is a reflection of calm dedication paired with buttery studio skills. Savour The Flavour EP is a quietly confident set of smooth rolling tunes.

Jing present’s 'Psychiatric Population’ a four track EP containing Jing's sound illusions, that challenge all forms of genre definitions, Jing further explicate's her work as a true creative .

King Street Sounds is on a mission to reintroduce timeless house classics to the dancefloor with another iconic release. Their aim, to educate a new generation about the sounds of the old school while also offering fresh remixes for everyone to enjoy.Kerri Chandler's 'Bar A Thym' is back on 12-inch vinyl, featuring the full original 7:24 mix. This track builds, keeping listeners at the brink of euphoria and inviting them to dance. It’s THE perfect groove.The original track is accompanied by a new version via South African producer Themba who adds his signature afro sound to the mix, infusing the song with swing, extra percussion, and heightened anticipation around the various drops.Then the classic Foremost Poet's version, which was a great alternative to the timeless bomb. If you’re a house head, you need this in your life.

Another one from Lloydie Slim, this time on his Ivanhoe the Conqueror label. This is the horns cut of his killer lick of drum song, by sax man Lennox Brown. A different mix of this was released on the flip side of the New York pressing of Tappa Zukie’s cut, where it was titled “Ivanhoe Strikes Again.” This mix, with its dub version, were put to tape for a single release titled “Danger Zone” which never happened at the time in the late ‘70s. Another previously unreleased heater, now you can play this one alongside the other cuts of this rhythm appearing on our Record Smith compilation albums.

Im Gegensatz zu den früheren Alben der Lost Boys, die innerhalb eines bestimmten Zeitraums produziert wurden, entstand „Pale Bloom“ langsam und versuchte, einen Schöpfungsmythos in seinem Bernstein einzufrieren – eine Ursprungsgeschichte, die uralt und komplex ist, voller Geheimnisse und Metaphern, die weder einer Klärung noch eines Endes bedarf. Jede Veröffentlichung der Lost Boys wagt sich in neues musikalisches und lyrisches Terrain vor. Von allen greift „Pale Bloom“ am weitesten zurück in die Kindheit und findet unbewusst die Rhythmen und Erzählstile, die in den Zwängen einer religiösen Erziehung verwurzelt sind. Beim Durchforsten der vergessenen Akkorde, Refrains und Melodien aus alten Kinderreimen und Volksliedern entdeckten sie den Wunsch, diese überlieferten Klänge in Richtung persönlicherer Wahrheiten zu verändern. Dieser Impuls ist auf dem gesamten Album präsent und in Krugers ebenso klangvoller wie euphorischer Stimme zu hören, wenn sie die verschiedenen lyrischen Formen um ihre eigene Sehnsucht, Trauer und Begierde herumlegt und sie darauf vorbereitet, in der üppigen und großzügigen Subversion der erinnerten Rhythmen der Band zu landen. Im Gegensatz zu ihrem Auftritt auf „Heaving“ und „A Human Home“ sind die Streicher hier weniger affektiert und haben einen eher düsteren und ernsten Charakter angenommen. Sie streben nach einer komplexen Art von Himmel, der durch das Gewicht und die Bodenständigkeit der Grooves ermöglicht wird, die sowohl stoisch als auch ausdrucksstark sind. Die Gitarren bewegen sich frei zwischen weitläufigen, voluminösen Räumen und sind ebenso knirschend wie sanft. Kruger nahm das Album mit ihren Bandkollegen und ihrem engen Mitarbeiter André Leo über einen Zeitraum von sechs Monaten in verschiedenen Studios in Berlin auf. Das Album wurde von Simon Ratcliffe gemischt.

Airtight released the Salt City Orchestra remix back in 1998, now 27 years later the Salt City Orchestra remix is available once more for a new generation of vinyl buyers. This time the vinyl features a contemporary remix from newcomer MIDGE who delivers a different take, alongside for the first time on vinyl, the Frits Wentink & Trevino remixes that were both originally released in 2013. Forms in Motion marks the debut release from Earthbound Recordings, a new label founded by producer Mihail P as a home for deep, transportive electronics. Active since 2016 and known for releases on labels such as Seventh Sign Recordings, Verdant, Distant Worlds, Magnonic Signals, Propersound, and Nebulae, Mihail P launches this new chapter with a four-track EP that pays homage to the 90s UK techno and Detroit lineage.

“Millenium” sets the tone with layered pads and cosmic momentum, nodding to 7th Plain. “Echo Drift” fuses crisp electro rhythms with spacious melodic detail, while “Green Route” reflects the melodic introspection of Likemind Records. The closer, “Shape Without Form”, dives into abstract territory with glimmers of early AFX.

“It’s been a dream to form my own label for years,” says Mihail P. “This felt like the right time to create a space for timeless music that doesn’t chase trends.”
