Back in 2025 Ace Records were delighted to release a collection curated by Paul Weller of some of his favourite soul music. We now present a second volume where Paul digs even deeper to present another set of favourite tracks.

These 24 gems spread over four sides of vinyl and on one CD give us a wide angle perspective of Paul’s listening habits and include Charles Sheffield’s ‘It’s Your Voodoo Working’, Candi Staton’s ‘Too Hurt To Cry’, Garland Green’s ‘You Played On A Player’, Millie Foster’s ‘Love Wheel’, Bo Diddley’s ‘Road Runner’, the Cookies ‘Chains’ and The Mystic Moods ‘Cosmic Sea’.

As Paul states in his introduction, “I hope you enjoy this compilation, it’s the sort of thing I would have made up on a mix-cassette 30 years-plus ago. Some of it you will know, some maybe you won’t. It’s not about point scoring anyway, it’s only about how the music hits you and affects you. I hope you enjoy it”

This compilation is a must have for both Paul Weller fans and soul fans worldwide.
