Brandon Flowers, Frontmann der weltweit erfolgreichen Rockband The Killers, kehrt mit seinem ersten
Soloalbum seit über zehn Jahren zurück. Mit „THRASHER“ präsentiert er sein bislang persönlichstes
Album, das sich intensiv mit seinen Wurzeln, seiner Familie und den Geschichten seiner Heimat Utah
auseinandersetzt.
Den ersten Vorgeschmack liefert die Single „Plans“. Sie wurde zusammen mit dem restlichen Album
im historischen RCA Studio A in Nashville aufgenommen. Der Song vereint Flowers’ unverwechselbares
Storytelling mit einem warmen, organischen Sound zwischen Americana, Country und Rock.
Produziert wurde das Album von dem mehrfach Grammy-prämierten Shawn Everett sowie von Jonathan

Als Gitarrist Grant Green im September 1964 zum ersten Mal mit dem Hammond-Organisten Larry Young
und dem Schlagzeuger Elvin Jones ins Studio ging, um das mitreißende Trio-Album “Talkin’ About!”
einzuspielen, lag Hochspannung in der Luft. Zwischen den drei Musikern entwickelte sich auf Anhieb eine
besondere Chemie, die nach einer Fortsetzung der Zusammenarbeit verlangte. Bereits zwei Monate später
kehrten sie mit dem Vibrafonisten Bobby Hutcherson ins Studio zurück, um das Album “Street of Dreams”
aufzunehmen, auf dem sie sich von ihrer subtileren Seite zeigten. Bei der Zusammenstellung des Repertoires, das von atmosphärischer Eleganz geprägt ist, setzten die Musiker auf seltener gespielte Standards
und Songs, die normalerweise nicht von Jazzinstrumentalisten aufgenommen werden.

Man könnte fast meinen, dass Jimmy Smith um jeden Preis seine Vielseitigkeit beweisen wollte, als er
im Februar 1958 mit seiner Entourage in den Ballsaal des Manhattan Towers Hotels einzog, der von Rudy
Van Gelder in ein Aufnahmestudio umgewandelt worden war. Binnen zwei Tagen machte der Meister der
Hammond-B3-Orgel dort Aufnahmen für drei sehr unterschiedliche Platten. Am 25. Februar zunächst mit
einem mit Blue-Note-Stars gespickten Sextett für das ausgelassene Album “House Party” und das eher
bluesig-andächtige “The Sermon”. Am darauffolgenden Tag ging er mit zwei unterschiedlichen klassischen
Orgel-Trio-Besetzungen erneut zu Werke, um “Softly as a Summer Breeze” einzuspielen - ein schwungvolles
Album mit teils balladesken Standards, einer cool groovenden Eigenkomposition und einem Stück von Thelonious Monk.

Mit „Goodbye Logik“ veröffentlichten Madsen am 11. August 2006 ihr zweites Studioalbum. Nach dem
gleichnamigen Debüt ein Jahr zuvor markierte das Folgewerk einen wichtigen Schritt in der Entwicklung
der Band: Die Energie und Direktheit der frühen Jahre blieb erhalten, gleichzeitig wurden das Songwriting
und die thematische Bandbreite exponentiell erweitert. Der Longplayer erreichte erstmals die Top 10 der
deutschen Album-Charts und etablierte Madsen dauerhaft in der deutschsprachigen Rocklandschaft.
Zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum erscheint „Goodbye Logik“ am 21. August 2026 nun als neu aufgelegte und
strikt auf 1.000 Exemplare limitierte LP in transparentem Vinyl. Die Wiederveröffentlichung rückt ein
Album in den Mittelpunkt, das viele zentrale Elemente des Madsen-Kosmos bereits vereinte: persönliche
Beobachtungen, gesellschaftliche Kommentare und eine klare Haltung, getragen von Songs zwischen IndieRock, Punk-Einflüssen und melodischen Pop-Refrains.
Mit Titeln wie „Du schreibst Geschichte“, „Ein Sturm“, „Der Moment“ oder dem titelgebenden „Goodbye
Logik“ enthält das etliche Songs, die bis heute zum festen Repertoire der Band gehören. Die elf Stücke
dokumentieren eine Phase, in der Madsen ihren eigenen Stil weiter schärften und gleichzeitig den Übergang
von einer aufstrebenden Festival-Band zu einer festen nationalen Größe vollzogen.
Die „20th Anniversary Edition“ lädt dazu ein, „Goodbye Logik“ in seiner ursprünglichen Form neu zu
und/oder wiederzuentdecken – als Momentaufnahme einer Band, die Mitte der 2000er Jahre ihren Platz gefunden hatte und deren Songs auch zwei Jahrzehnte später nichts von ihrer Unmittelbarkeit und Dringlichkeit
verloren haben.
Als besonderes Schmankerl liegt jeder Vinyl ein signierter Kunstdruck im Breitbild-Format bei, das ein
unveröffentlichtes Band-Foto von Ingo Pertramer zeigt. Zudem hat Sebastian Madsen persönliche Linernotes mit Blick in den eigenen Band-Historie-Rückspiegel verfasst.

"Nido de Espinas" is the fourteenth studio album by Buitres. Uruguayan Punk Rock band formed in 1989, heirs to the legacy of the iconic Post Punk band "Los Estómagos" It began to be composed in 2022 and was recorded in early 2024. The texts are inspired by the Diary of a Desperate Heart, an arbitrary overflow of feelings written disorderedly with an improvised rein, which demanded exhaustive work from the band to reach maximum expression in each track. Artistic production was handled by Ale Vázquez (Spinetta, Intoxicados and more) and Sebastián Teysera (La Vela Puerca), who landed the runaway chariot set on fire. buitres formed in late 1989, following the dissolution of the group Los Estómagos, a band that sparked a new era of Uruguayan rock in 1983. José "Pepe" Rambao, a close friend since childhood, joined the Parodi-Peluffo duo. Buitres has toured extensively throughout the entire Uruguayan territory and has participated in massive international shows both in Uruguay and abroad. Additionally, they have completed six tours across Spain, where the album En la Vuelta (CD and DVD) was released. Their discography features 14 studio albums. They have released three live albums, two documentary DVDs, and three live DVDs. Three books have been published about the band. The band has received numerous acolytes and awards, but most importantly, after more than thirty years, they continue to maintain a close and emotional relationship with their audience - one that has endured throughout their history and grows over time. A long-overdue return to one of the most singular moments in Nurse With Wound's sprawling discography. Originally issued in 1994, Rock 'n' Roll Station marked a turning point - the album where Steven Stapleton's decades-long engagement with collage, musique concrète, and the outer limits of post-industrial sound first met the hypnotic, rhythm-driven studio sensibility of Colin Potter. What began as a request to rework some of the more percussive sections of 1992's Thunder Perfect Mind mutated, under Potter's hand, into something else entirely: an hour of swivelling grooves, warped exotica, and looping psychedelia, channelling the ghosts of Pérez Prado, Graham Bond, Joe Meek, and Jacques Berrocal into the most rhythm-conscious work the group had ever made. London's Spearmint follow-up their acclaimed 2023 record `This Candle Is For You' with the ambitious new concept album `Chase Me' New single "1986" evokes a time when the world wasn't connected by technology, but there was still a strong connection across the globe: music. Specifically in the song, it's folk in Newcastle and Madrid who are dancing to the same music. The vinyl version also features an exclusive track "Is It Just Nostalgia?" which sees the band time-travelling past `The Tube' and `Soul Train` to Friday nights of the past. Standby for the follow-up single in July_ Spearmint have been making great records since debut `A Week Away' in 1999 (`Sweeping The Nation', `A Trip Into Space', `We're Going Out'). Still the same line-up: Shirley Lee (singing, guitar), Simon Calnan (singing, keyboards), James Parsons (guitar) and Ronan Larvor (drums). This will be their eleventh album proper and the 65th release on their own hitBACK label. Re-united with producer Rhodri Marsden (Scritti Politti, Cardiacs), the `Chase Me' album tells a story of success, disillusionment, disconnection, peril, and resurrection. Anchored by three chases across a city at night, book-ended by two out-of-body experiences, and working towards a suite of uplifting love songs, it's a thriller, it's a horror, it's an allegory. Song-writer Shirley explains "The story would make a good movie I think_ but we don't know how to do that, so we did this." `Chase Me' will be available digitally, and on limited edition CD and vinyl. The vinyl version will be released on WIAIWYA records, and will include an exclusive 24 page full-colour lyric book, including photos and illustrations. Spearmint will premiere songs from the album alongside tracks from their catalogue that haven't been played for years, or ever in one instance, live at Colours in Hoxton, London, on Tuesday 29th September 2026.

Die Veröffentlichung bringt frühe Demos und seltene Studioaufnahmen in eine kohärente Edition und richtet sich an Sammler und Freunde der regionalen Alternativszene. Musikalisch verbindet Marcus 5 alternative Funkelemente mit einem ausgeprägten Rhythmusfundament, zugleich sind Anklänge an New-Romantic- und Coldwave-Ästhetik spürbar. Charakteristisch für die Gruppe waren prägnante Basslinien, synkopierte Gitarren und eine ausgeprägte Bühnenpräsenz, die der Band in Ljubljana schnell lokale Aufmerksamkeit brachte. Diese stilistische Mischung sowie die knappen, melodisch orientierten Arrangements zeichnen den Sound aus und geben dem Material eine eigenständige Spur in der damaligen Szene. YHWH Nailgun waren schon immer von einer schonungslosen Direktheit geprägt. Was einst als rohes Duo begann, hat sich längst zu einer kompromisslosen Band entwickelt, deren Klang ebenso aggressiv wie eigenständig ist. Mit ihrem neuen Album Magazine schärfen sie dieses Profil weiter und entziehen sich bewusst jeder klaren Einordnung. Das kurze, nur etwa elf Minuten lange Werk wirkt wie ein konzentrierter Ausbruch von Energie. Schon der Opener "Ghost of Love" baut sich langsam auf, bevor Schlagzeug und grelle Gitarren plötzlich mit voller Wucht einsetzen. Diese Idee des "Ein- und Ausblendens" verstehen sie nicht nur als Stilmittel, sondern als Hinweis darauf, dass ihre Musik über das Hörbare hinaus weiterexistiert. Im Vergleich zum Debüt 45 Pounds zeigt sich Magazine reduzierter und präziser. Das Schlagzeug klingt roher, fast karg, während der Fokus stärker auf Klarheit liegt-vor allem bei Zack Borzones Stimme. Statt sich hinter Effekten zu verstecken, tritt sein Gesang nun unverhüllt hervor. Seine Texte, voller düsterer Bilder und religiöser Symbolik, gewinnen dadurch an Gewicht: Visionen von Asche, Blut und mythischen Kreaturen entfalten eine unmittelbare, beinahe bedrückende Intensität. Religiöse Motive waren schon immer zentral für die Band, doch auf Magazine werden sie klarer ausgesprochen. Der Name YHWH verweist selbst auf das unaussprechliche Gottesbild; nun stehen Themen wie Gott, Teufel und Moral offen im Raum. Im abschließenden Track "To the Devil" kulminiert dies in einer fast beschwörenden Atmosphäre, die zugleich beunruhigt und fasziniert. Trotz ihrer extremen Klangsprache verfolgen YHWH Nailgun keinen konfrontativen Ansatz gegenüber anderen Genres. Ihr Fokus liegt allein auf dem eigenen kreativen Raum-fern von Trends oder Erwartungen. Magazine wirkt dadurch wie ein Fragment eines endlosen musikalischen Flusses: kurz, intensiv und bewusst unvollständig, als würde die eigentliche Musik jenseits des Albums weiterlaufen.

Studio Barnhus presents Fold, the first full-length release on the label from Stockholm-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer MOLØ: a patiently unfolding album of club-adjacent lullabies, soft-focus breakbeats and open-window electronics. Following 2024’s Aqua Lull and 2025’s Don’t Change EP with Slackin Beats, MOLØ returns to Barnhusgatan with her most fully realised work yet – an album built like a night slowly finding its shape, starting somewhere quiet and letting the music grow and shift. The result is Fold: eight tracks moving freely between rooms and tempos, held together by MOLØ’s sense of atmosphere, melody and pace. There are pads with endless skies in them, field recordings whispering from the corners, melodies suddenly appearing, having been waiting patiently for the right light.
As often with Studio Barnhus, friends old and new are invited in. Swedish jazz pianist Albin Söderbäck leaves his mark on Cloud and Sväva, bringing a warm, searching musicality that nods gently towards MOLØ’s favourite jazz-fusion records. On Le, Diane Emerita’s fragile voice slips in between the breaks, making the track feel at once human and unreal. Off The Meds frontman Kamohelo keeps it cool as ever on the dynamic stepper Bump.
Then there is Malmö, featuring Norwegian songwriter and vocalist Ane Brun. MOLØ sent Brun the instrumental because she could already hear her voice inside the music – what came back felt so natural, it was as if the whole track had been written around it from the start.
Elsewhere, DJ favourite Fluff captures a different kind of magic: made in MOLØ’s Berlin apartment one spring evening, barely changed since its first draft, then road-tested immediately on a late-night walk through the city with the demo on repeat, strangers moving through the frame.
Fold is a record about trusting the long way round. In a time of shrinking attention spans and growing impatience, MOLØ chooses the scenic route, with curiosity, generosity and enough confidence to let the listener get a little lost

Following the cult success of the first 2 EPs, Common Saints presents the debut album "Cinema 3000", the theme continues, blending soul, funk, and psychedelic influences with the organic sound and rich instrumentation that Common Saints has become known for Conceived in 2020 by writer / producer Charlie J Perry the production approach for Commons Saints consists of him playing and recording real instruments in his London home studio. One mike for the drums, his beloved piano and amps up loud! The album encapsulates the old school recording approach and musicianship the discerning ear craves but with a more modern punch - a true sonic bath for all the connoisseurs out there. Think, UK"s equivalent to Tame Impala and Khruangbin.

Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM, Heartland and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled ‘Power’.
"Power" was first released as a CD back in 1994 on the Music For Nations label and subsequently re-released in 2008 on Escape Music (ESM176). Atlantic raised many eyebrows with this release which can be ranked alongside bands such as “Heartland” "Dare" and "Shy" (Tony Mills also guests on the album!).
Band members include Simon Harrison on guitar and keyboards and the great Phil Bates (Trickster/Quill) on lead vocals, guitars and keyboards. The album had so much potential at the time it is a shame that it did not receive the recognition it richly deserved. With the 2xLP, you finally get to enjoy the full album, they way it was meant to be heard. What makes this 10th Anniversary reissue even heavier is that Paten Locke passed in 2019 and never got to see the full impact of his work, so this release doubles as a delicious celebration of Paten's lifelong creative pursuits & accomplishments.

“Windborne” originally released in 2018 was the debut album from young Norwegian power-trio Kanaan. With components
from jazz, fusion and post-rock they have created six extended pieces of blazing freeform psychedelia. While the band is rooted in the same spirit that gave birth to Mahavishnu Orchestra and The Eleventh House in the 1970s, there's a distinctive modern flavour to Kanaan's sonic endeavors. Their Scandinavian genealogy is apparent as well - their intricate song structures seems to be branching off the same stem as Motorpsycho, Papir and Jaga Jazzist. And no doubt the young band has the chops to carry on the pedigree! Opening track ”A. Hausenbecken” feels like a sudden blast of refreshing nordic air, with it's rolling guitar leads and growling Fender Rhodes. But Kanaan aren't afraid to get deep and heavy – the B-side dives into straight-up Sabbath territory, with ”Act Upon The Mundane World” and ”The Groke”, before ending the album with the abstract, free-flowing title track ”Windborne”. Having recorded with UFO, Babe Ruth, Cozy Powell's Hammer, Paice Ashton Lord and on countless chart hits for RAK Records as Mickey Most's studio session guitarist, Bernie was a founding member of Whitesnake. in just four years, Whitesnake became firmly established as one of the very biggest British rock bands, racking up multiple chart singles and albums.After leaving Whitesnake in 1982, Bernie Marsden was almost constantly writing, recording or touring. Although a revered guitarist of exquisite touch, which mercifully is preserved for us to enjoy on hundreds of studio recordings, it was on stage where his charisma and wit was best enjoyed.

Robag Wruhme is the solo alias of Gabor Schablitzki, a quietly singular voice in minimal and house music since the early 2000s. His sound is built on precision without ever feeling rigid. Instead of chasing big moments, he lets tracks unfold through subtle movement and carefully balanced tension, always evolving but never rushing.

That same approach runs through this EP. It's about letting momentum emerge naturally, allowing each element to settle into place while the energy continues to build.

Across four tracks, Robag creates a world where rhythm and atmosphere constantly shape one another. The arrangements are rich with detail, yet nothing competes for attention. Even in the densest passages, every sound feels deliberate.

OLAHNI opens patiently, with ghostly textures and hypnotic vocal fragments setting the tone before the bassline slowly comes into focus. The arrangement keeps evolving, with subtle details drifting in and out as the groove steadily deepens.
IFTHAH takes things into darker territory, driven by a heavy rolling bassline and a looping motif that never quite loosens its grip, adding weight without disrupting the flow.

On FUMAXOHN, the groove remains tight while the mood shifts. A warm harmonic layer gradually emerges as the vocals dissolve into texture, drawing the track towards something more melancholic.
PENTHO closes the EP in its most direct form. Stripped back and driving, it lands with quiet confidence, bringing the journey to a close while holding onto the hypnotic tension that defines the record.

There is a kinetic energy that binds drummer and producer Karriem Riggins and singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer Liv.e, the spark that happens when instinct meets flow and spirit finds rhythm.

Their collaborative debut as GENA (short for “God Energy, Naturally Amazing,” and loosely inspired by Gina from Martin), The Pleasure Is Yours feels like a playful, soulful conversation between two kindred improvisers: Liv.e’s smoky, unpolished vocals glide through Riggins’ warm, percussive universe. Rooted in jazz, soul, and hip-hop, Liv.e brings a raw, experimental approach to R&B, while Riggins known for his work with Common, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Madlib, and his close kinship with J Dilla, extends his lifelong dialogue between jazz improvisation and beat science.

Together they create a world that’s analog and ethereal, percussive and poetic, bridging eras without settling in one, the sound of two artists finding a new shared language rooted in rhythm, vulnerability, and exuberance.

Pressed on 180g vinyl, the album comes in an embossed sleeve and is avaible in red and black splatter.

Hatchback is the alias of Samuel Milton Grawe. Sam creates music that sings of the Cosmos, full of deep resonant tones, glistening arpeggios, lush pads and harmonic motifs. ‘Phaser For The Ocean, Chorus For The Moon’ is his magnum opus, a sprawling masterwork that encompasses ambient, new age and environmental music to wondrous effect. Soaked in Californian consciousness, the album is a balm like no other for these troubled times.

When I first was getting into the creative side of music making in my teens, I was heavily influenced by concept albums like ‘Quadrophenia’ and ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’, as well as epic pieces that took up an entire side of a record: Pink Floyd’s ‘Echoes’, Yes’ ‘Close To The Edge’, Klaus Schulze’s ‘Nowhere Now Here’, Miles Davis' ‘Shhh/Peaceful’ and ‘He Loved Him Madly’. In the extreme, these ideas coalesced in double albums where each side of each record is occupied by a single title - Yes’ ‘Tales From Topographic Oceans’, and Tangerine Dream’s ‘Zeit’ being primary examples. When I returned to making music after moving back to Northern California in 2020, the first piece I recorded landed around the 20-minute mark, and the idea of creating three other long pieces to realize a full album felt like a natural - if indulgent - goal.
