Adrix has consistently produced some of the most outlandish »visitors from outer space« music released on the label. It sounds less like an illustration than the visitors themselves arriving, each track a life form landing on a spotlight-lit dancefloor. They dance with individual moves, none flashy or outrageous. Each track lasts two or three minutes, with the durability of pop music to catch your attention. But once you settle in and turn the tracks over in your memory, »pop« becomes just a convenient word. Different alloys, a different craft. No special skills or knowledge of music production are needed, nor an accurate interpretation or knowledge of its history, origins, masters, or innovators.
