This summer is all about the Toxic Funk jams over at Breaknbeat Paradise Recordings and for the 15th installment of the Toxic Funk series we have welcomed back the Suckaside team to produce 2 timeless funky joints.

Suckaside aka DJ B-Side and Sucka Timmy is always on point when putting their tasty funky mashups together and this time around they're keeping it fresh with some soulful funky twists on some catchy RnB jams.

This is the second time Suckaside is dropping a toxic funk 7"inch after their highly successful Vol. 7 from 2021.

Starting things off with the catchy Sometimes Bootyful that featuring some smooth RnB vocals on a funky organ riff with a steady rocking breakbeat.

On the b-side the smoothness continues on the highly addictive Sugar Face, that's take a big slow-rockin' groove and mashes it with some catchy RnB vocals that will leave you asking for more every time it's played.

16 Jahre nach dem letzten Studioalbum kommt das neue Album von LOIKAEMIE mit Namen "Menschen"! "Anschnallen! Unglaublich, aber wahr! Verdammte Axt!" Die Worte von Sachsens größtem Punkfestival hätten keinen Funken kleiner sein dürfen. Mit ihrem Überraschungs-Headliner verkündete das Back To Future 2019: LOIKAMIE ist wieder da! Innerhalb von fünf Jahren ging so gleich zweimal ein Ruck durch die europäische Oi!- und (Street-)Punk-Szene: Schwer die Emotionen beim Abschied 2014, umso größer die Euphorie beim Live-Comeback! Und noch größer angesichts 12 neuer Songs! Seit 2019 ist LOIKAEMIE wieder eine feste Größe, weit oben in den Lineups der Festivals und den Clubs, und das weit über Deutschland hinaus. Thomas, Eddie, Paul und Bruno konnten live nicht nur nahtlos anknüpfen, sondern eine Stufe emporsteigen, auf den Konzerten trifft sich Jung und Alt in seiner ganzen subkulturellen Vielfalt, LOIKAEMIE ist eine Band, auf die sich - im besten Sinne - alle einigen können. Auch die Kreativität ist wieder erwacht: 2022 erschienen mit "Lumpenmann" und "Tief im Herzen" die ersten neuen Songs seit 2007 (digital und als limitierte 7"-Single), dazu gesellen sich bisher "Was Soll Die Ganze Scheisse?" und "Lasst Uns rein", alles Vorboten des nun erscheinenden fünften Studioalbums "Menschen" und schon auf einer Menge Playlists zuhause. Kein Wunder, dass nach 16 Jahren die Erwartungen riesig sind, bei den Fans wie der Band selbst. Und ,Menschen" ist nicht weniger als ein Manifest dessen, wie Punkrock im Jahr 2023 klingen muss: Rotzig und melodisch, kompromisslos und reflektiert, politisch und gut gelaunt. Alle zwölf Ohrenfräsen atmen den unverkennbaren LOIKAEMIE-Spirit und doch ist ,Menschen" ein Riesenschritt nach vorn. Schon der überaus modern klingende Opener ,Wenn wir alle so wären" fegt alles weg, was derzeit belanglos auf Allgemeinplätzen durch den Punk pogt, vom anschließenden hymnischen Titeltrack bis zur abschließenden Selbsteinladung ,Lasst und rein" bleibt die Energie ganz oben, gleichzeitig ist das Album vielschichtig wie nie zuvor in der Bandgeschichte. Zu Streetpunk- und Rock'n'Roll-Brettern gesellt sich Reggea, Sprechgesang, Ballade und Melodien, die sich auch im Pop nicht verstecken müssten. Statt markiger Statements erzählen die Texte pointierte Geschichten, teilen durchdachte Gedanken zu aktuellen Miseren in der Welt, der Szene oder im eigenen Kopf. Aber es gibt auch keine Scheu vorm hymnischen Refrain, den fortan volle Konzertsäle gemeinsam intonieren können. Oi!, was sind das knallende Hits! Labels Theory Therapy and co:clear come together to release the debut album by Italy-based artist CHANTSSSS (with a special feature from k2dj, aka Ben Bondy).

‘Shyness’ suggests something subtle, intricate and ethereal – but it also demands your attention. Over 10 tracks of spacious, sub-aquatic ambience, CHANTSSSS pulls you deep into his vaporous sound world. The songs themselves, a blend of ambient pop, chamber music and pulsing low end rhythms, feel cloaked in mystery. Layers of reverb and zonked vocals float in the atmosphere, moving between and through one another, mist on mist. It’s not necessarily a quiet record, the low end can shake a room if you turn the volume up, but it does feel extremely intimate – proof that some art speaks loudest in its quietest moments.

Auf zehn Tracks tanzt die Band zwischen Konvention und Experiment, indem sie Linkskurven und Umwege macht, die die reiche Bildsprache und Emotion in Caves herzergreifenden Erzählungen verstärken. Acid-washed motorik drone with buried vocals from experimental duo.
Follows up, thirteen years later, from critically acclaimed album Common Era.

Realistic IX, the third full-length by the duo of Michael Jones and Turk Dietrich aka Belong, is both an expansion and excavation of their signature acid-washed songcraft.

Bleached guitars, metronomic drums, and buried voices rev, swirl, and seethe across shifting gradients of haze and hypnosis, alternately driving and diffuse. Melodies surge closer to the surface, flexing their form before resubmerging into quickening currents of feedback. Elsewhere the elements dissipate into a dusk of murk and microtonalities, electricity liberated back into infinite night.
Although it’s been thirteen years since Belong’s prior Kranky offering, Common Era, none of the duo’s rare synergy has decayed in the interim. Jones and Dietrich’s commitment to oblique states of motorik drone and liminal emotion continues to evolve and unfold, increasingly tactile and unreal, an alluring glow glimpsed through fogged windows at witching hours.

Wenn man zu sich selbst zurückkehren will, muss man manchmal alles abschütteln, was man einst für real hielt. „Human Human“, das Debütalbum der Chicagoer Sängerin, Songwriterin und Produzentin Carlile, strahlt wie ein Leuchtfeuer von diesem Ort der Transformation. „Human Human“ ist ein von ganzem Herzen kommendes und unerschöpflich großzügiges Pop-Schätzchen, das vor Freude über die uneingeschränkte Selbstakzeptanz strahlt - und über all die unangenehmen, erschreckenden Momente der Hingabe, die es braucht, um an einen Ort zu gelangen, an dem man sich endlich in sein eigenes schönes Chaos verlieben kann. Carlile ist der zweite Vorname und das Pseudonym von Emily Nichols, einer langjährigen Figur in Chicagos blühendem Underground-Musik-Ökosystem. In den letzten zehn Jahren hat sie eine ganze Reihe glänzender Synthpop-EPs veröffentlicht und ist als Vorgruppe für namhafte Indie-Künstler aufgetreten. In dieser Zeit hat sie akribisch den Grundstein für ihr Debütalbum „Human Human“ gelegt, ein unbefangen verspieltes und aufregendes Synthie-Pop-Werk, das in seinen kühnen, ausladenden Bögen an die Wärme von Robyn und den Glanz von MUNA erinnert. Ein Album, das das Vergnügen auskostet, einen ganzen Regenbogen von Gefühlen an die Wand zu spritzen. Auf „Human Human“ konzentrierte sich Nichols auch auf die Erweiterung ihrer Produktionsfähigkeiten, ein Schritt, der ihr die Freiheit gab, ihre Songs von der Idee bis zur Ausführung bis ins letzte Detail zu realisieren. „Vor diesem Album habe ich mich bei der Produktion eher zurückgehalten. Dies waren die ersten Songs, bei denen ich die Führung übernommen habe", sagt sie. Nichols arbeitete mit ihrem langjährigen Mitarbeiter Noam Wallenberg zusammen, um die Demos, die sie aufgenommen hatte, zu kristallisieren. Gemeinsam haben Nichols und Wallenberg den Glanz, der „Human Human“ auszeichnet, herausgearbeitet, indem sie Songs wie „Illusion“ mit zarten stimmlichen Akzenten versahen und in „Fake Nice“ Schichten über Schichten von freilaufenden Harmonien säten. Die US-amerikanische Singer-Songwriter-Legende Amy Rigby hat ihr neues Album "Hang In There With Me" zusammen mit Wreckless Eric im gemeinsamen Zuhause des Paares im ländlichen Upstate New York aufgenommen. Die elf aktuellen Songs erlauben einen fesselnden Einblick in ihr Leben der letzten Jahre. Sterblichkeit, Alter und jugendliche Fehltritte werden in Amys einfühlsamen Texten nicht sehnsuchtsvoll, sondern vielmehr entschlossen und triumphierend reflektiert. Indem sie die Einblicke und den Humor des Country- und Folk-Songwritings mit klassischem Rockhandwerk und dem DIY-Spirit des Punks verbindet, hat sich Amy Rigby als eine von Amerikas beständigsten Underground-, Kult- und Indie-Künstlerinnen etabliert. Sie gründete die Pre-Americana Country-Band "Last Roundup" (Rounder) und Richard Hells Lieblings-Girlgroup "The Shams" (Matador) im New Yorker Underground, bevor sie mit dem klassischen Album "Diary Of A Mod Housewife" in den 90ern ihre Solokarriere startete.

Original released in 1971 by the BAG groups (Black Artist Groupe) own label "Universal Justice Records" this album has for years been an impossible to find/listen to album, and this is its first reissue ever ..

Ofamfa by The Children Of The Sun, a band lead by poet/musicien Ajule/aka Bruce Rutlin Is a heady mix of poetry/jazz/political songs/ and a document of a comunity avent. The BAG group being about all the arts theater and dance.

THE LIGHT IS LEAVING US ALL is one of the C93 albums that haunts me the most. I was OverMoon and Blessed to work on it with the Astonishing Aeonic Beautiful Talents of Reinier Van Houdt, Alasdair Roberts, Ossian Brown, Rita Knuistingh Neven, Andrew Liles, Aloma Ruiz Boada, Michael York, Davide Pepe, Ania Goszczyńska, and Giulio Di Mauro. Once again, the Voice in the Mask of one of my favourite authors, and longest colleagues, Thomas Ligotti, also joined C93.

The album’s title was given to me in a dream, in which I saw The Souls of humans pouring out of their eyes, and returning to God—The Light Had Left Them Quite!

On THE LIGHT IS LEAVING US ALL, I brought together my studies of specific Akkadian and Biblical Hebrew texts that I was translating with my friends and teachers Professor Martin Worthington, Ola Wikander, and Professor Seth Sanders, and also Channelled my fascinations with The Red Barn Murder of 1827 and “The Witchcraft Murders” of “Bella” in Hagley Wood in c.1941 and Charles Walton in Lower Quinton in 1945.

All this time, the birds were sweetly singing, the kettle was on, the milkmaid was singing, and the policeman was dead—all this while the birds were softly singing, and The Light Was Leaving Us All.

Remastered by The Bricoleur at Bladud Flies!, and with the original artwork refreshed and reborn by Rob Hopeye, this 12” vinyl picture-disc comes in a full-colour die-cut sleeve, which is printed on both the outside and inside.

This is one of the first 4 reissues of the entire back catalogue of C93 on picture-disc and standard vinyl, in the lead-up to the publication of my autobiography at the end of 2025, whilst I also work on many other recording, publishing, and painting projects, and Watch And Pray! Each release in the picture-disc vinyl reissues series is limited to 1,000 copies, and the titles will not be repressed as picture-discs once they have sold out.

The band members share a passion for playing music in its various raw manifestations and their band backgrounds include Küroishi, Nistikko, Dumathoin and Akma among many others. Punk background bleeds into the music connecting Qwälen's interpretation of black metal into how the genre started decades ago. Simplicity, rawness, speed and honesty. These values were present in the beginning and the same values still hold true. Punk background especially shows live as the chaotic energy of hardcore punk clashes with the ritualistic nature of black metal. Lyrical themes in the first album focused on self-portrayal, dealing with loss, building anew along with finding alternatives in abandonment, misanthropy and Satan. The second album ponders the sheep-like nature of humanity, the inevitability of destruction, the acceptance of being faulted and surrendering to a greater force. Syvä hiljaisuus was recorded at Waiting room recording studio in Tampere with Mikael Neves who has worked with the likes of Death toll 80k and Tryer. Mikael also handled mixing duties. Mastering was done by Will Killingsworth at Dead air studios.

Mit der anstehenden, in vielen Städten bereits ausverkauften und um Zusatzshows erweiterten Open AirTour 2024, die die Band auf weitere 28 Konzerte durch Deutschland, Österreich, die Schweiz, Italien und
Luxemburg führt, schließen Silbermond ihren AUF AUF-Zyklus inspirierend ab – und veröffentlichen am
30. August 2024 pünktlich zum ersten von zwei Heimspielen in Dresden ihr neues Album: „AUF AUF -
Live im Theater des Westens“.
Das Album erscheint als CD im Digisleeve, als schwarze und signierte Doppel-Vinyl und außerdem als
limitierte Premium Edition, die das Konzert auf CD, aber auch als Videomitschnitt auf DVD und Blu-ray
sowie ein Silbermond-Notizbuch enthält.
