Alcides Neto is a Brazilian composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Narrm/Melbourne. Drawing inspiration from the folk traditions of his homeland, Alcides offers a fresh perspective on Brazilian music by blending traditional rhythms with contemporary Brazilian jazz, samba, bossa and more. Known for his distinctive percussive guitar playing and warm, soothing vocals, he brings an authentic Brazilian vibe to every performance. Alcides is set to release his debut album Amú via the Music in Exile label in early 2026, featuring eight original compositions recorded at Head Gap Studios, Melbourne. For fans of Gilberto Gil, Jorge Ben Jor, and all the Brazilian samba greats.

With performances alongside Walter Trout, Kingfish Ingram, Fantastic Negrito, and Samantha Fish, Spencer Mackenzie has established himself as one of Canada's top young blues- rock artists. relatively under the radar in the U.S. Formed in 1975 by Jamaican singer Ricky Bailey, the group’s music quickly
gained traction with their first single, ‘The Promise of Love’ and follow up ‘Where Is the Love We Used to Know’
became a hit in Britain. Despite frequent lineup changes, Bailey was a consistent member throughout as the band
recorded much of their music in London, including their popular Eau de Vie album in 1979. The band continued
to evolve until the early 1990s and put out new music back in 20121. This is a comprehensive Best Of across two
sides of coloured vinyl."

There is a kinetic energy that binds drummer and producer Karriem Riggins and singer-songwriter, rapper, and producer Liv.e, the spark that happens when instinct meets flow and spirit finds rhythm.

Their collaborative debut as GENA (short for “God Energy, Naturally Amazing,” and loosely inspired by Gina from Martin), The Pleasure Is Yours feels like a playful, soulful conversation between two kindred improvisers: Liv.e’s smoky, unpolished vocals glide through Riggins’ warm, percussive universe. Rooted in jazz, soul, and hip-hop, Liv.e brings a raw, experimental approach to R&B, while Riggins known for his work with Common, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Madlib, and his close kinship with J Dilla, extends his lifelong dialogue between jazz improvisation and beat science.

Together they create a world that’s analog and ethereal, percussive and poetic, bridging eras without settling in one, the sound of two artists finding a new shared language rooted in rhythm, vulnerability, and exuberance.

Pressed on 180g vinyl, the album comes in an embossed sleeve and is avaible in red and black splatter.

French producer Yse Saint Laur'ant is exactly the sort of artist you want to hear from as the sun begins to shine more often. He's a master of escapist, beauty, classy grooves that marry disco and Balearic into pure magic. 'Space Ride' does that on a bubbly groove with a cosmic edge and 'Saint Tropez' brings loose-limbed funk and boho percussion to a Provencal sound. 'Monaco' is bathed in sunlight and made all the more classy with some gorgeous stings and mellifluous chord work then 'Esplanade' shuts down with a dubby, flute-led sound with a whimsical charm. Crying Outcast returns with its third release, landing close to home with legendary dub innovator The Rootsman. Bradford’s own and a true pioneering force in experimental dub since the 90s, The Rootsman’s influence runs quietly but deeply through the underground. Roots Return gathers three essential works from his catalogue, including collaborations with Celtarabia and Russ (The Disciples) as Pachakuti, alongside a light-headed reinterpretation from label head Miles J Paralysis. Spiritual and subtly psychedelic, yet deeply rooted in dub tradition throughout, drawing on influences from Pakistani devotional hymns and Celtic folk traditions. An essential modern day EP, displaying a meeting point between the heritage and the future sound of dub music.

Brown Horse—named one of Brooklyn Vegan’s 10 Artists Shaping the New Indie-Country Boom—return with their third and best album in as many years, Total Dive. With songs from each of the four members (Patrick Turner, Nyle Holihan, Emma Tovell and Rowan Braham) the writing charts a world of small revelations and painful changes. The Reflex has been busy of late and, though already a proven master of multi-track mixes and mash-ups, he keeps on reaching new heights with each new drop. This is one of several coming in quick succession and finds him dropping the final part of his label Discolidays' collaboration with the Zagora catalogue, which features tunes by Thomas Bangalter's pops, Daniel Vangarde. Here it is the Gibson Brothers' disco belter 'Heaven' that gets beefed up with bright strings and unrelenting drums, driving you to a place of sheer joy. A more obscure sound come son the flip with uptempo drums and sumptuous musicianship laid down by some of the best of the disco era in Paris.

We can't resist the carefully fused and treated sounds of The Reflex who shows his class again here with more multitrack remixes that bring vintage grooves bang up top dates without stripping them of their seasoned charms. 'Cherry Dub' is packed with big riffs and well known vocal-hooks but is dubbed out top perfection with screeching guitar solos destined to send dancers wild. The flip side is a more warm and breezy roller for sunny days and cocktail sessions, again with an iconic vocal and top line adding that familiarity that always unites dancers.

NYC's Afro-Latin house player Doug Gomez, who was also half of the defunct Drrtyhaz, leans into club weight and musical detail on Signals 3, a confident new drop built on persuasive rhythms. 'The Space Between Us' introduces his vocal production with Fe Malefiz, who has a sultry, stylised tone that drifts between deep house and Afro-soul with great control. 'The Red Room' shifts gears into peak-time territory with a groove shaped by late-night exchanges with DJ Loka. Closing cut 'To Do Good Na Em Dem Pay' widens the palette further, pulling from Afrobeat's restless rhythmic energy and layering in some bold and brassy horns.

The Reflex has been back remixing on his multitracks again and if you have been out anywhere decent in recent times you might already have heard this one as it has been a favourite of those DJs in his inner circle. Finally, the unrelated rework of a legendary disco diva arrives on wax and dazzles from front to back. 'Lolita' has it all - the deft hi hats sliding above funky bass, a rhythm driven by busy piano chords and lung-busting vocal full of burning soul. 'Camels' rides funky, chunky drums and has more expressive tones this time in unison with an off-balance chord sequence and fluttering sax. Lovely stuff.

Whatever The Reflex is on at the moment, we want some - he's rolling out the jams left, right and centre across several different styles. For this drop, he has revisited his own revision: ten years after first dropping this and without countless plays from legends like Kerri Chandler, he retouches a disco-house fusion classic that rides big vocal hooks and smooth, breezy grooves. On the B-side he takes aim at another soulful gem and go-to DJ favourite with real invention. 'Nobody' has persuasive drum breaks and slithering synths that shimmer like heat waves and allow the acing, singalong vocal room to work its magic up top.

It’s taken Sealed records more than five years to put this release together but finally it’s here. The one and only Bikini Mutants. The Bikini Mutants were from Yeovil, Somerset and part of the All the Madmen world. In their short life as a band they recorded two demos at Monitor Studios, Milborne Port in Somerset in 1982. Let's Mutate collects these two demos on one LP, along with a 20 page booklet featuring photos, lyrics, reviews, interviews and much more. The band played mostly in Yeovil and the West Country along with the Mob and the Review, and even though they were part of the West Country anarcho scene, the sound was a mix of scratchy post punk and indie pop. Members of the band went on to be in My Bloody Valentine and the Chesterfields. The songs are intricate, delicate and engaging with the drums and bass locked in, the fuzzed out guitar weaving on top and Christine Cole’s angelic voice taking each song to pop heaven. Think a mix of Girls at our Best, Au Pairs and the Marine Girls.
