Amane is an East London-based musician, producer, and musical director whose career spans an eclectic range of genres and high-profile collaborations.

He has served as Musical Director for Little Simz, Jorja Smith, Amaarae, Ego Ella May, and Maverick Sabre; performed alongside global stars such as Ed Sheeran, Elton John, Anne-Marie, Sigrid, Dermot Kennedy, King Krule, and Ata Kak; and was a key member of the acclaimed London ensemble Maisha, whose debut was released via Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood label as part of the landmark We Out Here compilation.

Pain Management welcomes London cult favourite DJ ojo, who arrives on the label with a hazy three tracker of trademark nether zone system music. On his most dubbed out full length to date, ojo span’s the full emotive spectrum of dub sonics with a range of both the eerie and more tender expansions of low end atmospherics, the resulting 12” equally suited for the club and the journey home alike.

‘Tongue Tied’ opens the record, a lysergic offering from the darker edges of dub music. A slippery fugue-state hit of narco-ambience built around a crooning, intelligible vocal refrain and chest shot sub weight. A real nightfall system pusher built to simmer in the early hours. It kicks off the EP on an amorphous, hypnotic note that sustains throughout.‘Oil Dub’ sinks deeper into the fog, melodic kinesis and expansive delays upholding an underworld of feedbacked percussion and tongue in cheek sub motion; a seven minute sound bath of ambiguous dub ASMR.

The B-side balances out the darker strains found on its counterpart with an overtly tender digidub closer. Clocking in at almost ten minutes long ‘Cloud Suck’ is a nebulous bliss of perpetually ascending late-summer warmth. The kind of liminal dream-state embrace that you wish would never end. Naya Beat have released some scorching digital-only remixes over the years with collectors and selectors alike clamouring for a physical release. Well you asked, and they listened! Some of the label’s best digi remixes are now finally assembled here for the very first time on vinyl. If that isn’t enough, the vinyl EP includes a new and previously unreleased Asha Puthli remix by the pioneering French cult producer Bernard Fevre aka Black Devil Disco Club. A mouthwatering collaboration, Puthli’s ‘Our Love Is Making Me Sing’ is transformed into a scintillating dark and brooding cosmic groover. It’s Black Devil at his classic best.

Strut proudly reintroduces a sought after independent disco gem from the Topomic catalogue: Beckie Bell"s "In Need Of...", reissued in full for the first time. Originally released in 1980, In Need Of... quickly became a cult classic of the French disco scene. After relocating from New York to Paris in the late 1970s, Bell carved out a unique space for her sound, blending the soulfulness of New York disco with the high energy sophistication of the European market. The debut release of Collective Direction explores the incredibly broad and fascinating variety of work of Tasti Box, operating in San Francisco in the early 90’s.

This previously unreleased album, made in the early 90’s, captures the spirit of the San Francisco free party scene that exploded around that time. DJ Harvey, Doc Martin, the Hardkiss Brothers, the Wicked Crew and a host of international guests played at legendary all-night parties at locations such as under the Golden Gate Bridge, on huge custom-built sound systems. Helping to define not only the West Coast scene but also influencing the rest of the country throughout that decade. The cultural impact of this moment in time continues to inspire today’s dance music landscape.

A noughties classic, an earworming anthem, an eventual schoolyard ringtone favourite; Roman Flügel’s once inescapable ‘Geht’s Noch?’ celebrates turning 21 on Running Back, refreshed and remixed by a scene-spanning set of artists paying keen tribute to its absurdist energy.
Casually released as part of a Cocoon Records compilation in 2004, ‘Geht’s Noch?’ rose from the depths with the support of Sven Väth, becoming an international phenomenon, conquering and uniting the dominant scenes of minimal and electroclash alike. Some have said it laid the foundations for the ‘Dirty Dutch’
house scene, albeit from over the border in Germany.
Well known for injecting much-needed levity into the contemporary club landscape via her Live From Earth parties, DJ Gigola adds additional firepower to ‘Geht’s Noch?’, inducing a planet-shaking kick drum, before sending the track’s signature bleeps into nonsensical Morse code for even greater pleasure. Another rave
