Jacob Long's newest recordings under the Earthen Sea moniker deepen his compelling synthesis of shadowy rhythms and opaque atmospherics, drawing on the most potent qualities of melancholic ambient and dub techno.

An Act Of Love' follows 2015's Ink,' released via Ital's Lovers Rock imprint,
and was inspired by internal tribulations and the experience of exploring an empty nocturnal metropolis. Careful waves of tones drift and decay, beats materialize and pulse across twilit landscapes, a noir mood reigns.

Given Long's background as bassist for revelatory tribal-punk trio Mi Ami, An Act Of Love' showcases a musician in the midst of transcendent redefinition, crafting an immersive language of texture and motion.

This record was made over the course of the most emotionally difficult and stressful year in my life thus far. As such, it is both a reflection of that experience and also something that gave me space to begin working through issues to see a way forward, to a better place both psychically and physically.

An idea that was also central to my thoughts while creating the album was the concept and reality of being out in the city at night, wandering around a large urban area after dark - the contrast of empty streets but with life still going on all around, and the openness and possibilities that can bring. This music was an attempt to capture that feeling.

Samples, classy Rhodes solos for this great S3A REC Artist EP: Similarity on each side: One banger track, one hip hop interlude and one personal (or deep) track. He is very close from the forward thinking electronic music producers from Vienna like Dorian Concept, The Clonious, Roman Rauch. He manages with a lot of class, minimalism and harmony to the samples he uses. As we love Jazz&Milk records, it was natural to propose to him to work with us on his first S3A REC Artist EP. Finally, Justus Köhncke is unveiling new tracks! His first release since »Justus Köhncke & The Wonderful Frequency Band« (KOMPAKT, 2013) is both daring and serious. Five songs in German, interpretations of material by Howard Carpendale, Juliane Werding and Nik P. plus English-into-German translations of two pop classics (»Twist In My Sobriety« by Tanita Tikaram, »Captain Of Her Heart« by DOUBLE). This is not an ironic joke about seemingly ›stupid music‹ or ›Schlager‹: Köhncke embraces these five compositions and turns them into his own. They transmutate into his very own vision of ›nu-german comps-soul‹ while retaining Justus' unique sound. The EP will be released digitally and as a limited vinyl 12" on the Berlin-based label »Martin Hossbach. We cry, we sing. Alone.

After Neue Grafik , the S3A Records team releases another great new blooded talent from Germany : Henry L ! The 'Gemini' track, clearly for the MCDE lovers, is a smashing hit. It goes forward a sexy downtempo interlude: Dust it off. To finish the side, 'Dice game' is a great deep house track done in collaboration with Matt Flores and contains live played 'MK1 Rhodes, drums, percussions...'The B side comes with two great remixes from S3A and Cuthead of the A side tracks with a Henry L hiphop badass skit between! Syberian is a new pattern by Sergey Yakovlev. As his first project called Gedevaan this another also focused and keep on the fine tune electronic music entering deeper to techno, house and experimental constructions among them. Syberian is pitched hypnotic, cosmogonic shade of melancholy which sincerely looks on the world background. It has an authentic perception imprint and a set of sedate witness. The first release by Syberian 'An Object by a Human Being' contains four basic tracks.

Opening with 'God Race Female' which gloomy drifts you with a distant fibrous structures. Industrial howl and clave push stream over dope endless barrel strokes. That is sound what reach out to a child inside a female womb.

Next one is 'Male of Human Race' with a resilient stained beat that works with onground greasy texture. Ambient flutter set you a synthetic tranquil mood.

On a flip side 'Secret Alien Video Tape' is a kind of hypnotic and scholastic spacewrap abyss. Drag inland thru distortions and imaginary vortexes your mind still contemplates.

Conclusive back to the home track 'Harmonic 343' is game way to keep junctions with a physical world. Body is only part of a human. Understanding the principles supply the workflow.

God is an Astronaut's seventh full-length album, Origins, is their first as a five-piece and cements their place as one of the world's most intense, musically- and visually-inventive post rock bands. Renowned for their searing live shows in which the music is married with provocative projected imagery, GIAA consider each of their albums to be a sonic 'photograph or snapshot of who we are in that moment of time' and Origins is perhaps their most saturated, striking snapshot to date.

*Origins is notable also in GIAA's return to Rocket Girl records, who licensed the band's breakthrough album, All is Violent, All is Bright in 2005. In the eight years since then, GIAA have continued to release albums and an EP on their own Revive Records (A Moment of Stillness EP, 2006, Far From Refuge, 2007, God is an Astronaut, 2008 and Age of the Fifth Sun, 2010), amassing a vast following on social media sites (150,000 fans on Facebook, half a million listeners on ) and touring extensively, establishing themselves as Ireland's most intense, incandescent live act.

*Comprising a dozen tracks, Origins fluctuates from controlled ferment ('Calistoga') to plaintive, piano-led reverie ('Autumn Song') to rhapsodic, unapologetically melodic fever ('Signal Rays') while never losing its focus.
Experimenting with 'a multitude of stompboxes', the newly bolstered line-up gives the songs an added richness, apparent on Origins perhaps most obviously on the first single, 'Spiral Code' which has already received numerous radio plays on specialist radio.

Mazzy Star gründeten sich 1990 aus den noch rauchenden Trümmern der SST/Rough Trade-Helden Opal. Und nun ist es soweit: das Comeback-Album "Seasons Of Your Day" erscheint Ende September 2013. Leisure System, the collective, label and famed Berghain club night of four years standing, is back with their third release from co-founder and resident, Sam Barker. Known for its genre-defiant lineups, Leisure System's quarterly residency has consistently brought together artists with varying styles. Flying Lotus, Autechre, Afrika Hitech, Jackmaster, Surgeon, Jimmy Edgar, Blawan, 808 State, Dopplereffekt, Clark, Machinedrum, Surgeon, Venetian Snares, Objekt and Egyptian Lover have all graced the decks, showing off the collective's commitment to the exploration of new and experimental sounds in EDM. The development of the label, and now this release from Barker, is no exception. After discovering computers and raves in the late '90s, Barker began making tracks at age 13, building up a sizable collection of vintage analogue synths, paving the way for his future solo work and collaborations with artists like Tim Exile, Clark, Shitmat, Scotch Egg, The Field, Leafcutter John and Jimmy Edgar. Shortly after his 2007 move to Berlin, Barker began collaborating with fellow Berghain resident nd_baumecker, resulting in their ongoing project Barker & Baumecker. Their first EP 'Candyflip', was released on Ostgut Ton in 2010, followed up by a live show tour throughout Europe. The duo is currently readying their second EP and have a long player due out in August 2012. For this new solo EP, mastered by electronic music legend Pole, Barker presents a creative three-track lesson in diversity and highlights Leisure System's ever-evolving aural curiosity. The opener and title track 'Like An Animal' is a number that builds and builds, quickly changing course and mutating into a percussive and texturized melting pot of sounds. Up next the hypnotic 'I Feel', which is filled with moody pads and syncopated breakbeat rhythms, paving the way for the mechanical, yet smooth half-step rhythm of 'Hot Lover'. Siimilar to the collective, this offering pushes boundaries and mirrors the progressive ideals of the collective. Just like Leisure System's first two 12's from Pixelord and Eprom in 2011, Barker's 'Like An Animal' EP is a clear statement of the label's simple and distinct commitment : to be a platform for timeless, thrilling and soulful dance music in the fields of house, techno and electronica, disregarding media hype and genre borders. In keeping with this clear sonic manifesto, Leisure System's design aesthetic is equally individual, with all vinyl releases housed in deluxe die-cut jackets.
