"Conrad Pack returns to SELN Recordings with a three track EP threading the needle between London sonics and
something beyond.

The primary tracks Praise and Guidance were recorded during the height of the Scram events organised by
Leeway (Guy Gormley), and hosted by the late soundsystem luminary Julian Fairshare at Ormside Projects. The
influence of this period, and in particular of Fairshare himself, on the music is clear; both are stepper-esq, leaning
heavily on London’s musical legacy past and present, whilst still pushing a contemporary sound.

Praise is essentially a Dub track. The percussion and bass are of a familiar steppers nature, with the synths
evoking a true Big Smoke feeling. Although the melody itself wouldn’t sound out of place in a UK Drill number, the
song overall still touches on Industrial and DIY sonics, being all the stronger for doing so.

Guidance follows in solid form. Amongst the driving percussion and staunch bassline, droning pads lock in a dense
mood whilst sparse choral melodies echo throughout. Think Shaka meets Muslimgauze, but recorded in a
Woolwich Office Block.

Grotto was originally produced for the group show “The Grotto” held in January 2021 at Ridley Road Project Space.
Restructuring the track from the original stems, Pack presents a new and enchanted “stereo version” for Praise EP.
Angelic atmospheres flow amongst scattered hi-hats as sporadic Freetekno Kicks reverberate across the void.
Most accurately described as “what Curley in a K Hole might have sounded like”. "

Gegründet wurde Daughter von Sängerin Elena Tonra und Igor Haefli 2010 während ihrer Zeit an der Musikhochschule. Die im Herbst folgenden Konzerte in Hamburg und Berlin waren dann schon im Voraus ausverkauft - kein Wunder, betören Daughter das Publikum doch mit ihrer zauberhaften Musik. Mit "If You Leave" ist der Band nun ein eindrucksvolles Debütalbum gelungen, dessen intime Atmosphäre mitunter an das erste Album von The XX erinnert.

Oliver Dollar presents part four of his Contemporary series on Rekids. The EP precedes his upcoming album on the label, enlisting Seven ‘Sev’ Davis Jr. and Nils Ohrmann, alongside dub reinterpretations by La Boix and Sev.

Germany’s Oliver Dollar returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with Contemporary Part Four, Parts one through three featured collaborations with Austin Ato, Brillstein, Harvard Bass, Hazmat Live, Boogs, and many more, winning support from the likes of Nightmares on Wax, Anja Schneider, Laurent Garnier, Carista, Jennifer Cardini, Dam Swindle, and others.

For this next chapter of Oliver Dollar’s ‘Contemporary’, elements of Dub serve as the unifying thread, opening part four with ‘Speakers Bleed’, a jazz-inflected House cut from Oliver and Classic Music Company and Ninja Tune artist Seven ‘Sev’ Davis Jr. Hypnotic vocals swirl through deep, groove-laden rhythms, setting the tone for the EP’s fluid, atmospheric feel before Oliver reunites with Golden Gate club resident and long-time collaborator Nils Ohrmann for the Hallelujah Dub of ‘The New Is Here’. The track features the soulful voice of Detroit songwriter and Contemporary series regular APROPOS while gospel-tinged background vocals and rich textures sit over an infectious percussive rhythm. On the flip, Oliver Dollar & Brillstein’s ‘Pill Popper’ from Contemporary Part Two is reworked by La Boix, the duo of LA”s Thee Mike B (aka Brillstein) and producer Salva, whose credits include work with RL Grime, Kurupt, E-40, and the Grammy-nominated album of ScHoolboy Q, as well as remixes for Rihanna, Boys Noize and Nelly Furtado. Their version is a late-night, low-slung trip, with echoing keys and vocals drifting through deep basslines. Closing the EP, Seven Davis Jr. returns for a dub of ‘Before You’, Oliver’s collaboration with ADMN from Contemporary Part One. Retaining APROPOS’ heartfelt vocal from the original, Sev layers bright, soul-drenched synths over rolling drums, delivering an irresistible, feel-good finale.

Ement returns to PZ Records with a seven-tracker, including a remix by Umwelt.

Balancing dark atmospheres with raw energy, the EP builds on Ement’s previous work while continuing to evolve his sound. Rooted primarily in electro, it remains versatile throughout—blending experimental textures, acid grooves, and driving techno rhythms that reflect a broad sonic palette. A personal yet club-ready release.

DJ Hell ist der Pate des Electroclash und Gründer des einflussreichen Labels International Gigolo Records. Helmut Geier steht seit vielen Jahrzehnten hinter den Decks und spielt entweder in den größten Clubs der Welt, auf riesigen Musikfestivals oder bei Laufstegshows für die angesagtesten Modemarken, neben der Produktion von Musik, der Schauspielerei in Filmen und dem Designen von Kleidung. The Populists ist das cluborientierte DJ-Projekt des französischen Sänger-Produzenten, Gesaffelstein-Kollaborateurs und Filmkomponisten Yan Wagner. Seit 2014 veröffentlichte er EPs und Tracks auf Tastemaker-Labels wie Lumière Noire, Zone, Detriti, Ritmo Fatale & XXX. Auf seinem Remix von 'Disco Goth' kombiniert er entspannte Italo-Disco-Grooves mit New Beat Drums und verleiht dem Original ein ganz anderes Feeling.

Prekop"s singular blend of melody, impressionistic lyricism and quietly intricate rhythms are the core of the singular sound of The Sea and Cake. Since 2010"s Old Punch Card, Prekop"s exploration of modular synthesis and electronic atmospheres, has come into its own. Highly skilled at manipulating the sonic interplay, Prekop has established a sytle all his own, his pieces are complex expressing real movement. Harmonies bloom with granular detail and contrary to their machine sources are able to convey emotion. Open Close is an album that captures the flow and energy of a live performance through the lens of a deft craftsman, an equilibrium of intuitive composition and the excitement of possibility.

bestand aus der klassischen 6-köpfigen Band mit George Duke und Ruth Underwood.Ruth Underwood
