Callisto is a post-metal band from Turku, Finland formed in 2001. They've headlined several tours in Europe, opened for High On Fire on their UK tour, and showcased in Canada and the United States. Whilst their early works are hardcore and metal, the debut album True Nature Unfolds has a strong sludge metal and doom influence. It was recorded in 2004 by the late Mieszko Talarczyk (Nasum) and introduced to Earache Records a year later through Johannes Persson (Cult Of Luna), earning the band worldwide distribution. True Nature Unfolds was originally released only on CD in 2004 by Fullsteam Records in Finland and Earache Records in the US and UK a year later. The album delivers a breathtaking mix of atmospheric soundscapes, heavy riffs, and haunting melodies. Each track invites you on an emotional journey, blending post-metal intensity with introspective lyricism. Don’t miss this powerful musical experience—let the journey begin! The 20th anniversary edition of True Nature Unfolds is presented on double vinyl in a glorious gatefold cover, with new album art by the band's drummer Ariel Björklund. Either Recordings welcomes Icelandic artist Hjalti onto its roster with the Skarðsheiði EP, accompanied by a remix from Thor under his Sanasol guise.

Jamie Clarke’s Either Recordings has moved from strength to strength since its inception back in 2020, acting predominantly as a home for the label bosses own music while also welcoming remixes from the likes of Barac, Silverlining and Ryan Crosson, plus original material from Jay Tripwire and now, Hjalti.

Title-track ‘Skarðsheiði’ opens, an eight minute dynamic excursion through delicately intertwined synth melodies, bass grooves and expansive effects before ‘One Small Step’ shifts gears into a more loop-led territory, fusing organic percussion with classic stab sequences, airy chord melodies and weighty subs.

Icelandic icon of Dub Techno Thor then steps up under his Sanasol alias to open the flip side, reworking ‘Skarðsheiði’ with their unique twist on the ‘Found Space Mix’, extracting fragments of the original and shaping it into something deep and atmospheric whilst still retaining a sturdy dance floor focused foundation. ‘Kjölur’ then concludes the EP, embracing minimalistic rhythms with cinematic electronica textures and classic stab sequences throughout.

La Pointe debut on Damian Lazarus’ Secret Teachings with ‘Umbra’, featuring remixes from Nathan Fake and Jonny Rock. The experimental label opens its 2025 schedule on 24th January with the Geneva-based trio’s warping original backed by a pair of late-hours remixes from two of the best in the scene.

Emerging from a confluence of rave culture and artistic mastery, La Pointe make an impressive label debut on Damian Lazarus’ Secret Teachings imprint with the enigmatic ‘Umbra’. The release, set for 24th January, is accompanied by stellar remixes from revered producer Nathan Fake and the ever-versatile Jonny Rock, delivering a sonic journey that transcends the ordinary. La Pointe, a trio formed by Geneva-based techno pioneers Crowdpleaser and Entlet alongside New York City’s Jonny Sender, represents a fusion of cultural and musical legacies. Rooted in the dynamic after-hours scenes of Geneva and New York’s underground club culture, the trio creates music that is both innovative and steeped in tradition. Their studio, located in an old factory by the meeting point of the Rhone and Arve rivers, lends its name—and its industrial inspiration—to their project.

The original mix of ‘Umbra’ is a hypnotic exploration of light and shadow, blending atmospheric melodies with deep, pulsating rhythms—a testament to their ability to craft soundscapes that resonate emotionally and physically. Nathan Fake’s remix ventures into intricate, textural layers, marrying ethereal tones with electronic intensity. Jonny Rock injects a raw, off-kilter groove and late-hours energy into his reinterpretation, blending his eclectic influences from disco, funk, house, and beyond. The genesis of La Pointe is as captivating as its sound. Crowdpleaser and Entlet are celebrated architects of Geneva’s rave scene, running the legendary after-hours party The Shark for over a decade and hosting luminaries like Alexander Robotnik, Boo Williams, and Sonja Moonear. Jonny Sender, a stalwart of New York’s downtown music revolution in the 80s to 00s and bass player of post-punk band KONK, brought his unique perspective honed in venues like Mudd Club to the trio when he moved to France. This debut appearance on Secret Teachings is not just a collection of influences but a narrative woven from decades of underground culture and musical exploration - making it a perfect fit for Lazarus’ label as he continues to champion boundary-pushing artistry, curveball signings and inspired remix curation.

Wide Yonder’ is a truly remarkable album, offering as much depth and soul as it’s predecessor, yet sounding ultimately fresh and different. Above all, the ten tracks show an artist that’s willing to take risks, find in- spiration in new places and move beyond the sound of his previous album. Trentemøller: ‘Of course I didn’t want to make the same record twice. So the album is for me a logic development from ’The Last Resort’’. Instead he just started to collect new ideas, without thinking too much about the direction the music would take him: ‘The only thing I knew was that I’d want the music to sound more organic and analog.’ Compared to the intimate electronic mood pieces of ‘The Last Resort’, the ten tracks on the new album indeed have a more strange, mystic and dramatic vibe, with a lot of dynamics, distorted, driving twang- guitars, real and electronic drums mixed with haunting synths. With ‚Into The Great Wide Yonder‘ Trentemøller is not only exploring new moody and atmospheric universes, but combines his sense for glorious soundscapes with a firm melodic and tonal touch. The original chord progressions and feel for melodies is fundamental to him, and that‘s also the reason why most of the instruments are played by Trentemøller himself on this album. ‚I like the possibility to be surprised that chords and melodies change into something new. The music that I like most lets the themes and sounds come back in different disguises‘. The Danish multi instrumentalist and producer shows an unexpected talent for finding vocalists that fit the mood of his songs. The first single of the album, the beautifully tender ‘Sycamore Feeling’, featuring Marie Fisker, is a typical highlight. In fact, all the vocal tracks are stunning. Trentemøller chose to collaborate with the English artist Fyfe Dangerfield from UK based Guillemots and Danish singers Solveig Sandnes and Josephine Philip from the debuting Danish indie girlduo Darkness Falls. They all manage to add their own sound and flavour to the album, while their voices blend perfectly with Trentemøller’s atmospheric songs. This is an album that keeps growing for a long time, as every track works its way stealthily under your skin. The sound of ‘Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might be one step ahead of his previous work, but we still easily recognize the hand of Trentemøller, in this inspired collection of songs and atmospheres. The sonic richness, sharp contrasts and daring musical colours are vintage Trentemøller. Into The Great Wide Yonder’ might demand more from the listener than ‘The Last Resort’, as it ended up being quite a dramatic album. The time has arrived for the release of the long awaited EP by LEBA, with the prolific title - Into The Lights.

Carefully and thoughtfully crafted over two years, the legendary record producer of High Power Music, General Lee, teamed up with the magnificent Legends Sly and Robbie, to produce the daughter of legendary Jamaican Icon Toots Hibbert: LEBA.

This LP features 7 songs including a feature from Jamaican Portland deejay Blackout JA, on track "No one loves you like me", which was released in 2021. These songs carry you on a musical journey of time and space, on a dub and reggae background, which soothes the ears of its listeners, and gets them grooving to the bassline of the late Robbie Shakespeare OD and Sly Dunbar OD and Taxi Gang.

The songs paint a picture through conscious words and messages, heavy and spacey instrumentation, recorded & mixed at One Pop Recording Studio Kingston Jamaica by Rorey Baker. An atmosphere that will surely transport its listeners into the calm and relaxing space of reggae and dub music.

Jamwax is proud to announce the reissue of Justin Hinds' rare and evocative track Marcus Tradition, a powerful song that resonates deeply with the roots of Jamaican music and honors the enduring legacy of Marcus Garvey.

Marcus Tradition is a heavyweight roots reggae masterpiece that embodies the spirit and teachings of Marcus Garvey, the Jamaicanborn leader who founded the Universal Negro Improvement Association (UNIA) and championed the 'Back to Africa' movement. The song’s down-tempo riddim and distinctive whistle create a captivating atmosphere, while the lyrics emphasize the importance of tradition and heritage: "You're the offspring of this nation, and this is a tradition. Marcus Garvey was born in Jamaica and that's a tradition."

Justin Hinds, a pioneering figure in Jamaican music, is celebrated for his impactful contributions to the ska and roots reggae genres. As the lead vocalist of Justin Hinds & The Dominoes, he achieved monumental success with classics such as Carry Go Bring Come, cementing his legacy in Jamaican music history.

This reissue of Marcus Tradition reaffirms Jamwax's dedication to preserving and sharing the richness of Jamaican musical heritage. By bringing this exceptional track back into the spotlight, Jamwax not only honors the profound artistry of Justin Hinds but also celebrates the timeless cultural legacy of Marcus Garvey, a tradition that continues to inspire and unite generations.

DIG CURATED the infamous four of this EP in an omnivorous fashion, allowing vinyl wizard Louis the 4th to take us on a ride of stylistic adventure between old and new-school techno wickedry.

Olivia Mendez (the curator behind this EP) picked these gems according to the way she would build her sets; each track corresponding to a distinct part of a blazing journey. Each track being a different color on a powerful, vibrant palette, attesting to the versatility of an artist whose emblem is anonymity - remember Detroit? - and reinvention. The man behind the bandana doesn't shy away from paying homage to the old school while at times enveloping us into a computerized sound chaos - classy as it is.

This selection reveals a side of LTF that hasn't been shown before, catching the ears of a great number of peeps, who could easily find their match here.

"Dilatation" is a chugging techno zinger, with a groove that feels minimal yet keeps expanding through punctured breaks and urging synth enveloped into a sustained air- a kind of tool that mounts the energy to near combustible.

"Almost There" decompresses space into a light-weight, energy saver atmosphere, that fleshes out a brand-new compartment in LTF`s music wallet. Threaded through driving rides and a rhythmic zeal, it wobbles gently between sustain and release.

On the flip side, "Kurrikulum Vitae" flexes LTS mechanics, with rascal shifts in a groove that feels simultaneously ancient and totally new, amassing a depth of textures and tones towards a skanking peak.

"999" seals the deal with multilayered distortions enveloped into ghostly undertones and reverbing crunches, half-step of being a techno-artefact and a dazzling sound puzzle, made of a loopy melody edging towards poise.

First Word Records is very proud to present a brand new EP from Yazmin Lacey - 'When The Sun Dips 90 Degrees'.

This EP follows on from her two recent singles, '90 Degrees' and 'Something My Heart Trusts', both of which are included here, along with three previously unreleased tracks, 'Heaven', 'Body Needs Healing' and 'Burn & Rise'. This set illustrates again Yazmin's candid songwriting delivered in her uniquely laidback soulful style, whilst a glorious fusion of neo-soul and jazz performed by Pete Beardsworth and her trusty band rides throughout.

In recent times, Yazmin has made live appearances on Jazz FM, BBC Radio 4, 1Xtra and NTS, & received widespread acclaim across the airwaves, including BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Worldwide FM and Mi-Soul, plus Spotify love from the likes of The Independent and heavy support from DJs such as Gilles Peterson, Jamz Supernova, Tom Ravenscroft, Huey Morgan and Jamie Cullum. Yazmin appeared heavily in The Guardian / The Observer's recent extensive feature on the UK's new Jazz movement too.

Initially a Brownswood 'Future Bubbler' graduate, Yazmin self-released her debut EP, 'Black Moon', last year. This lead to a Maida Vale session late 2017 with Jordan Rakei, Moses Boyd, Oscar Jerome and now label-mates, Children of Zeus. She kicked off the year with a performance at the Worldwide Awards with Skinny Pelembe, and has recently done shows with artists such as Ezra Collective, Tall Black Guy and Fatima. Yazmin has a UK tour scheduled for later in the year, as well as several festival appearances across Europe locked in. There's a lot more to come from this Notts-based Londoner yet.

In Yazmin's words: "'90 Degrees' is about that time of the day / night when there's a shift in pace and energy. When you decide to lock off from the 'outside' world and create your own atmosphere, take some time to give thanks for what's breathing love into your life and smoke off the fuckeries. Everyone needs a little routine for self preservation."

Title-cut ‘Tivoli’ opens and sets the tone with twitchy acid lines, murky dub swells, skippy percussion and eerie textural atmospherics. ‘Agree’ follows and shifts gears into deep house realms courtesy of a bright organ hook,

swirling pad lines, tension building strings and oscillating bass drones, all underpinned by a crisp rhythm section.

‘Wonderful Transmission’ kicks off the b-side next with a electro tinged feel, fusing robotic voices and squelchy bass flutters with saturated drums and haunting resonant synth leads. Last up to conclude the EP is ‘Haunted’,

an apt title for the eerie, intricately textured composition featuring heavily processed voices, warbling bass notes and robust drums.

Astro returns with a high-octane collection of tracks, peaking at the dizzy heights of 138 BPM, engineered for late night club moments and steeped in early 00s/90s influences. We were fortunate to have Cape Town's own Biodive for a remix, bringing a driving yet minimal sound, effortlessly captivating listeners.

A1, Subatomic, seizes the spotlight with its relentless, driving energy. It immerses us in a 2001 trance soundscape, featuring sharp synth lines and dynamic vocal chops, while echoing, panned stabs enhance the track's deep, otherworldly ambiance.

River Torque, panning UFO pads from a different dimension, shifting gears with precision. A tunnelling groove locks in, firing us straight into peak-time. Direct, relentless, and built for the highest intensity—this one drives everything forward. No escape, just pure momentum.

A3 sees Astro reconnect with his dub-techno origins, pulling in the deep, atmospheric vibes of his early work. Basic Channel-inspired textures are unmistakable, but here they surge. Reverb-soaked layers cascade over a pumping 909, while razor-sharp hats slice through the fog, propelling the track into a hypnotic, futuristic drive.

Wormhole is your go-to for testing low-end limits—bass-heavy, deep, and undeniable. This might be the most floor-shaking, post-pumping Astro track yet. The rich, undying textures crafted from the Blofeld Waldorf deliver sweeping alien FX, creating a soundscape that feels both immersive and extraterrestrial.

Biodive is one of those rare artists who can take a track to another level, almost transcending into another dimension. This remix embodies a minimal yet fierce Detroit sound—stripped down but powerful, hitting with precision and intensity. It’s the perfect choice to close out the EP, leaving a lasting impression with its raw energy and driving beat.

For our first ever Vinyl release we are celebrating a one of a kind party that has been happening for the last three years in South of France. We teamed up with « L’archipel » and invited 4 Producer that have all been part of making this festival a formidable adventure between Trance, Techno and Electro.

Lombroso goes first with his sharp dark and religious atmosphere. A1, The Last Midnight, a slowly building Techno belter, not to remember his infamous project « La Decima Vittima » released on « La nota del diablo ».

A2, Delayscura takes you on a beautiful trance infused techno trip. Nativo grants us of his deep crazy synths that are progressively taking this beautiful ambiance to an all other level.

After two appearances on his own label, IVOE, Kamyar Keramati opens that side with an intense electro banger. B1, Elements of a Thread get more and more complex to finally unravel all his mysteries.

Tibahuult has been for the past two years traveling all around France with an unforgettable live act. He is also one of the founder of « L’archipel » where he played that live act for the first time. With B2, Feel some of my Jam, he delivers for us an incredible belter track that
kick with a sunny vibe only to unfold all the producer madness all along the track.

Ambient explorers SWIMS come up trumps with the debut record by London musician and visual artist Loz Keystone, and Glaswegian electronics tamperer and jazz trumpeter Christos Stylianides.

"Craobh Haven" is the dreamlike product of a week's residency in a little cabin in the Scottish village of the same name. Driving around the surrounding countryside each day to gather field recordings, evenings were spent by the duo assembling their findings into tape loops. These little rotating sculptures - containing stones and the rushing waters of the Craignish peninsula, the voices of locals and the cabin's oven timer - formed the basis for one track per night.

While Keystone's whirling touches of Moog, guitar and space echo suggest the murky, placid vastness of the record's setting, the pitch-shifted, probing trumpet of Stylianides soars and stacks countermelodies like vapour trails braided in the atmosphere.

For a record made out of loch water, Hebridean slate and mud - it is surprisingly tuneful and sometimes almost groovy. Recommended if you like Jon Hassell, Roméo Poirier, Spillage Fete.

‘FAIXA’ is the eponymous debut LP from rural Valencian group FAIXA, emerging from a desire to fuse their curiosity for electronic sounds with experiences of living immersed in the folklore that resonates through the Valencian regions of l’Alcoià and el Comtat.

This atmospheric album speaks to a sound not often heard in the wider Spanish electronic music scene, but reminiscent of other modern revivals of traditional music fused with electronic sounds across Spain right now.

The sound of the album is a constant dialogue between the roots and the future of Valencian generations; traditional vocalists play an essential role in connecting oral traditions such as the “cant de batre” and marches of the “moros i cristians” with leftfield electronic, influenced by sounds typical of dubstep, jungle, or footwork. This historical quality resonates profoundly through songs where vocalists Noelia Llorens “Titana”, Carles Dénia, and Josep Aparicio “Apa” act as channels to a new sonic dimension of traditional music, where the classical and the modern intertwine.

Receiving great feedback across the country in a short period of time, FAIXA’s unique approach to electronic music has gained them mentions and interviews on national and local radio & TV.

SHDW & Obscure Shape offer up their first EP on new imprint Mutual Rytm as they drop five fresh and expansive techno cuts across their 'Poetic Justice' EP.

A duo that has ascended to become leading names within today's techno landscape, SHDW & Obscure Shape continue to grow and evolve while shaping their own unique sound fusing classic influences with a modern touch. Their latest project saw the birth of Mutual Rytm - a new imprint launched in early 2022 set to showcase a deep dive into the duo's musical roots via their own productions alongside material from the label's close family of likeminded artists. Following the label's opening multi-artist VA and the first solo EP from Berlin's Lars Huismann, June welcomes the first solo instalment from the label founders themselves as they ready a killer five-tracker set to make an impact.

A1 'Turbulence' sets the pace as the duo delve into nimble rhythms which ebb and flow effortlessly to reveal a hypnotic slice of modern techno permeated with classic, old school cues, while 'Pulse' takes up a darker aesthetic, keeping the energy high as metallic drum licks guide driving sub-bass and resonant stabs. On the Bside, title cut 'Poetic Justice' balances warping vocals with swinging percs amongst a layered, drum-laden kinetic
workout, exemplifying the duo's drive for combining and contrasting various shades of techno. Next up, 'Set It Off' welcomes the introduction of expansive melodies to offer an entrancing late-night cut, before turning to the unhurried grooves, salient hats and sweeping atmospherics of 'Killing Me Softly'.

Digital bonus 'Before Sunset' once again delves into lighter, breezy territories while keeping the classic rolling
techno touches throughout, shaping up the package with a powerful yet agile closing production.

Mike Inzinger trades with a wide array of sounds, intersecting Ambient, Techno, Electro, House and Acid elements.

The upcoming 4-track EP "Final Report" nods to Netherlands' west coast electro bents, varying from surreal 808-driven groovy acidic realms to immersive atmospheric, spaced-out pads and repetitive percussive wanders.

Nearly two decades after it was first released, Norken’s sleek cult classic album ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is being reissued on vinyl via Hydrogen Dukebox on 6th December 2024.

With its unique sonic blueprint of early 2000s electronica, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is a record that is at once both deeply reminiscent of a particular era and place, yet remains a timeless invocation of Norken’s idiosyncratic palette of minimal, techno, house and British IDM.

This vinyl reissue presents all 12 tracks from the original release, with the inclusion of 'Df23' and 'Flirt' making this the first time that ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ is available on vinyl with the complete album tracklisting.

Norken is one of the many pseudonyms of Lee Norris, a producer who is considered by those in the know as one of the unsung heroes of UK electronica. With a slew of releases throughout the years as Man-Q-Neon, Nacht Plank, Norken, Tone Language and Metamatics, this reissue shines a light on his soulful, immersive output under the Norken name.

As Norris explains, “The release of ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ has a nostalgic, warm feeling for me. I made his album in a garden shed with a wood burner, an Atari computer and a few synths in the depths of an English winter. I still had the thought process of making emotional style techno that would warm any soul on a cold day.”

First released in 2005, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ carries the echoes of electronic luminaries such as the Detroit ambient techno of John Beltran, through to the immersive atmospherics of Biosphere and the innovative IDM of fellow British outfits Autechre and The Black Dog. Yet as Norken, Norris retains a distinctive musical voice that has continued to deepen in stature over the years since the album’s initial release.

Opening with the brief intro cut ‘Fern 2’, the album slides into the dreamlike groove of ‘Memories’, where rich, resonant chords wrap around cool, galactic-sounding synths and a compelling bass undertow.

On ‘It Might Have Been Rain’, that signature bass texture again propels a luxuriant mid-tempo rhythm, while Norken layers in hypnotic washes of string-like synths, gentle electronic pulses and the brief murmur of a vocal, across seven-plus immersive minutes.

Vocal textures, often subtly looped and distorted, also add a distinctive depth and personality to tracks like ‘Eastern Soul’ and ‘Here’. Throughout the album, there’s a feeling of intricate microcosms unfurling, as Norken coaxes a myriad of contemplative moods and emotions from his machines.

Whether shaping the smooth, lulling ambient gauze of ‘Ty Canol’, or letting the kaleidoscopic, dancefloor-leaning drive of ‘Audic Strable’ loose like a coiled spring, ‘Our Memories Of Winter’ presents the singular voice of an artist whose innovative contribution to UK electronic music has only become heightened with the passing of time.
