First Terrace return with the second instalment of their split series, an ongoing project which sees the work of two artists illuminated in each other's light. Built on the acknowledgement that context alters perception, the light shone by the opposing track alters the shadow cast, the effect of the other. In answer to the forked road presented by FTS001, we chose the quiet path*. As such FTS002 is a journey softly travelled. These pieces will not leave a scar on the sonic landscape, rather glide above the tips of the reaching leaves, high on a different mission. Vida composed her pieces to be absorbed in complete darkness. They were exhibited as part of the project In the Dark in Berlin, 2016. The lack of visual stimulus enhances the listening experience, sharpens the ears. At the same time, the audience is made vulnerable, they cling to the sound as it is their only guide through this passage of time. More information on In the Dark can be found here. Chihei presents a new long form piece conjured with guitars and effected into abstraction. It is parallel in form to the ebb and flow of water over the margins of a beach, ever the same yet constantly renewed. *(this time)
This record comes with a version for every time and mood of a club night: Jo Pariotas Cut of the Original Mix is the ideal warm up tune. Flowing on a synthline that calls Mike Huckabys Waldorf to mind, it is sweet and driving at the same time. The Original Mix by LOVEiTs own Nico Brun might be called - Casual Affair', but comes rolling on a phat wonky rhode that brings the groove! Between the crunchy drums, a relaxed vocal snipped and warm synth unfold like the first rays of sunlight. The JK & LDS reduction is punchy, minimal and dubby - with its pull and release kind of melody and the stuttered vocal sample it works perfect as a peak time DJ tool. Finally, the A.S.S. Amnesia returns Mix is something else entirely... you just have to experience it in its full 8 min breakbeat Aphex Twin-like glory.

A warm human hand sculpts the icy machine-like sounds into a meticulous harmony over undulating bass and entrancing snares, clasps and industrial heartbeats. This continuous circulation of sound and its ever beating rumbling-flexed sub bass found in Rebecca Goldberg's newest batch of acid-techno arrangements effectively replicate the natural functions of omega 3, or -3, fatty acids albeit in musical-form. Whereas ingesting the special carboxylic acids found in plant and marine oils woll fortify your vascular system into a well-oiled machine, Goldberg is using a table of various analog machines to manifest a similar, yet uniquely propulsive flow of energy through a composite of frenetic hi-hats and trudling kick drums, looping under spacey Rolands waving out reverb splashed frequencies coiling synthetic intonations.
The beats reach the feet, the bass unlocks the hips and the synths pull and twist the shoulders, staving off stagnation or decimating a collective clotting - we are loosened in restorative ways to the sleek assemblages of one of Detroit's leading DJs/composers on the electronic music scene. Goldberg's 25-minute odyssey is unceasing in its sinuous stream of mesmeric techno music, as if powered on by relentless agents found in the healthful acids for which this EP gets its title.
Goldberg has distinguished herself by cultivating the seeds of techno into something that designedly meditates on the enduring vitality of the organic and the holistic in our lives--even as our socialization, and maybe even our dance floors, are predominantly digital in character and operation. -3 continues to stimulate our brains in two ways, just like 2017's 313 Acid Queen. Her previous record used field recordings and found sounds from the shores of Detroit's Belle Isle and other neighborhood sidestreets to thread the simple majesty of the flora and fauna that sustains even if at the corners of a concrete metropolis. -3 is bringing you from the outdoors into the inner workings of your body--particularly the blood cells that act as fuel for your limbs, your lungs and your brain. It's the -3 fatty acids that keep your system strong and smooth. It's Rebecca Goldberg's latest acid techno fever dream that keeps you perceiving that (and other things) even as you dance...
Dalmata Daniel continue their work with the 7th release in the main flow, and this time they assigned the new experiment to the Teslasonic lab.
In this research, Teslasonic examined the case of 'Quantum Paradox' with the help of another well-known scientist: The Hacker.
The code name of the project is DD007, in which Teslasonic, a citizen of the world, has invented certain new and useful tracks. These tracks are not just sounds, they also create visions, because while we're listening to 'Quantum Paradox' and 'Aether', we feel the energy of the melody, and in our minds, we travel with them through space and time to discover new things. Furthermore, through Blitz Ciphers' and Unified Field Theory's dark and raw electro sound, we find ourselves in the cold and sterile laboratory of the spaceship, where the miracle is born and science is cultivated.
However, thanks to The Hacker, we get a new viewpoint, as in his remix, he re-examines the main theme and at the same time he invents something different - a perfect echo of the original 'Quantum Paradox'.
Australia based artist Inkswel is widely known for his funk infused dance music that incorporates ingenious sample work and memorable vocal cuts. For the ninth installment of the PULP series the 'Edible Pyramid EP' is a journey through the mind of the Australian artist. The package includes a melancholic remix by no one else than long time champion of vinyl and Red Motorbike label boss Eddie C, 'Edible Pyramid' is a work of positivity, the title track excels in it's blissful ambiance that is supported by a back bone of thumping rhythms and jovial vocal cuts. The Eddie C Remix is showcasing a wistful approach by incorporating a rhythm that is reminiscent of those from the early days of Hip hop. 'Let Go' is a confident sounding work of samples. Rhythmically firm with an emotive break that is a welcome change from the slow base-rhythm that flows throughout.
On the B side The Posse comes up with a remix that cleverly incorporates oozing synth pads and a more upbeat vibe. The original is flipped into a more dancefloor friendly version with an acidic touch to it. The final track is called 'Yesterdays Flava of The Month' this boogie tainted cut uses tasty breaks and lively pads that again depict a positive atmosphere.
PULP09 - Inkswel - Edible Pyramid EP will be available from all specialized retailers starting June 2018.
At last, the vinyl reissue of this masterwork, adding two hitherto unreleased gems recorded solo for Charles Fox's Radio 3 programme Jazz in Britain, in the same few months of 1980 as the stunning Aida performances. The phrase 'in the moment' is often bandied about with reference to free improvisation, and indeed there's no better way to describe Derek Bailey's playing. The acoustic guitar is notoriously lacking in natural reverberation — notes barely hang in the air for a couple of seconds before they disappear — which explains the almost non-stop flow of new material in these stellar performances. Bailey knew from one split-second to the next exactly where to find the same pitch on different strings, either as a stopped tone or a ringing harmonic, and there's never a note out of place. 'He who kisses the joy as it flies,' in the words of William Blake, 'Lives in eternity's sunrise' — and this music is forever in the moment, constantly active but never gabby, kissing the joy.One of the special pleasures of the BBC set is the guitarist's own laconic commentary, a deliciously deadpan description of what he's doing while he's doing it — 'I like to think of it... as a kind of music' — and the interaction between words and music is a particular delight. 'You may have noticed a certain lack of variety,' he quips, while unleashing a furiously complex volley. Is it a coincidence that the final seconds recall the famous cycling fifths of the coda to Thelonious Monk's Round Midnight Surely not — for Bailey, like Monk, was a note man par excellence. And they're both still alive and well in eternity's sunrise.

Funky DL steps into the arena with his highly demanded album 'Blackcurrent Jazz 3'. Seamlessly weaving his boom-bap style with jazz breaks throughout every track and topped with his smooth and often intense flow, his lyrical ability is top shelf and the beats are at an unequalled standard of excellence. The album showcases some of the finest Jazz Hip-Hop in the scene as it shifts through varied styles of Jazz and Jazz moods. Crosstown Rebels deliver their next album in the form of a masterful offering from Chic Miniature. The cosmic duo, Ernesto Ferreyra and Guillaume Coutu Dumont make a welcome return to the label with eight tracks of melodic bliss.Fourteen years in the making, a thread of mystery weaves its way through the tapestry of this melancholic LP. It's a true journey through a sublime sonic soundscape. Opening track Adormecido is shrouded in mystery, closely followed by Miso Drunky with its tribal drums and dramatic synth stabs. Kaléidoscope bubbles up next, swiftly followed by Tilt with its genteel cowbell. Then comes Año Uno the first track created back in 2004 with its impressive church-like bells. Suki Ni is twinkling and sublime that flows into the delicate groove of Let It Slide, which samples an ambient rain storm. The album closes on La Sandunga gracefully littered with plentiful percussion.Of the album, the pair explain how they were 'raised on old technology and integrated the newer technology in our everyday lives as it was developing' a fact that is clearly apparent upon listening to the album. They give a sonic hat tip to their 'love of melancholic melodies....almost always rooted in the past, but to us, no time is attached. Are the new machines dreaming about the past, or are the new ones contemplating the future that lays ahead'. The album proves their ability to fuse the new with the old to create an album bursting with timeless tracks.Ernesto Ferreyra and Guillaume Coutu Dumont's partnership is a true meeting of musical minds. Their first release was gifted to us way back in 2005- the Conexio´n Califa EP released on German imprint Raum Musik. Since then they've released on Musique Risque´e as well as a previous EP on Crosstown Rebels. Individually, they've released a plethora of music with Ferreyra also heading up his own label Loosen Up Records and Guillaume signing music to Musique Risquée amongst others.

Dj Rou & Lite Orkestra Proves To Be One Of Those Original, Eclectic And Interesting Projects For The Musical Research Of The Current Scene.
They Got To Know Each Other In The Summer Of 2014 And A Character Affinity Was Born Immediately, Later Transformed Into A Very Strong Artistic Empathy, So Much So That In The Immediate Future They Decided To Meet Often Between Bologna And Verona For Jam Sessions, Sharing Ideas.

In the studio Prototype 909 was a group that rarely agreed on a clear idea of exactly what they were trying to accomplish. The entire project was an experiment, and every time they hit record there was nothing better for them to do than to just try stuff.
Whenever it came time to put together an album they would go through what they had recently done and nd the tracks that seemed to fit together well, or that at least sounded like they were made by the same group. That left on the cutting room foor some really amazing worst that somehow just didn't 'fit" their goals at the time. At Schmer, we remember. P-909 leftovers have Schmer written all over them...
These four tracks were all recorded live in the studio in between their three studio albums 93-97. Brenecki ( half of Ontal ) provided his remix inspired by one of them.
"Hyperdrive" and "Datafash" were recorded shortly after Acid Technology was released in 93. They come from the "lets make Acid Technology Vol 2 approach'. That would have made a really cool record had they done it but they decided on making Transistor Rhythm instead. "ANOISE-NYC" aka "The Tracs that Dietrich Hates" is what you get when you let Jason go nuts on a Doepfer MAQ-16
( they never made that mistake again ). "Bobo" is possibly the most prototypical P-909 tracks ever: it took three guys making their own tracks simultaneously almost ignoring what the others
were doing but somehow mixing them into a flow to make this one, but it all comes together nicely in the end. Its amazing that they never released it before.
You've enjoyed the wait, now enjoy your "new" Prototype 909 while it still is new!

Two freaky afro- flavoured tracks, written by Giuliano Sorgini and his partner in musical delices Alessandro Alessandroni. Recorded during a non-specified session which may be traced back to the recording of Sorgini'sUnder Pompelmoand Pawnshop's first 7". The sound and the ideas behind the music are exactly the same, even though there's more rhythmic and percussive emphasis on both tracks. Two little precious gems, unreleased to this day, brought back to light and finally available for DJs and fans all over the world.Afrodelic breaks for your pleasure!
Travel agents for inner journeys Seahawks take us on a voyage ever deeper into the new age vortex. Their last album 'Escape Hatch' described by Vice as a 'modern masterpiece' only hinted at the transcendent power of Seahawks music. Eternal Beams goes 'further' to create a whole new harmonial experience. Side one: the listener immersed in a soft storm of tape saturated raindrops and distant thunder...numinous waves of sound cascade to create whirlpools of womb-like warmth with gentle pulsations. Side two: enter Laraaji... flocculent flows of golden zither, rich vocal vibrations, dolphin tones in phantasy phase - all coalesce generously, bringing feelings of rebirth and light. To conclude: a wondrous journey of resonant oscillations, inner exploration, a portal to other dimensions.
We are glad to intruduce you this new joint venture, CRVEL are P.E.A.R.L. and Tensal colliding in the studio with the aim to create cyclical weapons for the most osbscure dancefloors. Raw synth lines, crispy high frequencies, continuous sequences and plenty of details and subtle twists that keep the flow going. Four exercises of futuristic techno with no turnabouts, straight to the point with a timeless attitude.
Gaining traction, gaining speed, the primaeval ritual reaches its boiling point, melting the borders of mind and flesh: a turgid vortex of unstable potential, constantly mutating and morphing itself. Unformed and unstructured morphogenetic flows of matter-energy-information, self-organizing processes constituting a veritable non-organic life: the Body without Organs, that glacial reality where the alluvions, sedimentations, coagulations, foldings, and recoilings that compose an organism occur, a motherly womb detonating hydrogen bombs in her prefrontal cervix, atomizing the doors of perception with sheer gargantuan sonic tremor.
Max Loderbauer, who has so far made consistently engaging contributions to the Arjunamusic family, is back to lend his unique interpretive skills to the master recordings for the Brightbird album by João Paulo Esteves da Silva, Mário Franco and Samuel Rohrer. Loderbauer has set himself up for a chal- lenge, since the original album's completely improvised flow of small-ensemble, conversational jazz feels complete enough without outside intervention. However, Loderbauer's role as electronics operator in the similarly attuned Ambiq trio has already shown that, through his mastery of tone color, he has a talent for teasing out the additional hidden details within an apparently 'complete' sonic environment. It's a task he mana- ges to accomplish without ever overriding or contradicting the cohesive message provided by his collaborators.
Adding to the challenge here, Loderbauer chooses to re- mix using only sounds from the original recordings. By doing so, it might seem he is willfully denying himself the chance to use his own signature tools and turn Brightbird's source materi- al into stunningly new electro-acoustic hybrid blooms. Yet Loderbauer succeeds here by becoming something more like a translator than an augmenter - he finds a way to make mea- ningful syntactical changes to the trio's rich and versatile vo- cabulary, and once again unveils a verdant world of hidden details in the process.
The A-side 'Trusting Heart/Cosmos' has an anxious tone introduced by a set of Doppler-effected piano notes that seem to melt in the sun, and is soon complemented by a va- riegated, chattering rhythm line. Here Loderbauer builds up a tactile tension between rhythmic certainty and sharp-angled, de-tuned, and occasionally scrambled instrumentation, framing a disorienting (yet engaging) virtual space where ob- jects' bright hues rapidly change as they contract and expand along multiple dimensions. For the b-side 'Noontide', Lo- derbauer switches to a more focused and streamlined idiom with an uncanny ease, riding along steady waves of sequencer patterning and silvery, resonant shiverings. Reverberating, ho- lographic piano again provides the tonal center here, and the notes ring with a forward-thinking optimism not far removed from classics of the 'Krautrock' era.
Current supporters of all the artists involved will find this to be an invigorating synopsis of their work to date, while newcomers will be treated to a soundworld where skillful fu- sion (the act itself, rather than the music genre with the same name) is constantly on display.
Face Time is the second release from the trio of Oren Ambarchi, Kassel Jaeger, and James Rushford, following on from their 2016 debut Pale Calling. Recorded at the GRM studios in Paris in June 2017, the record immediately returns to the idiosyncratic sound-world of the trio's first release, a simmering stew of electronic smears, pitched-down animal moans, and mysteriously emotive microtonal organ chords. But before long the record takes an unexpected turn, as sounds that initially enter as occasional percussive pitter-patter build to a halting rhythm. Equally reminiscent of Basic Channel-style dub techno and the sound of a microphone loose in a pocket, these stumbling rhythmic figures provide the framework for the remainder of the record's two sides, occasionally receding into the background to allow squelching electronics, chiming bells, distorted autoharp, inchoate grunts and the sound of a Cristal Baschet to take centre stage, but each time returning with the inevitability of a an idée fixe.
Eschewing any clear sense of form, the two side-long pieces move seamlessly through episodes with the organic flow of improvisation, embracing the happy accidents of events conjoined by chance and lingering on liminal moments. Gradually washing out into a cavernous roar, the record's final moments are suddenly enlivened by shimmering metallic percussion and a sequence of woozy synth chords, combining with the muted rhythms and a distant thunderstorm to become a sort of oneiric tribute to the work of Wally Badarou. Bringing together three of contemporary experimental music's most individual voices, Face Time is an essential slice of outsider electro-acoustics. Cover design by Stephen O'Malley. Mastered and cut by Rashad Becker at D&M, Berlin.

For the last decade, Argentina has become the epicenter of a musical explosion that characteristically blends folk music from the surrounding Andes and electronic beats. The artist arguably responsible for its emergence on a global platform is one named Chancha Via Circuito- a Buenos Aires native named Pedro Canale whose first album Rodante (2008) opened the floodgates by pushing the borders of Cumbia listeners weren't even aware existed. He's gone on to release other highly acclaimed albums such as Rio Arriba (2010), which Resident Advisor described as 'aural magical realism', and Amansara (2014), which catapulted him onto acclaimed international stages and received praises from Pitchfork to the New York Times.
Four years later, in the midst of some very notable global turbulence, Chancha Via Circuito brings us his highly anticipated new album Bienaventuranza- a word that essentially means bliss. Replete with his signature touches of Andean instruments (think lots of flute and charango), the folkloric elements on this album blend fluidly with danceable and digestible electronic beats. He's been cooking this record slowly, with unprecedented amounts of care and in a much more collaborative manner than his past albums.
Appearing on the album are heavy hitters in the digital cumbia scene, including Mateo Kingman, Kaleema, and Lido Pimienta, all of whom contribute their highly distinguishable sounds to the natural flow of the album. Most of these collaborations came about almost effortlessly. La Victoria is a track that blends cumbia, dancehall, and a bit of mysticism- carried by Lido Pimienta's luminous voice, Colombian Dancehall wizard Manu Ranks happened to be in town and slipped into the song naturally. Kawa Kawa came from an improv jam during rehearsal one day with Kaleema (Heidi Lewandowski) and Federico Estevez (percussionist in Chancha Via Circuito). Niño Hermoso, which is lyrically a fable, sounds the way it does because Pedro saw a video of Gianluz (Gianluca Zonzini), who he knows from dance classes, singing a Pocahontas song on Youtube.
As dancefloor-friendly as it is mystical, Bienaventuranza is as Chancha as it gets- with elements from Cumbia to Dancehall to Andean Folk to Global house, crystal clear production, and collaborations that are evidently natural and genuine, the record holds true to the sound that Canale has played such a huge part in creating. Since the release of his last album, the digital folk scene has also grown exponentially. From a new generation of producers to more listeners in unassuming parts of the globe, Pedro has been humbled to see the sound develop- and proves with this album that he's grown swiftly alongside it.
æ Productions are pleased to present the new single by Truck featuring Phill Most Chill - 3,665.
Original AE co-founder Truck is back with a new album coming soon and delivers a taster with this lead off 7' single featuring fellow AE Productions recording artist and Hip Hop legend Phill Most Chill. 3,665 refers to the distance between Truck and Phill Most Chill's home cities and the pair duel brilliantly over a heavy beat by Sir Beans OBE (The Aroma/Parlour Talk/Ruztik Records). No chorus hook nonsense here but Mr Fantastic supplies some sharp cuts to complement the MC's.
The B-side is the 'Raw Skeleton Version' of Right or Wrong - a special stripped back version of a track from the forthcoming album produced by Mr Fantastic which will not to be released elsewhere. Truck flows effortlessly over the DJ friendly obscure Funk groove.
Available on black vinyl 7' in a run of 350 retail copies in full colour sleeve designed by Mr Krum.
