Antwerp-based duo Bobby & Djenko joins forces with hometown label Flipsight for their debut vinyl release. The Funky Dancer EP features four dancefloor-ready tunes full of character and percussion. The cover track 'Funky Dancer' is a vocal-led opener laced with crisp bongos and classic house stabs. A seductive groover 'Get high' takes the other piece of the A-side with a bouncy bassline and confident club mood. A French house-inspired 'Impala' kicks off the flipsight.

This belter is a constantly evolving phenomena including all types of elements with no dull moments. Closing off with a tribal flair, "Perc Talk" is a percussion-driven house jam with hints of jungle flavor - rough, raw, and ready to rumble.

Side B takes a detour to the peaks of Deep courtesy of the driving deep techno house style, charming chirps, and oceanic vibes of Dweet. In addition we have included a stripped back yet magnetically atmospheric and percussive perked remix delicacy from Command D. (Animalia).

Have you ever wondered what might happen when you collide Mighty Ryeders' timeless rare-groove classic 'Evil Vibrations' and De La Soul's iconic hip-hop jam 'A Roller Skating Jam Named 'Saturdays'' into one new tune? Well, wonder now more, because that's exactly what Groove-Diggers have done here. This fresh version blends the sampled parts of 'Evil Vibrations' with De La Soul's raps and vocals while Japanese hip-hop group FNCY have added their own new mic work into the mix as a way of paying tribute to De La Soul's original hit. Also included is a Japanese cover of 'Evil Vibrations' by Taiwanese jazz and neo-soul singer 9m88 which brings a whole different respective. A fun and sure-to-be effective package.

It's been a couple of years since Oscide impressed with his contribution to Chez Damier's House Of Chez label on the 'Identity Of Our Sound Vol 2' EP, so we're glad to hear more now. This outing on Traxx Underground taps into his pure house sound and opens with the bubbly kicks and bass of 'Alone Tonight' (ft Ryan Hayden & Collie). It's dynamic deep house with a spiritual synth edge and heartfelt vocals, which will make it a real crowd favourite. After the more direct club mix comes the percussive US garage throb of 'The Last Time' and the raw and bumping house realness of 'What I Said', which has another smart vocal hook adding the irresistible emotion. Four effective but stylish house jams.

Drummer and Composer David Lee Jr.’s stunning and rare album Evolution (1974) blends the deep experimentalism of John Coltrane and Sun Ra with the pulsating second-line and parade rhythms of New Orleans to create a stunning sonic and rhythmical tour de force. In a lineage of incredible New Orleans drummers that includes James Black, Idris Muhammed, Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters, and stretching back to Earl Palmer and Baby Dodds, David Lee Jr. stands out for his fire, experimentalism and an out-there-ness like no other. 'Evolution' is a super deep, ‘lost classic’ radical and groundbreaking deep spiritual jazz album. Originally released in New York in 1974 (400 copies only ever pressed!), ‘Evolution’ is an extraordinary one-off solo album, pressed on the artist’s own Supernal Records, a record company whose slogan ‘seeking creative progress’ and dedication ‘to peace and freedom’ clearly displayed artistic intent over any commercial or market-led forces. David Lee Jr was born in New Orleans and the deep experimental drum-compositions featured on ‘Evolution’ are as rooted in this southern city rhythmically as they are in the spiritual and metaphysical musical ideas of Afro-Futurist pioneers like Coltrane, Sun Ra and others. In the early 1970s Lee Jr. headed off to New York, playing in Roy Ayers’ Ubiquity and later immersing himself in the thriving loft deep jazz scene playing with Leon Thomas, Lonnie Liston Smith, Harold Alexander, Charles Rouse, and recording for a host of seminal deep jazz labels including Strata-East, India Navigation and Flying Dutchman. Today 'Evolution' remains one of the rarest and heaviest of all deep and spiritual jazz albums ever made. One-off super-limited edition magenta colour vinyl, newly digitally remastered, complete with new reproduction artwork, sleevenotes and download code.

Now Famous Class Records is thrilled to release a 10th anniversary 12” vinyl edition. All copies are pressed on split color translucent red and blue-colored vinyl and come with special Mr. Face 3-D glasses to activate the supercharged 3D artwork.

French talent Framboisier lands on the eighth Duality Trax release this August with his debut EP Planetary Vision, backed by a remix from breakbeat queen Angel D’lite.

Landing just in time for the height of summer, the release has already garnered support from scene heavyweights Spray, Job Jobse and James Zabiela. The Grenoble-based artist known as Framboisier has seen his prole steadily rise in the last two years, with his 90s-inspired house sound
lighting up labels like Shue Valley, Backspin and Gestalt. It was through the latter and a back-to-back set at Edinburgh’s legendary Sneaky Pete’s with Gestalt founder Steffan Todorović that label boss Holly Lester rst encountered Framboisier’s music - instantly recognising its place on Duality Trax.

The title track Planetary Vision kicks off the EP with a rush of prog-house nostalgia. Contemplative pads and shimmering synths verge with driving percussion and a bouncing Juno bassline, creating brief moments of euphoria before slamming back in for a powerful peak-time reprise.

Memory Access follows with sun-drenched textures and a rolling groove - locking into a deep, introspective danceoor moment led by an infectious bassline. The B-side shifts gears with Neuro System, a deep house excursion driven by sweeping pads, subtle melodies and a hypnotic low-end.

Rounding off the EP, Angel D’lite brings her signature rave energy to a remix of Memory Access, ipping it into a breakbeat-heavy workout packed with amen breaks, playful spinbacks, and cheeky vocal chops

Brooklyn duo Fundido team up with Philadelphia's Universal Cave to press their first physical release titled ‘Paradise Tempo’, a love letter to dance floor music that sits in the cross section of the tougher sounds of the city and the softer sounds of the balearic and the backwoods.The A side kicks off with a flawless downtempo mix from California based Dirty Dave and Alex Pasternak, who find a rare cover of the Cathy Denis classic and refurbish it to perfection. Next up is ‘Emotional Jungle’, a jazzy midtempo weapon led by a massive saxophone hook and edited to optimum club efficiency by NY based Nick Stropko. LA via Serbia’s Masha Mar unearths extremely rare gem ‘Take Me to Mecca’ and reworks it into a dreamy midtempo journey that carries both a children’s choir vocal and a middle eastern synth melody effortlessly across a foggy dance floor. And closing out the A-side is the wonderful ‘Charlie’s Vision’ from Universal Cave, a spooky AOR tinged cosmic trip that is only available on this vinyl pressing.The B Side leads with balearic beach party stomper ‘Amor’ from Fundido themselves; complete with Spanish vocals, lofty piano jamming and a contagious growling bassline. Next up is ‘Sex-O’ from Seoul man Tucan Discos, who reworks a tribal classic into a hypnotic and seductive club mix; followed by ‘Freak Estilo’ from Spain’s Ritmal Astral boss Orion Agassi who offers a bumping freestyle breaks mix with an addictive r&b vocal hook. Last but not least, the ‘Be Careful Operator’ edit from Miles Felix aka Sisserou closes down the function with a block party jam swimming with jazz, swing and soul.When asked what visual imagery they had in mind for Paradise Tempo, the prompt given to artwork maestro Ray Fernandez was ‘salt of the earth utopia’ and ‘working man’s paradise’ … and Ray delivered exactly that. Past Inside The Present is back with another of its quietly powerful ambient records, this time from Almost An Island, which is a collaboration between Kenneth James Gibson and husband and wife duo James and Cynthia Bernard. This black version of the self-titled oeuvre drifts through ambient, Americana and experimental soundscapes with musical elegance and tasteful restraint. Muted textures, swirling guitar, pedal steel and subtle vocals create a mood that draws you in close but is also grand in scale. Tracks like 'Quadrivium' and 'What Got Us To Our Feet' blur the line between memory and melody, while 'Palo Verde' and 'Promise to Fade' linger like a half-remembered dream. This isn't ambient as background-it's a fully formed emotional landscape that is both meditative and melancholic.

Emotional Especial reaches a landmark with its 50th release. Started in 2012 as a “dancier & trippier”, club friendly spin off, sub label to Emotional Response, it has gone on to forge a path, releasing a myriad of artists including the opening release by Jamie Paton (Cage & Aviary / ESP Institute) to Richard Sen (Bronx Dogs), the debut of Khidja (Malka Tuti / DFA) and on to unearthing the breaks masters Alphonse (Klasse Wrecks) and Junior Fairplay (Crimes Of The Future), the uplifting Italo influenced Lauer (Robert Johnson), the new wave anthem of Sfire (featuring Sophie), plus perfect remixes bt Kris Baha (CockTail D’amore) and INHALT (Dark Entries), the NYC pop-rave-vox of Kim Ann Foxman, through to showcasing upcoming artists like Berlin’s Giraffi Dog (Aiwo Recs) and the global acid adventures of Akio Nagase (Chill Mountain) to most recently, the slo-mo trance muscle of 53X and post-rave uplighters of Remotif (Space Lab) and DJ 1985.

As with every 10th release on the label, the label present a various artists “Showcase” of what and where the label is. Aptly it is recent signing 53X who opens Gracias Especial with the bounce of Radar. Finland’s Jonne Lydén debut EP on Especial, Zen ’23 came out of nowhere, more than simply riding a zeitgeist of the “Trance Revival”, his all-live analogue symphonies drop the bpms, presenting widescreen beats, darkroom bass, sirens and tripped out vox all mix to propel a singularly driven.

Taking things much deeper has been the hallmark of Jamie Paton’s remixes for the label. As well as providing the opening EP in 2013, designing every sleeve and producing 20 remixes and counting another 2 for the label here, it’s impossible not to associate Especial with Jamie’s music. First, he reworks rising star DJ, but recent break out producer Chez De Milo, with a trademark dub excursion that takes the ethnic origins of Kremer to a space echo wonderland. Space is the place, the lulling beats, see you falling through the gaps, true dub style.

Alphonse makes a rightful return to Especial, with Raze Rave highlighting the allusive producers’ unique understanding of the varied history of rave culture via a techno-suite of soundscapes, perfectly mixing uplifting breaks, memory inducing vocal samples and dub bass, with a nod to the pop sensibility that rave encompassed, while being that allusive “lost chord” moment of man and machine.

The finale returns to the trance acid expanse of 53X, with the mastery of label stalwart Jamie Paton. An apt marriage, Paton takes the title cut from Lydén’s debut EP and crafts a trademark durge-dub, where TB303 and space echo intertwine with the De Witte vocal, hinting at touches of dub, new wave, trance and acid house all in one melting pot of sound the label optimistically termed “Protoid” back at inception of summer 2013.

A truly essential piece of early Detroit Techno history here, Octave One's original white label "Octivation" EP from 1990 has long been a sought after and coveted slab of wax. This 5 track journey charts the Burden brothers mood from sinister, spacey, acidic Techno jams ("Sonic Fusion") to deeper, more melancholic mid-tempo cuts ("Nicolette") and along the way manages to usher in a new wave of Detroit Techno sounds.

Steeped in soul and depth "Octivation" was hinting towards the epic style Octave One would shape with their various projects in the following decades and releases. The earliest glimpse (Their 1st release) into a long and fruitful career that is still continuing today. This EP was a game changer and it's influence can still be felt in contemporary House and Techno right now.

Now, finally made available again to be re-discovered and experienced.

We’re back in the groove with the next instalment of our 45s, where killer music always wins over oddball cover art. This time we’re serving up a Balearic, under-the-radar sunset jam from obscure Belgian outfit North South East West. Soulful, warm, and effortlessly cool, it’s the kind of track that makes you want to quit your job and move to somewhere hotter.

To stretch out the magic, we called on Peckham’s finest, Medlar, who turns in a dubbed-out, spacey flip that sends the original into orbit. It’s deep, trippy, and built for the mix — you’ll want two copies just to keep it going.
