WRWTFWW Records announces the return of Louisiana-based composer and producer Jammin’ Sam Miller with A Link To The Past Tribute, his homage to the music of Zelda (A Link To The Past). His remake of the classic video game score is available as a limited edition green vinyl LP with artwork and sticker sheet by French illustrator Pierre Thyss, as well as an obi strip.

Originally composed by the legendary Koji Kondo, the epic 1991 Zelda soundtrack for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System is one of the most celebrated pieces of video game music ever, a sound that will automatically bring fans to a complete state of pixelized nostalgia bliss.

Jammin' Sam Miller entirely remade the soundtrack from scratch, note by note, without sampling any of the original audio. He recorded his cover versions by finding the original equipment used to create the score, translating the MIDI into a modern studio context, adding his keyboard sounds, and re-mixing and re-mastering the whole soundtrack with modern techniques. The result is a new experience of vintage Zelda music in full HD uncompressed glory and blessed with the beloved Jammin’ Sam Miller touch!

Celebrating the 5th anniversary of Conway's legendary tape with DJ Green Lantern "Reject On Steroids" with a vinyl reissue in collaboration with Drumwork Music. Tape features guest appearances by Royce Da 5'9" and Benny, and productions by DJ Green Lantern. For the occasion we have two different artworks by Shk, limited to 1500 units each.

Canadian minimal titan Akufen dominated the scene at the turn of the new millennium and has a fine back catalogue full of classics. Now the Montreal man is back with new music though and it's like he never went away - 'Breakin' Free' (feat Dominique Fils Aime) is a slow, smoochy sound with low-slung drums and r&b vocals, while 'You Naughty Scamp' is a little more propulsive as it rolls through deep house and bright, textured synth melody. 'Rubber Ducky' is another playful jam with jazzy top notes, sampled vocals cut up and smeared through the mix and languid bass funk. 'Sensitive People (With So Much To Give)' is another symphonic and soulful house sound.

Ron Basejam is, of course, a project from Crazy P co-founder James Baron where he focuses on deep and heavy house. He lands on Leeds label 20/20 Vision here with 'Maynard', which is a trudging rhythm brought to life with bluesy vocals and big horns. 'Bighorn' then works the filters to cook up an emotionally charged and loopy sound and 'Is It Daylight?' cuts more loose with a soulful, dusty sound that Moodymann would love. Last but not least is the cosmically charged 'The 8 Bit Slowdown' with its jazzy reed work and raw, broken, driving beats. A smart and varied four tracker from a real G.

Ayô Dele — which means "joy comes to me" in Yoruba — is neither a slogan nor a promised miracle. It is a breath of fresh air. That of an album born in the interstices, where the word find their way between shadow and light, between the disorder of the worldand the impulse to be .
At the heart of the project, Julien Gervaix and Damien Tesson, multi-instrumentalist beatmakers, share a groove language that is both dense and airy, where every detail breathes and finds its place.
With background in Afrobeat, Dub, Funk, Soul, Roots Reggae, and Electronic Music, they treat the studio to be their playground. Their music is a hybrid groove that speaks to the body: round or bouncing basslines, brass oscillating between melodic warmth and funk energy, textured guitars, arpeggios, enveloping Rhodes, clavinet that slides, presses, and embraces. Everything comes together with precision and flexibility, in an inventive and warm composition. The meeting of their experiences and sensibilities gives rise to open, generous music, made for dancing and vibration.
With Ayô Dele , Ireke is embarking on a new chapter: the duo is refining its style,allowing the voices to breathe. The groove remains the driving force but opens up to intimacy. This intimacy is carried by two unique female voices: Nayel Hoxo, a Beninese-Nigerian singer/rapper, and Agnès Hélène, who has already made a name for herself on Tropikadelic with "Petit a Petit". They don't sing side-by-side; they coexist, respond to each other, and sometimes intersect. But each follows her own path: Nayel, with the power of her words in Yoruba, offers songs of elevation, healing, and resistance — a light born in the cracks Agnès explores these cracks themselves: what wavers within us, what reinvents itself in bonds, glances, and gestures.

Armenian house, jazz and broken beat fusionist Henna Onna lands on wax for the first time here courtesy of Deeppa Records. Opener 'Shibuya Oiran' uses syncopated drum patterns and modal synth lines that pull from Eastern tonal references within a club framework. Kuniyuki Takahashi's fine remix extends the track with live-feel percussion and sustained chord progressions. 'Enoshima' then focuses on a steady groove with filtered melodic elements while Satoshi Fumi's remix increases rhythmic density with smartly layered drums and bass sequencing. These are sophisticated sounds for serious heads.

Canadian producer Kutcorners lands on vinyl with two standout tunes that come hot off the heels of his recently sold out 'Full Circle' 7". Again inspired by finding common ground between classic and contemporary house, 'Keep On Going', opens with springy drums and a rounded bassline flecked with subtle chord stabs. 'Play Me' leans into disco filter techniques, opening and closing the spectrum across a steady four-four pulse. Short vocal phrases punctuate the groove while muted guitar chops and filtered strings build tension before release. Playful and effective with an effortless charm.

Laurie Torres is a Canadian musician and composer raised in Montréal, Québec by Haitian parents. Since 2008, she has been a trusted stage and studio performer for Julia Jacklin, Pomme, and Land of Talk, as well as being a founding member of Folly & The Hunter, with whom she recorded four studio albums and toured Canada, Europe and the UK.

In 2023, Laurie shifted focus to work on her own creations, a process of making time - the will and the need becoming omnipresent. Drawing creative inspiration from contemporary artists like Tirzah, Gia Margaret, Valentina Magaletti, Tara Clerkin Trio and ML Buch, 'Après coup' finds Torres intersecting at a pivotal moment where artists whose marginalized identities are at the forefront in creating a beautiful array of "other options".

"Being othered and tokenized as a woman who plays music, as well as a queer and black person, takes a toll, while also positively feeding a strong urge to push and be seen."

Centering around piano, drums and synthesizer with interweaving field recordings, 'Après coup' follows the precursor ep 'Correspondances' in the form of a sprawling 11-track album. Translating directly from French - afterwards, after the event - its title subliminally points at something deeper between the lines. Recorded in 2023 between tours in a small window of time where 'normal' life hadn't quite recommenced, Torres meticulously crafted her debut solo material in view of surrounding nature, all providing the perfect nourishment for long streams of improvisation. Built right up to the edge of a lake, Studio Wild in St-Zénon, Québec offered an unparalleled location and set up for her freeform creativity.

Instrumental music seemed like a natural response and evolution for Torres who had long basked in the world of "pop music" as she elaborates: "I had an urge to use creativity as a sort of resting place, a place where things can unfold slowly and take time to reveal themselves. In other worlds words, I felt the need to make something slower, more elusive"

The immediacy of Torres' recorded takes doubled with minimal overdubs create a fiercely direct, intimate and unpolished lo-fi beauty. ¡NO PASARAN! is the extension to Extrawelt's DYSTORTION, from brooding tension to playful relief, the album took listeners on a six-year-crafted exploration. Their next EP picks up where this epic chapter left off and is clearly related. It's a hypnotic dive into shadow and dream, darkness and melancholy with subtle flashes of light.
The title track of the EP, already known from the album (D1 - Extrawelt - ¡No Pasaran!) carries a commanding presence, pulses with a rolling, insistent bassline that anchors shifting rhythmic currents and evolving sonic layers. Between tension and release, shadows and melody, it's a track that moves like a living entity.
Arctic Dead Run hits like a surge of raw energy. Acid lines roll relentlessly, building tension that feels alive. Mit "Morning Star" verbindet Kekht Aräkh vergangene Erkundungen mit neuer kollaborativer Energie und produziert ein Album, das die Black-Metal-Tradition der 90er Jahre würdigt und gleichzeitig Lo-Fi-Wärme, melancholische Melodien, klangliche Experimente und emotionale Offenheit umfasst. Die Stücke fühlen sich mal wie Verfolgungsjagden, mal wie langsame Überblendungen an - manchmal sogar innerhalb desselben Songs. Jazz-Improvisation teilt sich den Raum mit Reggae-Grooves, orchestralen Elementen und einer psychedelischen Pop-Atmosphäre. Explorativ, aber geerdet; komplex, doch stets klar groove-orientiert.Der Album-Opener ,Frizzante" ist eine reine musikalische Feier - ein energiegeladener Feel-Good-Banger, auf Band gebannt, in dem Marco über einem unnachgiebigen Groove Melodien mit sich selbst austauscht. Auf ,Turandot" wird Benevento von Italiens Marianne Mirage am Gesang begleitet; der düstere, cineastische Track bewegt sich mühelos zwischen den Welten von Portishead und Serge Gainsbourg.Mit ,Big Top" erweitert sich die klangliche Palette noch weiter: ausgestattet mit Sprachaufnahmen und Pfauengeräuschen lässt sich der Song am treffendsten als ,Zirkus-Funk" beschreiben. Ein Pfiff - und das Spiel beginnt mit ,Houdini", einem jazz-fusionhaften Dancefloor-Füller, der vom ersten Schlagzeugschlag an die Tür eintritt. Auf ,I Can't Control This Bliss" mischt Benevento Dream Pop unter und bittet Dream Crease ans Mikrofon - für eine Dosis lo-fi-getränkter Schönheit. Elizabeth Steiner steuert ihre renommierte Harfenarbeit zu ,Miss Neptune" bei, getragen von einem tief vibrierenden, reggae-inspirierten Fundament.Mit Vollgas prescht ,Sprezzatura" wie eine Hochgeschwindigkeitsverfolgung durch enge Straßen, während ,Quattro Passi" das Tempo drosselt und zum entspannten Schlendern einlädt - mit Jazzsängerin Chiara Civello als Feature.Marco Benevento agiert hier auf höchstem Niveau, formt Klang mit Zielstrebigkeit und Neugier.
