The Adicts came from Ipswich on the east coast of England, dressed in white in an amalgam of The Joker and Clockwork Orange imagery. Their previous studio albums had made a big impact in the UK, with singles entering the lower reaches of the national charts on Sire Records – (who insisted they change their provocative punky name to ADX or The Fun Adicts for children's TV!).

With catchy, glam-punk singalong tunes and theatrical shows, they were dramatic and exciting live – the best way to experience them. The Adicts still continue to grow their audience and regularly tour the USA, UK and Europe.

Native New Yorker, Paco Cathcart is an important progenitor of the NYC underground that birthed the likes of Water From Your Eyes, Palberta and Lily Konigsberg. Down On Them is Paco's first record by their own name after 100+ releases under the name The Cradle. "Down On Them" is about Paco's NYC homeland and living in these strange and often dark times. The record features some of the NYC's best players.

Die Songs stecken voller Ideen, die die meisten Metalmusiker niemals in dieser Form gehabt hätten. Und auch die Umsetzung ließ schon immer den Verdacht aufkommen, dass hier Profimusiker aus einem anderen Genr beauftragt wurden, ein Heavy Metal Album zu schreiben und aufzunehmen – natürlich standesgemäß mit Künstlernamen wie The Lion oder Mike Battista. Ein Verdacht, der sich nach Jahren der Recherche nun bestätigt hat. Auch heute wird nich jeder Metalfan in die Welt von Mystery hineinfinden, doch we es schafft, hat ein Album fürs Leben gefunden und muss sich der Suchtgefahr hingeben. Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band, das mysteriöse Steel-Pan-Outfit aus Hamburg, machte 2024 von sich reden, als der französische Film „Anatomy of a Fall“ einen Oscar für das beste Originaldrehbuch gewann. Bacaos Cover von 50 Cents „PIMP“ war prominent in dem Film vertreten und spielte eine so große Rolle in der Handlung, dass es zum Synonym für den Erfolg des Films wurde. Später sorgten sie dafür, dass bei der Oscar-Verleihung zum ersten Mal Steel Pans im Orchestergraben auftauchten, um die Melodie zu spielen, als die Regisseurin Justine Triet die Bühne betrat, um den Preis entgegenzunehmen. Davis conceived Bitches Brew by having the musicians stand in a semi-circle. There, he pointed at them with vague directions for tempo, solos, and cues. The collective improvisation and interplay spawned a galaxy of melodies and grooves that were later spliced together by producer Ted Macero. Benefitting from the ultra-low noise floor and superb groove definition of this pressing, these distinct creations take shape with utmost realism. Compositions stretch across jet-black backgrounds and paint canvases laden with millions of colors and shades. Juxtaposed percussion, loose jams, and melodic segues explode with impressionistic verve.

Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab’s UltraDisc One-Step (UD1S) technique bypasses generational losses inherent to the traditional three-step plating process by removing two steps: the production of father and mother plates, which are created to yield numerous stampers from each lacquer that is cut. For UD1S plating, stampers (also called “converts”) are made directly from the lacquers. Since each lacquer yields only one stamper, multiple lacquers need to be cut. Kicking off the release, the title song django mango takes us through the swirls of the alleys of bogota, a bit as if moodymann had paid for a first class round trip in bogota , a laid-back title that can be enjoyed at any time of the day. a clever mix of funky bassline & a light piano that almost reminds us of the masters of the buena vista social club (without the vocals!) in house mode. A masterpiece in itself. on A2, we can hear this mixture again the perfect fusion between the golden-age house aesthetics and the cultural sounds of South America all complemented by a superb vocal during the break "our names are nick names wich won't reflect where we came from" a statement in itself ! The b-side from the outset gives us perhaps one of the best songs of the ep, the brilliant dakar, a subtle mix of rhodes, swaying bass and African children's chants. Since launching Volume 1 in 2019 and following up with the second volume in 2022, Gangster Doodles has been shaping the Gangster Music series into a one-of-a-kind sonic universe—an unfiltered mix of underground titans, unsung legends, and rising stars. Volume 3 is the biggest installment yet, boasting a staggering 30 tracks that traverse the entire spectrum of rap and beat culture.

This time around, the lineup is as eclectic as ever. From legendary pioneers like Lee Perry and Tommy Wright III, to veteran producers such as Mr. Scruff and Peanut Butter Wolf, the album pays homage to hip-hop’s roots while pushing forward into fresh territory. The roster also includes established up-and-comers like Devin Morrison, Low Leaf, DJ Harrison, Quelle Chris, Homeboy Sandman, and Suzi Analogue, ensuring a mix of classic flavors and new-school innovation. The bubbling underground is well represented too, with artists like Raz Fresco, Atlanta’s 645AR, and Pro Era’s Chuck Strangers bringing their own distinct heat.

As always, the cover art is a vital piece of the puzzle. This time, Bootleg Garfield & Friends take center stage, bringing the same playful irreverence that has defined Gangster Doodles’ artwork for years. Rebotini is also a master of the remix, collaborating with legendary acts like Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Nitzer Ebb, and Bloc Party amongst others, and delivering a standout reinterpretation of Bronski Beat’s "Smalltown Boy" for the "120 Beats Per Minute" soundtrack. His remix work blends respect for the originals with his own creative power, placing him among the most revered names in electronic music.

The EP opens with “Snowy Sunday Smile”, a track that combines melodic depth with techno power, showcasing Rebotini's mastery of analog live performance in a compelling and emotional way. “Abnegation Electronique” follows with a subtle homage to Drexciya’s universe, fusing deep basslines and hypnotic layers to create a pure and immersive electro experience. On the B-side, “December in G” delivers a live improvisation featuring SH101 and TB303, seamlessly shifting between G minor and G major chords, evoking life’s contrasts between shadow and light. Aghast was a project by Nebelhexe and Nacht, released in 1994. This album was released back then by the legendary Cold Meat Industry and is now presented in a great re-edition Vinyl by Eternal Pride. “Hexerei Im Zwielicht Der Finsternis” is the real dark and gloomy ambiance played in a classical dark wave vein. Minimalism in musical content, compensated by spooky and ice-cold vocals that will haunt you. Macabre enchantresses will seduce you and take you to their ghastly realm. Hear gods cry and angels fall. Listen to horror and beauty. Let Aghast bewitch you! Definitely one of the best Dark Ambient albums of all time.

Fernando's debut for Leng was the universally well received mid-tempo monster 'Blue Impala'. Now he's back with yet another hypnotic bass heavy workout. 'Giant Desert' takes the same low slung approach with some heavy guitar work from Fiorucci. This is really is chugging music at it's best, with fashes of vocal, analog synths and a dirty rock guitar combining to keep that head nodding. The Extended Dub allows Fiorucci more space to hit the groove and the guitar work becomes epic.

Remastered reissue of the orginal Hemi-Sync EP by Speedy J alias Public Energy. With the anthemic, and arguably one of the best tracks ever to come from the little silver box, Three 'O Three!!! Hemi-Sync and B.S.G combine the harder side of early 90's Chicago / Detroit sound aesthetic with the first hints of where Jochem would go with his music in the later 90's. First released on +8 sub Probe Records in 1992. This one was due for a re-issue.

Der Soundtrack von Carlos Rafael Rivera erhielt 2024 zwei von insgesamt 10 prestigeträchtigen Emmy-Nominierungen, die Apples Miniserie "Lessons In Chemistry" (2023) einheimsen konnte, nämlich für "Outstanding Music Composition" und "Outstanding Main Title Theme Music". Rivera schrieb eine optimistische, subtile und vorsichtige Grundlage, die durch starke Leistungen der Besetzung getragen wird und eine ernsthafte, emotionale Reflexion des Kampfes der weiblichen Hauptfigur darstellt, in die Grenzen der gesellschaftlichen Erwartungen zu passen.

"Lessons in Chemistry" spielt in den frühen 1950er Jahren und handelt von Elizabeth Zott (Brie Larson), deren Traum, Wissenschaftlerin zu werden, in einer patriarchalischen Gesellschaft auf Eis gelegt wird. Als Elizabeth aus ihrem Labor gefeuert wird, nimmt sie einen Job als Moderatorin einer Kochshow im Fernsehen an und macht sich daran, einer Nation übersehener Hausfrauen – und den Männern, die plötzlich zuhören – viel mehr als nur Rezepte beizubringen.

'Gone Down Meadowland' is the much-anticipated debut album release from Norwich, UK psych outfit Floral Image, releasing 25th April 2025 on the renowned Fuzz Club. More than ever, the band wanted to produce a brand of East-Coast psychedelia that reflected the natural lusciousness and glorious solitude of the immediate world around them. Over 30 songs were conjured, considered and arranged before being whittled down to a final 10 that epitomise what they do best - ten tracks of vivid hue, harnessed live power, all laced together in fluid lyrical harmonies. Taking inspiration from band favourites Woods, KGLW, Stereolab, among many others, a string of at-home recording sessions commenced over a 6-week period across the summer of 2024. Side A is a sun-drenched journey through their whimsical Norfolk countryside, narrated with a surreal sense of lyricism which focuses on the undulating flow of the human psyche and the shape of relationships that can decide its fate. 'Burning 305' follows the mould of the band’s earlier creations with white-knuckled rhythms layered with dashing production and gritty guitars. 'The Score' summarises their love of Revolver-era Beatles and infuses it with a hint of 90's dance grooves. Side B is where the trip takes a heavier turn, the un-hinged night-time of the record. It is where the band best shows the force with which their live reputation has been built on. 'Tiergarten' - a motorik course through consciousness and 'Howling Dog Song' - all raucous, scuzzy-garage riffing. The album concludes with the 7-minute epic 'Sun For Hire'. Born out of a 30-minute live improvisation, it is the earliest written of all songs on GDM and a strong fan favorite for the audiences of the last 2 years. "A lot of themes are anti-establishment commentaries on the state of the modern world. It can feel isolating being bystanders of global concern in sleepy Norfolk, even though it’s easy to slip into a false comfort when you’re surrounded by vast space, natural beauty and friendly folks down the market. Gone Down Meadowland is that egoless escapist fantasy that still can't escape the world caving in on itself; Norfolk isolationism." Produced by the band themselves, mixed by Hugh Fothergill of Volleyball, and mastered by Joseph Carra at Crystal Mastering of KGLW fame, Gone Down Meadowland is Floral Image’s first full flourish. They take the record on the road across Europe and the UK throughout April & May 2025.
