"Patching", das intime Debütalbum der in Minnesota lebenden Sängerin und Songwriterin runo plum, fängt auf elegante Weise die Kontraktion, Expansion und Befreiung einer intensiven Phase emotionaler Heilung ein, und zwar in sanftem, strahlendem Indie-Rock. "Patching" ist ein üppiges Debütalbum, das aus einem gebrochenen Herzen entstanden ist und reichhaltige Klangmomente enthält, die emotionale Leere ausgleichen und aus einem Ende Expansion schaffen. Die ungezügelte Aufrichtigkeit des Albums ist nichts Neues für runo plum, die seit einem halben Jahrzehnt in ihrem Schlafzimmer ihre komplexen Folk-Songs schreibt und still und leise veröffentlicht. Während der Pandemiejahre erregte sie zunehmend die Aufmerksamkeit eines immer größer werdenden Kreises von Zuhörern und begann, unabhängig eine Reihe von Singles und EPs zu veröffentlichen, während sie sich gleichzeitig als Support für Searows, Angel Olsen und Hovvdy. Das Album dokumentiert die zweischneidige Natur von Liebe und Verlust in einem schmerzhaften freien Fall des Indie-Rock mit derselben unverblümten Offenheit wie die frühen Alben von Julia Jacklin und Big Thief. ,Patching" wurde in einer Hütte im ländlichen Vermont über einen Zeitraum von zwei Wochen aufgenommen. Zusammen mit Lutalo, dem in Minnesota geborenen, in Vermont lebenden Musiker und Produzenten und runos Kollaborateur, der Instrumentalistin und Freundin Noa Francis konzentrierte sich das Trio auf den honigsüßen, zeitgeprägten Klang einer hundertjährigen Akustikgitarre und die angenehme Wärme von runos Stimme. Auf den zwölf Tracks von ,Patching" malt runo melodische Bögen, die sich drehen und taumeln, und schafft Songs, die sowohl die dunstigen Höhen als auch die dunkelblauen Tiefen aller natürlichen Zyklen, die die Welt drehen lassen, einfangen.

Debütalbum der australischen Post-Punk-Band dust. Gegen Ende 2023 tourte die Band durch Australien als Support von Interpol und Bloc Party und stand gemeinsam mit den Shoegaze-Pionieren Slowdive im Enmore Theatre in Sydney und trat gemeinsam mit Protomartyr in Antwerpen auf. Ihre kraftvolle Live-Präsenz brachte ihnen eine weitere Einladung ein, gemeinsam mit Interpol zum 20-jährigen Jubiläum von Antics aufzutreten, wobei sie die Bühne einiger der renommiertesten Veranstaltungsorte in Großbritannien und Europa betraten. Im Jahr 2024 begann dust, ihren Sound neu zu definieren, indem sie Free-Jazz-Einflüsse und halllastige Gitarrenklänge in ihre Singles einfließen ließen und damit Anleihen bei Shoegaze und Experimentalismus machten. dusts Entwicklung setzt sich auf ihrem Debütalbum ,Sky Is Falling" fort. Ihr Sound, der auf Genre-Defiance und Neuerfindung basiert - Shoegaze und elektronischer Experimentalismus Seite an Seite mit schwer fassbaren Saxophonarrangements und abrasiven Gitarrenlinien - ist fest in Melancholie und Selbstreflexion verwurzelt. Alex Voorhies, known to dance floor connoisseurs as lil_art_hoe, is a multidisciplinary artist based in Louisiana, where they operate the boutique imprint Techno Money Records. lil_art_hoe’s signature sound is raw and unedited, with an array of grooves and melodies endlessly swirling to create truly unique tracks full of big ideas, but completely lacking in regard for normalcy.
For this Studio Barnhus debut, lil_art_hoe delivered two prime examples of their sonic practice, with elements constantly expanding and contracting, resulting in some of the most captivating yet straight-forward club music heard at Studio Barnhus HQ in recent times. A side standard living comes with a special dub mix prepared by the artist themself, while OG rave daddy and long time Studio Barnhus hero Truncate was called in to deliver a high octane techno take on flipside recall.

Following their first outing earlier this year (Vol. 1 on Sucata Tapes / SUC66), the duo returns with a bigger, deeper, and smoother bang on Vol. 2 – Filhos.
The grooves remain intact, expanding on the raw funk blueprint of Vol. 1 — now infused with Tropicália-rooted freedom, Sun Ra-style celestial chaos, and a tighter, more confident feel. The sonic palette is rich and eclectic: samplers, bells, analog synths, drums, marimba, vibraphone, bass, violas, and more are layered into a warm, rhythmic tapestry that honours the past while forging new sonic terrain.
At its core, Filhos (Portuguese for "Sons") is a tribute to lineage and tradition. It reflects the idea that we are all shaped by what came before — and through music, Guilherme & Bruno honor that legacy while pushing it into the future.

Los Angeles artist and musician Shlohmo returns with a vinyl repress of two of his defining albums: "Bad Vibes" and "The End". From the first sounds of Henry Laufer"s early work, it was clear he was forging a new path in electronic music - melding hazy textures, emotive melodies, and fractured beats into a sound both intimate and expansive. Bad Vibes introduced Shlohmo"s lo-fi, slowmotion approach, crafting emotive atmospheres that would influence a generation of West Coast producers. The End, a cinematic journey of chaos and calm, cemented his status as a visionary, blending apocalyptic tension with moments of quiet reflection, made with drum machines, vintage synths, and improvised recording techniques.

Marc Brauner joins Flipsight with a four-track journey combining soulful depth and club-ready energy in equal measure.
Under Marc's motto, "Stay Radiant", the A-side opens with a deep head-nodder that glows with a smooth and rolling groove from start to finish. "It's Alright" immediately raises the pulse with tight percussion, lush pads, and feel good momentum.

Flip it over for the B-side, "Show Me How" rides a big kick-snare combo and subtle spacy accents. Closing things out, "Floaty" does exactly what the title suggests: a bass-driven buzzer that lifts the floor and seals the deal.

Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of it's yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. The release includes the original liner notes by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign on the band's own Bad Brains Records imprint with Org Music. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering.

Mit Klassikern wie „All I Want” und „All Signs Point to Lauderdale” markierte dieses genreübergreifende
Album eine bedeutende klangliche und inhaltliche Weiterentwicklung der Band aus Ocala, Florida. Während
sie ihre charakteristische Mischung aus Metalcore und Pop-Punk beibehielten, wurden auf dem Album dunklere und ernstere Themen als auf ihren früheren Werken behandelt. Nach seiner Erstveröffentlichung im
Jahr 2010 erreichte „What Separates Me From You“ Platz 11 der Billboard 200 und führte unter anderem
die Top-Hardrock-Albumcharts an. 2016 wurde es von der RIAA mit Gold ausgezeichnet.
Diese besondere Edition von „What Separates Me From You“ wurde auf Coke Bottle Clear Vinyl gepresst und enthält ein einzigartiges Jubiläums-Artwork sowie eine Akustikversion von „All I Want“.

“UR wonders” What happens to jazz if combined with the current electronic sound tools used to make Detroit techno now?
What might Jazz sound like if the inspirational pioneers of fusion ie; Return to Forever, Astral Pirates or Weather Report had access to the music production technology available now or in the future?
The artform called Jazz was a unique reflection of “The African American experience here in the United States.Unfortunately by the 90″s it had been compromised by major record companies and made “smoother” for mainstream consumption and more profits.
Born in America’s rural black south Rock & Roll had suffered the same fate years earlier. Original artists eventually replaced by well studied clones and corporate mega profits!! Also happening the original artform of jazz appeared to be caught, processed & throughly EXPLAINED by people who sought to intellectualize “struggle & human emotion” into mere words and then benefit immensely financially by being authorities on the subject.

It's not often where I sign a whole release off the back of a demo folder sent to me but when Radicall sent me some tunes he'd made on the Polyend Tracker, I was well impressed by the quality of the tunes & knew I had to have some for the label.

I narrowed it down to my favourite four and thankfully, they were all available for signing and ready for release, probably one of the most seamless releases I've worked on since I started Future Retro London a few years back!

I first remember meeting Eminence in 2019, at one of her Upraw events she was doing at the time in Leeds (now taking place in Bristol). She had booked me & Coco Bryce to play & since then, we kept in contact and she would send me her music that she was working on.

Last year, I heard that she had collaborations on the go with both Dwarde & Kid Lib, which made me curious about how those tunes would sound & when she sent me early previews of them, I was very keen on getting them for the label. It took quite a while for both of these collabs to get finished but eventually, after many back & forth between Eminence & both artists, we reached a point where everyone was happy (I think!) with the end results.

I was asked by Priori (a producer based in Montreal) who runs a label called NAFF about doing a remix of this tune called "First Step To Peace" by Sabola. I did the remix that month & both him & Sabola were pleased with how it sounded and it got the go ahead for release (should be out at some point soon!)

In February, I had a gig in Montreal where I was able to meet both of them beforehand to hang out and chat about music and such & getting to know Sabola in person, I realised that he had more interest in & knowledge about jungle than I had initially assumed. Also, he was occasionally producing jungle tunes, but none of them had been released before.

I asked him to send me some of what he had been working on & when he sent me "Close Your Eyes", I knew straight away that I needed to get him on the label in some form. I signed that track instantly and then waited for him to work on some more music for a Future Retro London release, which then resulted in "Give You Some Space" & that was all I needed.

In the end, I decided that rather than doing 2 separate 10" releases for the collabs Eminence had done with Dwarde & Kid Lib and the tracks that Sabola had made, it would be more practical to combine them into a split 12" EP release & here we are.
