We're really excited to release our first 7"! We've been sitting on this Carisma 80's synth boogie track for a few years, waiting for the right partner to come along and finally found one in the shape of 'Breathe', an electro ripper featuring our old pal, Alejandro Paz on vocals. Both tracks bookended our Boiler Room Upfront mix last year and we've been asked about them ever since. Now you can enjoy them too.

This record is the most important promo tool of Leipzig's own M.ono in his grand scheme to conquer the world with his supersecret cocktail named, Die Volle Schnauze. All flavours and 17 secret ingredients of this wonderful drink come together in the 4 tracks of this EP. So if you're digging the forward groove and jumping keys of Volle schnauze, The 'shit-is-the-sun-already-coming-up' vibe of Perle, the dancing arps of Delaware state route and the freaked out acid of Pegasus '83, you'll surely like the cocktail. Whatever's the hell's in it. Sincerely yours, Lars & Maarten Vital sales points: - M.ono got instant underground love for his first artist EP on his own Rose Records when Move D. destroyed the boiler room playing 'Holding back California'. - M.ono produces some amazing tunes together with label co-owner Luvless. - Full Cover with 180 Gr. Petwo Evans return with another stonking release! This time around, they've went pretty melodic on us - not that we're complaining.. Something for everyone here with a belting peak time title track - first heard on the most recent Auntie Flo Boiler Room - alongside some really beautiful moments; which you may have heard opening our Truants and Electronic Exploration mixes in recent times, to form one of our most unusually brilliant releases yet.

Mbongwana Star is a newly formed band from Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratc Republic of Congo. Made up of a sprawling network of shanty-towns and night shelters, day-to-day life in the city is far from easy, but the band don't want sympathy. Tired of pre-conceptons around African music, Mbongwana Star ('Mbongwana' means 'change') are creatng their own identty, fusing traditonal Congolese rhythms with post punk and´electronics inspired by life in the townships around them,
'making magic out garbage' says producer and band member Doctor L (who produced Tony Allen's
'Black Voices' album). The result is revolutonary. This isn't an African band per se. It's a trans-global barrier-bustng sound
machine. '..an altogether unique vibe. We will be paying close atenton' - Boilerroom

Following up his debut on the label, JC Laurent successfully returns with this memorbable four tracker, Southside' EP. Using his influences from deep within Berlin and detroit, he resumes where he left off, continually blurring the lines between techno and house with an uncanny ability to make it look easy.

similar to 2013's From Nice to Berlin', we have been fortunate to cast an extremely well respected, and in-demand producer to join forces on this release. last time it was Fred P, and now Uk's Tom Dicicco provides a heady, seductive remix of the title track. Tom has been busy releasing on labels such as Run Out Run, Stockholm LTD, Ear to Ground, Inner Surface and The Corner. additionally, his globetrotting dJ skills have found him inside Berghain and also a standout appearance at Boiler room in london. we love his work and glad he's a part of it.

Hidden Recordings again focuses on quality over quantity with another master- fully curated vinyl. southside' ep looks to be the next classic in the already well stocked and established history of the imprint.

Nach ihrem 12" Debüt auf Innervisions, Berlins bester Adresse in Sachen House Musik, haben sich Daniel Bortz und Sascha Sibler für eine zweite 12" für Permanent Vacation zusammengetan. Die A Seite "Tomorrow We Start A New Life Again" sorgte bereits im Boiler Room Set von Daniel Bortz für viel Aufmerksamkeit und positives Feedback. Die B Seite "If Not Tomorrow Maybe Someday" ist eine wunderbar verspielte House Nummer, die eigentlich immer ins Set passt.

With France's long-fallow club scene back in international resurgence as Paris storms back into fighting form, Europe now has found a new source for yet-unheard music. It was a long time brewing, but names like Concrete, Katapult, Zadig, and Society of Silence, have begun to appear in the international clubbing circuit, and the growth is not limited to the capital. Further south in Lyon, a city quickly gaining its own renown for busy club parties booking bigger names, there exists a smaller circle of energetic operators whose name is also spreading rapidly and whose recent accomplishments include Nuites Sonores, Boilerroom and more. Spearheaded by Kosme, a DJ and producer of quickly increasing notice, the provincial powerhouse has already turned heads throughout France as Kosmo's Caramelo Records was snapped up by legendary Parisian distributor Syncrophone; he has a new label set to launch in 2014. It is with this background in mind that THEMA proudly offers Kosme's international debut, the 'April Moon' EP.

Kosme comes to the table with six tracks of low-slung Detroit-referencing house music laced with extra grit. 'Fondamental' rides shuffling hats and a building acid line to dramatic heights. 'Ever Shake My Mind' is slower and dirtier yet, with crushed hats and a bottom-lurking bass between Theo Parrish-esque drum-machine-down-the-stairs breakdowns. After an interlude, 'Mothafunka' resumes the beatdown with a talkover house track that escalates uncontrollably in intensity as drums shuffle before breaking down in congos & pads. 'Deep Function' dials down to sexier sounds with sultry vocal samples and sampled hiss, but it doesn't lose the drum kink. Finally the digital bonus 'A Thought for Yvonne' is the most subdued and skeletal of all with echoed drums and a lonely bassline tumbling over each other in slow motion.

Following the explosion of new sounds from the capital, it is no surprise to find the movement spreading, and THEMA arrives first with the freshest France has to offer.
