Die deutsche Black-/Death-Metal-Kultband Ch’ahom opfert ihr zweites Album „Anthropic Rites of Sublimation“ auf dem Opferaltar – ein Konzeptalbum, das in einer fiktiven Welt spielt, die von den Ritualen, der Kunst und der Architektur vorspanischer Kulturen inspiriert ist. Anknüpfend an ihre EP „Ts’ono’ot“ entfaltet sich die Geschichte um eine Cenote von unvorstellbaren Ausmaßen, deren kosmischer Ruf die Verlorenen und Unsicheren zur Selbstaufopferung treibt. Vier Zivilisationen erheben sich an ihrem Rand, wobei jede ihre eigenen Riten, Hierarchien und Monumente entwickelt, um den tödlichen Ruf des Abgrunds in eine Grundlage für kollektives Dasein zu verwandeln.
Ch’ahom verleiht dieser imaginären Welt Gestalt durch höhlenartigen Death Metal, bestialische Ausbrüche und fieberhaft progressive Strukturen. The Channel series is set to include a run of electro and experimental EPs under his SC-164 alias. For the second installment, he presents inventive, rough-edged future music with no signs of human life, and it's utterly thrilling.
The first track is a blizzard of frosty, serrated synths and hard drums that are designed for dance floor destruction. 002-002 continues this way, an intergalactic face-off, with laser synths firing across the face of jittery, punch drum programming. Textured and raw, it's pure and powerful machine music. Next up, 003 layers up ghoulish white noise and synth bleeps that are brilliantly bleak and dystopian. The closer is a roaming electro cut, with menacing bass and groaning synths taking you to the heart of a stone-lit frenzy.

Sean McBride has been producing work under the Martial Canterel moniker dating back to 2002 as well as working as half of Xeno And Oaklander. These tracks capture the allure and depth of Sean's early work exploring rhythms and perfectly crafted pop songs using a very early incarnation of limited instrumentation. Fans of Martial Canterel's early work (think "Austerton" and "Sister Age") will be instantly elated. This is the first time these tracks have been released on vinyl and have been remastered for this release by Martin Bowes at the Cage, UK. Contains special bonus insert with lyrics. Dina Summer is the Berlin-based collaborative project of Greek-German dark-disco couple Local Suicide and Bavarian electronic producer Kalipo. The supergroup began working together in 2019 and have since been refining their combined sound. It is a unique blend of their influences, drawing from 80s italo disco, new wave, EBM and early 00s electroclash for a dark retro-futuristic synth/wave pop sound that stands out with club-ready basslines, epic melodic hooks, and lyrics ranging from dadaist abstractions to empowering, thought-provoking themes.
The trio will return with their new mini album, “Children Of The Night”, bringing together all the elements that have defined their sound so far. From the disco infused synth pop of “Burning Heart” and “Bats In Paris,” recalling their debut album Rimini (2022), to the dark club driven tracks “Fuel”, “Komodo 3000”. and the title track “Children Of The Night,” which echo the atmosphere of Hide & Seek (2024), and the dark wave influenced indie songs “Rat Race” and “On The Road”, which would have felt right at home on “Girls Gang” (2025), the release showcases the full spectrum of the band's musical identity. The nine track record takes its title from and pays homage to Bela Lugosi's iconic line in Dracula (1931): “Listen to them. Children of the night… what music they make”.

They say 3 is the magic number so here we are with Part 3 of our 'Back To The Old School' 12" series. Four cuts of the finest Disco-Rap remixes by Dave 'Love' Lee, we start things right off with some uptempo disco in the shape of Eddie Cheeba's " Lookin' Good" with it's clav stabbing & synth jabbing funk, ready to rock any dance floor with it's brilliant part-rapped, part-sung vocal play. Two versions are included of the B-Boys early 80's breakers anthem 'Rock The House'. First up is the breakbeat underpinned 'Magic Funk' mix that utilises one of the funkiest basslines of all time. On the flip the 'Roller Rink' mix is a mid tempo floor filler reprising a much loved 90s r&b jam to great effect. Finishing affairs is the 'Maximus Boogie Mix' of Maximus Three, leaning heavily into the classic disco-rap sound of fat Good Times bass, squelching synths under the bragging raps of TJ Swann and Pee Wee Mel.

Starting out back in the day merely with a Commodore 64 computer and a few synths, his studio gear arsenal has constantly evolved over the years into a myriad of unfathomable boxes, cables and bangin’ in his attic allowing him to freely manipulate his random audio creations into the most serious and fun grooves anywhere in the techno realms. From within a tomb in ancient lands comes this 'Bandage Boogie.' A hallowed homage to all things that are non-stop breakin' n' stompin' n' boppin' to the RIOT beats that have now manifested themselves on a 'Mummificated' dance floor near you. This aint street life, this is tomb life, and you'll need as many sacred tanna leaves to keep you movin’ as your fiendish high priest will bestow upon you. This brewed techno fluid that we're administering will ultimately invoke 'The Curse of RIOT’ and you’ll be doomed to eternal bouncin' aboot to its 'Pyramid Pongo' beats that go mysteriously THUMP in the night. Each track on here, and especially in his infamously legendary live sets, are unique in that they get erased from his machines after their creation and won’t ever be spawned again, but ssssssssssssssh, Mummy's the word.
